A/N: Hey there,

here's the next chapter. As always sorry for the mistakes.

Hope you'll enjoy it ;)

It's been two weeks since Donna has been seeing Thomas and she really likes him. She feels comfortable with him and he makes her laugh. Still, she has to think about Harvey too often and can't get away from him, which makes her made at herself.

Harvey, on the other side, is disappointed that Donna still hasn't told him about him. He has become very withdrawn and distant from her over the past few weeks and Donna has noticed but doesn't know why. She thinks he's still a bit disappointed that she didn't believe he was doing badly back then.

"Hey" she greats him as she enters his office.

"Donna, what can I do for you?"

"We need to talk" she says and sits infront of him.

"About what" he asks and hopes she'll finally tell him.

"Did I do something wrong?" She asks sadly

"why do you ask?"

"You've been so... distant since our argument. Are you still mad?"

"I wasn't mad Donna, I was disappointed"

"And this is much better" she says sarcastically.

"Donna, we talked about that, I'm not mad at you, really"

"Then what is it?"

"Nothing" he simply says.

"Harvey please" but he doesn't answer.

"How can I change anything or apologize if I don't even know why you're not talking to me?"

"I am talking to you and I'm not mad. You're imagining it. Everzthing's fine," he says, trying to sound as honest as possible.

"Sure"

"Is there anything else? I'm really busy Donna"

"No, sorry for the interruption" she says and gets up to leave.

When she reaches the door she takes a deep breathe "I'm seeing someone" she says and turns to him.

"Why didn't you tell me you seeing him?" he asks at the same time in a hurting voice.

"You know?" she asks surprised "Goddamn Mike, he told you" she says angry.

"He did and I wish you would've done it yourself"

"Why are you so mad? You don't tell me everything either"

"yeah, but then I don't tell anyone and not just you"

"Harvey..."

"It's okay Donna, I got it. We're just not the same as before" he says dissapointed.

"I have to go on with my life Harvey"

"You always told me you don't get involved with men you work with and you did, twice"

"Why does it bother you that much?" she asks angry.

"Because... I..." he stops hmself. "I love you" he thinks.

"I just don't get it"

"Like I said Harvey, I need to go on with my life and I'm not gonna apologize for who I am, I never did and I won't ever"

"It's good that that's clarified" says Harvey "Now, I think you should leave, I have a lot to do" he focuses on his files again and she leaves.

... ... ...

"Hey Donna" Mike greets her as he opens the door "How are you?"

"What were you thinking, telling him I'm seeing Thomas?" she asks angrily.

Mike exhales "I'm sorry, I thought he should know"

"well, thank you Mike, now he's mad at me and thinks I don't trust him anymore. He's been avoiding talking to me for the past few days, or has been distant."

"I'm sorry, I just thought if he has feelings for you, he should have a chance to tell you before it's too late."

"Well Mike he didn't and to be honest it'd be already too late. And why the hell do you think he has feelings for me?" But he doesn't let him answer "I really like Thomas, he's a good man and I won't hurt him"

"You don't love him, Donna. You just trying to move on"

"Mike!" Rachel shouts.

"What did you just say to me?" asks Donna mad. "I've been waiting for him to make up his mind for years but there always comes another woman, Zoey or Paula or goddamn Scottie. He doesn't want me, Mike and I'm tired of waiting for him to change his mind." He turns to leave again.

"It was you who never wanted him to mention it again Donna, you made it clear to him that you don't date men you work with! what do you expect him to do? He didn't want to lose you so he decided to keep quiet. He would rather work with you platonically than lose you completely. You can't blame him for everything!" He's really mad right now, cause it's Donna's fault just as much as it's Harvey's. Mike is about to tell her the whole truth, but holds back. Harvey told him in confidence and he can't tell Donna that the wheelchair prevents him from telling her the truth. He wouldn't forgive him.

"How do you know that?" She asks not knowing how to react to this confrontation.

"Because I have eyes Donna and I know both of you"

"I don't mean that and you know it"

"He told me years ago but short after that he was with Scottie and you were dating… I don't even know his name anymore… and than I let it go"

"Since when do you forget things Mike"

"Donna, it's not the point and I never cared about him, that's why. Goddamn it just go and tell him"

"I will go on meeting Thomas and if you don't accept that…" she stops not wanting to say what she was going to "Don't interfere in my life anymore Mike" she says and leaves the apartment.

"You told him? You really told him Mike?"

"Yes Rachel I did and I'd do it again. He's my friend and I care about him like you care about Donna. I love both of them and I want them to be happy and they can't be happy if they're with someone else"

"It's not your business, Mike"

"I don't care, they're both unhappy. She can pretend that Thomas is great and makes her happy but it's a lie. He'll never make her as happy as Harvey would and it's not fair to Thomas either. He is only second choice"

"Like you care about Thomas" says Rachel angrily.

"I don't but it's the truth and you know it."

"Donna wants to move on Mike and he doesn't want to tell her. And if you didn't get it, she said it's already too late anyways!"

"And you really believe that?"

"Yes Mike, I do. She likes Thomas and she deserves to try and be happy"

"So does Harvey" he shoots at her.

"He had enough time to tell her and he didn't"

"Because he told him not to or how would you interpret her sentences? She told him she doesn't want to get involved with men she works with and she met Huntley, and now she's meeting Thomas. Her rule obviously counts only for him. How do you think he feels about it? Would you tell me if it were that way?" She shakes her head

"No, I wouldn't. Listen Mike, I love them too and I want them to become a couple… but as long as they don't do somehting by themselves it won't happen and I don't wanna fight with you about it"

"Neither do I" he says and pulls her in a hug.

"I just want them to get their heads outa their ass"

... ... ...

"Hey" says Mike as he enters Harvey's office.

"Mike" he replies "what is it?"

"why do you always assume something's wrong?"

"I know you" Harvey points out.

"Donna was with us yesterday, she's mad at me"

"Sorry Mike, I wasn't going to tell her I knew. It's just..."

"It's okay, I don't really regret it" he says honestly. I still think you should tell her"

"We had that conversation Mike, I won't."

"Why does it make such a difference to you? You said if it were the other way around, you wouldn't mind. why...?"

"Drop it Mike... Not here and it's best not to mention it again. Please, just accept it"

"Alright, I'm sorry. I- I just want you to be happy, Harvey"

Harvey looks at him and gives him a weak smile "I know that Mike and I really appreciate it... but I just can't do that to her."

"I think you shouldn't be the one to decide that for her" Mike says and leaves the office.

Two days later

A knock on Donna's door pulls her out of her thoughts.

"Harvey" she says surprised "what are you doing here?"

"Wow" he says looking at her "you look…stunning" he says.

"What do you want here, Harvey?"

"Can I come in"

"Actually, I'm waiting for Thomas… I don…"

"It won't last" she exhales and moves to the side to let him in.

"I'm sorry" he starts "It's your life and your decision. It's just... we always told each other everything and everything has been different since Paula. We don't talk, we don't drink, we don't flirt, sometimes it feels like we're random colleagues. I appreciate you've been there for me the last months and I know how bad it was for you when I was in the coma but it feels different anyway. I miss our friendship, I miss you, Donna"

Her eyes fill with tears and she blinks to fight the them.

"I miss you too and it's something I wanted to tell you months ago but I was afraid. I kinda though you want it this way" They look at each other and he shakes his head.

"No, it's the last thing I want" Harvey replies. They remain in silence for a few seconds.

"Is it okay if we hug?" he asks

"always" she answers and smiles walking towards him. She sits on his lap and they hug for a few seconds enjoying each others near. As they break the hug and look at each other, they both feel such a bond that neither of them can explain. And than they kiss...
