AN: For those who want a comparison, the original was from my earlier days when I was just a novice writer.
It has been years since the digidestined have defeated MaloMyotismon. They all went on with their lives and have gone their separate ways. They try to keep in touch with each other over the years, but it's difficult when you're growing up. At the moment, they all have children and are trying to live their own lives. One of them was Davis Motomiya with him at the playground with his son Musuko Motomiya.
"What are you doing standing around here? Go on and play with the other kids." Davis said.
"Yeah!" Musuko cheered as he went off playing with the other kids. Davis certainly has come to enjoy his life. He's got his own noodle business and has a great son. As he took a seat down on a bench, he soon spotted someone he hasn't seen in a long time. It was none other than his old crush: Kari.
"Please, Sora." Kari begged as she was on her phone. She sounded rather distressed about something. "No... I understand, really. I'll figure something out." Not only has he not seen her in years, but she was clearly upset. It hasn't been easy for him since she was married and he still carried a spark for her. Still, he swallowed his pride and went over to talk to her.
"Hey, Kari." Davis said. She looked up and couldn't believe her eyes.
"Davis! Oh my gosh!" Kari said as she stood up and hugged him. "It's been too long! Years, in fact. I've been meaning to ask why you never came to mine and T.K.'s wedding." He really had no answer. It's not easy seeing someone you once loved marry someone else. "Well, how come you never mentioned you had a kid or that you were married."
"Musuko isn't really mine. I found a way to adopt him." Davis said since he never really found the right woman, especially when he thought the perfect one was standing before him. "I'm not sure why he looks like me. Weird." Kari certainly thought so, but it didn't matter to her right now. "Are you okay?"
"No, actually." Kari admitted. "The truth is that T.K. and I are getting a divorce." That was a shocker since a lot of people thought they were great together. "I need to find a place for me and our youngest son Koji. I tried all our old friends, but they all say they don't have enough room."
"What about Tai?" Davis asked.
"He's all the way in America and I don't have a key to his place." Kari said. "Looks like I'll have to find pay for a cheap motel."
"No you don't." Davis said as he couldn't allow that. "I've got plenty of room. You and he can stay with me."
"Really?!" Kari said as she couldn't believe it.
"I got a spare room for Koji, you can take my bed, and I can sleep on the couch." Davis said.
"I couldn't you ask you to do that." Kari said.
"I insist." Davis said as he wouldn't take no for an answer and Kari was amazed that Davis would do that.
...
Davis' House
What amazed Kari the most was that Davis lived at the beach. She and her son got their stuff, went down to the beach, and saw an amazing house. Davis has clearly done well for himself.
"I love it here, Mom!" Koji said.
"It is a beautiful house. It's really just the two of you?" Kari questioned.
"Sure is. It's easy when you're a millionaire." Davis said as Kari was impressed with all of it. Once there, they set some things up for Kari and Koji to stay. Koji took a spare room while Davis shared half of his room with Kari while he would be sleeping on the couch. For Kari, he didn't really mind at all. Some time later, Musuko was packing some of his stuff as it seemed like he was heading out. That was when Koji walked by his room.
"Where are you going?" Koji asked.
"I know you and your mom just got here, but I was invited to a sleepover beforehand." Musuko said.
"Can I go?" Koji asked.
"You want to come with me instead of sleeping on the beach?" Musuko questioned.
"Yeah. I feel like you're my brother and I want to go." Koji said. That was weird to say, but it seemed normal to Musuko.
"If it's okay with your mom." Musuko said. Koji hurried over and asked if it was fine. Seems like those two already have a good connection.
...
Later
Kari said it was okay for Koji to go along. She thought it would do him some good, keep him distracted from the divorce. Some time later, after the sun has already gone down, Davis returned home after he dropped off the boys. Kari seems to have made herself at home. While she was getting herself comfortable, she saw him on his way out.
"Where are you going?" Kari asked.
"I was just going to take a stroll along the beach. Do you want to come along?" Davis offered. It did sound rather nice to Kari. So, the two of them went out together and had a nice walk along the sea.
"I still can't get over what you've done with yourself." Kari said. "You own a beach house, became a millionaire, and was able to raise a kid all on your own. You're pretty lucky."
"I guess... I'm really lucky to have Musuko, otherwise I would have no one to share all of this with." Davis said.
"So, why don't you find someone?" Kari questioned.
"I just don't think I can. I just don't think I can date." Davis claimed, but Kari found that ridiculous. She stepped in front of him to tell him that, but she ended up stepping into a hole in the sand and ended up tripping. Lucky for her, Davis caught her. However, the way they held each other and how the moonlight bounced off against them. The way they saw each other was like they saw something beautiful and felt entranced. Neither could help themselves as they actually kissed each other, but it was only a few seconds before they broke away.
"I'm sorry." Kari said as she felt embarrassed. "I think... I think I'm going to finish putting my things away." She said as she walked back to the house, but Davis wasn't going to let her go that easily.
...
Davis' Bedroom
Kari went back up to his bedroom and tried finishing packing her stuff. She took a large case and tried putting it up in the closet, but had a little trouble. She did get some help as Davis came in and pushed it in for her. As Kari turned to face him, the two of them felt something drawing them closer. Davis certainly didn't ignore it as he kissed her again. Kari certainly didn't fight it. Just as he pulled away from her, Kari pulled him back in and threw some passion into that kiss as she too couldn't fight what they were feeling. It escalated even more as both of them removed their shirts. Davis lifted her up with her wrapping her legs around him as he pinned her to the wall. Kari roamed her fingers through his hair as Davis just enjoyed being this close to her. He carried her right over to the bed and placed her down and tried removing her pants, loving the sight below him as Kari seemed more developed than he thought. Once he got those off, he climbed right over her and continued their little session. Kari ran her hands down his muscles until she reached his pants and got them off with them both in their underwear now. Never wanting to let the other go, the two of them held each other and continued kissing. Then, they started to roll around on the bed until they found Kari's head on the pillow and Davis was right over her with the two of them staring at each other's eyes. They've been friends for so long, but were never this close with each other. Just then, Kari's cellphone was going off and it was from T.K.
"Can I get that?" Kari asked.
"Not a chance." Davis said as he wasn't letting this opportunity slip away from him. He kissed her again to try and continue what they started. Kari did push up and have the two sit up. Davis thought she was mad, but Kari actually wanted this. She proved that as she removed her own bra and underwear. Davis loved this as she also reached for his boxers and removed them as well. The two held each other again with nothing keeping them apart. Kari just let her phone rang as she continued making out with Davis. Kari worked her way down as she planted kisses down his neck and over his chest. Davis just slid his hands over Kari's smooth skin as he relished feeling her press against his body. Once he got his fill, he grabbed a hold of her and pinned her against the bed with her back facing her. Then, he grabbed her by the waist and Kari could feel something big and hard pushed inside her.
"Aw! Aw!" Kari cried as she could feel Davis pushing against her and soon picked up the pace like he was beating on a drum. Kari rode it out as she continued crying like that, the cries just made Davis push even harder, and she loved all of it. Kari gripped the sheets as she tried to endure what Davis was doing to her. She even buried her face in the pillows and muffled her cries, but Davis wasn't going to allow that. He slid a hand under her chin and lifted it up so that Kari was looking right at him. Once he saw that, he was able to kiss her while hanging over her. He continued to push against him, sliding his spare hand over her arm as he was able to grab her hand. Kari only pulled away from his lips so she could breathe and cry. Davis kept thrusting against her until he finally reached the end and Kari felt something warm squirt against her. That was when Davis rolled off of her and had his back to her as he tried taking deep breaths. Still, Kari wasn't finished. She pushed herself against him as she planted several kisses against his back.
"Kari..." Davis giggled as it tickled and he loved feeling her against him. Just then, Kari had him turn around and sat right on him. She slid her hands down his hard muscles and slid them down further and further with blood pumping to a certain part of him again. Once that happened, Kari pushed herself down right on him. She bounced against his lap and Davis had to get involved as he pushed his lower region up against her. Both of them were breathing hard as they picked up the pace. Then, Davis sat straight up with the two of them holding each other. Davis had his arms around her back while Kari placed her hands on his shoulder and kept a firm grip around him with her legs. The two of them continued to bounce against each other at a pace like they were rabbits on the run. They could feel their hot breath against each other. They just sat like that until Kari's end came. The two of them tightened their grips each other, a bit of pain coursing through them from the tightened grips, but they both loved it. When it was done, the two of them just sat there and stared at each other. The both took deep breaths and tried to compose themselves.
"Davis... I... I..." Kari wasn't really sure what to say.
"It's okay. You don't need to say anything." Davis said as he just enjoyed what happened here.
"I do..." Kari said as she pulled him in and kissed him some more. "I want more. I want...everything you have." Davis couldn't help but smirk when she said that. He kissed her once more and threw her back on the bed. The two of them continued what they were doing. With it being just the two of them, they went on all night.
...
The Next Morning
As much as they felt things were sunshine and happy, it actually rained the next morning. As the rain patted against the windows, Kari and Davis just laid in the bed in the nude. The two of them just went on until they couldn't anymore. Kari was the first one up with her laying against Davis. Now that the moment has passed, Kari was thinking with a clear head. She actually loved what happened between her and Davis, but was it right. She gently slid her fingers against the side of his head like a feather. However, her mind was going a mile a minute and she wasn't sure she did the right thing. By the time Davis woke up, he could hear the sound of someone going out the door.
"Kari?" Davis questioned as he could see she and her clothes were gone. Kari just ran out of the house in the rain. She wasn't sure what to do. She and Davis have been friends for years, but never thought about getting intimate with him. Now that she has, she wasn't sure what to think.
"Kari! Wait!" Davis called as he chased after her once he got some clothes. "Where are you going? It's raining!"
"Davis, I'm sorry. I can't stay." Kari said as she looked like she was having an emotional breakdown. "It's not that I didn't love what happened. It was actually better than with T.K., but I'm not sure what to do. It was...fun, and so much more. Still, I don't know if I can." Kari wasn't sure what to think after all that happened, but Davis wasn't letting her go this time as he wrapped his arms around her.
"You can't leave!" Davis claimed. "Kari, I love you. I still have and always will. That's why I've been so distant, but I can't let you go now. I want you to stay. I want my home to be a home to you and Koji." He said with him kissing her again. Kari felt like it was where she belonged. Things might be fast, but she wants to stay. It felt like this is how things were meant to be.
"Take me home." Kari cried with her hugging him. Just then, everything vanished.
...
"Davis... Davis, wake up." Davis was starting to wake up in bed with Kari. He looked up and saw her over him.
"What's going on?" Davis questioned.
"You were dreaming. From what I could see, it was a really nice dream." Kari said as she lifted the sheets and Davis saw what happened.
"Oops." Davis said with embarrassment. The whole thing was nothing more than a dream. In reality, Kari was married to Davis all along with Koji being his son and the beach house being the one they live together.
"What were you dreaming about?" Kari questioned.
"Long story. Let's just say...it reminded me that you and I really are meant for each other." Davis said as he pulled his wife in and kissed her. That dream reaffirmed that things are just like how Davis wanted, like they were destined to happen this way. No matter what, nothing is going to keep these two apart. Once they got themselves out of bed, they made some breakfast for their kids before the kids went out with some friends.
"Bye, boys! You two have fun!" Kari called as she saw them off. Once they were gone, Davis lifted her up in her arms. "What are you doing?"
"I want to show you what I did to you in that dream." Davis said as he carried her back into THEIR house.
