~ The Wanted
Bella's POV
This feeling inside of me is nothing but emptiness. This emptiness I feel in my heart now that he has left me is immeasurable. It's just awful. The most awful thing that has ever happened to me. Fluff is missing after a mishap with one of the housekeepers who was fired from her job from listening to her music and not paying any attention to her surroundings. The manager had the entire staff scouring the hotel to find Fluff over the night. They went through every hotel room and floors, even the basement and still, they couldn't find her. Security tried to go through the video footages to see where Fluff could be but they couldn't find her after she took the ride on the cart. For all we know, Fluff could be outside the hotel, out in the city of Seattle, lost, hungry, and no doubt, scared.
How could I let this happen? What kind of dog-mom am I? Why didn't I just bring Fluff with me backstage over the idea of worrying Fluff could wander around and possibly be let loose? I am beyond worried of what's happening to my little girl. For all I know, she could be hurt, or worse! I can't bear the thought of something bad happening to my puppy. She's my baby. If anything happens to her, I don't know what I'll do without her.
It may have been that I only had Fluff for a short time, but it feels like I had her forever since I took her in. I raised that little puppy by myself; fed her, cleaned her, giving her lots of love, everything a dog needs. Every minute I was with her, I grew to love Fluff. And now, with her gone, I feel so empty. I don't think life will be the same without her.
"It's going to be okay, Bella." Rosalie said, patting my shoulder as my friends, Charlie and I were gathered around in the living room the next morning and still no news about Fluff.
"Don't worry, Bells," Charlie said as he pulls me close to him for comfort. "Fluff is going to be okay. She'll be back soon."
"But Fluff can't handle being by herself out on her own. She's only a baby." I said worriedly.
"Bella, I know this looks bad, and everyone is doing everything they can, but I promise you that Fluff will be okay." Alice said as she took my hand in hers. "I'm certain that she will be found sooner than you think."
"I just hope your so called feelings is right and that people don't recognized Fluff if they find her." Emmett said as he was eating cereal.
"Why would you think that, Emmett?" Jasper asked with a raised eyebrow.
"More to the question, when do you actually think?" Victoria asked, giving Emmett a weird look.
"I mean come on, Fluff could be now out in the streets, which is in the biggest cities of Washington," Emmett said causing me to panic at Fluff being lost and confused in the big cities. "Someone will find her but once they know who the owner is, they'll probably hold her hostage to get something out of Bella, or maybe they're probably dognapers out there to make money."
"Emmett, shut up!" Rosalie hissed, but Emmett didn't listened and went on like he didn't hear her.
"And even if Fluff isn't found, she's hopeless being around the city on her own." He continued on causing me to feel frantic. "She's a little dog without a clue in the word and could be faced with dogs twice her size –"
"NOT HELPING, MAN!" Jacob snapped in annoyance as Rosalie and Jasper both smacked Emmett in the back of the head.
"OW!"
"Ignore the big idiot over there, Bella." Jasper said as he gave my shoulder a squeeze. "We'll find Fluff. I'd say we go out and split up to search for Fluff. If we all go together in a group, it might draw attention to the media and the paparazzi will definitely get something out of it. I'll go with Alice, Rosalie will go with Emmett since she is the only who can keep him in line," Emmett had that offended look as if he was saying "Hey!" "And Bella can go with Victoria and Jacob. We don't want people get the wrong idea, again, seeing Bella alone with Jacob." He added as we all agreed.
"I'll come too." Charlie said as he stood up.
"Shouldn't you stay in case the hotel staff has found Fluff?" I asked.
"I could, but –"
"Where are you all going?"
"That's why." Charlie sighed when my mother came in.
"We're going out to find Fluff." Alice answered.
"Why?" Renee asked causing us to look at her in disbelief.
"Oh I don't know," Charlie said, putting it into thought. Though I saw the sarcasm in it. "Maybe because Fluff could be lost in the city and we have to find her before something happens to her?"
"Ugh, seriously?" Renee said in frustration. "You all are still moping about that dog? It's that thing's fault for wandering off on it's on. She might have found another owner by now. Just go get yourself another dog, Bella." She said like it was that simple.
At those words, everything inside me snapped. Just when I was about to do, I felt a hand on my shoulder from Jasper while Jacob held onto both of my arms, both glaring at my mother.
"On second of thought, you guys go ahead. I'll stay here." Charlie said as he had that angry look on his face, staring at Renee.
"Come on." Alice said calmly as my friends escorted me out of our hotel room. Just as we closed the door shut, there was shouting coming behind the door.
"Geez, Renee is such a bitch!" Emmett stated.
"Emmett!" Rosalie scolded him and was about to hit him but Emmett stopped her.
"What? You're saying that what she said just now isn't true?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
I hate to admit it, but Emmett is right. I just can't believe my own mother would be so insensitive about Fluff being missing! How could she be so heartless thinking I could replace Fluff? That's like moving on with having another kid thinking that would solve all problems. I get that my mother never approved of me taking Fluff in but did she had to be so cold about it? She's not the one taking care of my dog. Honestly, why is my mother being like this? The concert's over, we got nothing else to do until next month. Why is she still being so uptight and pushy? I wish I knew. But then again, she is my mother. Deep down, I still care about her and respect her for everything. I just wish she would just… lighten up about things. I don't know.
I didn't realized until I heard bell went on and saw that we were in the elevator and it opened up to where the lobby is.
"You three can search around in the hotel and ask the staff so that it doesn't get too suspicious to the media." Alice suggested to Jacob, Victoria and I. "The rest of us can look around outside. They won't question us as couples." And with that, she took Jasper's arm as those two and Rosalie and Emmett went out through the revolving door leading to the outside.
Outside where Fluff could possibly be.
"Come on, Bells." Jacob said gently as he placed a hand on my back and was guiding me. "Let's go find the little snowball." He said as we started looking around the hotel.
We couldn't find Fluff in the hotel. She was nowhere to be found. I held my phone hoping someone will call since my phone number was on Fluff's collar just in case of something like this. The staff has been keeping an eye out but they found nothing to report. The manager did promise that he will be on the lookout, stating that finding my dog is top priority. That, I feel grateful to know that there are people that you can rely on and are willing to do everything they can to satisfy the customers.
As the sun was setting, we return to our rooms to see Charlie in the living room watching football, Renee was nowhere to be see, possibly in her room. Fluff was nowhere to be seen as Charlie reported that no one has brought my dog back. Nor has anyone called the hotel about it. Hearing the news, I grew more worried than ever about Fluff seeing that she is now possibly out in the streets alone, cold and scared.
I couldn't eat throughout the day. Nor could I sleep either. I couldn't rest until I find Fluff. I wanted to go out again but my friends, Charlie as well, told me that it's too late outside and dangerous as well to go out. Not with the paparazzi out there waiting for a scoop. I argued with them that I didn't care and that I wouldn't rest until Fluff was found, but it ended up in failure seeing that it was one against seven. By nightfall, I was in my bed, but I wasn't sleeping. There was no way I could just sleep without my little companion. Even looking through the photos of Fluff wouldn't help. Seeing them, I broke down and cried seeing that I may have lost my dog forever.
The next morning wasn't any different. Actually, I wouldn't know since I stayed in bed since I woke up. I can hear the voices outside my room but I never bothered to get up.
That's when without a knock, the door opened and in came my best friend who waltzed in and yanked the covers off of me.
"Alright, get your ass off of bed, right now!" She said.
"I don't want to." I grumbled as I turned away, not leaving my bed.
"Too bad." Alice said. "It's already afternoon, you haven't eaten breakfast and you're still in bed like you haven't slept at all."
"Gee, I wonder why?" I muttered sarcastically.
"Look Bella, I know you're upset over Fluff, but I promise you that she will be okay. We will find her. The guys already went out to look for her, Charlie included. Only Jasper and I stayed behind to take care of you." Alice explained.
"How can you be so sure? Can you see the future or something?" I asked, turning my head facing her.
"No, but wouldn't that be something!" Alice said excitedly causing me to sigh as I turned away. "Okay enough of this! You get off the bed this instant and shower. No offense bestie, but you reek. Can't have you looking for Fluff and have the media give you a bad look if you look like crap. Do it now, and you know better than to ignore me."
I sighed again, but this time knowing Alice has won this battle. You can't win a fight against her. I thought as I got up, defeatedly.
"Good," Alice said happily. "Now get in the showers and after that, Jasper is making something for you to eat. Then we can all go look for Fluff."
I didn't say anything as I walked myself into the bathroom before closing the door behind me. I don't see the point in showering. All I care is for Fluff to be home. I don't care if I look like a homeless person, I just want Fluff back. I sighed as I wiped a tear from my eyes before I started to undress myself.
Alice's POV
Poor Bella. She's really grieving over Fluff. In all my years being friends with Bella, I've never seen her like this. Not at all. I know she's deals a lot with her mother, but Bella always pulls through, keeping her head up. Now with losing her dog, that hit Bella hard.
I don't know what made Fluff ending up in that housekeeper's house. She was stupid to not notice the puppy. I just should've suspected that something were to happen to Fluff when we left her in the room. I mean, I don't think the puppy could handle the loud noises at the concert. If only I knew where Fluff is. I have this strong feeling she is okay. I don't know how to describe it but I can always feel it. It always tells me something but not what it is. My friends may think I'm crazy but I'm positive when it comes to my "feelings." They're always spot on. I just make it better. I just hope we find Fluff soon because at the state Bella's in, who knows if Bella will be the same Bella we know and love.
After I finally got Bella to get out of bed and go shower because she smells, the minute I heard the water turn on, a phone rang interrupting my thoughts. It wasn't mine though, it was Bella's as it was ringing on her nightstand. I went over to it and saw on screen it was an unknown number calling her. I wasn't sure if this was someone who has found Fluff but demands something in return, or it could He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Whoever it was, I have to take action just in case for Bella's safety.
I reached over to grab her phone, and cleared my throat to put on my voice acting skills to the test before my audition for this animated movie.
"Hello?" I answered in a different voice based on this character I'm trying out for.
It was a boy that answered. "Hello? Yeah I'm calling because I found your dog."
I gasped, nearly dropping my acting voice. "You found my friend's dog?"
"Wait, this isn't your dog?" He asked in confusion.
"No, no, she's my best friend's dog. She's been missing for two days. My friend was so devastated that she was such a mess worrying about her dog since she's only a puppy. Is she okay?" I asked.
"The dog? Yeah, she's perfectly fine. I just gave her a bath and I'm about to find her some food for her to eat." He answered.
Oh thank goodness Fluff is found safe and sound! Bella will be so relieved when she hears the good news. And judging by the conversation with this guy, he doesn't seem like the type of persona to demand something in return from Bella. I don't think he even knows Fluff is Bella's dog.
"Well thank you so much for finding her. Where are you guys at?" I asked.
"I live on Riverdale Road." I was racking my brains to know where that is.
"Where's that at?" I asked in confusion since I never heard of it.
"Forks.
"Forks? Really?!" I asked in complete shock. "That dog really went that far?" I muttered. How the hell did a little puppy ended up in the city of Forks, all the way from Seattle?
"Where are you guys at?" The guy asked.
"We're in Seattle, but I'll tell my friend the good news and she'll come by to pick her dog up. Who is this by the way?" I asked. Please don't let it be some creepy weirdo.
"This is Edward, Edward Cullen." At those words, everything just like… stopped!
"Edward Cullen?" My mouth was hanging open. I didn't say a thing after that.
The Edward Cullen?! Surely not that guy! The famous football player we saw at the game last week, sang with Bella at her concert, the same Edward who Bella is definitely in love with, that Edward Cullen?! Of all the places Fluff would go to, and out of one million people that could find her, it had to be Edward Cullen?! I mean I knew that Fluff would be found, but I never thought she could be found by the Edward we know.
This… this is big!
"Uh, are you still there?" The guy asked making me forget I was on the phone with him.
"Oh yeah, sorry, my boyfriend was telling me something. Anyway, my friend is in the showers but when she's done, I'll let her know you have her dog. Just text the address with the number you're calling." I said.
"Okay." I hung up so fast just when he that one word but I didn't care. I was too excited for this as I pulled out my phone and started texting everyone. Fluff being found is only the second good news!
Bella's POV
This was pointless. I didn't see the point of me taking a shower. I don't care what the media makes out of me. I just want Fluff. Every second spent, is more where I feel like Fluff is further away from my reach to find her. For all I know, she's miles away from the city. Who knows where she is now and what she's doing. Is she okay? She's only a puppy and she needs to eat. What if she gets hurt? What if someone kidnaps her? I can't rest until I find Fluff. I don't care about my work. I'm not stopping until I know Fluff is safe and sound and back where she belongs.
I just put on some fresh clothes and got out of the bathroom when the door to my room was burst open by Alice who came in with a smile on her face. Does she ever knock before coming in?
"Oh good, you've freshen up!" She said happily as I frowned. There was also something up from the look on her face as she looks super excited about something. "Do I have some good news!"
"Unless it's about Fluff being found, I don't want to hear about it." I said dejectedly.
Alice's expression changed into a look that says, "No fair!" "Man, you're taking away all the fun out of it for me." She pouted causing me to be confused at what she meant. "Someone has found Fluff!" She announced causing me to gasp.
"Really?!" Please tell play with me. Then again, I know Alice too well for her to lie to me.
"Yes! He found her today and took her in." Alice smiled.
"Where is she?! Is she alright?! When can I see her?!" I asked, coming up to her while making a grab on Alice's arm. Can you blame me? I look like I was desperate.
"Slow down girl, you'll see Fluff soon." Alice said as she pulled me off of her. "Fluff is okay. The guy fed her and gave her a bath. He's sending the address for you to meet with him. So there's no need to be in a rush."
I took a deep breath, apologizing along the way. I'm just so relieved that Fluff is found safe and sound. I am forever grateful to the person who has found her. I am forever in his debt.
I was about to tell Alice that I will leave right now, but she stopped me.
"Hold on, that's not the only great news." Alice said with the biggest smile on her face.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"The person who has found her is Edward Cullen!" Alice said excitedly.
At those words, I was stunned.
Edward? Edward Cullen found Fluff? Fluff is in Forks? Fluff is with Edward? Edward has Fluff? No… no way. I don't believe it. Fluff is found by none other than Edward Cullen. How did that happen? Does it actually matter? Because somehow I was given once again another chance to see Edward. First, to see him in action at his football game, then to sing with him at my concert and now this? How does this even happen? At this moment, I was feeling the butterflies in my stomach while having a smile growing on my face.
"Okay Bella, I know that look and don't worry. I told Edward that you'll be come over. I'll give you space now so you can get ready." Alice said and left my room. The second she did, I started getting dressed.
I might have been rushing but I didn't care as I was getting ready. I was somehow really excited about this. Not only will I be reunited with Fluff, but I'll also get to see Edward again. I still don't get how Fluff came all the from Seattle to Forks, but what matters is that she's safe. But I'm also happy to the fact that I will see Edward again. I feel like someone answered my prayers to Fluff and they decided to bring me to her by someone I know even for a short period of time. Or somehow, Fluff must have probably tried to bring me to Edward. I don't see how. She's only a puppy. Well, it doesn't matter, Edward has Fluff, and I guess it's what they say, kill two birds with one stone.
After I was done getting ready putting on a pair of dark jeans and a light grey hoodie and putting my hair in a ponytail, I left my room and came to the living room to see my friends and Charlie waiting for me.
"You go ahead and retrieve Fluff. It'll be less suspicious if you go alone." Alice explained.
"Forks is a small city, so we're certain the paparazzi won't even think to find you there." Jasper said.
"Just be careful over there, okay." Rosalie said with a smile.
"Yeah, now go bring back the little furball!" Emmett said.
"And let us know how Edward is like. I'm curious to know." Victoria said, wiggling her eyebrows causing me to playfully roll my eyes.
"Unless it's about how Edward is as a football player, we don't wanna know." Jacob said and then turned to me. "But let us know what he's like, Bells." He smiled.
I nodded and came over to Charlie.
"Be safe out there, sweetie. And give Fluff a hug and kiss for me." He said.
"I will daddy." I said.
"And uh, let me know how Edward is. I mean, I… I just wanted to be sure… what kind of guy… he is." Charlie said, not making eye contact as he scratched the back of his head causing me to giggle.
I said goodbye to everyone as I left the room. I made my way into the elevator, and I hit the button to my next destination, I pulled out my phone to see I got a text message. Although it was an unknown number, I know it was.
This is my address where I live. Let me know when you're coming over to pick up your dog.
And there underneath it was the address where Edward lives.
I smiled as the fluttering in my stomach came again seeing that Edward texted me.
Thanks so much! I will be there soon in like an hour or so. :)
Edward responded as I arrived at the lobby and left the elevator. I made my way into the parking lot where I got a rental car. Once I punched in the address and got the coordinates, I shift the car in gear and left the parking lot, entering the road before hitting the freeway.
It was only an hour drive but it didn't matter to me. All I could think about was being able to see Edward again. Look at me, obsessing over Edward. I feel like a fangirl now. Looks like I know what it's like being a big fan of someone. Maybe I get why Emmett and Jacob are crazy about him, but not the way I feel. I didn't know how I made it without noticing, but I was arriving in Forks and was driving through the city. Surprisingly it was sunny and I guess you would see quite a lot of people wandering around. Seeing that, I put on my sunglasses and pulled up my hoodie to avoid being detected. Finally, I arrived at a nice neighborhood and I was stunned when I pulled up on the driveway in front of a three story house.
Okay, I know I live in a big mansion, but this house that is supposedly be where Edward lives, looks way superior to my home, even if this one does looks to be a smaller home. This home looked timeless, graceful and looked like was upgraded to today's modern world of housing and yet it has that appearance like it was made hundreds of years ago. It was painted a soft blue grey, three stories tall and the width of it is like the size of our front entrance back in L.A. And either the windows and doors were part of it or they did a nice job reconstructing it. Exactly what does Edward's parents even do for a living? Are his family actually famous themselves?
I shook myself from my thoughts before I exited my car. I couldn't help but feel excited, but also nervous with each step as I walked up to the front door. Honestly, why am I feeling like this? I'm just here to pick up Fluff along with seeing Edward. This is nothing like how I feel every time I'm about to perform on stage. I arrived at the front door and rang the doorbell as I took off my sunglasses.
"Wait! I wanna give her something so that she'll remember me. Don't let her go yet!" A voice of a little girl was heard and I recognized it as the voice of Edward's little sister.
That's when I heard another voice spoke. This time, from a woman. "No running in the house!" There was something about that woman's voice. I don't mean as in I recognize her, it was how it was spoken. Even though she was yelling, it sounded so… soft and… angelic like. It sounded so… welcoming.
Then, I heard another voice coming from behind the front door. "I'm sorry, I wish you could stay as well, but your owner is here and ready to take you back home." I was beaming as my heart was filled with warmth that is was Edward's voice and how he was speaking to Fluff. This boy is truly pure of heart.
The door opened as I saw none other than Edward who was smiling when he came out and lifted his head up and saw me when he stopped.
"Hello Edward!" I greeted him with a big smile on my face. Just seeing Edward in person again made my heart jump for joy. He looks just amazing in just a pair of faded jeans while wearing a light grey button down short sleeve shirt that's opened up to show a plain white tee underneath. Even his messy hair made him look good. There's just something about Edward Cullen that made him so attractive.
Edward, however, didn't say hello to me when I spoke. He didn't even respond at all. All he did was stared at me, like he was in shock. For a moment, I thought that maybe there was someone behind me and I was afraid it was the paparazzi that followed me. But before I could turn around and see,
"… Um, can I get a minute here?" He said and then gently closed the door on me before I could say anything, leaving me out here all confused.
Okay what the hell? I thought as I just stood here after what has happened. What was that all about? From the looks of it, Edward was not expecting to see me at all. Didn't he knew I was coming?
"YOU'RE BELLA'S DOG!" I jumped when I heard Edward squealed from the other side.
I guess not. I'm going to kill that little pixie for making me look like a fool in front of Edward. I thought, just as the door opened again by Edward.
"Hello Bella." Edward said to me, sounding like he hadn't freaked out at all as he looked like he was trying compose himself. Before I could say anything, I heard a bark and I looked to see who it was in Edward's arms causing my eyes to lit up.
"Oh thank you so much for finding my baby!" I said as Edward handed my dog into my arms. "Oh Fluff, are you okay? You had mommy worried sick. Don't you ever run off from me ever again." I said as I gave Fluff some kisses before she started licking my face making me so happy to have Fluff safe in my arms. "I can't believe you were able to find her." I said to him.
"Y-Yeah, my sister and I were walking home when we found her wandering around in our neighborhood." Edward said. "I didn't noticed that this was your dog."
"Yeah, well as you can see, Fluff did had a purple ribbon tied to her ear which she lost when she went missing." I explained while scratching Fluff's ear to show Edward the place where the ribbon is no longer on it. "I'm surprised at how she made it all the way here in Forks."
"I wonder that as well." Edward said, looking at Fluff while my dog was being all happy as she was looking at Edward. Oh what does it matter how. All that matters is that she's back in my arms and I'm face to face with Edward. "Oh um, would you like to come inside?" He asked.
I nearly burst out an immediate yes of his offer as I smiled. "Sure."
Edward stepped aside, permitting me to be inside his home as I entered inside with Fluff in my arms. The minute I stepped foot inside, I was amazed at how it looks. If I thought the exterior was amazing, the interior backs it up. It's very bright and so opened, and very large as well. Edward was just by my side and I barely had ten seconds to look examine the place when a high pitch scream erupted. Edward is lucky to cover his ears, but I wasn't as I was protecting Fluff's little ears with my free held as I held her leaving my ear exposed to the loud volume.
In all my years as a celebrity, I've dealt with many screaming fans. Everywhere I go, our tour, interviews, fan meetings, fans always scream when they see me. And that's over millions of fans in one place, but none of them can beat out the screaming of one little girl who is screaming at the top of her lungs as I was able to see her at the top of the staircase. Her screaming caused numerous photo frames on the walls to crack at once while the vase exploded with water as the yellow and orange roses fell down.
"BELLA!" Renesmee cried as she dashed down the stairs so fast and then ran into me for a hug so fast that she nearly knocked the wind out of me. I'm surprised she didn't trip herself down the stairs.
"Hello Renesmee, it's so good to see you again." I smiled as I returned the hug with one arm.
"What are you doing here?" Renesmee asked, lifting her head up to look at me as I saw in her eyes as if they like a Christmas tree being lit up.
"I came to pick up my dog you guys found." I answered.
"This is your dog?!" Renesmee gasped.
"Yes, say hello to Fluff." I smiled as I got down on Renesmee's level and then held Fluff up to Renesmee's face. "Fluff, would you like to thank Nessie here for helping you?" Fluff started off by licking Renesmee's nose and then everywhere on her face causing her to giggle.
"Hehehe, Fluff, stop, that really tickles!" She said as Fluff continues to lick her face while I chuckled to see how much Fluff likes her. I pulled Fluff back as I stood up and then turned to Edward.
"How about a thank you for Edward?" I said holding Fluff right into his face. The second I said that, Fluff went in and was licking Edward's face so furiously.
"Whoa, okay, okay, you're welcome. Stop, stop, stop!" Edward chuckled while trying to push Fluff away from him but Fluff ignored it and continues licking Edward as much as she could.
"Wow, she really likes you guys. You must have taken good care of her." I said in amazement. Fluff never warms up to people she meets so easily, especially to men. It took weeks for Fluff to get used to men she comes across so often, including Charlie. And yet, she is okay with Edward even after a day.
"I think liking is an understatement." Edward said as he now has his hand shielding him from Fluff's licking.
"Uh…" Fluff finally stops licking and I turned around to see a woman there, standing there as she looked at us in surprised.
I was blown away at the sight of this woman. It wasn't just the fact at how beautiful she is, it was something about her facial of a heart-shape with a warm compassionate look that fits right with her soft caramel-colored hair as her figure looked slender that was less angular and rounded. Her appearance was like seeing a Disney princess come to life, Snow White in the flesh. I can see where Edward and Renesmee get their looks from.
"Um, Bella, this our mother Esme. Mom, I believe you know who this is." Edward said, introducing me to his mother causing me to feel completely nervous being at the presence of his mother.
"Um, hello Mrs. Cullen. It's nice to meet you." I said as I bit my lip and lowered my head a bit. Can you blame me for how I'm acting? I feel so beneath his mother and I only just met her.
"You're Bella Swan?!" Esme asked me in complete shock.
"Um, yeah." I said nervously.
"Charlie Swan's daughter?!"
"That would be correct." I slowly nodded. I guess that's not surprising since Charlie is admired by many women, including those his age.
"You're that Bella on the big poster my son has in his room?" Esme asked. At those words, my insecurities went away a bit. Edward has a poster of me? I thought as my thoughts were all giddy seeing how big of a fan Edward is.
Edward started sputtering from what his mom said. "I-I-I do not have a poster of Bella in my room." He said as he turned to me while I was giggling at his reaction.
"Yeah you do, you even have a big cardboard of her as well." Renesmee said. Oh this just got even more interesting. I thought as I saw Edward's face turning red.
"T-That's Demetri's. He doesn't want Heidi knowing about it." He said as he looked away while scratching the back of his head.
"But –"
"Nessie, didn't you wanna give Fluff something before she leaves?" Edward asked, turning his head.
"Oh yeah, here!" Renesmee said as she held up two small animal dolls. "They're for you so that she won't forget me." She explained to me as she handed her the dolls.
"Why thank you Nessie, although I'm sure Fluff would never forget you, not after how you found and took care of her for me." I smiled, accepting the toys.
"Oh, this is your dog?" Esme asked as she came over to us.
"Yes, Fluff is my dog and it's thanks to your children that my dog is safe and sound. I said as I looked at both Edward and Renesmee, my two saviors of my baby "Anyway, I can't thank you guys enough for finding Fluff and taking good care of her. I really want to give you an award for it."
"Oh, n-no, Bella, w-we couldn't take your money." Edward said, looking flabbergasted. "You already allowed us to sing with you at your concert."
"No, no, you don't understand how much this means to me." I said. "I was so devastated when I lost Fluff. I almost ripped my mother a new a-… a new one for thinking I should just go buy a new dog." I explained while saving myself from cussing in front of a child. "I thought I lost Fluff forever if it wasn't for you guys. I really want to repay you as my way of saying thanks. Anything you want, just name it." I'll even go out with you, Edward if that's what you want. I thought.
Wait, did I actually thought that?
"R-Really Bella, just seeing you again is just an honor." Edward said nervously.
"No, that's not enough in my book, Edward. This is about my baby who is my whole world here. I know Fluff would say the same thing." I said as Fluff happily gave out a bark.
"Well Bella, I'm sure my children have a lot posters, magazines and photos they all have in their rooms they would love for you to sign. Most of them are Edward's." Esme suggested. There, I saw Edward give his mother a glare that looked like he was saying, "You're not helping me!"
"Oh I'm sure I can give out more than just a few autographs. Please? There must be something I could do to repay you guys. Anything you want. I mean anything." I said that sounded like I was begging.
Well I am. They don't understand what I went through when I lost Fluff. If it wasn't for this family, who knows how I'll be if Fluff was no longer in my life. As a celebrity, there are people who are willing to ask you for favors because you have the money and fame along with the connections of Hollywood life which means they would take advantage of you for it. That's why I was taught to not let people walk all over you. You can find ways to brush it off to the best you can without hurting other's feelings. Right here though, I'm willing to give these people anything. I'm in their debt.
"I know!" Renesmee announced having our attention on her and I saw an excitedly look on her face. "You can come to my birthday party this Saturday!" She said.
"Oh, your birthday's this Saturday?" I asked interestingly. I didn't know her birthday is close to mine.
"No, it's Friday but we're having a party on Saturday. My friends and all the kids in my class will be there. You can come too!" Renesmee said, smiling big.
"Oh sweetie, that's nice of you, but I'm sure Bella's busy and has to go somewhere." Esme said, having an unfortunate look on her face.
"Actually, I had my final concert in Seattle and I only got a few interviews and meetings next month while the production of the sequel of To All The Boys I Loved Before doesn't start until next year. Which means I'm free for this month, so I would love to come to your party." I smiled as she turned to the little girl.
"Really?!" Renesmee said like she couldn't believe it.
"Yes, on one condition," I said to her. "I'll go if you and your brother come to my birthday party on Sunday." I smiled causing Renesmee to squeal as she hugged me so tightly.
"Can we go there, please?!" Renesmee begged her mother. Yes, please say yes, Mrs. Cullen. I thought.
"Well as long as Edward is there and keeps an eye on her, then I can't say no." Esme smiled as she looks at her son. Yay!
"Ye-Ye," Edward cleared his throat before saying, "We would love to." He said causing Renesmee to squeal making me smile big.
"Is it okay I bring some of my friends to the party? I'm sure they'd love to come." I asked.
"Of course they can, Bella. The more the merrier." Esme smiled.
"Okay, well, just let me know the time and place. You can run it to Edward, he has my number after all." I smiled to him.
Edward looked confused for a moment until I saw his eyes widened so big. It was then I remembered that he wasn't aware that he found Fluff as he was contacting me by my number.
"Well, it was great seeing you guys, and it's nice meeting you Mrs. Cullen. I'll see you on Saturday. I can't wait." I said, smiling as I made sure Fluff is secured in my arms before I made myself out the door.
Once I closed the door behind me and was outside, I looked at Fluff with a stern expression. "You are in a lot of trouble for wandering off like that." I said to her. I then looked around and saw no one around and turned back to Fluff. "But thank you!" I said to her happily before I took her with me in the car.
Saturday couldn't come sooner enough.
Hello everyone! Happy New Years! I am so sorry again about the delay, again. I know I said that numerous times but what did you expect since I had a lot going on in my life. That doesn't mean I stopped writing for good such as leaving the stories unfinished. I haven't forgotten them. I've been juggling around with my fanfiction life. With these stories, my fandom website and the podcast I wanted to do, I wasn't sure what to do. That's why I needed to prioritize things. So with that, I WILL be continuing Into You and Light Me Up and have them both finish. Then after that, I will work on the podcast and website before any other stories that comes to mind. I will post one more chapter of Light Me Up before I put this on hiatus and go back to finishing up Into You. I hope you guys are okay with this. I am not one of those writers who leaves stories a WIP and left it there for years later. That's my biggest pet peeve for fanfiction.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter and I will be seeing you guys soon! Please review.
