Chapter 9: A Plain, Some Training, and a Star

I sit on the couch with my mum watching a show about dust weaving. That caught My attention real quick because that reminds me of the most over powered weapon in Rwby. An umbrella more specifically Neos umbrella.

It has a dust woven canopy that made it tough and able to not be cut by Rubys scythe. It could also tank hits from Yangs gauntlets and other crazy things. There was also cinders dresses and stuff too.

I actually don't know why more people don't abuse the hell out of dust weaving, other than that it's hard to learn. It's also costly not like Super costly but it's still pricey.

I start looking up how to learn it and how to get the proper materials for it. If I'm not gonna be like normal gamers that get broken in the first month of being in their second life, ima use this own worlds awesome stuff against it.

After two hours or so my pops came back with two packages in his arms. He walked over to me after he took off his boots and handed them to me.

"Happy birthday Iris hope you like them me and Your mother picked them out for ya." Pops said with a proud smile on his face.

"Ooo go on and open them sweetie I want to see your reaction to them!" As she says this she pulls out her scroll to start recording me.

I look at the gifts and open them up. "Wow" was all I could say as i open the first one was an outfit that was made from quite heavy materials. "I-is this my huntress outfit?"

I look at my pops and mum with happiness and shock on my face.

The outfit is a set of tough black leggings with white irises Designed all the way up them a pair of black shorts. There was a black & white skirt I could wear over the shorts and a nice soft thick white long sleeve shirt with a black vest to wear over it, and a pair of black fingerless gloves with steel knuckles.

"I love it!" That's all I can say as I feel tears prickling my eyes. I lean over and hug my parents with a smile.

"Now now you still haven't opened your other one." My mum patted my back and a kiss to my head.

I lean back and open the other one and it's the other half of my outfit a pair of black combat boots and a thick black & white cloak. I was in love with the outfit especially the cloak, and it was perfect for when I figure out dust weaving.

There's also a scabbard for a saber in there and belt with some pouches to carry some small supplies.

I jump back over and give my mum and pops a big hug. "Thank you some much I love it!" I give them both a kiss on the cheek and run upstairs to try it on.

Once I get to my room I lock my door and put it on as fast as I could with out messing it up. I straight everything out and look in the mirror.

I give myself a twirl and smile I look awesome and super cute as well as sexy. I puff my chest out at that thought and hug myself. I don't think I ever felt this comfortable in my own skin in my last life. I love me.

After I showed how I looked in my outfit to my parents I went, and started planning out my training regiment. I can't really train my magic with out injuries to heal and my parents won't like me to get hurt.

From what I can tell I don't have that ID create like other gamers do. So that just means I have to actually work for my gains.

The problem is how to do it. The easiest way I can think of is sneaking out and healing animals, and getting into fights with Grimm.

I'll probably wait for the fighting Grimm tell I can go out hunting with my pops. Once he starts taking me with him that'll mean he thinks I could handle myself against the Grimm near the village.

Tell then Sneaking out and healing wild life, or anything my magic works on.

The Barrier I'll need to think of something to help with that. Probably let any aggressive animals hit it for now.

Sorry this is a little short but ima do a small time skip to show her gains from that time.

(I wanted to get on with more story parts and idk if y'all will want me explaining every little bit of how she trains up her stuff)
