Thank you for the reviews and likes and follows it makes my day when I see them in my inbox. It has really lifted my spirits in the last few weeks. I have the next few chapters written and ready to post. I am going to try to space them out a bit while I try to carve out some time to get the next chapters written. I am going to give a heads up that while I am going to try to make the time I am having some family issues right now. My Aunt was diagnosed last week with cervical and colon cancer.
They removed a large mass this last Wednesday and in a few weeks, she will meet with the next oncologist to discuss treatment. She lives and an hour from our family and we have all been taking turns visiting and doing what we can to help her and her husband. But I AM going to keep writing while on the road and in-between visits. So hopefully there won't be any huge gaps between chapters.

To Jeez: The original story I wrote ten years ago and to be completely honest. I had way too many directions I was trying to go in and really had no idea how to get it from point a to point b. So I ditched it and started over. I have the entire story outlined now and just have to keep writing the chapters lol.

Previously in Northwestern Disaster

"Guys it is my mom," Eric called from the kitchen

The entire group crowded by the phone as they listened to Kitty.

"She is doing good the doctor wants to wait till Saturday because of the pregnancy but after that, she agreed to stay here for a few weeks," Kitty said

"PREGNANCY?" Eric shouted, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE IS PREGNANT!"

"Oh calm down Eric,"

"Where are you going?" He said wrapping his arms around her

"Back home" She glared shoving his arms away

"What do you mean back home this is our home?" Hyde asked

"We aren't really married Steven I am married to a guy named Carl we never divorced mine and your wedding was a sham I just wanted some excitement," She said as a car pulled over and she climbed in.

"Well, I don't want you to go" Hyde watched in shock as she turned to him and nodded. Hyde couldn't help but curse himself for asking her to stay when he wanted her gone.

And Now

Jackie smiled as Kitty chattered away about what had been going on since she left. Ben held her hand gently rubbing circles with his thumb. Red had left a bit ago to get some food for everyone.

"So have you talked to anyone since you left Jackie?" Kitty asked. Jackie and Ben shared a look before Jackie answered.

"Brooke and I talk a bit. I am Betsy's godmother and I feel bad I am not around. So we have weekly phone calls. Michael calls once and a while to. None of the others have been given my contact information. After what Donna did I didn't want anything to do with them"

"Oh dear," Kitty said sadly

"Eric sends letters once in a while too" Ben smiled softly. "He talks about you two a lot letting her know how everything is going."

"And I ran into Laurie a few weeks ago," Jackie smiled, "She is planning to come again in a few months and I offered her the spare room when she does"

"How was she?" Kitty asked nervously

"She is doing good," Jackie assured her, "She is starting the spring semester at the local college doing generals. I think you would be very proud of her"

"Good," Kitty said,

"So Ben what do you do for a living?" Red asked

"My family owns a restaurant. I work as a cook there and I bartend at Mickey's on the weekends. That's how I met Jackie. The bar is across the street from her apartment."

"Yep he rescued me a few days after I got here," Jackie smirked, "I had gone out to grab some groceries and these jerks were outside the apartment. They started harassing me and Ben here noticed and came flying across the street to help. He forced them on their way and helped me carry my groceries in."

"I stopped by the next day and heard her crying," ben blushed, "So I turned around and went to the flower shop down the street and bought a thing of purple flowers. I then went back and knocked on her door with the flowers and asked her out,"

"I am not sure who was more shocked by it me or him," Jackie laughed, "I stood there in shocked for like five minutes trying to process what he had said,"

"Felt like hours," Ben laughed, "then this little minx says to me 'I don't even know your name why would I go on a date with you' I rolled my eyes and said Ben my name is Ben so just say yes,"

"Then she burst out crying and sobbing trying to say something...I still don't know half of what she said...then when she finally calms down she says, 'I can't go on a date with you I'm pregnant'"

"Then his smartass says 'me too'. He looked so embarrassed that I burst out laughing before introducing myself and asking how it happened"

"Eventually she agreed to the date and well I can't imagine life without her," Ben smiled softly as he held Jackie's hand.

"That's so sweet! Isn't that the sweetest story you've ever heard Red?"

"So Ben you have a kid?" Red said ignoring Kitty's gushing

"Yes, sir I have a daughter that's 5 weeks old. And when my sister and brother-in-law passed I adopted their two boys they are 5 and 8 right now."

"So what about the child's mother?"

"Molly's mom killed herself 8 hours after she was born," Ben said sharing a look with Jackie "Annie is Andi's mom she has custody until we can get the house finished,"

"How is she taking your relationship with Jackie"

"She loves Jackie and is very happy that Jackie and I found each other." Ben smiled, "Andi and I were high school sweethearts but she was never interested in a permanent relationship. Even after she got pregnant she made it very clear that she was leaving me the baby and taking off"

"So if you were expecting to get the baby why wasn't the house ready then?" Red asked

"it was supposed to be ready months ago but my dad was in a car accident and I was so busy taking care of him and the kids that there wasn't time to finish the house. Jackie has been a savior with all of it t. She takes the kids during the evenings so I can get the house done."

"So if you live here why is the custody case in Dallas?"

"Andi's aunt Phyllis is fighting for custody and since she was visiting her when she went into labor. Molly was born there. It's been a mess. Phyllis is causing one issue after another. It hasn't helped that Andi and I didn't have a written agreement only a verbal one and her aunt is using that as a reason for denying me custody and filing herself."

"Oh, my" Kitty sighed, "Is that the only argument she has?"

"Yes," Ben said, " and the judge has already agreed that once the house is finished they will have no reason to deny custody."

"Have the two of you thought of temporarily relocating to point place and using the Burkhart house?" Kitty asked

"We have talked about it," Ben said, "but Jackie has the scholarship and if she switched schools she wouldn't have that and we can't afford it. We are working on another solution but for now, we are where we need to be."

"Ben," Jackie grinned squeezing his hand, "it is all going to work out. Just be patient."

"Okay kitten,"

"Kitty lets let the lovebirds get some rest and head to the hotel. You can call and check on the kids" Red said

"but Red"

"It's okay Mrs. Forman you two head out. I am gonna get some sleep and Ben is gonna go home and get some rest." Jackie said, "isn't that right Ben?"

"Yes dear," he smirked kissing her cheek and grabbing the notepad from the bedside table. "are you sure this is everything you need for the trip to Point Place?"

"Yes now go get some sleep," Jackie said shooing everyone out of the room.
