Hey everyone and Happy Holidays! I decided to upload a day early as a gift to everyone reading! Enjoy!

Throughout most of chemistry you were stuck in a fog. You kept slipping in and out of class. Doing your work wasn't as hard since your chemistry teacher decided to do some fun labs for the day, which could be turned in any time for additional credit. Afterall, it was the first day of your sophomore year.

You had time to reflect on the day. You had made up with your old friend Yakko; you had gotten ditched by your rival Delphine for lunch-which she had invited you to; you and Yakko had gone out to lunch and come up with a scheme to get Delphine off his back; you had come back and made friends with Sandra, ignoring all the rumors about her. And now you were learning about crystals.

What a day.

RIIING!

You snap your head up. Everyone had begun packing their things away and getting out of the classroom. You sigh, and join in.

Time to put all the bad things behind you. School was finally over. Time to head home.

You put on a smile.

After all, you were going with Yakko this time. He had promised to drive you home today. It would just be you and him.

You walk out of the classroom and head for the stairs. Walking as quickly as you could, you went on your way to leave the school. By the time you got to the lobby, the place was packed with students. You maneuvered your way through the crowds and made it to the doors.

Just as you did, you hear your name being called by two familiar voices. You cast your gaze around and spot Wakko and Dot near one of the benches. They were waving and jumping to get your attention. You sprint over.

"Guys!" You exclaim, excited. You slow to a stop before them. "What are you both doing here?"

"We heard the good news." Wakko grins.

"Good news?" You question.

"Oh, don't be coy with us!" Dot says, punching you in the arm. "You and Yakko made up!"

"How did you know that?" You ask.

Wakko pulls up his phone. "Yakko texted me back. He told me the whole thing."

"I'm so happy!" Dot says, squeezing you into a hug. "It's so good to have the whole group back together again!"

"Yeah." You say, beaming. "It really is."

"Well then, what are we waiting for?" Wakko says with a smile. "Let's head to the car."

"You guys aren't taking the bus?" You ask as you free yourself from Dot.

"Heck no." Wakko says as he looks at you. "We're stealing a ride from Yakko this time."

"Yep!" Dot laughs. "If he gets to take you on joy rides, then he has time to take his precious siblings on one too."

You giggle. "Of course."

"YOU!"

You freeze and so do the Warner siblings. On cue, you all turn around to the source of the voice. You swallow hard. Delphine was marching through the crowds, pushing anyone who got in her way and had mascara streaming down her face from crying. The furious scowl on her face was the most vile thing you had seen all day.

"Uh oh." You can hear Wakko gulp.

You back up as Delphine gets in your face. "YOU LITTLE BITCH!"

Her shrieking attracts the attention of students exiting the school and forms a small crowd near you and Delphine. You could feel your heart ramming against your ribcage. You were in shock and terrified of what she might do. And you had a good idea why she was in your face screaming.

"You took Yakko away from me!" Delphine screams. "You fucking bitch!"

You feel a tug on your arm.

"What is she talking about?" You hear Dot whisper.

"I-"

Delphine suddenly shoves you back, hard. "WRETCH!"

You yelp as you fall right onto your butt, landing on the hard concrete below you. You can hear Wakko and Dot gasp. The students in the crowd were all watching now. You get back up, but feel your arm being grabbed and you're harshly pulled up.

"I oughta kill you!" Delphine screams into your ears, holding you up by your arm. Her manicured nails pinch into your flesh.

"Let her go!"

Delphine was shoved back and you find Wakko had separated the two of you. He looks at you.

"Are you okay?" Wakko asks, concerned.

You nod, a bit shaken, but otherwise okay. Then you and Wakko hear an agonizing scream. Delphine had stalked up to a steady position and was glaring daggers at you.

"BITCH!" Delphine screams and raises a fist, throwing it forward.

A hand catches her fist before it can even land a punch on you.

"Delphine, that's enough!" Yakko yells, throwing Delphine back and away from you and Wakko. He scowls at her. "Stop behaving this way!"

"Yakko, what do you expect?" Delphine yells, fresh tears running down her face. She points one of those ugly manicured fingers at you. "This wretch took you away from me! You're supposed to be with me! Me!"

"Gah!" Yakko says in disgust. "You make me sound like a trophy to be won! Delphine, you and me are over!"

Yakko grabs your hand and pulls you close. You could feel everyone's gaze on you and Yakko. Even Wakko's and Dot's.

"And I'm with someone else now." Yakko says, confidently.

"No!" Delphine screams. "You can't be with that…that…PIG!"

"She's not a pig!" Yakko scowls. "And I am with her."

Delphine looked like a balloon about to pop. Swelling with rage and close to exploding. The crowd around her begins whispering and like that Delphine has taken notice of the people around her. Her usually tan face turns an ugly shade of white. She clutches her hands into fists and glares at you. You swallow hard.

"Fine!" Delphine screams. "Have him! Be with him! You'll regret it, you'll see!"

Delphine sends a sharp glare to Yakko. Then she begins storming off. "Enjoy your slut, Warner!"

You watch her storm back towards the school, as does the rest of the crowd. Before you can see her go inside, Yakko grabs your arm and starts rushing you away in the direction of the school parking lot. You're startled at first, but Yakko pulls you up next to him, his arm around your shoulders as he rushes you away from the crowd.

"Let's not stay with the crowd." Yakko says, looking back in the crowd's direction before walking faster than before.

Taking his advice, you follow, looking back to see Wakko and Dot were hot on your tail. Just as you're out of range of the crowd of students and by the gates of the parking lot, do Wakko and Dot finally speak.

"What the fuck!" Wakko shouts.

"You two are together?" Dot says in shock. "Since when?"

"Where the hell is the key." Yakko says, ignoring them, patting down his clothes until he pulls out a set of keys and unlocks the gates.

"Earth to brother!" Dot scowls. "We are demanding answers!"

"We're not actually-" You stop when both siblings turn their attention to you. "...together."

"We sorta," Yakko says, opening the gates and slipping through. "Made the whole thing up."

"Wait, hold on." Wakko says, holding up his hands, trying to process this. He gives you and Yakko an odd look, looking confused. "You made it up?"

"No one is together?" Dot asks, surprised. She then huffs and crosses her arms. "And there goes my bridesmaid dream."

"What?" Yakko says, looking up from the keys in his hand.

"Oh nothing." Dot quickly says.

"If no one's together." Wakko continues. He gestures behind him. "Then why did you just announce to half the school you two are a thing?"

"For shits and giggles." Yakko says, unlocking the gate and letting everyone through. When Wakko gives him a look, Yakko sighs. "I wasn't trying to, it just happened."

"Did you break up with Delphine again?" Dot bluntly says.

"Dot!" Wakko hisses, glancing at you.

"It's fine." Yakko says, heading over to the car. "She already knows."

"Yeah." You begin. "Yakko sorta explained it to me during lunch."

"Oh," Wakko stares at Yakko. "Wait, you and Delphine broke up again?" He then perks. "And actually succeeded?"

"Depending if your definition of success means half the school witnesses a close cat fight." Dot drawls. She looks at you. "Speaking of, are you okay?"

You look yourself over. Other than some red marks from Delphine's hand, you were pretty okay. You nod at Dot.

"I'm fine." You say.

"Are you sure?" Wakko asks, looking concerned. "Delphine was like a vicious animal back there. I thought she was gonna punch your living daylights out."

"Fat chance!" Dot says, grabbing your hand and lifting it up. "She could've beaten Delphine easily!"

"Thanks for the vote of confidence." You say. You recall Delphine's hand around your own, lifting you up like you were nothing. You swallow.

Dot lets you go. She grins. "Of course. What are gal pals for?"

The roar of a car startles you and you notice Yakko has started his car. Dot notices and grins.

"I call shotgun!" Dot exclaims and runs over to the car.

You giggle and watch her run to the car. That's when you realize Wakko stood next to you. You smile at him.

"Not gonna try and get the shotgun before her?" You tease. You recall the many times those two fought over simple things. Like who could beat who in a race, or who makes it to the seat on the bus first.

Wakko shrugs. "Nah. She can have it."

"Really?" You say, surprised.

"Yeah." Wakko walks with you over to the car. "Shotgun is overrated."

"How come?" You ask.

"Just is." Then Wakko grins. He takes your hand and runs forward. "Besides that means we share the back!"

"Whoa!" You exclaim and rush to keep up.

Wakko slows down once he's at the car door and opens it up. He bows and gestures inside. "For you."

You smile. "Thanks."

You head inside and slide all the way down and Wakko joins you inside. Dot, at the front passenger seat, squeals while clapping her hands together.

"Just like old times!" Dot exclaims. "The whole gang's back together!"

"Can we go out and eat?" Wakko asks, leaning forward to Yakko. "Like old times?"

"Ooh!" Dot squeals. "We can go to the old lemonade stand!"

Yakko taps his chin. "Well…"

Both Wakko and Dot begin pleading and begging Yakko to take you all there. You can't help but grin. The old lemonade stand was this juice shop you and the Warners would go to when you all were younger. You happen to recall one of your earliest memories of the lemonade stand when you were about ten. Your parents and Scratchansniff had come along with you and the Warners for a simple walk of the town and happened to come across the lemonade stand. While your parents and Scratchansniff talked, you and the Warners noticed the man at the lemonade stand handing out lemonades with the cutest umbrellas out of them, coming in rainbow cups.

Amazed by the pretty lemonades, you all begged and whined the adults for lemonades. It took ten minutes of childish whining and begging to get your parents and Scratchansniff to all succumb. You all left that lemonade stand satisfied and happy with the unique cups.

Yakko laughs, bringing you back to the present.

"Alright, alright!" Yakko smiles. "We'll go!"

"Yes!" Wakko and Dot cheer.

"Fasten your seatbelts and we'll get on the road." Yakko says and his siblings jump to do what he says. You follow suit as well. Yakko begins to pull out of the parking lot and onto the road.

Dot turns her head to face you and Wakko. "I'm getting the Fruity Blast Punch. What about you two?"

"The Sour Citrus." Wakko grins. "Imma try and beat my record."

At your look of confusion Wakko clarifies. "Longest poker face. So far my record is 30 seconds."

"I'll just settle for the Raspberry Lemonade." You conclude.

"You gotta try the Sour Citrus!" Wakko says, elbowing you. "It's a doozy!"

"I don't know…"

Wakko's ears fall to the sides of his head and he looks at you with the biggest pleading eyes ever, hands clasped in front of him. You snort.

"I'm not falling for that!"

"Oh come on!"

"No."

Wakko smirks. "I'll bet you can't stand five seconds drinking it."

He pulls out a bill from his pocket. Your eyes go wide seeing the fifty bucks in his hand. Dot gasps.

"This morning you said you were broke!" Dot scowls.

"I never said I was." Wakko says. "I just said I wouldn't pay for your ridiculous shopping trip."

He waves the fifty in front of your face. He was grinning like a maniac. "Fifty bucks to whoever can last the longest. Complete poker faces, not even a flinch."

Your eyes followed the fifty bucks. You recalled the measly five bucks in your school bag. You grin.

"Deal."

"Yes!" Wakko cheers.

"If either of you throw up in the shop, I don't know you." Yakko quirks.

Wakko snickers and you settle yourself in your seat. You watch as the school grows distant on your car ride to the old lemonade stand.

XXXX

You stared at the large Sour Citrus before you. Practically glowing green, the drink was about the size of your forearm and stunk of lemon. Wakko sat across the table from you with his own drink in hand, grinning from ear to ear. In front of both of you was fifty bucks. You poked your drink. It was possible this thing could be radioactive.

"Wow." Yakko said, sitting next to you with his own lemonade. Dot sat across from him with her Fruity Blast Punch. "I forgot how large the drinks were."

"So did I." You gulped.

"Come on!" Wakko said, tapping his drink eagerly. "We'll go on three."

You grabbed your drink.

Wakko pulls up a single finger. "One."

Dot sips her drink. "Don't worry, we have wills ready."

You glare at her.

"Two," Wakko pulls up a second finger, tipping his straw towards him. You do the same.

Yakko looks at the rest of the lemonade stand. "There better be mops ready."

"Three!"

Both you and Wakko attack your drinks. Sipping fast, the taste of lemon, grapefruit, and lime hits the roof of your mouth and travels down your throat in record time. At first you didn't mind it, until an unholy amount of sourness spreads across your taste buds and sparks come flying.

As you struggled to keep a straight face, Wakko casually drank his cup and seemed to have no reaction at all. He even had the audacity to grin at you through the straw, displaying bright green stained teeth at you.

You swallow your next mouthful of the sour drink and this time, try to gulp down a wave of coughing that overcomes you with the next wave of sourness. You bang your fist against the table, making Yakko and Dot jump.

"Someone's starting to flinch." Wakko sing-songs.

"C-course not!" You choke, spreading your tongue across your mouth to catch fallen drink. You take the straw and down three more sips of the drink. At this point you feel shivers running down your back and your mouth feels ready to explode.

Wakko snickers and notices Dot pointing to her watch. He goes back to drinking and you notice he's very slow when he does so.

You decide to go for it. You pull the cap off the damn cup and start chugging. You hear three gasps, one followed by a bit of choking (possibly Wakko), You ignore how messy you were being and how terribly sour the drink was. You wanted that fifty bucks!

The drink was entirely difficult to chug down, you believe you might have started choking halfway through it, but you braved it and kept going.

The second the last of the drink went down your throat, you slam the empty cup down on the table.

"Done!" you said, ignoring the harsh taste in your mouth and how badly you wanted to make faces.

All three Warners were staring at you. Wakko had his mouth dropped and his eye was visibly twitching. From either the drink or what you had done was unclear.

Wakko then undoes his drink's cap and in seconds he downs the whole thing.

"I-It's whoever lasts the longest!" Wakko gasps when he finishes the drink and stares at you with a grin.

You both stare each other in the eye. You could feel the burning of your lips from whatever of the drink was leftover on them, Your throat felt like it had swallowed down sandpaper and your taste buds were on fire. You inhaled.

You can do this.

You can do this.

You can-

"FUCK!" You scream and grab Yakko's lemonade and start downing it, not caring if it lands on your shirt.

"My drink!" Yakko shouts.

"YES!" Wakko shouts, grabbing the money and kissing it.

"I'm sorry Yakko!" You manage to choke out. "I need it more than you do."

You wash down the rest of his lemonade, washing away the sour taste of Sour Citrus. Yakko huffs and Dot is laughing at you. But you didn't care. The sweet taste of lemonade was all you needed right now. You put the cup down and sigh.

"Thanks Yakko." You say, absentmindedly handing him the empty cup.

"Hmph!" Yakko huffs, grabbing the cup. "Good thing there's free refills."

"I win!" Wakko laughs, half choking as he waves the fifty bucks in front of you.

You roll your eyes, wiping your mouth. "Whatever."

Wakko smirks. "Wanna try round two?"

"Oh fuck no." You say. "I'm not going through that torture again."

"Then let me buy you an apology." Wakko grins. He stands up and gestures to you to follow him.

You stand up and follow him to the line. You noticed you and him had a decent wait ahead of you. The lemonade stand always had a ton of customers and today seemed to be one of their busiest days. You and Wakko stood next to each other as you waited in line.

"Gotta say." Wakko starts. He gently punches your arm. "That was quite a move you pulled back there. Chugging a whole Sour Citrus?"

You laugh. "What can I say? I really wanted to win."

"Ah but alas." Wakko kisses the fifty bucks again. "I was the victor."

You shove him. "Oh shut up."

Wakko laughs. You're giggling too. As much as you had wanted those fifty bucks, sadly you could not out match Wakko. And he definitely knew it.

You stop giggling long enough to look at the lemonade stand menu. There were so many choices. "What do you plan on ordering?"

"Another Sour Citrus." Wakko notices your look of shock and he laughs again. "What? Just because it's sour, doesn't mean it doesn't taste good."

"Your funeral." You smirk and look at the menu. "I'll get the one I wanted earlier."

"Raspberry Lemonade?"

"That's the one." You say.

Wakko sniffs the air and then immediately does a goofily smile with his tongue hanging out.

"Is that what I think it is?" He says, going on his tippy toes to check over the heads of the people in front of you both. He then starts hopping like a rabbit.

"What?"

"Cinnamon rolls!" Wakko exclaims.

Right on cue, a worker comes by with cinnamon rolls, fresh from the oven and plants them inside the bakery stand. You feel yourself drooling just a bit. The lemonade stand's cinnamon rolls were some of the best in the city. Freshly baked meant they were gooey with glaze. You could smell them all the way from the front. You and Wakko sigh.

"I want one." You immediately say.

"I want a dozen." Wakko says.

You and Wakko look at each other and then the fifty bucks. You both grin.

"What you you like to order-"

Wakko slams the fifty bucks on the counter before the person at the register can finish. "A dozen cinnamon rolls and two drinks please!"

You giggle at how enthusiastic Wakko was to have done that. He looks at you and smiles. Once you both say your drinks and pay off the worker, you go towards the pick up counter.

"They're so beautiful." Wakko says as he stares into the window, watching a worker place the cinnamon rolls into a box.

"And they smell delicious." You say.

Wakko sniffs the air and sighs. "So delicious."

You lean against the wall as you wait for your order. You watch as Wakko eagerly jumps up and down at the pick up counter, waiting for his cinnamon rolls. You glance around the lemonade stand and spy Yakko and Dot talking. You smile at how comfortable you felt. You were happy.

Then it hit you. You were happy. Actually happy.

It has been a long time since you ever felt this happy.

You watched Yakko from afar, simply just talking and felt your cheeks warm up. It felt great to be around him again, especially at one of your old hangouts. Just like the old days when all four of you came to places like these for fun. Before you and Yakko had made up, you hardly visited these places unless Dot dragged you to them, even then you rarely enjoyed it. It made your heart ache even thinking about it.

But now, everything was like before. You grip your hands together, feeling a tight knot in your stomach. You feel a wave of emotion overwhelm you and swallow. It had been so long since you had happy times like these. You hoped with all your heart there would be more to come.

"Hey, you okay?"

The soft voice brought you out of your thoughts and you looked at Wakko. He had a concerned look on his face.

"Hm?" You say, noticing the box of cinnamon rolls in his hands. Wakko purses his lips and reaches over to your face. You're confused, until his hand comes away wet and realize you had tears on your face.

"You're crying." Wakko says, worried.

"Sorry." You say, wiping at your eyes.

"Are you upset?"

"No, no, not at all." You sniffle, trying to keep yourself from crying more. "Just the opposite actually."

"Happy tears?" Wakko says and you nod. He looks at the cinnamon rolls and then at you. "I knew cinnamon rolls were a thing to celebrate, but I didn't think they were worth happy tears."

You snicker. "I wasn't crying over cinnamon rolls!"

"Then what?"

"Oh just…" You glance at Yakko and then shake your head. "Nothing important."

"You missed him, didn't you?"

You snapped your head up and realized Wakko was smiling at you. Hugging the box with one arm, he then gestures to you to lean in and you do. He whispers into your ear.

"Just between you and me." Wakko whispers. "He missed you too."

You draw back, feeling your cheek redden. "Really?"

Wakko nods. "You were one of his best friends. Of course he missed you."

You glance at Yakko. He was actually looking your way this time. Almost instantly, he smiles and waves a bit. You smile back and look at Wakko.

"I'd try hanging out with him more." Wakko suggests while holding the cinnamon box with both hands. "He needs it."

"Thanks Wakko." You grin and then open up the cinnamon roll box. "Now let's try one of these cinnamon rolls."

Wakko perks up, licking his lips. "Yes, ma'am!"

You take two out and notice Wakko had his mouth open. You giggle and pop one of the cinnamon rolls into his mouth. Wakko quickly snarfs down the cinnamon roll, stuffing it into his cheeks and making them puff out. You bite into yours too.

"Mm!" Wakko hums, licking off all the gooey glaze from his lips. "Delicious!"

You couldn't help but replicate his enthusiasm. The soft bread was absolutely heavy with its cinnamon interior and warmed deliciously to a perfect gooey mess in your hands.

"My goodness." You say, still chewing. "Best cinnamon roll ever!"

The worker at the stand places your drinks down and while you place your cinnamon roll back into the box, you pick the drinks up.

"To the table!" You announce.

Wakko instantly swallows the rest of his cinnamon roll and while you both walk over to the table, he starts chorusing in angelic tones while carrying the cinnamon roll box in the air. Dot and Yakko instantly look over and start laughing as Wakko presents the box to his siblings. You can't help but smile at their happy faces.

This indeed was the best day ever.
