It's been fourteen years since I had been reborn into this world, and it had been eleven years since I found out a vital piece of information. Seeing coming into this world I believed that I would be able to become strong before the events of the story even began. However, whatever thing had brought me here had decided otherwise. I had worked my ass off since I turned four only to find that, I HAD A FUCKING STAT CAP!
Now you may be thinking, "Hey that doesn't sound too bad" and normally you would be right. However, take into consideration the stat cap was ten in all physical stats and 15 in all nonphysical stats…. You see the issue? Not to mention I was in America, the home country that hosts any and all kinds of bullying imaginable then you'll see that I was, in simple terms, fucked. Especially in my current situation, after nine years ago my quirk had finally awoken.

Fayo Family Residence
I was sitting at home with my family and a few friends, I was having a birthday party celebrating me hitting the cursed age of five. It was cursed for two reasons, one was because I would have to start school. The second reason was because this year I would more than likely be receiving my quirk. If I didn't I'd most likely awaken it in my teens which would mean getting bullied for being "Quirkless' ' which I really didn't need.

As the screen appeared in front of my face I became slightly puzzled. I'd never had a system message due to my birthday. That was something I just hadn't experienced until now. The other reason was because it was solid gold, a confetti like effect appeared on the sides, symbolizing a party or celebration.
By the time I had finally read and gotten over the message I was bombarded with two more messages from the system. Reading the first message a sinking feeling manifested itself in the depths of my stomach.

Reading these I most certainly did not beam. Don't believe me, just ask anyone present on that day. They'll tell you the same thing. Anyways, as I dismissed this screen after deciding to check on the skill and debuff later a strange thing began to happen.
My body began to grow warmer and, slowly but surely, the warmth became unbearable. Then suddenly it felt like I had been dropped in a deep fryer. I let out a pained cry, screaming loud enough to be heard from three houses down. I cried so loud in fact that my pain could almost be felt by everyone present. My parents rushed to my side and noticed that small glints could be seen pushing up through my skin, blood falling from those spots.
My father had screamed for my uncle to go grab a towel from the other room as my mother began to dig a sharp claw into my hand, dragging my mind to this new pain. My mind began to focus on this new pain which allowed me to endure the old pain just a bit better.
PoV Father
It was the day of my son's birthday, a special day for both me and my wife. It was the day we got to meet our son's few friends. Alex was a boy who didn't usually get along well with others so the fact he had friends, no matter how few excited us. Could you really blame us?
That being said we were beginning to eat cake, the party had been a fun one. It had been a pool party, everyone had had a good time. Though we eventually had to head back to our apartment with everyone due to the pool reservation at the public pool having ended.
We'd had burgers, pizza, and freshly grilled franks leaving most everyone pleased with dinner. Yet something felt wrong, like the entire family was getting ready to come across something we weren't quite ready for. However I couldn't quite put my finger on it, so I had decided to ignore it. THere wasn't any reason to ruin the day if the day could forgo being ruined.
At least that's what I had thought before we were suddenly met with a loud scream, searching for the origin my eyes fell upon my own son.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The blood curdling scream rang through the entire house, it was near deafening. It was a noise that a child shouldn't be capable of producing. For half a second, the scream deepened, becoming something that sounded almost like a grown man. A brief crackle of lightning could be seen as everyone scurried.
"Brother!" I shouted over my son's screams, "Get a towel! NOW!"
As I saw my brother run off to grab a towel I rushed to my son's aid. Standing by his side my wife came too, hurried as she grabbed my son's hand and gently eased one of her clawed fingers into the palm of his hand before digging it in, almost drawing blood.
The screaming slowly died down as my son began to breathe again in a normal manner, no longer in hurried shallow breaths. His face glinted as what seemed to be scales pushed out. My brother returned with a towel which I had quickly snatched from him and used to clean the blood from my son.

As Alex sat there, his life half beaten out he was hit with a notification which brought a fierce smile to his face, "Yes! HAHAHA!!!!"
The boys who had been wailing on him took a step back in fear at this insane display of attitude flipping.
"YES YES YES!!! FINALLY!!!" The boy scrambled back to his feet once more as the others rushed him. He lashed out with his claws, at them as two screens showed themselves.

[For surviving until ten months before canon starts the stat cap has now been removed! Now Let's see you beat those pains down!]

With a quick diagonal swipe at the closest goon, claws ripping from their clothes and digging into the skin. A few faint lines of blood would make themselves known on the boy, who exhaled a cold breath at the same moment, causing the air to drop rapidly in temperature.

After getting the stat cap removed Alex knew what would need to be done to beat down the current opposition. Thus he put my 15 points into strength, instantly there was a noticeable bulge in muscle mass as he threw a straight jab at the boy in front of him, who had a strength enhancing quirk. Sending him flying into the wall a few feet away and into unconsciousness.
'One down, two to go' He thought as he turned his attention to the other two boys as the one with the Frost Breath ran off and the last one charged forward. The one charging towards Alex doubled in size and tried to crash into him, only just barely getting stopped as the both struggled to push the other away and get the advantage.
Feeling himself getting tired he kicked the boys leg, knocking him off balance and causing him to fall. Once he had fallen Alex jumped onto him, and with a double ax handle he knocked the boy unconscious.

Deciding to check the last few rewards once he got home, he promptly ran for his home. Trying to get away from the area as quickly as possible as to not succumb to the [Sleepy Time] debuff.
Sitting in his room, Alex brought up the box for his new title and brought from his inventory the stat refund. The stat refund was a giant sphere, it seemed hollow and it was roughly the size of a soft ball. Upon it appearing in his hand, Alex saw a screen pop up.
[Would you like to refund all stat points spent in the last day?]

Hitting yes caused Alex to begin to grow light headed as a feeling of fatigue settled on him, though it was soon washed away due to his level up giving him a [Status Recovery]. Pulling up the title screen he'd been given a grin began to creep onto his face.
