Day 7 – Cooking

It was team movie day. It had started as just in the evening, but there were so many movies out there the team decided to make it a full day. Each Avenger took a turn at the theme for the day, and today's was Clint's. He wouldn't tell them the topic, no matter how much people begged. Finally, once everyone was seated and the snacks and drinks were in place, Clint told them. "Today is musical biography day. No, Tony," Clint held up his hand to stop Stark before he started rambling, "that does not mean we're watching Rocky Horror for the fifth time. I said biography, not musicals." Everyone cheered while Tony pouted. "We're starting with one of my favorites, The Buddy Holly Story." The group sat back as Clint had Friday start the movie starring Gary Busey.

At the end of the movie, everyone commented on how much they enjoyed it. "Good choice, Barton," Tony said from the couch, where he was planted between Bruce and Pepper. Thor, Sam, and Steve were spread out in various chairs, leaving Clint, Bucky, and Natasha to make themselves comfortable on the second couch. "Friday? Cue up the next one."

"Sure thing, boss." Sticking with the American music scene, a movie called I Saw the Light started.

Clint, being the goofball he was, started singing along in a twangy voice with the opening credits. This led to those team members familiar with Hank Williams voting on which song was their favorite. They concluded it was 'Hey, Good Lookin', which led to Clint leaning over to Bucky and wiggling his eyebrows while singing the next line. 'What you got cookin'? How's about cookin' something up with me?" Bucky rolled his eyes and ruffled Clint's hair, expecting nothing but a cheesy remark from his boyfriend.

As the movie continued, Clint grew more and more withdrawn and curled into Bucky. "What's wrong, doll?"

Clint looked at him and shivered. "Put long hair on that actor, and he could be Loki."

"Babe, I'd take that diva out long before he ever got near you."

"Aww, my hero."

"Besides, Thor said Loki hasn't left their dungeon, so it's probably a doppelganger. Everybody's got one."

"Oh?"

Bucky nodded. "Yep. I got bored one night. Couldn't sleep, so I did some research. Appears the team's twins are all actors."

Clint pulled back and looked at him. "You're serious about this, aren't you?"

"Prove it, Robocop."

Bucky smirked, taking Tony's comment as a dare. "Gladly, Stark. Friday? Pull up my saved movie clips, please."

"Of course, Sargent Barnes." Friday stopped the movie then various clips from other movies appeared on the screen. When the scenes stopped, everyone was in tears from laughing so hard.

"Before anyone asks," Steve spoke after his fellow team members turned their attention to him, "no, that was not me, and I will NOT be applying whipped cream to any area of my body."
