Thank you everyone for the positive feedback on this story. IN my last authors not I threw a lot at you. so a quick update...I am really really really sorry I didn't get this chapter posted until now. things have been a little unsteady this month. We got my aunt's diagnosis the day after my note. Stage 4 colon cancer..which the doctors have started chemo this week. they are very positive that she will be in remission within the next year if not the next few months. So got that good news. We managed to hire two new employees at work so things there are slightly better we still have 4 open positions but it has been a bit more manageable. I was finally able to connect with my therapist and was able to attend our group meeting this week..I am not sure how I feel about zoom meetings for this but I am just relieved and feeling more balanced and less alone so I guess it doesn't matter. As for my computer untimely death...well there is nothing I can do about it. A family member has borrowed me their's until I can figure out how to pay for a new one. That all being said I finally finished the chapter :) I am sorry it is short but I wanted to get it posted as soon as possible. I am going to start chapter 6 tomorrow morning.

Previously in Northwestern Disaster

"Miss Burkhart I am very sorry about the incident this morning. We terminated the nurse and had police come and collect her until you decide if you want to press charges," Dr. Lino said, "I assure you nothing like this has happened before and it will hopefully never happen again."

Incident?" Red asked

"One of the nurses got aggressive and pushy earlier Ben had to force her back," Jackie explained

"Oh my that's horrible," Kitty said.

And Now

"It's okay Doctor. well not okay but I assume that the hospital will deal with it. " Jackie said.

"Yes," Dr. Lino said, "it will be taken care of"

"Good, will the hospital be pressing charges or just terminating her?"

"We don't have the authority to press charges"

"I see," Jackie said glancing at Ben, "who will I need to speak to about pressing charges?"

"I will ask the police department to send someone over for a statement"

"Thank you," Jackie smiled, " I am sorry about the inconvenience this incident has caused"

"Miss Burkhart to be honest and blunt I am proud of your strength and I admire the sense of justice you carry. This isn't the first incident that she has caused but thanks to you it may be the last"

"Thank you, sir," Jackie said.

"Alright everything is looking good Miss Burkhart you should be able to leave tomorrow and as long as you follow the care instructions after you leave we shouldn't have to see each other until the little one is ready to make an appearance."

"Thank you," Jackie said

The group watched the doctor leave. Kitty was trying to decide whether she wanted to ask about what happened or not.

"Alright, kitten Dr. Abbey should be here in about an hour or so. I can see Mrs. Forman dying to ask what happened. Why don't you fill her in while I grab a quick coffee,"

"Okay" Jackie smiled, "just don't be late"

"Never"

Jackie watched as he left before turning to the Formans. "I was attacked by one of the nurses this morning. I was asleep when I was startled awake by the blankets being pulled off. Then the nurse then tried to pull me off the bed. I fought back not understanding what was going on. she grabbed my arm and told me I needed a bath. I refused and she tried to force me. Ben intervened at that point."

"That's awful I am so sorry Jackie,"

'It is not your fault and besides, it is dealt with" Jackie said, "now did you call Eric and the others yet?"

"I did. Donna, Fez, and Micheal have agreed to stay away till Monday. Steven was quite upset but has agreed to stay away until Monday. He did ask..well demand to talk to you in private as soon as you are up to it."

Jackie was saved from answering by as knock at the door. Dr. Abbey poked her head in. "Hey, Jackie how are you today...Oh sorry I didn't realize you had visitors"

"Come in Abbey this is Kitty Foreman"

"It's great you meet you Mrs. Forman. Jackie has spoken of you often,"

"Oh it's nice to meet you too," Kitty said

"Mrs. Forman this is Dr. Abbey Shawn, my therapist."

"Oh, well if you want me to I would love to stay"

"Ben should be here soon and then we can talk if that is alright with you," Jackie said, "Mrs. Forman if you want to stay you are welcome to but don't feel like you have to,"
