AN: Wow sorry for posting this chapter so late. Long story short my job has changed my schedule again, for the third time this month (kill me). So not gonna lie my writing schedule(sleep schedule) have been shot. So far warning my update schedule may change as well if stuff like this keeps happening.

Chapter 4 First Assignment

"So our two targets are a captain named Orge and a merchant named Gamal." said Tatsumi, they all were currently at the dinner table, eating Tatsumi's cooking. After a few days ago when they ate Tatsumi's cooking with some of his Nen with it, he has been experimenting cooking with Nen, It was something he never honestly thought of. Because of this it had become somewhat of a training exercise for him and Akame. Though the real challenge was trying to get her to stop eating all the food they were making.

"Hhmm hm," was Leone's response as she was savouring every bit of her food.

Tatsumi was getting a little annoyed. "Can I get a few details, please."

Sayo put a hand on her friend's shoulder to calm down. "Tatsumi I think you should ask after they all eat," the rest of the table was the same as they kept eating the food with great gusto. Tatsumi didn't really get it, maybe perhaps it was because he had been tasting his nen for years, so he was kind of used to it.

"Besides, maybe you can help me with something," said Sayo, getting his attention. "I would like to hunt certain danger beasts for a little something. Do you think that you can help me out?"

"Sure, what are you trying to make?" Sayo then explained to him what she was planning to do, not too loud for the others to hear. "Oh that would definitely be nice. Later tonight I can get you a list of what to hunt down for that."

"Really thanks."

"By the way, how are you doing? It's been awhile since we joined."

Sayo gave him an annoyed look. "Yes it's been a while since you told them about our secret and decided without telling us that you were going to train assassins in our ways."

Tatsumi flinched back. "Yeah I admit not the smartest move I should have made, but everything turned out alright." he said pointing at Ieyasu who was digging into his meal along with the other members of Night Raid.

"Just because things turned out alright doesn't mean you should have told them, I mean what possessed you to tell them." This question had been on Sayo's mind for quite awhile, she has always trusted Tatsumi since they were kids. They have been through so much together that she knew that they would stick together to hell and back. So there had to be a good reason for him divulging their knowledge.

She then noticed that Tatsumi was giving a distant look. Following his eyesight she saw that he was gazing upon a ravenous Akame, who was chowing down her food with a big smile on her face. "I had a feeling that they needed me."

Sayo couldn't deny that when he said that a part of her heart twisted and she knew she needed to do something about it before it was too late for her, though she also knew that now was not the time. "Any way, what's done is done, but" she kicked him. "Next time tell us before doing something like this. Ieyasu's supposed to be the stupid one."

(Hey I heard that!) Ieyasu tried to say through a mouth full of food. Though the only thing that came out was a series of angry grunts. Causing a few to laugh and Mine trying to remind them not to speak with food in their mouths.

Orge was enjoying his night. He just got done executing some chef and having some fun with his wife so she could at least keep their food stall. "Ah a good execution, sex and now time to have a drink with the new privates. That sounds like the end of a great night." he said out loud as he was walking down the street. "Wait a minute?" as he stopped. "Did I just say that out loud."

"Yeah sure did." said a cloaked figure behind Orge. Orge jumped and turned while drawing his weapon. "I just wanted to make you admit your crimes."

Orge quickly calmed himself down. 'Admit he said. That means he did something to me. Was it poison, no. If it were poison he would want someone other then him to hear me and this street is empty.' thought Orge as he looked around and saw no one insight. 'What does this guy want, did he want me to speak for his own satisfaction or was it for something else.'

"It's one of my manipulator abilities, Honesty Trade." said the cloak figure as he grabbed his cloak, readying to take it off. "My friends thought I should have an ability that forces others to be honest, cause well to be honest myself I'm not that smart as others." as Ieyasu removed the cloak.

"A kid." said Orge a bit surprised. He knew this was going to turn into a fight but he wasn't expecting his opponent to be so young. "Wow you really must be stupid, kid." He said, regaining his confidence. "I'm a captain in the3 military. What do you think you're going to do to me?"

Ieyasu grabbed his weapon and began to sip it before pointing it at Orge. "I'm going to send you to hell with my Switch Axe." as the weapon began to unfold into a large sword that no ordinary person should be able to wield.

'What the HELL' screamed Orge in his head. 'This kids got a teigu. I don't recognize it from the book but that has to be a Teigu. This could be bad.' Orge began to think of his options from everything to running to fighting. "Wait a minute, why am I worried ? He's just a kid and if I bring that weapon back to my superiors then I can get a promotion." he shouted as if he already one before going silent once more. "I talked out loud again."

"That's the power of my Honesty Trade." said Ieyasu resting his sword on his shoulder. "It's a simple Manipulator technique, it forces people to be honest with themselves as well as others. I can't make you say anything but if you're not careful it will cause you to say what's on your mind and the effect lasts longer the more I'm honest with you." Even though it was a simple technique Ieyasu still didn't really like taking other people's freedoms away, even if it was the freedom to lie, but he is more than happy to make an exception for scum like Orge.

Orge carefully put a hand on his mouth for a moment as he processed the information. To make sure what the kid was telling the truth he began to scream in his head all the things he would do to the brat once he was done kicking his ass. 'Looks like the kid wasn't lying, through the whole speech in my head I wanted to say something but I was able to keep my mouth shut. So as long as I'm careful with my words I won't be able to say anything else. Even though he's the only person I can see, I can't let anyone else hear what I know. This kid has one strange ability. Wait…' "That power. It only allows you to make others honest." he said, getting Ieyasu's attention who was patiently waiting for Orge. "It has nothing to do with combat at all."

Ieyasu thought there was no problem being honest with the guy he was about to kill. "No none whatsoever. Though my friend Tatsumi did mention that it would be great for negotiations or diplomacy."

Orge got a mad grin on his face as he began to laugh like a mad man. He just couldn't believe his luck. "I get it. That Teigu is designed for diplomacy. It gives you the power for honesty and if shit hits the fan you got a big ass sword to fight with." Ieyasu gave him a look that screamed he was acting crazy. "This is fantastic, if I'm compatible with that weapon then I can rule these streets by using the merchants and their lies and even if I can't I can just give it to the higher ups and get one hell of a promotion."

"What the hell are you raving about." said Ieyasu

"Now all I have to do is kill this stupid kid." said Orge as he readyed his blade. "Thanks kid I'll try and make this quick." As he charged Ieyasu.

Ieyasu moved, clashing his blade with Orge's. They began to trade a few slashes before they disengaged. "Okay you're actually a bit tougher then I thought you'd be." said Ieyasu "But I don't have time to play with you any final words."

"Final words?" said Orge feeling slightly insulted. "You got some moves kid but you ain't going to beat me. I'm going to kill you, take that sword and use it to become rich, I'll get as much booze and woman as I want and I'll kill anyone I want." as he began to continue the fight.

Ieyasu sighed as his blade began to glow red. Ieyasu then held his sword horizontally as he charged it. He then dashed at blinding speed, disappearing for a second, as he made the slash before reappearing behind Orge. Orge's sword was sliced above the hilt and his arms and body were cut right above the hips. "You truly are disgusting."

With one quick movement of his blade Ieyasu removed the blood from his blade as Orge fell to the ground in pieces. "So...this is how...I'm ...going to die…..It was…. a ..Fun...Life."

"Yep" as Ieyasu turns his weapon back to its axe form. "You truly are disgusting." As Ieyasu disappeared into the night.

Gamal's night was about to end up the very same as Orge. He currently was at his favorite brothel and had been going a few rounds with a couple different whores. Gamal then decided it was time for a little break as he walked out of his room. "I think after a restroom break,a glass of water and one more whore, I'll go to bed. That blonde one was great though, she reminded me about that Aria girl. That girl is desperate to hold on to her title of nobility, maybe I can give her a good deal if she gives me a piece of that ass."

"You know not going to lie, Aria sleeping with a fat bastard like yourself would be a great punishment for her." said Tatsumi right behind Gamal. Gamal turned and saw Tatsumi and was about to yell at him for scaring him but he soon realized he couldn't. Something was wrapped around his neck, something he couldn't see. "Yeah, I already have your neck with my scales and I could easily kill you with them, but I want to try something." said Tatsumi

Gamal began to freak out in his restraints and had already started to piss his pants. He wanted to scream, he wanted to beg or bribe his way out, but there was no way that was going to work on Tatsumi. With a strike as fast as lightning, Tatsumi attacked. For a moment gamal had no idea what had just happened until blood started to burst where his heart should be. Gamal's last sight was Tatsumi holding Gamal's heart in his hand.

Tatsumi released his scales and dropped the man's heart. "Damn, I thought I could do that a little cleaner." Tatsumi took out a rag from his pocket and began to clean his hand as he walked out of the brothel. "How the hell did that one guy do it without spilling a single drop of blood."

Sayo loved the outdoors, with how long they have traveled she has gotten used to nature's beauty, but she couldn't deny she also loved the common comforts of modern civilization. "Oh man when i get back to the hideout, I'm going to soak for a whole day." She was walking through the forest very far away from any town or city. Trying to find a very specific beast. 'How the hell is it this hard to find one overgrown lizard.' she thought as she was starting to get a little annoyed that her search while far from fruitless, she did get almost everything on her list she was just missing one last beast and it was supposed to be the biggest.

"RRRRRAAAOOOORRRR."

Sayo turned around and saw in the distance several falling to the ground. As she watched more trees kept falling as the thing that kept making them fall, kept getting closer and closer until a giant dinosaur came crashing through the clearing. It was big and green and looked like a T Rex with a hard bony exoskeleton. Saliva was dripping from its mouth that could burn wood. It slowly looked down at Sayo, with hunger in its eyes.

"A Giganotosaurus Rex. Finally I need your carcass.' said Sayo, absolutely not terrified at all by the massive beast. Even though the large lizard wasn't intelligent it was still a bit surprised that this tiny creature in front of it wasn't cowering in fear of it. "I'll just use my arrow and hit your brain through the eye, wait I could also use the eyes." said Sayo as she began to think. The rex wasted no time and stomped on the small human. Though when it removed the foot, it found nothing. "Okay so I need to figure out how to kill you without damaging your body too much." The dinosaur then moved its eyes to it's snout where Sayo was standing. "I was going to use the drill arrow and go through the eye to the brain, but I can't do that, poison would ruin the organs and skin, Oh I know I would use the pump arrow and pump all of your blood out. I used that on the giant bear back home." The giant bear she was speaking of had diamond hard skin so when she got an opening thanks to Tatsumi, she created an arrow that when embedded into a creature would begin to pump all of their blood out of the wound it created.

The Giga didn't like this and began to shake its head, to throw Sayo off. Which didn't really matter as she jumped off the lizard. "Wait, that may not work, I need the spin and spinal fluid, oh I'll just use the shockwave pulse." As she remembered one of the abilities that Tatsumi put into her bow. Sayo landed on the ground and immediately jumped into the air again towards the rex's chest, without noticing an arrow she pulled back the bow string. She then released the bow string as she made contact with the lizard's chest as a shockwave rippled throughout the beast causing a heart attack.

The beast could only take a few more steps before collapsing to the ground and causing a small quake. "Sorry big guy, but my friend kind of needs ya, and from what the locals have told me, you've been quite the ass haven't you." She said as she created a Drill Arrow, This arrow has a drill as an arrow head allowing it to dig through objects. Sayo attached some rope at the end and fired it towards the ground in front of the rex. The arrow dug under the ground and shot out from the other side of the lizard and began to wrap around the corpse, it continued to dig and wrap around the rex until Sayo nearly ran out of rope.

"Alright, that looks tight enough." she said as she climbed up the dinosaur. Once she made it to the top she tied the rope around her and raised her bow. "Stat Bow Energy release." the blow started to glow. "Blink Arrow." An arrow of pure Nen appeared and was shot through the air toward the hideout along with Sayo and her trophy.

"Okay how in the hell did you do that?" asked Leone as her and Tatsumi made their way back to the hideout.

"Do what?"

"The whole heart ripping thing."

"You saw that?"

"Of course I did, I am supposed to be your backup after all. I'm of course you didn't need it but that doesn't matter right now, how'd you do it." she said with stars in her eyes. "Come on, tell me, please."

"Really, I mean it's cool and all but it's not exactly practical in a fight." he said though as he thought about, you would just have to be godly fast to use it in actual combat, but he wasn't that good. Tatsumi could only think of one guy who would be able to do that. "Besides that trick is really hard to do."

Leone wrapped an arm around Tatsumi and pushed him into her boobs. Then with lust in her voice. "If you teach me how you did that I'll let you take a bath with me, and maybe at the end we can have a little fun with just you and I."

Tatsumi could feel his blood going straight to his head and to his man hood. He wouldn't deny Leone was hot as hell and any man would jump at the chance to have some fun with her. He was a man and he couldn't deny that the offer sounded nice. Though like usual the world had other plans for him.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH"

"That sounded like Mine." They both now on high alert raced back to the hideout. They followed the sound of panic yelling all the way to the clearing right outside of the west entrance and what they found shocked them both.

"For the last time, Mine, it's dead. So stop screaming." said Sayo standing in front of the corpse of a Giganticsourous Rex. "It's not going to eat you."

"I know It's not going to eat me but why do you have that thing with you?" ask Mine who was hiding behind Sheele.

"Because I'm going to have Tatsumi do his blacksmith thing and make us some stuff that should help us. Chill out." she said As Akame suddenly appeared holding a knife and fork and wearing her baffe bip with a bit of drool already escaping her lips. Sayo gave her a deadpan look and said "No"

Akame's face changed to one of horror. "But...Dinosaur meat."

"No, Akame"

Akame fell to her knees in despair as she began to silently weep for her food. Bulat went and patted her on the head. "There, there Akame. We'll get you some good game next time."

"Wow," said Tatsumi now, making his and Leone's presence known. He began taking a look at Sayo's haul. "Did you take it down without making any external wounds?"

Sayo smiled with pride. "Yep. Had to give it a heart attack. I didn't want to make too much damage. I remembered you saying how you could use every single part of this thing."

"Oh yeah, the blood can be used as oil and fuel, bones that are better than metal and skin that can turn into premium leather. Honestly there's so little waste with these guys. I can most likely use every part of it." he said as he examined it. "Nice job Sayo this is perfect and with it being full grown will have plenty of materials left over."

"WHOA DID I MISS A MONSTER FIGHT." yelled Ieyasu as he made it back. "Please tell me I didn't miss something awesome."

"There's no need to worry, Ieyasu" said Sheele "Sayo went hunting and brought it back, so none of us saw anything."

"Oh"

"Though from the sound of it we did miss Mine scream like a child." siad Leone teasing Mine.

"Oh shut up. How was I supposed to react to Sayo suddenly appearing on top of a dinosaur." she said while being extremely embarrassed.

Leone wanted to continue but Bulat told her to back off a bit as they saw the boss coming back with Lubbock in tow. "Well it looks like you guys had quite the night." Najenda said as she lit a cigarette. "Though before any of you start to celebrate your successes, you should probably get a good night's sleep. We got a job tomorrow. It looks like keeping that rich girl alive was a good thing. We got a list of targets and one of them has an opening tomorrow night. Our target is Iokal, the prime minister's cousin."

This news shocked the members of Night Raid. "The prime minister's cousin." said Bulat, still a bit surprised. "We've been trying to get a shot on him for a while, how'd we get this chance."

"Aria got an invitation to a little party, apparently several other nobles want to take what little money she has left and they tried to use the guest list as a form of bait, telling her that several merchants and Iokal are coming as well. Though clearly the girl is smarter than that and knew it was a trap but she was able to fish for a bit more info and was also able to find out where the bastard is living."

Sayo hummed a bit with a look of disbelief. "You have made sure all of this information is correct. She wasn't just trying to blow out of her own ass was she."

"Don't worry, Sayo. Her new butlers are actually a part of the revolutionary army and they heard everything and our scouts have proven the intel. Iokal lives outside of the capital to the east of the city. When he leaves his home for the party we'll take him and his guards out." explained Najenda "Any questions?" None of them did. "Alright then we move out at sundown tomorrow night."

Lubbock and the others thought about what she just said. "Wait boss, are you coming with us?"

She nodded. "Yep it's time I put all this Nen training and practice to good use. I'm ready to get back into the field."

"No you aren't." said Sayo, earning looks from the others. "Me, you and Ieyasu aren't going."

This caused her to receive shocked looks from everyone again. "Huh why can't I go?" asked Ieyasu

"Because I need you." she said before looking at Tatsumi "Hey I don't mean to rush you but how long will the thing I ask for take, can you get it done in the next couple of days."

Tatsumi slapped the rex. "With this baby right here I should have it done by the end of the week.."

"Alright then members of Night Raid here's your assignment." said Sayo getting their attention like a military drill sergeant. "When you go and kill this cousin guy I want you guys to use a bit of Nen. Got it."

"HAI" was their response.

Night Raid had found the estate where Iokal resides and the members were currently on top of a hill far enough away so their genius sniper could get a well placed shot in, but she was currently having a bit of a tantrum.

Mine continued to growel. "I can't believe he didn't come with us."

"I still can't believe you're still pouting about it." said Leone getting a glare from Mine

"Um why are you so angry?" asked Sheele

Leone grinned. "It's because she can't impress tatsumi with her sniping skills."

Mine's face instantly turned red. "What no you idiot. I don't care what he thinks, I just wanted to show him how a true assassin works."

There was a bit of a silence after Mine's statement. "But he's already done a job with us and we've all seen him kill." said Sheele "I don't think he needs any more demonstrations."

Leone almost started chuckling at Mine who began fuming, before she shifted her attention to Akame. "About you Akame, do you wish Tatsumi was here?"

"I do." she said in her monotone voice, surprising everyone. Akame shifted under their gaze. "He makes me feel safe."

They all were very eager to continue the conversation before Lubbock came back to the clearing. "Guys, they're starting to move." He said getting their attention.

Leone growled. "What shitty timing."

"Huh did I miss something?"

Bulat put a hand on Lubbock. "Don't worry about it. Just some girl talk."

"Girl talk?"

"Oh will you put a sock in it," said Mine raising her sniper rifle, Pumpkin, "It's time to go to work."

"Hey Mine. Can you even make the shot. This is pretty far away shouldn't we move closer?"

Mine smirked. "That was before my training. I discovered by putting Nen in my eyes I can enhance my vision and put a little in my hands for adjustment, now I feel like I can make any shot."

Mine powered up her Nen as Iokal came out of his castle across the valley, he was surrounded by a massive crowd of women. 'Easy'. Mine carefully lined up the shot and without any hesitation pulled the trigger. The shot soared through the sky and hit it's mark right through the chest. "Bullseye."

The members of Night Raid gave Mine a few complements before Lubbock informed them that they had enemies incoming. Six elite guards dashed into the clearing. All of them taking up battle stances.

"You guys must be stupid for not running away. We are elite bodyguards trained at the temple of-" said the lead guard before Leone punched a hole through his chest. Before the other guards could react Bulat Nen punched one's head off, Lubbock emitted a slash with one of his strings cleaving one in two, Mine through a Nen ball through another one, Akame on instinct sliced one with her sword and Sheele forgot about the Nen and just killed the last one.

Leone looked at the fresh corpses before scanning the tree line for anyone else. "Lubbock are their anymore coming,"

"Nope, that's all of them."

Leone deflated a little. "Well that's disappointing. I was hoping for more of a challenge."

"Let's be honest Leone," said Bulat "With Nen on our side, I doubt we'll have much of a challenge anytime soon."

Lubbock shivered a little. "Please tell me you didn't just jinx us."

In the capital a happy couple were currently being dissected by an executioner.

Made it. Okay so with chapter out of the way things should hopefully go smoother. Not gonna lie this chapter gave me a bit of writers block. Again just want to say that my schedule is up in the air now, I will try to keep to it as best I can but again life happens.
