Chapter Fifty-One: Answers.

The air was silent save for the soft beeps and whirls of the machines that dimly lit the infirmary room. There were only two occupants in the room currently, one in the bed, the other sitting in a chair watching unblinkingly. Watching might have been a stretch in terms of what the Heiress was doing currently as she sat in the chair keeping watch over her wolf. In reality Weiss wasn't even aware of what she was looking at any more, instead she was going over the events of the pervious few days.

After Yang had pulled the bullhead free from the facility a powerful explosion had rung out leveling the mountain and the surrounding area. They were lucky they had been far enough away to only get hit by the turbulence instead of being thrown out of the sky. When the shockwave hit they were violently rocked and bumped about the cabin, it amazed the Heiress that Yang had been able to hang onto the control stick with only one hand but the blonde had managed it and soon they were flying free of the hell they had endured. Shortly after Ruby had fallen unconscious nearly tearing her apart again, but Blake had quickly reassured her that the wolf was alive and didn't seem to be in any distress.

During the flight Blake had reprogramed their transponder to show their team's tag, and it wasn't much longer after that that a Vale patrol ship just of Mantle's shores contacted them. Apparently Ozpin had put the alert out that Team RWBY was currently AWOL and should be grounded as soon as possible. It had taken some explaining on Blake's part, as Yang was starting to come off the adrenaline that was keeping her from feeling too much pain as well as her blood loss and was fading fast and Weiss herself, as much as she loathed to admit it, wasn't in any condition to calmly explain the situation to anyone, they had been able to land on the patrol ship which in turn took them to a Medical Platform to be treated.

The diagnostics between them weren't pretty. Blake got off with the least amount of injuries; five cracked ribs, two broken ribs, her right scapula was cracked in four places, and hairline cracks on her spine from C5 to T5. After the panther Weiss had only a few more injuries; most of her ribs were cracks but none were broken, both of her scapulas were cracked nearly broken, her spine entire spine had cracks and hairline fractures from hitting the ground as she had, and finally she was diagnosed with a mild concussion. Yang had suffered even more damage than the two of them, her fight with Klon and Adam had taken a toll on the blonde's Aura nearly depleting it to critical levels, many of her bones had been cracked from Klon slamming her into the wall and ground, her sternum was actually broken from where Adam had kicked her and her left arm had been dislocated and relocated incorrectly putting strain on the nerves and veins, the most grievous wound was her missing right arm.

Adam had managed to sever the limb just above the elbow cutting through bone and muscles in a single swipe. Blake figured Adam had triggered his semblance at the last second as it was a very clean cut. The biggest problem that medical team faced as Blake had cauterized the wound to keep the blonde from bleeding out but she had sealed the arteries and blood leaving the doctors no choice but to reopen the wound and properly seal it. Currently the blonde's arm was capped with a metal plate while a prostatic was made. Weiss had already determined she would make sure her teammate's new arm was top of the line, no matter the cost.

The largest problem was Ruby. The poor wolf showed signs of enduring great trauma before her rescue. The collar along with Weiss' attempts to revive the wolf had caused an erythema in her heart that needed to be corrected slowly over time or it could cause heart damage. She also had suffered quite the beating from what the x-rays and CT scans showed. Her entire rib cage had been broken in several different places, the muscles in her shoulders were torn as well as those in arms, several of her organs were bleeding internally, and to top it all off Ruby had barely any Aura left. That the wolf was actually alive, even though she had been clinically dead for roughly ten minutes, was simply a miracle.

They had spent three days on the Medical Platform while waiting for Ruby to reach a stable point before being escorted back to Beacon. It was once they had that their team had received a few more shocks. Firstly instead of Ozpin or Goodwitch giving them a dressing down they had been met with irate Velvet who was crying and screaming at them all at the same time calling them reckless, irresponsible, and impulsive one moment then the next hugging them gently and pulling them close making sure they were alright. Since she had been team RWBY's main medic she had received all of their medical files from the Medical Platform and now that they were back on Beacon's campus she was in charge of their healing. Blake didn't have to do any overnight observation, Weiss only had to spend two night overnight for her concussion which she was cleared of three days ago, Yang would be released from overnight observation in another day they had needed to make sure no blood clots had formed in her arm and that the plate was wired to her nervous system. Ruby, well Ruby would be staying for a lot longer given her numerous injuries and subsequent 'death' Velvet wanted the wolf under long term observation until she was certain Ruby wasn't in any danger. And seeing as their partners were until further notice confined to the infirmary she and Blake and just stayed with them.

The next shock came in the form of Winter. While Weiss now knew she had been played as a fool for which facility her sister would have been at she had not counted on Ozpin keeping track of when and where her sister was moved. That he had sent a team of former Hunters to retrieve her, even if their intended goal was to retrieve her team made her extremely grateful to the Headmaster. It also raised many questions as well. How did he know about Winter's condition? How did he know where she was and when she would be move? There were too many questions and Weiss wanted answers.

After revealing that Winter was currently in a room close by Taiyang, who had explained to Weiss and Blake that he was Yang and Ruby's father had, indicated to the woman who stood beside him and his partner and introduced her as Raven, Yang's biological mother. To say that Yang was unamused was an understatement. The blonde, even slightly sedated and weakened had raged at the woman before falling silent and asking Blake to take her to her room. Raven hadn't said a word in protest; she had just hung her head and stood in place. When the blonde had left Weiss noticed a wet spots on the floor before the woman's feet. Sadly as much as Weiss wanted to help her friend, this was a personal problem that she knew the blonde wouldn't appreciate her help.

All of this led to where she was now, sitting in an infirmary room watching over her wolf. Because of the trauma Ruby had undergone she was heavily medicated and only had a few moments of lucidity every few hours before falling back asleep, Velvet had assured her that this was normal and once the wolf was more healed they'd begin to back down the doses. Hopefully that would be soon.

While Weiss sat and waited on her partner, she thought about all that had happened, she had questions, and she knew one person would have answers to those questions. Ice blue eyes turned to steel as the Heiress gritted her teeth and clenched her hands into fists. The Headmaster was going to tell her everything he knew, she would see to that as soon as her wolf was healed.

A small knock at the door broke her thoughts. "Enter." She said softly, knowing it could only be Velvet or Blake this late and neither of them would have trouble hearing her.

A single glowing amber eye peeked through the crack in the door before Blake opened it fully and stepped into the room with barely a whisper. The panther had changed into a pair of black tights and an oversized yellow shirt that hung off one shoulder, no doubt Yang's, her feet were bare and her ears twitched as she scanned the room.

"How is she?" Blake asked as she stood at the foot of Ruby's bed.

"She was awake for about a half hour two hours ago, you and Yang were eating so I didn't want to bother you, and I was feeling a little selfish sorry." Weiss gave Blake a wary smile to which the panther chuckled at. "She's sore and disoriented, much of what she went through at the facility seems to be missing." The Heiress frowned. Memory loss of a traumatic event wasn't uncommon; she herself wasn't able to recall her first attempt to kill the Doctor until recently. Though she wasn't sure if it was the trauma of actually trying to kill someone that had altered the memory or if she had been actively repressing and changing the memory for so long it had just become distorted. Which ever was the case did this mean Ruby didn't know about her true nature? About the Grimm that lay dormant inside the wolf. Again too many questions.

"She's still Ruby Weiss." Blake said seeming to be able to read the Heiress' thoughts.

Weiss nodded and reached out to hold her wolf's hand, "I know Blake. I know that she's still the carefree, cookie devouring, dolt that I've come to love and nothing will ever change that. It's just if she doesn't remember, I… I don't know if I should tell her." Weiss looked over at the panther who nodded in understanding. "What right do we have to take away that innocence from her? Should we tell her and potentially change everything about her that we've come to love? Should we keep it from her and potentially hide her true from her and hope she never discovers it? What if she does discover it and we refused to tell her? Would she hate us? Would she understand?" Weiss hung her head, "I just don't know."

Blake gave a small sigh before walking over to Weiss and placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Wanna get some tea?" She offered.

"Coffee, but yes." Weiss nodded before standing up and stretching. She had sat to long she grumbled before leaning over and placing a gentle kiss on Ruby's forehead, "I'll be back soon my wolf."

Once the pair had left Blake lead them down to one of the break rooms. Technically only medical staff should have been in the room but no one wanted to argue with Velvet after she had given them permission, actually no one wanted to make Velvet irritated enough to make Coco come down and set the situation straight. Rule of the medical staff was still do not irritate Velvet because Coco was never far behind. Blake lead Weiss to a seat before going to the counter and began fixing two cups, one with warm water and one with coffee.

"Here." Blake extended the mug of coffee to the Heiress.

"Thanks." Weiss replied as she took and began to fix the coffee the way she wanted. After taking a sip she grimaced, "For a first rate Hunter Training school you'd think Beacon could afford better coffee."

Blake snickered behind her own mug, "I hear it's the Headmaster's favorite blend." At the mentioned of the Headmaster Weiss' eyes narrowed but Blake decided to handle that after they dealt with the issue of Ruby. "Weiss what if it was you?" Weiss cocked her head to the side, "What if it was you, that was genetically manipulated and manufactured with Grimm DNA? Would you want to know?"

Weiss looked down with her mug and turned it in her hands as she thought. Would she want to know? Well she already knew that she was the poster child of selective breeding thanks to her family's inherent practices. She knew she was a product of genetic manipulation, but it wasn't something she dwelled on. But her upbringing had been different from Ruby's, she had grown up in a cold and unfeeling environment the only source of joy had been her sister and even that had been taken from her. But Ruby, Ruby had grown up with love and the warmth of a family. Would knowledge of her birth and nature really change all of that? Or would it be a family that helped her coup?

Sighing the Heiress made up her mind, "I think we should tell her." Weiss looked up at the panther, "I don't know if it's the right thing to do but we're a family now; Ruby, me, Yang and you. We're a family and we can't keep something that involves another member of our family from them. Ruby needs to know, and it's our duty to help her through it."

Blake nodded in agreement. If that was Weiss' decision then she would be sure she and Yang supported it. Before she could ask another question Weiss spoke up.

"You asked how Ruby was, but I didn't get the chance to ask how Yang was?" The Heiress asked.

Blake let out along sigh, "Physically she's doing well. A side from the occasional reaching for something with her right hand and some phantom pain she's adjusting. She still a little upset you're paying for her prostatic. She says her dad and uncle could handle it."

Weiss chuckled, "She'll get over it. Though I'm sure Ruby will want to add plenty of design changes when she can." That made both girl's chuckle knowing the crimson wolf's attitude towards weapons.

"Mentally," Blake shook her head. "Seeing her mother, it shook her up." Weiss looked at her questioningly. "All her life she's never known who her mother or why she left her and her father and suddenly she just shows up? No provocation or reason besides she was going to recue us? It doesn't sit will with her." Weiss nodded.

"Have you tried to talk to her?" Weiss asked.

Blake nodded, "She just says she doesn't want to deal with it right now. Between her, her dad and her uncle she's just fed up with all of them." Blake sighed, "Which is sad because Raven seems like a nice person."

"You've talked to her?" Weiss' eyes went wide.

Blake gave a so-so gesture. "A little, a few nights ago when I was getting some tea. She was standing across the hall from Yang's door. She asked about my relationship with Yang and if I was taking care of her, small things like that."

"How did she take your engagement?" Weiss snickered as the panther blushed.

"She was, indifferent." Blake frowned. "I told her Yang had asked me to marry her and I said yes but she really didn't react to it." The panther shrugged, "I think it's best if I just let Yang figure out what she's feeling towards Raven before I broach the subject again. That, and see if Raven sticks around this time." Weiss nodded again. "Now before we get distracted again what's your beef with Ozpin? Every time he's been around to check on us you glare at him and if he's mentioned you get this icy stare. Why?"

"Do you remember that photo the Doctor showed us?" Weiss started.

Blake shuddered, "You'd have to be more specific there Weiss, he showed us a lot of photos. Most I'd like to forget." Weiss dipped her head in agreement.

"It was near the beginning, it was of him and two others." Blake tilted her head to the side before nodding. "The woman in the photo was his assistant, Sylvia Marrow, or at least I believe it was her. The other was Ozpin."

Blake's eyes went wide, "You're serious." Weiss nodded, "Ozpin? The Headmaster was involved in those, those abominations?"

Weiss grimaced, "I can't believe I'm saying this but those abominations Blake gave humanity a fighting chance against the Grimm." Blake looked at her in confusion, making her sigh. "I'm not say they were right Blake but I cannot deny that some of them did give us an advantage. 'Knight' gave us the Atlas Knights, an automated force that is used to boost a Kingdom's defenses, and more recently the Paladins which can take down some mid level Grimm. If 'Marionette' had been handled better and given restraint parameters then it could have been a huge asset to Hunters." Weiss shook her head, "I'm not saying that the Hunter Initiative was right, and I'll never say it was ethical. But it gave us a chance."

Blake considered her words before reluctantly nodding, "So what are we going to do about Ozpin? Do you think he was involved with Ruby? With Winter?"

Weiss' eyes hardened "I don't but I'm going to find out." Blake saw the determination in the Heiress' eyes.

"Then go." Blake said, "It's late, no one will be out to stop you. Go I'll watch over Ruby while you're out."

Weiss took a deep breath and stood. Blake was right, if she was going to confront Ozpin now was the time. "If I'm not back in an hour, send in Qrow, he seems to always have a bone to pick with Headmaster." Blake snorted but nodded.

The walk from the medical building to the Headmaster's Tower was spent in silence; the only noise that punctuated the silence was the tap of her heels against the hard pavement. She knew that she was going to confront someone who was infinitely more experienced than her and just as powerful, but Weiss didn't want this to turn into a true confrontation. She wanted answers and Ozpin was her best option of getting those answers. She would do her best to push the man into giving her those answers but if he truly refused she would try a different route until she got what she wanted.

Reaching the Tower she surprisingly found it unlocked and the elevator waiting for her. She narrowed her eyes in suspicion but boarded the elevator nonetheless. Pressing the button to the top Weiss stood her ground as it rose. When it stopped the doors opened with barely a whisper.

The open office was dimly lit by the full moon overhead, dark gears turned slowly above casting deep shadows on the floor, a glass desk with large chair facing away from the elevator was before large windows that showed the lights of the city, in them the reflection of the Headmaster sat looking out into the night. In that moment all of Weiss' anger boiled forward.

"I knew you would be coming." Ozpin said not bothering to look at her. Weiss glared at his reflection in the glass.

"You knew." Her voice dripping in venom as she advanced forward, "You knew and you never said a word. You never warned any of us. You never spoke up, revealed that that madman was still alive. You knew everything he had done, to my sister, me, Ruby. You knew." Weiss continued to glare at the man's refection. "You knew and you said nothing."

With a heavy sigh Ozpin spun his chair to face her, brown eyes studied her for a long time before he tapped a hidden button on his desk. Metal shutters slammed down on the window while the doors locked shut. With the moonlight blocked they were cast in a pale green glow of the room.

"Fifty years ago a project was purposed in order to understand the Grimm better and give humanity a fighting chance against them." Ozpin stated evenly. "From that proposal the Hunter Initiative was born. Its main goal was to secure the survival of sentient life on Remnant, by any means necessary." The old hunter sighed and shook his head. "Stein already told you that. It was a glimmer of hope, one we desperately needed and we grasped at it. During that time Hunter mortality rates were nearly eighty-seven percent, and career-ending injuries occurred nearly ninety-two percent of the time. We were losing an unending battle in a war humanity had been fighting for generations. With medical advances allowing people to live longer, we were running out of room and recourses in the Kingdoms. Humanity had to branch out, we had to claim more territory. So a group of like minded individuals came together and we set out to secure humanities future."

The Headmaster hit another button which displayed a group of twenty four people around a table with papers strung about it. "This was the first meeting of the Hunter Initiative, twenty four of the best and brightest minds at the time, had you been around during this time I highly suspect you would have been included in this group." Weiss ignored the man's comment as she scanned through the picture. There were a few faces she recognized along with the Headmaster and the Doctor. She was surprised to see her grandfather among the attendants, "This picture is nearly fifty three years old." Weiss look at the man in shock before looking back at the picture, the Headmaster looked as if he had barely aged between them.

Ozpin chuckled lightly at the Heiress' shock. "Don't be to surprised Miss Schnee, as you know Hunters have much longer lives when left to live a natural life. Our activated Aura gives us longevity beyond normal means. Hunters lucky enough to retire can live well in to their nineties before showing their true age."

"Just how old are you?" Weiss asked as she looked back at the man.

Ozpin gave a wary sigh as he slumped back into his chair, "Well over a hundred Miss Schnee, but that's neither here nor there. You came here to get answers, but before I tell you let me ask you this; are you sure you truly wish to know? You cannot put the genie back in the bottle once you release it."

Standing straighter Weiss nodded, "Tell me everything you know, Headmaster. I need to know in order to protect Ruby."

"No, Miss Schnee, you do not need to know." Ozpin shook his head, but before Weiss could protest the man raised his hand, "But I shall tell you none the less as I suspect that you and Miss Rose will be together for the foreseeable future." The man looked up, his brown eyes pinning her to the spot. "Yes Miss Schnee, I knew about Miss Rose some time ago. Sixteen years ago to be exact, when Summer Rose first found her." Weiss frowned but allowed the Headmaster to continue. "Summer Rose, was born on the frontier in a town that was overrun and wiped out by a Grimm horde when she was very young, she was the only survivor. Orphaned and critically wounded she was brought to a medical testing facility, there Stein put her through the 'Maiden' project."

"Legion." Weiss whispered making Ozpin nod.

"Correct. Summer Rose was dubbed 'Legion' because of her semblance. Before undergoing the project she could only produce two clones which lasted only a few minutes at most. After she was capable of producing hundreds that could last indefinitely if the original body was conscious." He explained.

"But Ruby said the most she could make was nine at a time." Weiss frowned.

"Well when facing nine Summers there wasn't much that could stand up to her." Ozpin smirked, "She usually limited herself to nine and her original because it was easy to keep track of but make no mistake Miss Schnee, Summer could make more clones than were countable." The old man sighed before shaking his head and continuing on. "As you well know, these projects can be… traumatic to any under going them." Weiss snorted. "Summer never forgave Stein for what she saw and what was done to her, so after she graduated she came to me, much like you are, knowing I was trying to find and stop him. Many of her solo missions took her to facilities that she easily destroyed, that was until she found the final 'Prometheus' facility. Originally her orders were to destroy the facility as well as anyone inside, but when she found Miss Rose, Summer couldn't bring herself to kill something so innocent." Ozpin gave a found smile, "Even after everything she endured Summer was truly a beautiful soul."

"Summer refused her mission to kill Ruby and adopted her as her child. She believed that Ruby wasn't an abomination to be killed but another soul to be saved." Ozpin continued on. "She pleaded and eventually convinced me to help her get Ruby out of Dragnaire and back to Patch in order to raise her."

"So you knew the Doctor was alive still and looking for her?" Weiss questioned. The Headmaster shook his head.

"No. I believed like many others that he was dead when you first attempted to kill him." Ozpin corrected her. "Stein shouldn't have survived that attempt but I believe he preformed several experiments upon himself which allowed him to survive."

"You know him." Weiss stated. "And not in just the 'he was a colleague' way."

Ozpin gave her a wart sigh before drawing up another photo, it was the same one Stein had shown her of him and Ozpin along with the woman she assumed was his assistant in front of vats of floating Grimm. Looking now closer at the woman she could see that it wasn't in fact Sylvia but someone else. She had light blonde hair, and deep blue eyes, and kind smile on her lips. " 'Chimera' was our first true contribution to the Hunter Initiative, mine, and my brother and sister's." Weiss looked at the Headmaster with wide eyes. "Yes Stein and myself are brothers, we were fraternal triplets hence why we don't look much alike. We along with our sister studied and learned how to strip Grimm DNA and combine it into new creations, we wanted to breed an army of monsters to fight monsters. But ultimately we failed. After, Stein became obsessed with succeeding and it drove him to greater and greater lengths. Eventually I could no longer stand behind him and left the Hunter Initiative."

"When I left I took several other members of the Initiative that also saw the madness behind the projects and we started our own idea." Ozpin explained, "Together we decided that if we wanted Hunters become stronger, to live longer in the field, survive more encounters, they needed training. Intensive training that stretched them to their limits, pushed them beyond their normal bounds and help them to become better. We needed more than small schools that taught the basics of fighting and survival before sending out their Hunters and hoping for the best. Together we founded the four great Hunter Academies. Shade, Haven, Alsius and Beacon were founded on those principals. And since their inception Hunters survival rates has increased. As they grew in renown junior academies started to pop up in hopes that more Hunters could be found at younger ages." Ozpin looked up at the Heiress, "I don't expect you to understand what we did Miss Schnee, but until you'vxe stood in our position you cannot condemn us either."

As the silence filled the air Weiss considered the man's words. He had answered her main question, the truth behind Ruby Rose. He had confirmed that Ruby was indeed part Grimm, that she had been an experiment created by that madman, she was a weapon of pure destruction and death. Now the question was; did this change anything?

After a few moments Weiss shook her head, no, no this changed nothing. Despite being part Grimm, a created life, a weapon, deep down Ruby was still Ruby, the wolf she loved. Knowing what she knew now her feelings didn't change one bit for the wolf.

"So where does this leave us now?" Weiss asked.

Ozpin pressed another button causing the metal shutters to rise. "If you feel it changes nothing then it changes nothing." Weiss nodded and turned to leave but Ozpin stopped her. "You should be aware Miss Schnee that at some point while you were at that facility you father attempted to leave Atlas in one of the SDC airships; it was brought down by the Revolutionaries there were no survivors." Weiss her stomach drop slightly before shaking her head, the man was a bastard so why would she care if he was dead. The only sympathy she felt for the family of the crewmembers that had perished. "As of seven days ago you are now the presumed CEO and owner of the SDC. The Board of Directors has been trying to get you to confirm your position, but I have taken the liberty of keeping them away while you and your team recover. If you are feeling up to it however I will of course allow them to reach you. I'd suggest you do contact them sooner rather than later as they might try and take the company for their own." Weiss nodded in agreement. If she wanted to try to make the SDC a better place then she had to be the one to take control of the company, not the board.

"Anything else?" She asked.

"Yes." Ozpin nodded as he stood, "And it concerns Miss Rose." Weiss narrowed her eyes. "Relax Miss Schnee, I do not want to see any harm come to her either but you should be aware that before your misadventure there were only three people aware of Miss Rose's true nature; Summer, myself and Stein. Now two of those people are dead now but your team now the truth. What you do with that truth is up to you." Weiss nodded and turned to leave.

When she reached the elevator Ozpin's voice called out one more time. "A word of caution Miss Schnee; Grimm are durable creatures, what doesn't kill them only makes them stronger. Should Miss Rose be put in to many situations like this the Grimm will emerge and when that happens, she will need to be stopped."

Weiss glanced over her shoulder but the man was standing before the window looking over the city. With out another word Weiss walked into the elevator and left the old Headmaster alone.

Once the Heiress, now CEO was gone Ozpin sighed and turned to face the picture that was still being projected over his desk. It was the last picture of all three of them before the accident. The accident that was caused by him and his brother, that had started the rift that tore their family apart. The accident that claimed the life of their sister. Ozpin lowered his head, "I'm sorry Salem I couldn't save him."

When Weiss returned to the medical building she found Blake sitting in Ruby's room reading a book. When she entered the panther looked up her amber eyes glowing. "Did you get your answers?"

"Yes." Weiss nodded as she took a seat on Ruby's bed. She quickly explained what had transpired between her and the Headmaster and once she was finished Blake had put her book down and was staring at her.

"So Ozpin was one of the original members of the Hunter Initiative." Blake muttered. After a few moments she looked at Weiss, "Do you think we can trust him?"

Weiss sighed, "I'm not sure. Part of me says yes we can trust him but another part of me is screaming no, not until we know for sure."

"Are you sure your judgment isn't being tainted by the fact that he is Stein's brother?" Blake questioned. Weiss glared at the panther. "I'm just saying he's never done anything to put us in danger intentionally. So maybe he was being honest that he's not like his brother."

Weiss held her glare before sighing and nodding, "You're right Blake. We can't judge others by their family. I should know that better than anyone."

The pair lapsed into silence for a few moments when Ruby began to stir. Seeing the wolf's ears start to twitch and her face start to scrunch up Blake silently stood, "I'll leave you two be. Yang and I will stop by tomorrow."

Weiss gave a grateful nod before leaning forward and cupping Ruby's cheek, "Hey Ruby." She whispered as the door shut leaving them alone. "How is my lovely wolf feeling?"

Ruby's eyes blinked open and Weiss stared into the twin sterling eyes. "Weiss?" Ruby's voice was dry and just barely above a whisper.

"Yes Ruby, I'm right here." Weiss cooed. "Do you need anything?"

Ruby gave her a soft smile, "Water please." Weiss nodded and quickly grabbed her a glass from the faucet in the room. Helping the wolf set up she guided the cup to her lips.

"Slowly." Weiss directed.

"Yes Miss Schnee." Ruby smirked making Weiss roll her eyes. Once the cup was empty Weiss help the wolf back down.

"How are you feeling?" She asked stroking the crimson hair lightly.

Ruby was slightly distracted as Weiss scratched her scalp, shaking her head lightly she brought her thoughts back, "Sore and tired."

"Well Velvet did say you'd be sore for some time and once we're able to lower the med doses the tiredness will fade." Weiss assured her. Ruby nodded sadly, a frown pulling at her lips. "What is it Ruby?" Weiss asked with concern.

"Its just I miss something." Ruby sighed.

Weiss frowned in confusion, "You miss something?" Ruby nodded. "What do you miss?" The Heiress leaned closer.

"This." Ruby smirked as she snaked her arms up around Weiss' next and pulled her down capturing her lips in a searing kiss. Weiss knew she should at least try to resist but honestly after so long with so little contact with her wolf the Heiress couldn't bring herself to care.

After a few long minutes of staying locked at the lips Weiss finally pulled away and placed her hand on Ruby's cheek, "I miss you too Ruby but until you're fully healed it's just to risky." The wolf gave a miserable sigh but nodded as she nuzzled her hand.

As the silence settled Weiss knew Ruby would be slipping back to sleep soon but before she did she needed to talk to her. "Ruby." She said gently. The wolf opened her eyes and looked up at her. "Once," She paused and cleared her throat giving her time to build her courage. "Once you're out of here, we need to have talk. It's important."

"I know." Ruby replied simply making Weiss blink.

Did Ruby mean she knew? "You know." Weiss repeated slowly looking into the wolf's eyes. Ruby gave a tight nod never breaking eye contact. As Weiss stared into her silver orbs she Weiss saw a mix of emotions swirling about in them but chiefly among them she saw fear burning deep in them.

Weiss' heart broke as she saw that fear. Pulling her wolf close Weiss held her firmly against her body. "We'll figure this out Ruby. We'll do this together."

Ruby's body shook as she silently sobbed into her chest clutching at her shirt. "Please don't leave me." The whisper came so quietly that Weiss almost missed. "Please."

"Never Ruby." Weiss said firmly pulling her closer, "I'll never leave you."

"Promise?" Ruby asked as she looked up at the Heiress.

Weiss nodded. "Promise. I'm not going anywhere Ruby. If you'd have me I'll be with you forever."

Ruby nodded weakly, her eyes started to drift close. "Forever then." She muttered before drifting back to sleep.

Keeping her wolf close Weiss continued to stroke her hair and ears. "Forever then."

A/N: And that's a wrap. T-Th-T-That's all folks. Thanks for coming. Come back real soon now ya hear.

Okay so not really the end, still gotta do the epilogue which will be out in a few days, more than likely Monday or sometime about then. It's not gonna be any where near the length of what a usual chapter is, maybe 2/3 thousand. Just enough to tease. Spoilers but Grimm Reality will continue at some point in the future (winterish?) I'll share the name in the epilogue.

So usually I would explain what happened since it took me forever to get this story done to this point but honestly I'm over everything that happened and the greater majority of people will probably not care so we're just gonna move on and be adults about the situation, cool? Cool. Before you do your reviews yes I am highly aware of the typos and grammar in the story (these last chapters especially) but here's the thing; it took me this long to do three chapters and I didn't give them the full edit that I try to give them because I wanted to get them out and give them to you to hopefully enjoy. That's been the whole reason I've even attempted this because I wanted to make something that someone would enjoy. Am I very good at it? Probably not and there are tons of people who do it better. But you know what? If there is at least one person who says 'I really enjoyed this story despite its errors, misgivings, horrible plot devices and general oddness' then I've done what I set out to do and I'm happy with that.

But I ranted and I apologize. So without further ado:

Thanks to everyone who's been with me since the beginning and to those who came along the way, please make sure your trays are in the upright position and that the plane has come to a complete stop before rising, and until we meet again; may you find a song in your heart, a smile on your face and a healthy thought in you head.
