Chapter 26

Monday morning Marinette woke a few minutes before her alarm. She smiled watching Luka sleep. It had been a wonderful weekend of movies and cuddles. She carefully slipped from the bed and headed to take a shower making sure to turn her alarms off. When she came out Luka was sitting up.

"Morning darling,"

"Morning rockstar," she smiled, kissing him quickly before getting dressed.

"How's the shoulder today?"

"Good as new," Marinette smiled, "Miraculous magic is the best you know,"

"That it is," he smirked, "so school?"

"School," Marinette laughed, "I am going to make some breakfast. Do you want anything?"

"Let's stop at your parents instead," he said getting up and grabbing clothes

"Works for me," Marinette smiled happily, "We should leave soon though I have to meet with Adam before school to get the dress for class"

"Okay give me five minutes and make sure you wear the sling at least through the week no one else needs to know about miraculous magic," he smiled getting up. Marinette grinned, heading to check on Rose and Juleka before they left. She knocked before walking in.

"You better be dying," Juleka groaned

"Sorry just letting you know Luka and I are headed out," Marinette said

"Okay be safe," Juleka said, curling closer to Rose. Marinette chuckled softly, closing the door. She headed towards the bedroom to gather her stuff. Luka was walking out of the bathroom when she walked into the room. She kissed his cheek, grabbing her bag and telling him she would meet him on the deck. A few minutes later the couple left for her parents' bakery.

They arrived at the school 30 minutes later and Marinette with a quick kiss took off to meet Adam. She headed into the library and noticed him talking to some girl so she waited a moment before walking over.

"Hey Marinette," He greeted with a smile, "how are you doing?"

"Pretty good," Marinette smiled, "how was the rest of your week and weekend?"

"Great," he grinned, "so did the attack ruin your romantic weekend with the boyfriend?"

"It definitely postponed it," Marinette laughed gesturing to the sling, "anyway do you have the dress?"

"I do and I think you are going to love it," he smirked, "i went a bit off from what we had discussed but trust me it looks great,"

"Well show me," Marinette smiled. He laughed, pulling the dress out of the garment bag and showing it to her. "That's amazing,"

"I know," he grinned

"If you ever need a job in the industry let me know I have some pull at JAM Fashions,"

"Really," he grinned, "that would be great,"

"If you are seriously interested they are doing interviews for their new Paris location," Marinette said, "you should really consider applying,"

"I think I will," he smiled, "anyway Sonya and I had better get going see you in class,"

"See you later," Marinette waved as she headed towards her own class.

Later that day they stood at the front of the classroom giving their presentation. They finished and waited for questions from the teacher or class. When they were done they sat down and watched the rest of the class present.

"Okay class those of you who presented today come to my desk to get your grade. The rest of you, be prepared when class starts tomorrow," the teacher called out. Marinette and Adam headed to the desk.

"Great job you two," the teacher smiled, handing them their grade...and A of course. They high fived and headed their separate ways.

Marinette hurried out the door of her last class and found Luka waiting outside the door. She smiled rushing up to hug him. Careful not to use her "injured" arm. They headed to their cafe to kill a few minutes before they had to go to the meeting. They sat at a table and talked for a bit before heading across the street for the meeting. Marinette unlocked the door letting him in before leading the way to the elevator. They waved at Ally as they walked. She gave a relieved sigh.

"Everyone is waiting in the conference room," she said, "all the paperwork has been fudged and is in order. Audrey will be available in 20 minutes and we already made arrangements for video call,"

"Is there anything else I need to know?" Marinette asked

"We have almost gotten through all the applications,"

"Good. keep an eye out for the names I told you earlier and add Adam Dulce to that list," Marinette smiled

"What are his qualifications?" Ally groaned

"You see the beadwork and embroidery on this dress," Marinette smirked, "it's all his,"

"Alright," Ally said with a soft smile

"And Ally if we can't get it narrowed to the number we discussed. Don't overthink it just hire them," Marinette smiled

"You got it, boss," Ally laughed, "now off you go,"

Marinette and Luka finally made it to the elevator and headed up. When they got to the conference room Marinette smiled to see everyone pestering Jordan.

"Hey guys, what did we miss?" Marinette asked

"Jordan has a hickey," Kagami smirked, "and Chloe is quite proud of it,"

"Cute," Marinette laughed, "any way we are just waiting on Audrey, and then we will begin,"

"Hey Marinette I need a minute," Ally called from the doorway

"Sure," Marinette said, stepping out of the room, "what's up Ally?"

"I have bad news for you," Ally said

"What's going on?"

"The apartments are completely ready to go as of 1 pm today," Ally sighed

"That is bad news?" Marinette asked

"It means that you can move into the apartment and away from Luka," Ally pouted

"Yes, because having an apartment totally means we aren't going to spend nearly every night together," Marinette said, rolling her eyes, "Are all the apartments ready?"

"Yes all the apartments are ready," Ally said

"Great," Marinette grinned, "we can let everyone know,"

"Okay" Ally shrugged, "After the meeting, anyone who wants to see the apartments can talk to me and I will show them the apartments. You just need your stuff moved in. All your appliances and stuff from your storage unit are moved in. Although why someone needs 4 ovens I question,"

"Don't judge," Marinette laughed heading back into the meeting room. She smiled when she noticed everyone was there.

"Okay everyone Audrey will be joining us shortly in the meantime let begin with getting everyone up to date," Marinette smiled gesturing to Ally to take over.

Two hours later an agreement to allow Gabriel to buy the shares had been made and they all headed their separate ways. Marinette and Luka made sure to lock up behind them before heading back to the liberty.
