A/N: Another chapter update. Same disclaimer as before; I don't own Twilight, anything you recognize here belongs to Stephanie Meyer.

I found myself once again in the living room, which in itself was baffling. If I had been gone for days, why had Bella and Dad left me as I was, sure Bella knew of my visions now albeit not all of what they were about, but enough to know it was not seizures. I had never been out of it for days at a time, so surely this should have been extremely worrisome to her. Rolling my shoulders back, I made to stand just to notice out of the corner of my eye that the movie I had put on was still playing. It was some half-assed shark movie with B-list actors, the issue though was the fact that it was only an hour of the way through.

The clock on the mantle solidified that though I had spent what seemed to be multiple days in my head, I was only out of it for roughly an hour. Well, I really shouldn't be so shocked with all the changes that seemed to have occurred with my visions. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't hear the car door shut outside, the sound of footsteps on the porch, nor the sound of the door unlocking and opening.

"What're you doing? I know you're not watching that awful movie; you love hating on that crap," Bella hung her coat up and plopped down on the couch beside me. I shrugged and looked over at her with narrowed eyes, staring her down until she turned to meet my gaze.

"What were you up to today, Bells? Having a bite to eat with the Cullens?" I watched her intently, looking for any sign my words bugged her.

She cleared her throat and looked away with a blush, "No um, Edward and I just hung out in his room listening to music."

"Oh, you mean Debussy? You know Edward has an awfully dated taste in music," looking down at my nails, pretending to be invested in them as I waited for her reaction.

She coughed loudly, sputtering a few times as I looked back up at her; she was bright red now, "I mean-it's-I also like Debussy so what does that say?"

"It says Bella, that along with music from our time, you like older stuff too. Men included," settling back with a smirk I raised an eyebrow in challenge. If Bella thought I was backing down she was wrong.

"I really don't get where you're going with this Dee, Edward and his family aren't that bad." She gave me a quick glance and huffed loudly.

I groaned and rolled my eyes. She really was a bad liar, half of me wishes I had taught her to be more convincing, but it was working in my favor right now.

"Cut the shit Bella. I went and saw Jacob today; he had an awful lot to say about something called the Cold Ones."

"What about them? I didn't know you cared so much about old legends," she replied.

"Hm that's the thing." I shifted to face her fully, "After I heard that 'old legend' I came home and decided to do a little digging. I figured you didn't have a diary, but if you really want to hide something you need to be slicker. I found the pages you had saved on your computer."

Shuffling in her spot, she looked rightfully annoyed, "You went through my stuff?"

A laugh escaped before I could stop it. "That's really all you have to say?" I continued after she let out a sigh, "I know about the Cullens. Vampires Bella, of all the things you had to stumble upon it had to be vampires?"

She stood up abruptly in horror, shock displayed on her face. Had she really thought I wouldn't figure it out?

"I know I say it a lot, but you suck at lying. The day with the Cullens made it clear they were lying. All I had to do was look at you," I stood up with my hands on my hips watching her grab her coat again. She turned to me and tossed me the second coat hanging up near the door, cocking my eyebrow at her I put it on.

Huffing yet again she jutted her chin out and picked up the truck keys, "Come on. We're going to see Edward."

"I don't even need to see the Cullens B. All my questions are for you and why you're so okay with being around them! Plus, sorry if you don't feel the same but I'm pretty attached to living." I was sitting in the passenger seat once more, more than a little upset I was being dragged back to the Cullens.

Charlie had come home just as I was locking up, the station hadn't been busy, and he'd been free to go home early. I had offered to cook quickly with Bella, but he'd been insistent on calling in a pizza, something both B and I were against. He waved us off with a chuckle, telling us to be safe and not to be home too late. I gave him a quick hug before I had hopped into the truck and prepared myself for an awkward confrontation.

"I think you'd better stick to asking Edward or Carlisle your questions. This kind of relates to them." Looking over, Bella's grip on the wheel was tight enough to turn her fingers partially white.

"I don't get why you're so stressed. It's not like you're the one walking into a house full of blood sucking supermodels. Oh wait, I guess you willingly hanging out with them while knowing they're vampires must've slipped my mind." So, I was a bit heavy with the sarcasm, but in all fairness, I was questioning Bella's sanity as of late.

She threw an exasperated look my way, "This is what I mean. You're already making assumptions about something you don't understand!"

"Something I don't understand? How hard is it to understand that your perfect little boyfriend and his entire family are undead!"

"Dee." She took a deep breath before continuing, "I promise you that there are things that only the Cullens should tell you. They're not bad people, do you really think I would spend so much of my time with murderers? I know we have been spending too much time together since we first came to Forks, but now that you know the secret it doesn't have to be like that anymore."

I was just a bit miffed that she was giving me a lecture, but I guess that's just something to expect from her by now. "I'm not saying I trust them, I don't. But I will hear them out just this once for you. Again, I'm not promising I'll magically adore them, but I won't run screaming."

This seemed to relieve some of her tension, she immediately loosened her rough grip on the wheel and gave me a small smile. "Thank you."

I hummed in agreement and let my head fall back against the seat. I wasn't sure if this would end up being a mistake in the long run, only that Forks just got much more interesting.

I was once again sitting in the Cullen's living room, though this time Carlisle and Esme both seemed slightly more relaxed. It was clear they had no clue why Bella had brought me; it was possible they truly believed this was a social visit. Looking around the room, Alice seemed to know as she shot me a happy grin and a very enthusiastic wave. Jasper simply inclined his head, Carlisle and Esme had warmly greeted us at the door, and Rosalie was once again glaring. Honestly that seems to be her trademark, so I tried not to let it bother me.

Edward cleared his throat and looked toward Bella for an explanation, most likely not entirely happy with my presence. I couldn't blame him really, I didn't want to be here to begin with, but my sister was adamant that any questions regarding the vamps could be answered by them.

Edward's head snapped to meet my eyes, his face was filled with both alarm and apprehension. Seriously, what was his deal? The man really needed to get his shit together and quickly, because every day I was more convinced he was certifiably crazy. Probably why him and my sister were such a great match, two weirdos in love. He coughed loudly and gestured toward me–was I supposed to speak now?

Another quick glance around confirmed that the rest of the occupants in the room were all staring at me with expectant looks. Okay then, it's party time.

"Uh Bella thought that I should come here and speak with you all. I really don't agree but here we are so that should tell you how much my opinion counts." Rolling my eyes, I crossed my arms over my chest–a false bravado.

Carlisle–ever the diplomat–nodded, "Of course. Though I must say I am still mildly confused on what exactly we're speaking about, our home is always open to you."

Ugh, his hospitality was really grating on my nerves, how was I supposed to be so anti-Cullen if they were kind and welcoming?

"Listen, before everything blows up, I'd just like to state that Bella took me hostage. So, as uncomfortable as this ends up being for you, I can bet I'm more uncomfortable."

Esme threw a warm smile my way and grabbed her husband's hand, while Rosalie let out an impatient sigh and slumped back against Emmett.

"I know you're vampires. And no, Bella didn't tell me. I did some digging on my own and compared it all to your weird behaviors." There, that was easy, no big deal. Wrong.

Rosalie jumped up and hissed at me. Jesus Christ, I really got myself into a lot this time; finally bit off more than I can chew.

"Are you serious, Carlisle now two humans know?" She turned to me, "Do you even know how much danger you're putting us and yourself in, and for what? Some stupid little curiosity?"

If I thought she was angry last time, now she was absolutely pissed, I could tell this was just going to blow up even more.

Emmett guffawed, "Damn this is cool! Now there's two little Swans to tease." His smirk really shouldn't seem so smug, I definitely wasn't planning to play house with them anytime soon.

The only one aside from Rosalie who seemed visibly upset in any way was Edward who let out a groan and pinched the bridge of his nose between two fingers. Good, I'd only hope he'd feel frustrated or stressed, it was karma. In my eyes this is his fault, he'd chosen to get involved with my sister, and we're a package deal. If he wanted to eat her, he could've just done it, but I guess vampires liked to play with their food, though I wasn't going to let her walk into her death alone.

The man in question let out a bitter laugh, "I'm not going to eat your sister. Though she smells really good, I'm on a strict vegetarian diet."

Uh huh. Right. "What the hell does that mean? I can't picture you eating broccoli, so I'd like more assurance than some mysterious remark."

He let out a genuine laugh this time, which just annoyed me even further. I don't find any part of this conversation amusing, especially sitting in a house surrounded by people who could kill me in a split second.

He seemed to recover quickly, nodding a few times, "I'm honestly surprised you have some kind of self-preservation; Bella does not seem to have any. And you're right to be worried about being killed, though we do not hunt humans we are still very dangerous."

My eyes widened and I sat up quickly. How would he have any clue I was worried about that? In comparison to Bella, I was fairly good at hiding things, which wasn't in any way limited to my emotions or any nonverbal reactions.

"My family and I call ourselves vegetarians as we only hunt animals. "

I looked at him in horror as soon as I processed what I had just heard, "Are you trying to tell me that you eat Bambi and his mom regularly? Also that doesn't address the fact that you've got some weird voodoo stuff going on. Like how you knew I was worried you'd kill Bella"

Chuckling, he cast a glance at Bella then continued, "No, I can promise you we don't eat 'Bambi'. You're an easy person to read Didyme. Vampires can hear on a whole other level than humans, so your heart is thudding in its chest. Not to mention the way you keep wringing your hands together and scooting away ever so slightly."

I paused, this was a lot to take in–not only were the Cullens vampires but it sounded like they had at least one ability in addition to drinking blood. Also probably immortality if the media had anything right.

The blonde one spoke up suddenly, "It'd also be pretty natural to be worried we'd hurt you or your family. I'd frankly be concerned if you weren't." Okay Jasper had a great point, plus Bella had teased me that my nerves got the best of me much too often-even overshadowing my ability to lie.

The rest of the night had been spent with the Cullens telling me all there was to know of their kind, and of my sister catching me up on the actual Phoenix incident. This new supernatural world had my full attention, especially as my sister seemed to want immortality for herself. The Cullens all seemed to be more decent that I had previously given them credit for, aside from Rosalie who had left in a huff after the initial conversation. In all the excitement of the presence of vampires, my own supernatural ailment was the furthest thing from mind.
