Verosika loved her life.

It was such a big sentence despite being so short, and the reason why it meant to much to her was because of how shitty her existence was when she was ditched by Blitzo. The bleakness of those days, plus the uncertainities of life of being a solo artist, were burned away when she made that long-standing alliance with Alan.

Good kid, sweet kid. She wasn't exactly the kind of girl that would have skipped fresh meat to bed, but she held back from doing so for a couple of reasons when their partnership started- and that was because he helped her through her depression and gave her ideas that proved to be successful.

Up to that meeting and discovering how the Mortal Realm's idol culture was changing, Verosika's idea of rockstar was one stuck in the '80s', seeing it more as a job with many restrictions compared to the one she was living one. In hell, that drew mixed results and was the main reason for her difficult career. She made money, but it wasn't a safe source of income.

Then her breakup left her in a bad mindset to try and find a solution to it... which is where Alan's help proved to be life-saving. The first advice? Take a break from hell and work a career in the mortal realm.

This idea was a bit risky, but Verosika's documentation was spot-on if she decided to start which... she did. The Succubus took a very uneasy path into this, but realized almost immediately why this was better than how things were in hell: there were less regulations and she could 'cheat' a bit more if she was able to keep her hands clean before the police.

In less than just two months, Verosika Mayday was a rising star that dominated for numerous years through her brazen but still 'moderate' approach. The many times she had to go for 'anti-drugs campaigns' to support these causes left her in the 'bold but good-hearted' category for many fans. She was feisty, but never the sort of girl that would promote drugs. Actively.

Then the second idea came after the first one: use the money she was making from the humans to make her events in hell more appealing. That instantly got her giddy to give it a go and, much to her immense delight, the plan worked as intended. The best part was that it wasn't just legal, but also ignored by any competition as a viable tactic. She 'found' it, so she was going to 'keep' it as an idea.

More ideas came, and while a few didn't yield the expected the results, the aftermath of a few years of working her butt off to get where she was resulted in widespread recognition. And it was why the recent stunt she pulled against her ex leave a bigger stinging feeling to her than she would have preferred.

Verosika had promised herself that she would have not gone out of her way to fuck things up. And she had unpheld it until she found him. The bastard managed to rile her up too easily and she got close to get her work ruined by him. No, not again. She decided to reinvest in that promise and put a serious effort to forget Blitzo for the time being.

Therapy sessions would do, having ditched those just a few months ago when she thought she was doing fine- turns out her 'inner demons' were still knocking at her mind from time to time.

Her group was safe, she was safe... and Alan was still on her side. The 'kid' that became man because of her, both metaphorically and physically. It didn't take long that the recent successes bore the fruits of 'saving him' from his idiotic parents. Some magical-charming lead them to share a small flat for months and eventually the lewd nature of her species caught up to her and him both at once.

It was never much romantic to start with, but they had been together 'from the beginning of what is now Verosika Mayday' and it was special for them both. Verosika would never admit it in public, but Alan was more open about it and... it made her so stupid to think that it would end well to keep their relationship simple and monogamous.

She was a Succubus and she needed to fuck around and it felt stupid that her partner would just be skipping on that.

And it would be a lie to say that the clique was the only area he would have some intimacy with. Oh no, his first time beyond her was not some subordinate of them but actually their sponsor in the Greed Ring. The Goetia family was known to be a bit of a dysfunctional group, especially their leading family.

Stolas Goetia was known to have an imp lover, which saw him getting ostracized a lot. The looming divorce with his wife also made people even more annoyed at his 'selfish nature'. One thing is to be sinful in the private, another was being sinful for the sake of sappy shit. But it would also be a lie to say he was the one that 'cheated' first.

It all started with a rather simple plan- to just get close and tight with Stella Goetia for the sake of easier permissions to perform. Alan took care of the direct action and ended up getting a job well done in the first steps of that plan: he got her to agree for a date after pelleting her with compliments and some precise agreeing words to her awkward marriage life.

It was meant to be something to get her smitten or, at best, get her in a more agreeable position when it came to negotiating for permissions. The date-night proved to end in a very different situation. Alan never told her how he did it, or why he went this path as he was never the kind of guy that would prefer sex to the other alternatives but... he did it.

He sent her a picture right before the real fun started and... it was Stella Goetia in her Human form without a few layers of clothes and with a few jewels.

A bit of a catch-up chapter from Verosika's POV and the mention of something about the Goetia family. In this occasions, Alan is Stella's fuck-buddy which, while that may sound bad, actually made Via's situation better as her mother is less of a bitch with her itch scratched frequently. And this may result in some 'thank you' sex in the future.

Also, a bit of a non-chapter related news, I have published a new story in QQ and Royal Road called Kobold Emperor. It's my original take on a fantasy world where Kobolds have been mostly exterminated due to them once having a population growth pace akin to humans and... causing them to turn to the Demon Lord. Who was defeated and caused a bit of a 'secret magic project' to be abandoned for years... until an Insert ends up in the Kobolds' Boss's body and ends up leading them to a different path to the one promised by the long-dead big bad!
