Erina proceeds to go upstairs, opening the door and she sees Soma just standing there, looking at the moonless starry sky.
Erina thought, " What am I doing? Why did I want to see him again? And why is he just standing here alone?", she shakes her head then walks to stand beside him. Soma notices her presence without looking.
Soma: Yo Nakiri, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be downstairs celebrating and all?
Erina: Speak for yourself Yukihira, you're just here alone and not participating in the festivities downstairs without telling anyone why.
Soma: Well, I just wanted to be alone, kind of tired after all that disciple slash first "son" of dad slash your mother issues, well I'm glad it's all over now.
Erina: Even if you're tired, you might as well appreciate the party prepared for-
She was cut off when Soma started speaking.
Soma: And the whole someone wanting to marry you, yeah tired of that too.
Soma said the last statement as quickly as possible, and Erina noticed something when he said that, annoyance? Irritation? Frustration? Or maybe he was jealous? Erina scratched that last part, she guessed he really was tired.
Soma: I mean why would anyone even want to marry you Nakiri
He then continues laughing, Erina got annoyed at that
Erina: And what do you mean by that Yukihira?
Soma: I mean if they really know who you are, nobody in the world would even want to marry you
Erina: Excuse me commoner but marrying me might be the greatest culinary achievement one will achieve, it means he has managed to impress me with his cooking that I want to eat his cooking for the rest of my life.
Soma: And you're very pretty too
Erina: Wh-wh what are you talking about?
Soma: What, I just said you're beautiful?
Erina closes her mouth and looks away from Yukihira
Erina: So exactly what is that makes me not marriage worthy
Soma: I didn't mean it like that, I meant that if they want to marry you, they should really know Nakiri Erina, not just the chef, not the headmistress of Totsuki, but the person, who she is, what she likes, what she hates, what she loves, what she wants to do with her life, he must be strong enough to be someone you can rely on when you face something you are scared of or when you have doubts, that guy should know how to take care of you, and I hope this won't come true but just in case you get stuck in the storm like your mom and my dad were, I hope this guy can save you.
Erina fell silent, everything he said is right, she still fears what the future holds but for some reason, she sees herself able to walk with confidence because of someone she considers her rival? Friend? "Why do I see Yukihira with me when I try to imagine what my future looks like?"

Soma flashes a smile then chuckles, Erina laughs at him
Erina: Dream on Yukihira, I will be the best in the world, and before you call yourself the best, you might want to improve your cooking so that I will at least say delicious, well, if you can.
Soma: Oh is that so Nakiri? Fine then, I will keep pushing myself until I make you say delicious

Soma: Sure sure, but I will find a recipe that will make you say it, I promise you.
Erina: Not by the moon Yukihira

Soma said teasingly

Soma: Well I promise not by the moon, I will keep trying until you say my cooking is delicious, even if it takes years or decades, I promise I will keep going, I promise I will keep being the pest that annoys you until I make you say it
Erina: Okay, I accept your promise and challenge, but let me tell you that you are just wasting your time.
Soma: No I'm not, unless wasting time means being here at the balcony instead of being downstairs for a few hours
Erina looks at her phone to see the time, she wonders how did time move so fast, she hurriedly heads back at the party, grabbing Soma's hand because she wants him to enjoy the party, definitely not because she wants to see his face or anything, definitely not because someone might also have a chat with him and she might get annoyed, she just wants him to enjoy the party, that is all. As she drags him, Soma smiles without her knowing, "I will be the one Erina, for you."
