The Majestic Rise of the Rocks Pirates

Chapter 2

"Flashback!"

"The day Totto Land was invaded! Clash of Wills! Rocks D. Naruto vs. Gol D. Roger and Silvers Rayleigh!"

Still in the skies above the clouds, Naruto flew at supersonic speeds in his classic stance with his arms crossed at his chest and looked down every now and then when he spotted ships of sailors, pirates and more. 'Others more' because there was everything in these seas. You couldn't be less aware, otherwise the dagger of a knife being thrust into your throat from behind would be the least of your worries.

The New World was always in constant turmoil. He knew this better than anyone since he stole his first ship for the first time at the ripe old age of a child who was just 4 years old and without any support. Not that he wanted, asked, or needed in the first place.

This was not a sea where simple pranksters and 2nd class adventurers had their fill and then returned home smiling with a feast in their hands that were filled with the life blood, they had to reap just to get the small achievement of the day. After all, it was simple to reason what small men, small dreams meant. Weak ambitions and non-existent dreams.

Even simple pirates without ambitions worthy enough to go on and face the real challenges that surrounded this second half of the Grand Line would eventually be devoured.

Get found by sailors from the lowest to the highest level who were almost always on the lookout day and night even those dogs of government agents. There are also the Tenryūbito (Celestial Dragons) themselves, who are nothing more than mere dogs with big collars commanding their obedient minions under the world government or those pitiful slaves.

And if that wasn't enough, there were other rival pirates on the seas with a willingness to hunt anyone, that is, not to mention the sea beasts that are considered the kings of the seas capable of snapping up small to medium-sized ships with a just invested. Something that should be a worrying factor for the weakest.

At the end of it all there was him. And the ambition to decimate anyone who wanted to stand between his dream, his will, his wife, his children, and his family.

Nobody was spared. This was a story that he, as a father, would not hide from his children, but it would be up to him to reveal the true face of the world to his offspring. There would certainly be exceptions, but a man is what he achieves to be, not what he imagines he can be. Imagination is an exclusive factor kept for baby children and eternal primary youth.

He has the property to speak freely because he was once one, otherwise he would take it into his own hands, or his name wouldn't be Rocks D. Naruto.

"Hmm." - Naruto pondered audibly, staring at the sea water and then turned his eyes forward, already being able to see the islands that made up the entire scheme created by his wife, maintained by her ideas, and supported by both wills. He was far away physically, but his super vision helped him see land masses clearly.

There in the distance was the house where his family would grow up. The place where your children would have everything from every kind of candy by your wife's choice, parental love, affection, order and discipline, reprimands, and knowledge, and most importantly, training.

Endless training to be at the top of the food chain because the alternative was to be a 'Rocks', 'D' and 'Charlotte', which certainly implies being strong to be above the strong. That was the path he and his wife were creating for their children. A single way.

The archipelago of islands was a hard set not to be impressed with, but a quick thought crossed Naruto's mind, who narrowed his eyes remembering his pirate base.

"With that in mind, I need to find some time to get back to the Island Hachinosu (Pirate Island) immediately and clear things up with the crew. I decided to give each of them some time to think about where they stuck their heads and what the hell they want to tell me, I won't be attending to anything, but I imagine that 1 year was more than enough." – spoke coldly the one who is now the undisputed Captain of the Rocks Pirates , Rocks D. Naruto, while thinking about his companions that included Edward Newgate, Shiki, John, Silver Axe, Ochoku and, of course, his dear wife, Rocks D. Charlotte Linlin.

"I will make the call shortly and wait a couple of days before we meet again. I hope that mania for grandeur developed in the old man's days has completely dissipated because I will not tolerate inappropriate behavior from anyone who is under my banner. It doesn't matter who it is. And if the problem is Haoshoku, well..." – The Rocks here took a considerable pause, slightly shaking his head almost deprecatingly with a bitter taste in his mouth, thinking about it analytically as his prolific mind prompted him to analyze more deeply, and that's what he did.

The reason for overgrown egos, mania for grandeur and the will to incessant rebellion.

The truth is that from times past, men and women had always been prized for having a strong will in their spirits, and he knew it. The problem arises when this above normal will begins to whisper dreams and ambitions into the soul day after day. And as soon as the being impressed with the fantasies provoked by the power of the mind begins to dream. Dreaming big.

Not that being ambitious was a bad thing. Quite the opposite. He needed highly ambitious people in his crew, or they would be useless for his dream, his purpose, his ambition, for alternatively it was better for them to work in the fields or lead a life reduced to mere fishermen, but this one important factor, which is strength of will alone was what truly stimulated greed in men's dreams and the strong pillar which supported all ambitions. Willpower.

Sadly, not everyone has been as attached to knowledge as he has been for as long as he can remember. His first steps towards knowledge began a long, long time ago and the fruits reaped allowed him to awaken a dormant power that everyone in the world had within their spirits after the ordeal to some extent.

Although he is indifferent most of the time, he has seen with his own black eyes the effects of the uneven ambitions and wills of the weak who tried to awaken this power madly and ended up dying drastically, as the reward came in the form of broken spirits in half.

And to think that he, Rocks D. Naruto, awakened Haoshoku days after his birth, then you could partially understand why he remained unaltered and unshakable in the face of his very conception of subduing other wills, however many they may be.

Also, he never felt fear. This kind of feeling that inhibited the power to do what they wanted was reserved for those who weren't willing to conquer it all. He was not afraid when he had to look a lion in the eye and rip out its innards with his own small hands at the age of 2. And the only fear, the only fear that he, as a man, kept in his heart was that of failing as a father and husband, but even this fear that should have been crippling served as fuel for his Haki to reach new tones and he transform into the man he is today.

So, if some of your crew members feel bold enough to demand the opposite of your orders, even if they are supported by their own will, ambitions, and Haoshoku himself. Well...

"I myself will go after their heads one by one, whether in the sky, land or sea." - Naruto finished the promise in a grave and silent tone, ending his thoughts.

THUNDER!

BOOM!

His words were proclaimed with such conviction and unshakable will that massive slits of lightning like black thunder with purple accents exploded from his person, dissipating with a deafening roar all the innocent clouds that lay around him, the natural representation of his potent Conqueror's Haki being clear.

At this time of day, the sun was already starting to set, so a Naruto completely unaffected by what he had just caused in the atmosphere, decided to continue flying on his way home even with the dead birds falling around him down to the sea, but he assumed a new posture where he now flew with his body facing upwards and his hands clasped like a pillow serving as support behind his head. Every now and then he opened his mouth to let out an involuntary yawn.

"Hmm. I'm getting close. I think I'll take a break." - commented the man carelessly staring at the moon that hastily taking the place of the sun. Seeing that brought back some unpleasant memories as his night-black eyes narrowed slightly.

In a figure, Naruto took his right hand to the right side of his waist and groped for something, but whatever he was looking for, he didn't find it.

The last Rocks then let out a heavy sigh. - 'Oh. Whatever.' - he thought. His eyes closed as he was suddenly engulfed in memories.

Sigh.

Flashback – Some time ago

New World – In Totto Land

CLINK!

The sound of the clink of chains was the first agent causing the disturbance that disturbed the small adventure, theft or robbery of the pirate crew that had invaded the land where Rocks D. Charlotte Linlin reigned alongside her husband, Rocks D. Naruto.

CLANG!

Unfortunately for the invaders, not only was the sound loud, but it was close enough to wake them all that at that moment they were no longer alone.

They had a company. And if someone were to ask the man who was the right-hand man of this daring crew what he was feeling right now, he would tell you that the presence on the way was strong. Very strong.

DONG!

"Get ready, all of you." – the man warned his crewmates and then reached for the hilt of the sword on his hip. – "I told you, Roger. I warned." - added finally in a low voice the blond man with glasses who was the first mate, complaining briefly to his captain, although the words were uttered without any real intention of accusation.

"Wahahahaha! All right, Rayleigh! No problem, I already imagined this man would be here." – the man who is the captain of this crew replied, laughing freely. This man was Gol D. Roger, also known by his epithet 'The Great Pirate'.

A sigh came from the man beside them.

"It could only be you, Captain Roger." - grumbled the tall man with sunglasses carrying two axes in his hands and was on the left side of the man who seemed to have a fierce smile permanently plastered on his face.

Seeing this, the man who called himself Gaban shared a long look with Rayleigh and they both could only sigh at the antics of their straw hat-wearing captain. Someday it would come back to bite them in the ass, they were sure and knew that day was coming.

CLINK!

"You have guts, I'll admit. Not even the most well-meaning insect would dare to do so. And all this for a Road Poneglyph."

Hearing that voice, Roger was the first to quickly turn his body to face the new arrival, and immediately widened his smile, taking his hand to the sword hilt on his hip, being accompanied by his companions, Rayleigh and Gaban, when they felt the characteristic wave of strong, dense, but controlled Haki spread all over the place.

It was him. The pirate captain who had a straw hat thought in the back of his mind why he could feel that strong itch from a bright spot of Haki in his senses. Surely it could only be him.

Staring back into the darkness with more intensity, Roger peered into the dark shadows trying to get a mere glimpse. His attempts were thwarted because there didn't seem to be anything, but that didn't seem to shake the man who was the rival of many pirates and sailors on the seas of this age.

"I ask you just out of a slight itch in your conscience, but imagine the following hypothesis while you are aware of your actions: What would you, Gol D. Roger, as a man and owner of your lands, pirate, father and devoted husband, what would you do against one or more invaders who saw fit to disrupt the well-deserved rest of their queen, his children, and his people?" – questioned threateningly the disembodied voice of what seemed to be a man, while his short steps, but full of intention resounded through the place.

"I would let them go if they didn't hurt anyone. I do not see any problems." – replied to the pirate captain without blinking with fierce eyes in the direction where he could feel the figure moving slowly out of the shadows.

CLINK! CLANK!

The sound of footsteps seemed to grow louder as the seconds passed, and the strongest members of the crew which included the straw hat captain Gol D. Roger, his first mate who went by the name of Silvers Rayleigh, a man who is also one of his officers called Gaban, and the other veteran crew members just closed their eyes trying to penetrate the darkness, although it was possible to hear his 'voice' by the Haki of Observation, not everyone was able to feel. The rest of the crew, which consisted of the rookies, gulped, and prepared for the fight that was likely to ensue.

CLANK!

A few steps later, the presence in the dark came out completely into the light and revealed the man, Rocks D. Naruto. He was ripped with hair tousled as usual but dressed in a simple button-down dress shirt with the top three unbuttoned granting viewers a wide view of his muscular, well-trained chest, and at the bottom he wore matching polished white pants. His feet were bare and finishing the set were both the shiny hilt and the perfectly sheathed blade scabbard on the left hip and on the other side was a small black sake gourd with a red decorative ribbon, both being securely held inside the obi black with floral details tied around his waist.

Not only that, but he was also handcuffed by kairoseki (seastone) that were made of stones capable of depriving a Devil Fruit user of using the power of its fruit. There were five handcuffs in total. Four of the handcuffs were distributed between his wrists and ankles, ending with one gripping his thick neck tightly.

Other than that, he also had kisses and bite marks spread all over his body revealing what was the last activity of his day.

Naruto shook his head at the response he received, needing to hold back a disappointed sigh.

"Even not being a father and husband, you were still able to answer me. Inadmissible." – Naruto stated with a gravelly voice at the end and calmly met the eyes of the men in front of him as if he was counting the days.

All the pirates were at their posts ready at the tip of that gaze to face the one man who was sure to make things harder in front of them if he had to.

Roger was raising his idle hand to hold the straw hat on his head a little more, when he noticed something and tried to raise his hands to stop it, but a hand was placed on his shoulder, and he turned his head to face whoever it had been. He saw Rayleigh shake his head as if to say 'no' and point at the man in handcuffs who looked ready to make a move, and it would be a pitiful lie to say otherwise because no one was prepared enough for what would suddenly happen, not even Roger.

The sound of the Sōzō (Creation) sword slowly starting to be unsheathed was enough to shake the spirits of Roger's crew, as one by one they began to fall to the ground unconscious with eyes rolling and mouths foaming.

CRACK!

The surrounding atmosphere itself seemed to want to give in to this will, for the effects were crudely visible through the cracks appearing in the earth. The only ones standing were Roger, who bore it better than the others with the only sign of his effort being the fine line of sweat that insisted on falling from his forehead, but he had a giant smile on his face from the thrill of a good battle, and Rayleigh along with Gaban who could barely stand on their own two feet but were still strong.

Naruto stared at all of this seriously for a second or so and then just smiled.

Seeing this and feeling intent that something would happen in the possible future, Roger's eyes glowed a bright red as he countered the powerful wave of Conqueror's Haki with his own, being joined in a heartbeat later by the Conqueror's Haki of his first companion, Rayleigh, who at this point, though bent over, kept a step behind his captain and stared seriously behind his glasses at the formidable opponent they faced.

Only there was one small problem.

'What was this?' - Rayleigh thought deeply, trying, and failing to understand for himself what had just happened.

"Captain." – He called with a serious voice the man who was known by the nickname of 'Mei-Ō' or rather, 'Dark King', Rayleigh. – "Are you seeing the same as I do? Just to be sure." - Asked the blond-haired man to his captain who was strangely quiet by his side.

"I know. I don't know why, but those handcuffs he has around his neck, wrists, and ankles look like they're made of kairoseki (seastone), right, Rayleigh!" - Roger replied casually to his right arm, an act that made Rayleigh look a little more serious, but still exasperated by his captain's actions.

"Yea. This too. One less problem, but that's not what I'm talking about, captain." - Rayleigh whispered in a low voice pointing in one direction. And it was at this point that the expression on Roger's face changed again.

"Yea. The sword. I can feel a little." – Roger said using the sense of his Haki of Observation to try to 'feel' better what was really happening.

This was certainly not normal. All he could see was that aura of terrifying sensation covering the entire blade, but one thing he knew. that black bladewas the true and only culprit behind that surge of potent Haoshoku Haki. And not the man in front of him, a man he knew was capable of so much more.

And it was the reason that the expressions of the captain, Gol D. Roger and his first mate, Silvers Rayleigh, became a little more hardened by the coming confrontation.

Naruto coldly stared at the reaction of Roger and Rayleigh, who were still standing in the same position, and were now staring at what he knew were the handcuffs chained to his body, something he clearly decided to ignore because he wasn't interested in trifles.

"So, you have noticed that Sōzō (Creation) is thirsty?" - Asked coldly in a low and serious voice the man with black hair as night, while he could feel the katana pulsing almost anxiously in his hands. – "I didn't expect less." - Naruto added, finally finishing unsheathing the entire black blade from its sheath that shone in the moonlight when its splendor came into view of the only two awake spectators.

THUNDER!

Immediately after being discovered, large black and red lightning bolts with a pulsing purple line erupted from the sword in his hands. Naruto's smile grew dangerously as he turned his eyes to the two men in front of him who had already drawn their weapons, the saber and sword respectively, with the former returning to having the characteristic giant smile on his face even with his entire crew lying at his feet, except for his first mate, who wielded his own blade and began infusing the application of advanced Busoshoku Haki in the orange-red color that Naruto had instantly judged.

"Calm down, Rayleigh. Don't fight. I don't want you to get tired." – Roger ordered, looking at his right arm with serious eyes.

"Which? Where did you get that idea from? I'm not tired, Roger." – said the older blonde exasperated by his captain's actions, then Rayleigh squinted behind his glasses seeing a smile creep across his captain's face. – "Admit it. You just want to fight him alone."

"No, that's not it. You need to rest! I can't have my right arm all dead and tired now, can I?"

"Stop lying with weird words, captain!"

Naruto slightly raised his black eyes that shone menacingly to face the frivolous discussion of the two pirates who dared to invade his lands at the worst possible time of his day, as it was just the moment, he and his wife had left their children ready to sleep in their beds.

Once that was done, they had a second agenda. One last mandatory duty of every day was to debut the couple's new bedding set, as the last one had been shredded to shreds in the last passionate meeting they'd had.

"Wahahahaha! I don't know what you're talking about, Rayleigh, but stay here for now." – Roger didn't even finish talking or waited for his first mate's answer and ran to face the man.

Silvers Rayleigh had just enough time to put a hand to his forehead and begin to retreat to regroup with his still unconscious comrades and wait for the right moment to join the fight, as their impatient captain was already running towards the Rocks who was still standing in the same place without changing his expression and was just staring seriously at the approach of the man.

"Rocks!"

Naruto suddenly did something he would bitterly regret. Perhaps. Possibly. Of course not. He ignored the straw hat pirate's cry and directed his night-black eyes at the black gourd that was tied by a thin red bow on the obi around his hip.

'Glump, glump, glump. Ah!' - In the next moment these were the only sounds that Naruto's throat made as the relief of the strong and hot drink ripped down his throat. The sake was so strong that within a few sips Rocks' cheeks were already starting to flush slightly, yet his imposing posture was still strong. The same could not be said for his thoughts.

"HEY ROCKS!"

He sighed again, ignoring the call-in exchange for good sips of the heat of life. His ears repeatedly heard the scream of the man who was rapidly approaching his position, but his advanced perception of things allowed him to see the progress in slow motion and at the same time continue to taste the drink at a normal pace.

Naruto then shook his head at what he had done almost reflexively. He needed to stop this bullshit immediately before his beloved Lin-chan decided to come up with a new nickname for him just because he couldn't hold back a sigh these days anymore.

While he wasn't denying that it wasn't fun whenever he saw his wife's eyes light up at the prospect of yet another 'insulting cool nickname' as his adorable girls have come to call it, but he knew he had to watch out for certain habits, or it would be your downfall. Perhaps. Oh! Whom he was trying to fool, of course he wouldn't take it.

Changing the subject with another sip of the best sake, perhaps he should actively seek out a pupil even though he already has a few, plus his heirs and many more on the way, but the question was who would be the newest ideal 'monster' to occupy a position so coveted by experts in the seas, even if for a short time. And more, which techniques he should pass. Well, unfortunately he couldn't do anything now.

'It's better (hic)... I think about it later. I am distancing myself from reality.' – thought the Rocks. All this analysis took place in nanoseconds of thoughts for Naruto.

Returning to the advance and seeing that the pirate who was grinning fiercely was now more and more dangerously close to his presence, even if from meters away, the shaggy black-haired Rocks took the opportunity to raise an eyebrow, because now he could see that the saber of the man was being infused with reddish black rays with an aura that jutted out from the blade. It was subtle, but he could see it.

'Oh (hic)! Advanced application. So, he's been serious from the start (hic).' - Those were the thoughts of a sobbing Naruto not at all impressed when he leisurely put away the sake gourd and decided to move one foot forward only to instantly disappear going to meet his opponent head on, it was the least he could do. Such was his speed and control that despite the momentum the ground under which his bare feet had previously been remained unaffected by the movement.

Gol D. Roger didn't even blink when the pupil of his eyes glowed bright red sensing what would happen in the future, so he firmly gripped the hilt of his saber with both hands which was one of the '12 Swords of Supreme Grade', named 'Ace'. He then stomped on the ground with his boots causing the earth to give way as well as some blocks of earth to rise from the ground and increased the advanced level of Armament and Conqueror's Haki infusing through the blade making it shiny black with heavy reddish black rays leaking from its tip ready to face its rival.

CLINK!

And lo and behold, a lucid Rocks D. Naruto, but with flushed cheeks signaling his possibly inebriated state, emerges with intense menacing black eyes facing Roger, holding his long, intricately, and perfectly ornamented katana with a single hand in one motion cutting diagonally ascending from right to left.

His sword, Sōzō, glowed brightly in the purple aura of completely black and reddish rays confirming that it was also being infused with the advanced level of Busoshoku and Haoshoku Haki, which only a few had the honor to achieve in these seas. Lastly, the legendary weapon emitted mighty black thunder like great rifts, as he decided to try something new against an admittedly strong opponent.

"KAMUSARI!" – Roger shouted in a strong voice when he got close enough, but I could tell he was excited because he had a fierce smile on his face, launching his attack towards Naruto who didn't hesitate for a second to counterattack with his own. With a technique he had created himself.

'Hmm (hic). I think that brat would be fine with that technique. We'll see (hic).' – the sobbing and flushed Naruto had one final thought, before narrowing his black eyes adding extra weight to his already firm sway.

"SHIN: RAIMEI... (God: Thunder...)" - Naruto proclaimed starting menacingly as he stomped on the ground causing irreparable extensive cracks in front of Roger with his bare feet in harmony with the sound of chains clanking that did nothing to stop his moves.

CLINK! CRACK! BOOM!

"HAKKE! (Bagua!)" – and then he delivered the blow with a mighty roar, charging at his opponent with devastating force at high speed.

During the movement, the various black thunders being released by the magnificent katana split the ground, distorted reality itself and the winds were cut, as Naruto matched Roger's smile with his own, but his was more serious and dangerous.

CRASH! CRACK!

The skies were cut in half as the two blades collided with the advanced infusion of Haki, their blades not even touching.

BOOM!

Soon after, a second big explosion occurred almost immediately after the first one right in the center of it all with black lightning and thunder being widely released on impact, representing the clash of the two wills, a direct and powerful confrontation of Haoshoku Haki.

End of chapter.

Trivia and revelations from chapter 3:

The day Naruto was born the day was longer with the sun staying longer in the sky.

A few days after Naruto's birth, an intriguing development took place where he ended up awakening his Haoshoku Haki which is Conqueror's Haki. The reason remains unknown.

At age 2, Naruto single-handedly slaughtered a lion. He also beat and ripped out his entrails. It is not known what his motivation was.

In his early 20s, Naruto single-handedly faced Gol D. Roger, Silvers Rayleigh, and their entire crew at that time in combat using his sword, Haki, and just a little bit of sake.

Naruto was chained with kairoseki (seastone) handcuffs because when he felt the disturbance of the 'voices' in his field of observation it was too late and he didn't have enough time to get ready, not even put on boots. And whoever said that was a liar. The truth is, he was letting his wife in control.

It's possible that Naruto has some students, and he likes (hic)... to drink sake from time to time even in the middle of a battle.

Story timeline:

Beginning 38 years ago, the same year as the 'God Valley Incident'.

The story has its real beginning 1 year after these events, and that means Naruto and Linlin are 31 years old now.

Charlotte Linlin and Rocks D. Naruto met when they were still children and had their first child together as a couple at the age of 18. The details of how they met and how they fell in love and then got married and started a family despite being infamous wanted pirates to have yet to be revealed.
