Be My Valentine
Part XXVI: Every Little Thing You Do Is Magic
Ah February, my most anticipated month of the year. It's been a while since I wrote so I'm a bit rusty. Life has been keeping me busy now that I officially started working, but I hope you guys will enjoy this chapter as much as I have.
Disclaimer: I do not own Disney (DCOMs, Disney shows, Disney XD shows, any Disney movies potentially mentioned) or any of its fictional characters, I only own my Original Characters and the concept of this story. Enjoy.

"3,2,1. Action!"
"Welcome back to another year of 'Be My Valentine', I'm your host, Lou Hawkhauser!" Lou greeted the camera with a bright smile.
"I can't believe it's February again, my favorite month of the year." Evie agreed, cheerfully.
"I can," Jay scoffed as he crossed his arms, "you've been marking the calendar for the last few months counting down to Valentine's day."
"These are my co-host: adorable couple Evie Queen and Carlos De Ville, and our friend Jay Faizan." Lou introduced her co-hosts as the other trip gave a wave.
"Hey wait a second, where are Jones and Feisty?" Jay asked, looking around to find his girlfriend and his brother-in-law.
"They can't make it today, it's the Lunar New Year and they're celebrating it with their family." the authoressess explained from behind the camera.
"Oh" Jay's expression stiffened, a bit disappointed but tried to look fine.
"Don't worry, they sent in two replacements to do the co-hosting for them." The author added, before calling out, "come on out"
Two children came out: the younger sister looked rather eager while the older brother was frowning and having second thoughts.
"Why did we agree to do this again?" The boy, Jackie Yamamoto, asked.
"Because we need someone with sarcasm and wit that's equivalent to Jones. You were the closest thing." The author replied as Jackie gave a half-shrug in response. "Plus you guys are getting paid 20 bucks."
"Hi I'm Chloe!" Chloe curtseyed at the older hosts.
"You're adorable." Evie squealed.
"And I'm Jackie." Jackie introduced himself quickly.
"So what are we doing today? Because Chloe and I need to be home by 6 for the steamboat." Jackie asked, looking at the time on his watch.
"Well on each February, we would host this show to observe what other couples do for the day of love." Lou explained.
"Gross." Jackie stuck out a tongue in disgust.
"Eh give it a few years, you might change your mind." Evie stated in an optimistic tone.
"Maybe not." Jackie snorted in response
"So which lucky couple will we be looking at?" Chloe asked, playing quickly changed the subject before her older brother could say anything rash.
"Drumroll please." Lou cued as Jay lightly drummed the table.
"It's Jane and Emmerich," Lou declared.
"Who are they supposed to be?" Jackie asked.
"They're two of our friends." Carlos explained, before adding, "you pranked them before."
"I have made many enemies in my 10 years of life, so you're gonna have to be a little bit more specific." Jackie blinked.
"You filled their water bottles with salt. Does that ring a bell?" Jay tried to help Jackie recall any memories of Jane and Emmerich. They've all been in the same story (The Ghostwriter and The Lone Ranger series) before.
"Oh now I remember." Jackie grinned with pride when being reminded of his pranks
"I do love puppy love." Evie sighed romantically.
"Agreed. There is something so adorable about first love." Lou agreed.
"Play the clips!" Jackie clicked on the 'play' button on the remote.
~ Couple: Jane (Disney Descendants) x Emmerich Tweed (Original Character, Grandson of Widow Tweed from The Fox and the Hound) ~
Ah yes, Valentine's Day. The day where many celebrate and share their love with their loved ones (or by yourself if you're not looking for a relationship).
Emmerich Tweed noticed how Auradon Prep students tend to exaggerate and seem to think Valentine's day is a big deal. Considering how some of his peers were spending the day of love with their special someone.
Chad Charming and his on-and-off girlfriend Audrey would often spend the day showering compliments and expensive jewelry gifts for each other. Mal and Ben have decided to spend the day together by their hideout spot.
Speaking of which, Emmerich also has a special someone as well. Jane Faery, the beautiful and smart daughter of the benevolent Fairy Godmother.
Emmerich had a crush on Jane when he first transferred to Auradon Prep during his junior year. They were also friends for a while before he confessed his feelings for her and plucked up the courage to ask her to be his date at the Royal Cotillion. Jane was the most wonderful and sweetest person Emmerich has ever met, and he was more than happy when she liked him too.
Needless to say they've been dating for a couple of months now and they will be spending their first Valentine's Day as an official couple soon. While life has been keeping them busy, they still make some time for each other and catch up whenever possible.
A few days ago…
"So...what should we do for Valentine's Day?" Jane asked out loud.
Neither of them really planned out what they'd do on this occasion.
"I'm not entirely sure. What would you like to do?" Emmerich questioned, open to her opinions and suggestions.
"Well...there is something." Jane thought for a moment before speaking up, "I always wanted to go on a horse drawn carriage ride."
"Horse drawn carriage rides?" Emmerich mused. There is something mesmerizing about Jane when her blue eyes sparkle.
"Is it cheesy? It just seems so romantic." Jane admitted.
"Well then, good thing your boyfriend was raised in the countryside and knows how to drive a carriage." Emmerich winked.
"You drove a carriage." Jane was taken aback by his declaration.
"Not exactly a fancy type, it was more of a horse drawn cart. I often helped my grandma make deliveries with our farm horses." Emmerich corrected, looking rather embarrassed.
"It's the thought that counts." Jane giggled, giving him a peck on the cheek.

"Wow, those two suck at flirting." Jackie yawned out loud.
"Jack!" Evie and Lou frowned at the boy.
"What? I'm just speaking my mind." Jackie raised his hands defensively.
"If this is what I can expect from dating, I'm staying single for a long time." Jackie exclaimed.
"Can we please continue the clips? I want to see what happens next!" Chloe raised her hand eagerly.
"Ok, as you wish." Carlos nodded, resuming the video.

Valentine's Day
"Hey Janey." Emmerich noticed Jane approaching him, as he waved to greet his girlfriend.
"Hi Emmy." Jane smiled at him, "happy Valentine's Day."
"Happy Valentine's day to you as well, you look pretty." Emmerich smiled, before stammering, "not that you don't look pretty everyday."
Emmerich pulled out a small bouquet of tulips from behind his back and handed the flowers to Jane.
"These are beautiful. I love them." Jane gasped softly.
"My lady, your carriage ride awaits." Emmerich curtsied a little, before he offered his arm for Jane to hold.
"Buttercup! Ebony!" Jane beamed when she saw two horses awaiting in the stables (one cream colored and another dark colored). "How are you?"
"They've been well. She and Ebony certainly missed you since your last visit." Emmerich answered for the two horses, before promptly feeding a carrot to one of the horses.
"I couldn't find a better looking carriage under short notice," Emmerich confessed, not wanting to disappoint Jane.
"I think that could be arranged." Jane winked at him, before attempting to use some magic spells. "Bibbidi-bobbidi boo"
A small pumpkin appeared in front of them.
"That doesn't really look like a carriage." Emmerich grimaced a bit.
"I know, but I've done this before." Jane assured, trying to concentrate.
"Well, I certainly have my faith in you." Emmerich began to cheer on his girlfriend.
"Bibbidi-bobbidi boo." Jane tried casting another spell.
This time, the small pumpkin transformed into a small pumpkin shaped carriage.
"Holy cows. That's amazing!" Emmerich stared at the carriage in utter disbelief and astonishment. "You are definitely the most extraordinary person I've met."
"My sheriff, our carriage ride awaits." Jane curtsied at Emmerich with a cheeky grin.
And so, Jane and Emmerich took a horse drawn carriage ride around the peaceful outskirts of Auradons. It was definitely nice to catch up with one another and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
"Ok here's my next question. What's the one superpower you wished you could have when you were a little kid?" It was Emmerich's turn to ask Jane a question.
"Ooh that's a trick one." Jane paused to think for a moment, "I wouldn't lie when I say I wished to have as much magical powers like my mom when I was a younger kid. I was envious of how she helped Cinderella get to the ball."
"What about you?" Jane turned to look at Emmerich.
"Well...this may sound a bit silly, but when I was a kid I've always wanted to know what it's like to fly." Emmerich ran his fingers through his dark hair.
"Fly?" Jane mused in response.
"Yup. I would stare outside at the sky and watch birds fly, and wish I could be up there with them." Emmerich nodded, before chuckling, "does that sound too dorky for you?"
"No, I think it's sweet." Jane shook her head, giggling.
"I know I'm not as magical as you are, Janey." Emmerich confessed, his cheeks turning pink, "But I just wanted to let you know that I want to become a stronger person, someone who would be there to protect you just as much as you protect me."
"I'm not sure what the future holds," Jane spoke out, intertwining her fingers with Emmerich's "but it wouldn't be as great without you in my life."
"Happy Valentine's Day, Jane."
"Happy Valentine's Day to you too, Emmerich."
~ Clips End ~
"That was so sweet," Evie squealed.
"I agree, there is something so romantic about puppy love." Lou nodded.
"I gotta hand it to Emmerich, he might be a bit awkward but he sure is smooth with his words." Jay admitted.
"I still don't really get the idea of Valentine's Day, but they seem happy enough." Jackie shrugged.
"This has been a nice hosting." Chloe smiled.
"Yeah if Emmerich can pull off those dates, then Toby Duncan (from Good Luck Charlie) better step up his game if he's gonna be your boyfriend." Jackie nodded.
"He's not my boyfriend!" Chloe hissed, her cheeks flushing pink.
"Suuure." Jackie smirked, crossing his arms.
"So who's up next for the upcoming couple of the month?" Carlos asked.
"This will shock you but prepare for the announcement." the authoress muttered from behind the camera.
"The next couple of the month will be…" Evie paused before declaring, "Spyder and Veracity, and Harris and Rainey."
"Wow, a double date." Lou squealed in excitement.
"Huh, that's a first for me." Jay blinked at the announcement.
"Well today has been fun." Chloe bobbed her head. "Hope to come back here someday."
"Probably as one of the people being spied on than the hosts." Jackie muttered before his sister punched him in the arm.
"Thank you so much for tuning in, we hoped you enjoyed this adorable pairing." Lou turned to the camera.
"Also we gotta hand it in to today's co-hosts." Jay motioned to the two younger kids.
"Thank you both so much for co-hosting with us today." Carlos shook hands with the two younger kids.
"It was nice while it lasted." Jackie nodded, before reminding the authoress to pay the two co-hosts for this session.
"We hope you have enjoyed this chapter."
"Thank you for reading, and have a nice day." Chloe waved at the camera.
Chapter Talk: -
1. Jones and Tracy are not in this chapter, so I figured having Jackie and Chloe subbing in would be fun because they are just as charismatic as the two older hosts (and bring along their own charms into the show as well). Hope you have enjoyed their appearances.
2. Jane and Emmerich were one of the side couples for "The Ghostwriter and the Lone Ranger 2: The Isle Strikes Back", I adored (and missed) writing about their adorkable relationship. They're both hopeless romantics and awkward around each other, which gives me the vibes that they wouldn't really know what to do on their first Valentines' Day together as a couple. Emmerich is a bit of a sweetheart farm boy who loves animals very much.
3. Emmerich technically exists in my other fanfiction (mainly my Lab Rats fandom as one of the Davenport nephews/nieces, since in that timeline Donald and Douglas have a younger sister named Delilah whose kids got implemented bionic chips too) and in that timeline Emmerich's bionic ability is flight, which I felt like it is a nice nod to include him mentioning his childhood superhero dream of being a superhero with flight.
Next Couple(s): Harris & Rainey and Veracity & Spyder.
