What gave an organization legitimacy? That was an easy answer for traditional organizations. Government and Infrastructure. But what about organizations which were either beyond the two?

I am obviously talking about the legitimacy of Kamar-Taj. Out of the eight billion souls on the planet, I would be surprised if even a thousand outside of Kamar-Taj knew of its existence or the role it had played in Earth's history. That's why I was thinking about organizations and legitimacies.

In my not-so-humble opinion, it were three simple factors that did. Wealth, Tradition and Loyalty. Neither factor alone was enough for projecting what I wanted so I had to look at incorporating all three into the impression I wanted to make with the couple I was here to meet and the other supers who would no doubt be looking at me.

I had to do it all while sticking to the vaguely magical theme I had put forward so I could not just go and show off my new magi-tech golems.

I had assumed wealth would be the easiest. Show off some of Kamar-Taj's incredible wealth by arriving in something—you know, wealthy. We had everything from opulent chariots to palanquins all ready for me to refresh their enchantments and take off with. However, the problem with all the options that I had was that—they were all too gaudy.

Like way too many cultural artefacts, they were decked in too much gold to use it without feeling like a pompous asshole.

I had to also make certain that whatever I pick will show the marks of tradition necessary for the viewers to believe that this was indeed a long-living establishment. And for the sake of showing off loyalty (And because almost no one there would pass on a chance to see Captain America), I was also bringing a few of Kamar-Taj's disciples.

So what did I pick? What passed all the criteria I had set out for myself? Did I cave and just create a portal or did I let a portal speak for itself?

Wanda.

"Vision, Wanda, do you copy? We've arrived at the location," Captain America's voice came through the communicator.

Wanda responded, "Copy that, Cap."

"Still can't believe we are here to arrest Dumbledore." Falcon intervened.

Cap's voice was stern, "We're not here to arrest or detain anyone. We have no authority to do so, and Doctor Strange hasn't given us a reason to be hostile. Our only objective is to remain vigilant in case of a trap. I prefer to not even hear them speak. Keep a low profile and stay out of sight."

"Copy that." Falcon and Black Widow spoke in unison. Wanda felt like those three were the ones that worked the best together in Avengers. Military guys stuck together after all.

They were waiting at an abandoned train stop. Not a single soul besides themselves visited the area. Vision had chosen it himself.

As they waited for their Quarry. Falcon bored of the radio silence started making small talk.

"I bet he comes in a magic train," Falcon said.

"We all know how much you like your kid's stories, Sam," Natasha replied, amusement in her voice.

Falcon chuckled. "How does the big strong girl think a mage, sorry, a sorcerer is going to come?"

"There is no magic, Sam. It's all smoke and mirrors," Natasha replied, the dismissiveness and disbelief clear in her voice.

"You are not going to tell me that he will hitch an uber ride to get here," Falcon spoke.

"I guess he'll just show off the powers he already has. I'm fairly certain he can teleport from the footage we saw," Widow added.

"I guess, but let me believe, Natasha. Cap, Vision, Wanda, what do you think?" Falcon asked.

There was a moment of silence before Vision spoke up. "I'm expecting him to make his appearance on larger techno-organic mounts than he had shown off. It would be the obvious escalation and will still remain within what has been shown."

Falcon nodded. "That's pretty good."

Wanda was too nervous to participate in the conversation. She couldn't see Sam, Natasha, or Cap, but she could hear them through her earpiece. The letter had implied that she didn't have powers from that stone or from any of the cruel experiments. She wanted to believe, yet...

She thought that her obvious distress was one reason Falcon had started this conversation. Vision's hands wrapped around her as she stood there.

"Whatcha thinking, Captain?" Falcon asked.

"I think it will be some sort of combination of all your answers," Cap said, surprising everyone.

It was clear that Falcon wasn't really expecting Captain Rogers to answer his silly question. This time it was Wanda who asked, "Why do you think that will be the case?"

"Are you perhaps seeing some sort of a tactical advantage in a mixed approach?" Vision added.

"Because I want to believe that all of you will be correct," Cap answered, his sincerity shining through.

The line went dead at his unashamed sincerity. Though only he was the unashamed one. Wanda brightened at how corny it sounded. She wanted to laugh but only found herself smiling at what he had said.

It wasn't long before they arrived, and Wanda found out that everyone was correct, except for Falcon, who had gotten the premise right but not the execution. They were the ones who had chosen the setting after all.

Wanda watched as the sky rippled and shimmered with an otherworldly energy, and a feeling of anticipation hummed through her body. She couldn't see the others besides Vison who was also enraptured by the sight, but she could hear their excited and cautious whispers in her earpiece, and she felt the tension in their voices.

As the portals began to open, Wanda felt a faint pulse of power that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. No one else seemed to be sensing it. She couldn't quite make out what was coming through the portals at first, but as they drew closer, she saw that they were people dressed and looking like monks flying on rich traditional-looking eastern carpets.

Sorcerers.

There were at least 10 sorcerers on carpets, and she could sense that they were powerful. She didn't know if she believed that they were what they claimed, but as she watched and felt, she began to feel a link between them, a sense of shared energy and purpose. Different but closer to herself than anyone else besides her brother and Vision she had found.

Then, one largest sorcerers arrived on a techno-organic giant bird, confirming Vision'sguess. Wanda's eyes widened at the sight of the majestic bird of steel and if she was right in her feeling, flesh and—magic.

That sorcerer was the first and only to Land.

But it was the last to arrive who caught her attention the most. Dr Strange, as per the name he had apparently given Stark, dressed in the same costume as in the video they had reviewed with his flowing red cape billowing behind him.

He flew through the portal and came to rest in front of her and Vision. As he moved, it felt like time itself was shifting and bending around him. Everything he did caused a ripple but she didn't know what the ripple was being made in. It didn't take too long before both her and her boyfriend sent the signals they had practised to let everyone else know that this was the real deal.

Vision

Vision wanted to know about the medallion around the Sorcerer's neck. He wanted to know how more of his—kind was made. He wanted to know if Strange was going to hurt his girlfriend. He wanted to know why Strange and the surrounding sorcerers were the first group of people he had seen whose thoughts were entirely theirs.

Yes, saying that Vision was a ball of unasked questions would be an understatement. So much he wanted to know and learn but if Vison was something, he was patient.

He gave an appropriate bow as he greeted the man.

"Dr Strange, Sorcerer Supreme, forgive me if I get the greetings wrong. I could not find a reference to your title anywhere. We are here to have that meeting you had proposed."

"Don't worry about a ceremony you had no chance of finding out anything about. You will be doing us a favour as much as we will be doing you one. The only ceremony I would stand on is that I would like to have all participants at the meeting grounds. Remember I come to do no harm."

Vision could sense three thought forms around him. Obviously, they were not happy at being found out. Neither was his girlfriend from the forrow in her eyebrows.

Girlfriend. Love. A concept that had taken him relative ages to understand but one he would now protect with his life.

"Oh come on guys, you had a giant Quin-Jet parked over there and you expected us to not notice?"

Vision could have sworn that it was in stealth mode. He said as much.

"I have more senses than one." Strange spoke with a slight wink and he heard the curses coming from the communicators.

"But you have all these, carpets floating above. Wouldn't you think that's a little unfair for a recruitment meeting if that's what this is?" Asked his girlfriend.

Strange rolled his eyes. Vision was expecting more of a spiritual leader from the title than the person he was seeing in front of him. Though that might be the result of reading too many human novels.

"Guys, you heard her." Strange spoke, seemingly to his entourage.

"But I want to see Captain America." Spoke and accented voice.

"And I wanna see the Widow." Another voice added.

"It's a shame, you will have to wait. At least no one's sad they didn't get to meet Falcon." Strange said with a shrug.

But before they could leave a voice shouted in the distance to wait. It was from where Captain had been maintaining position. But before he could continue down came Sam Wilson, The Falcon in all his glory.

"That's just plain rude."

He smiled.

Captain America

Steve and his team walked forward to meet the self-professed sorcerer. Strange had bought an entire team of people with him. Steve had to ask himself why?

However, since Steve was Steve, he took the easiest way to get that answer.

"Welcome Strange. We were planning to only observe from a distance. I hope you understand."

"I do. I was actually hoping you would. My main business is with Wanda and Vision but I had reasons to talk to you guys as well. If it's not too rude, can I ask why I am not seeing two of your teammates I was also expecting?"

Strange was referring to Bucky and Hawkeye. Steve dearly hoped that the question was of simple curiosity and that whatever strange had in plan for them would not be anything objectionable.

"I hope you won't insist on an answer. I would like to keep that knowledge to myself."

There wasn't a beat missed before strange answered.

"Understood." He nodded and continued. "Before we start I want you to know that I am not just an independent actor. I am part of an organization, a group of people dedicating their lives to keep the world safe."

"Sounds an awful lot like what we do. Is that why you guys have Aladdin carpets?" Asked Falcon eying the carpets the sorcerers had ridden on.

"That and a whole lot more. We call ourselves the Sorcerers of Kamar-Taj. I am here with a group of my sorcerers to prove that I am not speaking hocus pocus when I say that Magic exists."

This statement was aimed at Wanda.

"Should we do something magic-y, boss?" Asked the happiest-looking guy riding the magical flying carpets. Steve knew of them as old tales from certain parts of the world. He had to admit that if the point of bringing all of them was to show them magic exist then the carpets were doing an admirable Job.

"Does any of you want to see anything to believe or can we move on to why?" Asked strange.

There were head nods all around except for—Falcon who had a question.

"Can you turn into a cat?"

"What a curious thing to miss exploring. No—I have not looked into animal transformation magic."

Strange spoke as if that was something you could just learn. And even crazier, Steve believed Strange could. He shook his head.

"I hope to see that later. But for now, I am certain my friends want to know why they were sent that letter." Steve said pointing at an eager Wanda and Vision.

"It's exactly what I said on the letter. A position as a teacher and a student at Kamar-Taj, or more specifically the Canadian branch of Kamar-Taj. We are calling it The Frozen Dome."

"I have no idea what you just said," Sam replied. Steve appreciated how he knew exactly when to ask questions so he didn't have to.

Strange brightened up as if he was waiting for those words.

"Might as well as show you"

Strange waved his hands and a hole in reality opened up. A—portal large enough to block the sky showed a new horizon. Through it, he watched rows and rows of buildings—wooden but well kept lining up in front of him. People, far little for the number of buildings there walked around the streets. But that just wasn't what stood out the most. Far from it.

There were occasional giants that walking through the streets. Carrying water, building supplies, walking with purpose. Some were even preparing food if he was right. There seemed to be one for each household. They looked like humanoid versions of the bird the one sorcerer was riding. "Techno-organic" or whatever that meant. But he had a better word for it as he stared at the servile beings.

Golems.

He looked up at the new horizon that the portal had bought forth. At the falling snow that halted at the edges of the bubble. At the snowfall that slowed as it approached it. His mind rebelled at comprehending it but he pushed through. He was made of sterner stuff than that.

"If you guys wouldn't mind, we can have rest of the talk at The Frozen Dome."

No one raised an objection even when there were reasons. Security, trust and even the Quinjet that they couldn't just leave there. But no one wanted to say no.

All because they all wanted to see magic.

Stephen

Showing them around the dome and watching their jaws drop was incredibly cathartic not just for me but the people around us. Kamar-taj students and even elders kept swarming us because they heard that the Avengers were going to be there. I teleported them along with the Quinjet to safe locations.

We sat in the Sorcerer Supreame's quarters. It was me, Wong and the Avengers. I had left rest of the disciples outside. They had done their job and they all got magic carpets out of the deal. I had to build them those and teach them how to fly them, time wasn't an issue for us any longer so it had gone pretty smoothly.

"So, you've seen some of Kamar-Taj and The Frozen Dome. I believe that has given me enough legitimacy to ask the question that I am going to now."

"A bit overkill, wasn't it?" Asked Black Widow. It was the first time she had spoken, I had twenty different tracking spells on her because I knew comic Assassins were all kinds of bullshit.

"You haven't seen the mindblowing things yet." Spoke Wong in response.

He was referring to the dungeon of forty-two ends. The dungeon was being used well now. We had gotten a lot of loot out of it, my first delve had given me enough to construct all of the techno-organic helpers. Currently, they were all specialized and utility-based. I wanted a few general ones and some for battle. I looked over at Vision, I wanted his expertise in how to properly build them.

You know, without them going psycho.

"Even more mindblowing? I don't think I can take it if you have something like that." Spoke Falcon.

"Wong, I believe is referring to the Dungeon. We can definitely show it to you that later but for now, beyond just Wanda and Vision, who I would like to Join us as magical teachers and students, I wanted to extend invitations of hospitality to the rest of you."

They exchanged a glance.

"You want us to stay here. Would you please explain why?" Asked Cap.

"Of course, just look at yourselves you are heroes. But more than that, you are talented. You have thousands of things to offer us, from martial training to just help with administration and technology."

I think Falcon was a tech-guy. The other two could help with numerous tasks.

"We've had similar offers from other—groups of people like you. We didn't pick it up why should we pick up your offer?" Asked Natasha.

By 'groups of people like you', did she mean secret societies, if so which one?

"Which secret society did you get an invitation from? Talokan? Ta Lo? Wakanda? Asgard? The red daggers? k'un lun?"

I had been learning some of Vision's empathy Skills as we talked, it was only that which let me pick up the slight flutter in her emotions as I spoke Wakanda. It was the most likely suspect but a confirmation was nice.

"I am afraid we cannot tell." Spoke Captain Rogers, instead of asking about the other names I had listed.

I nodded and made my case which made us different from Wakanda.

"I know you guys prefer a Nomadic lifestyle. Going from place to place putting out fires. You are under no obligation to stay here all the time. Just consider this a base of operations. Who else to help you with that task than sorcerers who can create portals to anywhere you want?"

I saw the point strike home.

"I will let you think about it. You can go out and explore the city. Most houses are abandoned, we have ten times the buildings than there are people, simply ask any Techno-organic where the shuttle is and it will take you there. If you wish to leave as I am talking to the couple here, then just make sure that you leave through the portals."

"What happens if we go outside the regular way?" Natasha asked.

"Just ask anyone outside and they will be able to explain in far greater detail than I could. It's almost a sport here to see all the strange things that happen to Large items trying to pass through the portal."

I spoke and bid them farewell along with Wong. I then turned towards the silent couple I had started all of this for, there was a lot of explaining to do if she really didn't know that she was doing magic.

[Skill Learned: Empathic Vision]

I liked my skill's naming system. Now only if the pure Synthroid would use his mind-reading powers on me so that I can learn full-on mind-reading.

The conversation started with me asking Wanda about her childhood. She spoke about how she grew up and I left out a breath of relief learning that Magneto wasn't her father. She spoke about being separated, her brother, the hydra experiments, the stone and a lot more.

The story Vision had to tell of was shorter but no less interesting. He spoke about being created, coming to terms with it, Ultron, the other battles and their relationship.

I listened to it all carefully and empathized with them as well as I could. But that wasn't what I was good at. I explained to them about the layers of their abilities they were blind to.

I offered each of them personal lessons under me and classes to teach. I had already selected my disciples who could be witches and magical telepaths respectively. It was not a big surprise when they accepted.

There was a part of Wanda who rightly was afraid of what she could do. Vision wasn't afraid of himself as much as he was consistently trying to be better. I welcomed both of them with warm smiles and called in disciples to show them around.

I didn't really care too much about whether or not the others decides to live here or not but I had what I wanted. I mean, Cap could be great at making us an even better fighting force and we desperately needed a tech guy. And I guess, Widow could help with security.

I would need to construct tighter security measures. Maybe create something like master stranger protocols and start working on ways to let Vision live without a mind stone on his head. I had to create protocols for what can and can't be taken from the library and come up with ways to make both of them feel like contributing members of the community.

I had to gather more people. People with telepathic or witch-magic potential. I had to hire just more mundane staff with useful expertise to help the new people I wanted to add. I had to create more techno-organics and above it all, I had to remain the greatest magical practitioner in and out of Kamar-Taj.

But I had time, as much time as I needed.

I fiddled with the timestream of my room and got started working on all those goals. It was after around a few subjective hours that I felt something trying to get into the warded dome of time.

Magical but not malicious, I looked at it through an astral projection and I saw two ravens carrying a letter.

Odin had a message.
