Day 5 Prompt - shower

"Behind you, Cap!" Clint's voice shouted over the comms. The archer was stationed on the top of an abandoned building a short distance away.

Steve turned around and punched out the HYDRA goon approaching him, then flung his shield, taking out several more enemies. "Where to now, Hawkeye?"

"Widow and Bucky are fighting a sizeable group about two klicks to the north. The flying squadron is taking on some in the other direction about the same distance away, so take your pick." Steve heard Clint muttering something unintelligible after that. "Take that, HYDRA slug. Sorry, Cap, had to dispense some paleolithic justice."

"You've been hangin' around Stark and Banner too much," Bucky remarked as he punched someone, then swiped at someone else with one of his knives.

"Hulk likes Birdie."

"Aw, man, thanks." If anyone had been able to see Clint, they would've noticed a blush crossing his face. "Never knew you cared so much."

A few trees were uprooted near Hulk. "Birdie patient with Hulk. Treats him nice."

"Sounds like someone's got a crush with all the compliments being showered on you, Hawkeye," Natasha huffed as she swung up on someone's shoulders and garroted them.

"Hulk smashes, doesn't crush." This time the trees that went flying carried enemy agents dangling from several limbs.

"Ooh, snap, Big Green!" Tony's repulsors shot at several men trying to escape the compound.

"Shall there be a fight to the death for the hand of young Barton between our large green friend and Sargent Barnes? I would like to request a front-row seat for this most interesting and intriguing match," Thor added as he swung his hammer.

"If we could stop the flirting until after the battle, that'd be great," Sam muttered as he flew over the group.

"Jealous of the attention, Falcon?" Clint asked. Chuckles could be heard as Sam harrumphed over the comms.

After the battle was over and SHIELD agents were rounding up the HYDRA stragglers, Clint sat down next to Bucky as he cleaned his rifle. "Would you really fight for me?"

Bucky put down his rifle, slung his arm around Clint's shoulders, leaned in, and whispered, "You know it, doll."
