Day 20 – Strings
Clint leaned back into the couch pillows, the scene before him tugging at his heartstrings. His tough guy boyfriend, the former Fist of Hydra, former Winter Soldier, James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes, was spread out on their living room floor waving a feather in the air as a little white kitten batted it away. Eventually, the cat got tired of playing and let out a quiet, pitiful meow. Bucky crossed his legs, picked up the kitten, and cradled the animal in his lap. "Shh, Alpine, it's okay. I've got you." Clint had never heard Bucky speaking in such a soft voice. His heart melted even more. The final straw? Bucky looked up at Clint, eyes wet, and asked, "Can I keep her?"
