It was Nate's 3 month anniversary of going out with Rose, and he wanted to get her something nice. But he wasn't sure of what to get her. So, he decided to turn to Hetty for advice (since the other 3 boys didn't really have any great ideas.).
'Get her something colorful. Like maybe a scarf. Women like colorful pieces of clothing.' She suggested.
'No offense, but a scarf in a climate that's always warm doesn't seem all that practical.' Nate replied.
'Just because it's always warm here doesn't mean it's completely a bad idea. The nights sometimes get chilly. Plus what if she decides to travel to someplace cooler?'
'Huh. Guess I've got to learn still about gift buying for girls. Thanks for the suggestion!'
'Anytime.' Hetty finished.
That night at dinner.
'Oh this is so pretty! Where did you get such a pretty scarf?!' Rose asked when she saw the technicolor scarf.
'I went to a few places looking for the perfect gift. Hetty suggested something colorful, so when I saw this in the store window, I thought it'd be perfect.' Nate proudly replied.
'Now I feel sort of bad I only got you this plaid tie.'
'Don't be. I always like growing my tie collection!'
