Santana yanked on Hiccup's reins, there was screaming and elves fleeing trying to get away from the dragon which appeared smaller now that she was nearing it, like it had actually decreased in mass. She needed to unite both Charlie and her dragon ASAP, the magic was dissipating, and she wasn't sure how much longer she had. That and she had no idea how to even begin to deal with Charlie's dragon, but if anyone could find Charlie in all this chaos it was her dragon, it was a piece of her soul, a very big piece of her soul.

She wasn't even certain if the dragon would recognize her, and given the fact that Charlie's dragon was currently committing genocide against the elves, with what she could only describe as utter glee, she wasn't quite sure how it would respond to her. Charlie's dragon was aware of her existence, but it might have been offended that she had chosen to mate with Charlie, or that she was nothing more than a mere panther. If she was lucky Charlie's dragon would simply think of her like most dragons thought of beast-kin, as pets.

"You need to stay here Hiccup," Santana said as she patted the drake on the neck and slid off him. Charlie's dragon was currently in the process of burning down an entire forest, probably to mark her territory and a dragonoid, even a drake wouldn't be welcome without express permission. Still she needed to rescue her mate, and there was no point in hanging back when part of her mate was right in front of her. She takes a step forward but immediately freezes when she watches Charlie's dragon trample over a screaming elf. It would probably be wiser to grab the dragon's attention than it would be to rush in and possibly get trampled to death or set on fire. She wasn't an elf that had clearly earned Charlie's ire. Instead she slowly shifts into her jaguar form. She quickly finds an elevated place and lets out a roar.

It's not as impressive as a lion's roar, in fact she used to be self conscious about how her mating call sounded. Other beastkin had described it as more of a sawing sound than an actual roar. Charlie had been the first person to adore her roar, and she could only hope that it would wake Charlie's dragon up. She inhales deeply and lets out a roar, making it as loud as possible and watching as Charlie's dragon actually stops moving and turns towards her.

The dragon's eyes which had been vertical slits suddenly become round and a massive tongue is released as the dragon bounces towards her, and lets out a rather loud purr as it lowers itself to her level, getting down low and shaking its tail.

Santana slowly shifts back into her human form and extends her hand ever so slightly, stopping just a few inches away from the magic dragon, and waiting, until she feels something warm press against her hand and the dragon looks ready to pounce on her. "You're a bit too big to be jumping on me," Santana admits frowning as the dragon shrinks even as she looks at it. The magic was beginning to fail, even if she wasn't an expert in magic, she knew that. "We need to find your body."

The dragon's eyes suddenly constrict and it lets out a very annoyed huff at her blowing some smoke into her face causing her to burst out into a fit of coughs that irritate her wounds that she grimaces only to hear the purring again and her body suddenly feels warm, and cozy and she can feel her eyes getting heavy. Golden magic that matched Charlie's brilliant scales was leaking off the dragon and wrapping around her, causing her skin to glow. Her mate was healing her and she reached to scratch under the dragon's chin even as she watched it get smaller as it attempted to heal her. She immediately reacts trying to push the dragon away, "Stop it. You're killing yourself," Santana snaps at the dragon who ignores her and finishes healing her.

The dragon lets out a purr expecting to be praised but Santana just scowls at her mate. "You're supposed to listen to me."

The dragon huffs at this, almost like it's scoffing at the idea that it was supposed to listen to her.

"You're dying, and I am too young, too pretty to become a widower. To have lost my mate, it would kill me literally. We need to find your body and you need to return to it."

The dragon huffs angrily at her and stomps its foot, as if it was disagreeing.

"She was never aware of you, she did get dropped from the roof of the palace, and that fractured your bond with her. But she's aware now, and you can fix the connection, and you won't be trapped anymore," Santana says, reaching to touch the dragon. "I need my mate, I came all the way here to rescue you and I had to deal with Kara bitching the entire time and being utterly useless and nearly getting me eaten. And the kingdom needs you. Your family misses you."

Just as she thinks that she's getting through to the dragon, vines suddenly shoot out from the treetops and wrap around the dragon, attempting to capture it. The dragon lets out an ear-splitting roar of annoyance and begins to breathe fire burning the vines.

Her claws slice through some of the vines and she wonders if her mate would allow her to ride on its back, they needed to find Charlie's body and fix whatever was done to her, when a massive explosion rocks the entire area and large shadows swoop down from the sky revealing a few airships.

~ O ~

Kara scowled as she climbed up a tree, she was a dwarf and this was completely antithetical to her entire being. She was going to have some very sharp words for Charlie's mate, and if that meant finding Charlie's body so she could show Santana why they needed to do what needed to be done. This whole thing was embarrassing, and the fact that what appeared to be the beginning of the entire Argon forces appearing in the sky. They should have taken a damn airship but Santana had insisted on taking the slow way, and if anyone asked she was going to insist that the reason her best friend was dead was because of Santana's stubbornness.

She had spent days away from Lena, and she missed her terribly, and she was going to insist that if Charlie was alive, a fact which she very much doubted, that her first born be named after her, or some traditional dwarven name. Just so Charlie would always be reminded of what she had lost, several days with Lena.

She grumbles as she finally makes it to the top and takes a look around the Elven capital, houses built into flammable trees, a palace that a lightning storm could burn to the ground. To think that the Elves though that they were skilled at anything that would stand the test of time. There was nothing like dwarven engineering. She was pretty sure even their armor was made out of wood, a special type of wood that was a bit more resilient to fire damage, but it was still wood. It would burn under the right conditions, in fact now that they were here and there were a bunch of dead elves around, she was going to loot all the dead and get as much Sylvain wood as she could so she could take it back to her kingdom and study it. It might have some use, and she was certain she'd be able to manage it a bit better than any filthy elf.

"We must get a handle on this situation before she burns down the great forest, use whatever means necessary but the dragon must remain alive!" Cersei yells ordering what was left of her magical order to do something.

Kara ducks into a house and grips her warhammer, she'd been thrown into a rather central location and if Queen Cersei and her shitty waste of seed welp was around then Charlie had to be nearby. She tightens her grip on her warhammer, elven magic was a problem so she'd need to take out all the mages quickly and effectively before she would start looking for Charlie's corpse. "The things that I put my body through for you," Kara muttered under her breath as she spun her warhammer reflexively, she needed to keep swinging without stopping until she had gotten through. Joffrey had never been talented, and killing him would piss Charlie off the most, she had called dibs. So she'd make sure to go after him once she was done with the magical elves.

Taking another deep breath and shifting her grip on her hammer she strikes the moment that one of the mages runs past her, the head of her hammer slamming into his face, turning his head into a mist spray from the impact. Kara blinked and looked at what was left of the elf, she had been hitting Charlie harder than that for years and she grins, she had known her friend had a hard head but this would certainly be easier than trying to murder Charlie.

"Your majesty!" A guard yells jumping to protect Cersei as Kara swings her war hammer again, this time catching another elf in the chest, which slams into him knocking him to the side.

"One chance to tell me where her body is, it won't stop the Agron Kingdom from razing this forest to the ground, but it will give her widow some peace of mind." Kara says as she swings her hammer again, once again turning another elf into a mist of blood, bone and brain matter.

Cersei scowled, it was an out and if she moved now it was possible to escape so she could rebuild, "Past these doors and to your left."

Kara narrowed her eyes, that had been far too easy. "You know, I should kill you here, but I won't because the Agron kingdom is never going to stop hunting you. How do I know this? Queen Judith is a dragon and her children are her greatest treasure, you stole one of them. The fact that she hasn't gone on a rampage yet is because she believed her daughter was alive and would free herself and murder every last one of you. I'm letting you go because honestly it's going to be so much more amusing watching you scurry around like rats while being hunted." Kara smirked at the thought, Queen Cersei in rags, eating nothing more than moldy food. Her death would be slow and painful, the end of a dictator. Still she needs to move on, she needed to find Charlie's body. She rushes through the building swinging her hammer when she needed to and clearing the area, until she gets to the door and takes a deep breath, before opening the door, and stares at the massive structural damage to the entire area. It was clear that Charlie's dragon had ripped through the wooden structure and made its escape. She steps over a body that had it's head ripped off and approaches her former friend.

Kara was no stranger to dead bodies, her own father had died. And she takes the moment to be silent for a moment, saying a prayer to the ancestors for her friend. "You know, I was going to insist on you naming your child after me, for coming to rescue you. Captured by knife-ears, I'm not even sure I can name my own kid after you, I mean your death is kind of an embarrassment." Kara mumbled unsure of what to say or how to give a Eulogy she had expected to find Charlie alive, not whatever this is. She looks up to see a pair of dull green eyes staring at her almost unimpressed.

"I can't name my child rock-fucker, that would be impromper," Charlie managed to croak out, her lips twitching in amusement as Kara jumps and nearly throws her warhammer at her.
