Alan was deeply frowning when they arrived at destination, with Loona somewhat mimicking his expression as they had just finished chatting with an elderly man that was kind enough to answer their questions.

"But... why isn't Kansas City Kansas' main city?" Loona hummed, the two kids having a bit of a shared confusion on the matter, but managing to shrug it off when they started to check their current location.

The place was massive, but there were so few interesting activities to look into. First, they needed to eat something and they managed to get themselves some bagels to keep their bellies to feel the hunger, then, it was time for something to make money.

After all, they didn't exactly have much on themselves to keep on being on the run. They needed to make a profit while visiting the place and... there wasn't much to do there to make a quick buck or two. They looked left and right for any free openings for jobs they could do, but the owners all around just wanted to have adults to hire.

So... that sucked.

But they weren't willing to give up!

"What if we robbed a bank?" Loona suggested. "Like, it would just be a small bag. Not like a full-on heist."

Alan could only frown pensively at this. "But that wouldn't be right."

"...What if we robbed from someone that could be a bad guy?"

This time, Loona had a curious glint in her eyes as she offered this option and then expanded on this by bringing up one of the local papers she picked up earlier that day. The main title drew a long 'oh' from him as he realized what his friend was talking about.

Patriot Party's representative of Kansas City caught in investigation for potential fraud and blackmail! Police struggles to find proof of the crime and relies on limited clues.

"...Do you think he has something hiding in his security cabinet?"

Loona only smiled, a gesture copied by her human friend as they both plotted a strategy to do something about it. A few hours later, the local bank that was known to be affiliated to the corrupt politician suffered from a sudden case of blackout, causing all security systems to be down. The guards were vigilant through this moment as technicians were called to solve this.

Soon the lights were on and the power was back to fuel the rest of the devices inside the large building. No one suspected a break-in, but it wouldn't take too long for breaking news to raise the alarm when papers that had been safely hidden within the vault had been stolen and delivered to the police through anonymous means.

The proof was there for the law enforcers to use, with the politician lashing out in the ensuing days that the 'bank sold him out'. More lawsuits, more headaches and nobody was able to keep track of the fact a bag of money in that vault had been missing ever since that 'break-in'.

No one would suspect that the gym-bag that two kids were carrying around while taking the next bus to resume their travel was where the money had gone.

"My Lord, let me strike them down-"

"No! They are doing good work," God whined back at His silly child, Michael groaning at the absurd argument he was having with the deity.

"My Lord, the child and the demon have robbed a bank."

"Didn't Robin Hood do something like this? How come we have let him in Heaven?"

"He robbed from the rich to give to the needy, my Lord!" Michael stressed with some annoyance.

"Well, hear me out. They stole from a rich man twice, once to give proof to those that lacked it and then again to give themselves, poor people, money."

"It's a theft, my Lord!" The Archangel snapped and God huffed loudly.

"Gabriel, My Child, I am about to do Myself a favor and just pair you with Adam if you don't shut up!"

The whining got so strong and the threat utterly ludicrous that Gabriel backed down and just looked absolutely confused by this very exchange. Sure, God was always this rambuctious with people He deemed His 'Faves', but this was the first time He behaved so kindly around someone. Could it be because these two were children?

"Can I at least monitor them? Perhaps help them in their time of need?"

"If you can help them, sure. But don't you dare ruin My fun, Gabriel. Or I will just hurl you at Luci to do anything he wants of you for a full month."

The threat was received with a nod, but Gabriel was quite sure- he could steer these two in the path of good. Even if one of them was a hellhound. And, much to God's amusement and sole knowledge at the moment, that the other one was a boy with demonic ancestry.

Oh, that's going to be so... fun~!

Imagine being almighty and having something installed in your brain called 'pursuit of amusement' to kill off the 'boredom'. Endless but very flawed... like a human mind.
