'I don't deserve this kind of crap from you!'
'Oh yeah?! Well, you deserve THIS!'
Up in OPS.
'She actually threw a whole pie at him?!' Eric asked, shocked.
'Yes! Right at his stomach!' Deeks exclaimed.
'Man, wonder what he said to piss her off this time?' Callen pondered.
'It's none of your business, so don't bother asking!' Granger growled after walking in.
They were about o depart for the field when Deeks asked:
'Was the pie coconut custard or vanilla cream?'
Granger shot him a vicious look.
That afternoon.
'Just um, out of curiosity while we're waiting for our suspect to show up, why is Hetty in a cranky mood?' Callen asked over comms.
'You're all going to keep asking until I answer, right?' Granger asked, annoyed.
'Pretty much, yeah.'
'I swear, it feels like a high school some days with this team!' Granger mumbled. 'We were at dinner and someone I saw a while back showed up. And Hetty took it the wrong way, the end!'
'Was it a really hot girl? Because women tend to get insecure when someone taller and prettier then them enters the picture.' Deeks rang in.
'Shut up Deeks!' Both Granger and Callen exclaimed.
That night, Hetty's office.
'You know it's not embarrassing to admit you have certain body insecurities, right? I could tell you were really jealous.' Granger said.
'Oh?! Are you trying to say that I get jealous and insecure when women much taller and prettier then me hit on you or say that they dated or slept with you?' Hetty asked.
'Yes.'
Heavy sigh. 'I'd throw something else at you. But it would further prove your point. All my life, especially throughout school, I was turned down by almost every boy because of my looks. And anyone who did date me either didn't do it for long because of peer pressure or because they took a dare to date the ugliest and shortest kid in school. So yes, forgive me if I get worried sometimes I'll get rejected for a supermodel!'
Sitting down next to her. 'Women that I've been with in the past may have been pretty, but they definitely weren't kind. You have your rough edges, but deep down inside you care. And despite your looks, I'd much rather settle for a kind person then a shallow, pretty one.' Granger said.
Hetty gave him a kind look. 'You really mean that?'
'Would I be here right now if I didn't?'
'No, I guess you wouldn't.' Then she leaned into him. 'We good then?'
'For the time being.'
