I think I'm getting quite strong. I like it I might not be as strong as a true huntsman, but I'm definitely not a push over. With about a year and a half tell cannon starts I can get extremely strong, but it'll be getting harder and harder.
I think I can get to lvl 50 maybe 60 if I drop everything, and solely focus on training. I won't do that though I'll push myself to be strong, but I want to live my life. Even if I'm some form of entertainment for the gods I want to be happy. plus if I got too strong everything would be trivial, and the gods would definitely do something to make me weaker or make Salem and her pawns stronger.
I can't have that happen. I think if I keep up with a strict training for the next year I'd be probably as strong as Pyrrha. Now that I'm thinking about it I think next year she's competing in that Mistral Regional Tournament.
I should try and see if pops will let me go so I can see how strong she is. It would be good comparison considering she the strongest non pro huntsman/Salem pawn. I could also try and be friends with her.
Though I honestly don't know if she gonna be the same girl I found so adorable in the show or a different person. I mean Winter was slightly more emotional, and not apathetic towards her family like cannon Winter.
Ironwood seams more smug and more sure of himself, but I only held a small conversation with him so I can't really judge him yet. I hope Pyrrha is still the sweet, and kind hearted girl from cannon.
I've also been thinking of getting a second weapon for more armored Grimm. I know Ruby has a sniper, and Nora has a grenade launcher. I want something different yet strong so I contemplated on a strong yet reliable high impact weapon.
I think for quite a long time before I remember a weapon from my old life that I liked. A Smith & Wesson 500 Magnum, it was a .50 Caliber revolver that could pierce metal like it was made of plywood.
It would be a good medium range weapon, and could be used as a back up if I'm disarmed. I'd have to talk with mum about it, and get her thoughts on it. Other than all of that I need to start getting ready, and thoroughly prepped to deal with this shadow war.
1 year later...
Over the past year I've kept up with my training, and been working on my magic in secret. I've managed to reached lvl 43 it's lower than I predicted but my gains where still great.
I got my kinda mechashift weapon my saber I named "Nebulous Thorn", and I gave my revolver the name "Lux". They are both quite Beautiful, they are made from high quality Atlas Steel and Silver. They have beautiful floral patterns on their metal, and star shapes in their handles. I love them.
Over this time I've managed to save up a good amount of lien so I can live on my own for a while. The tournament is taking place in a week, and I've managed to convince my pops to let me go to it.
Im leaving my family a bit earlier than they want, but I need to start moving otherwise I might just stay with them to keep feeling their love. Once the tournament is over I'm moving straight to Vale, I already got a small house I'm moving into.
Apparently it's my aunts but she's moving to Mistral so she's letting me use it. I'm gonna be staying with her during my stay in Mistral too. I'm going to take a bullhead there it'll take a few days to get there though. Sadly today is the day I finally leave home, and started to make my own path through life.
"Sweetheart are you a hundred percent sure you have everything?" Mum asks clearly fretting over me.
I give a soft laugh. "Yes mum I have everything I've quadruple checked. I'm a big girl now I'll be alright." I walk up and give her a big hug.
I feel a hand on my head messing up my hair. "Now now Iris you know your always going to be our little girl no matter how big or strong you get." Pops ruffles my hair more getting an annoyed whine out of me.
I smile and swat away his hand. "I know I'm a tough cookie though so you don't have to constantly worry." I give him a hug next.
I back out of the hug and look at both my parents with a big smile. "I love both of you so much I'll be back eventually. Maybe I'll even have my team or maybe a partner with me." I can see my pops scowl at the mention of a "partner" he even has the cliché tick mark on his head.
I giggle at him when mum pinches his side. "Make sure to make lots of friends, and if you do bring back anyone that's more than a friend we'll welcome them with open arms." Mum turns to look at Pops with a dark grin. "Right?"
I can hear him gulp and look dejected. "Y-ya right open arms." I giggle at him again seeing him look so mopey.
I see a bullhead land closer to the town gate. I grab my suitcases, and give a wave to my family. "I'll see you guys later I love you stay safe." I start walking to the bullhead, and get settled for the long ride ahead of me.
2 1/2 days later...
The trip was rather uneventful besides some stops for fuel or snacks it was extremely boring. Finally though I've arrived at Mistral glad to be off that damn thing after so long.
I'm suddenly tackled out of no where with arms wrapped around me. "Oh my Dust! It's so nice to see you again Iris I haven't seen you sense you were just a baby." I look at the lady holding me and noticed her bright red and grey hair. She also has beautiful blue eyes, and some cute fox ears, but no tail like mum.
I hug back after a moment. "Auntie Omaira it's great to see you too. You surprised me! I thought we were meeting near Haven?"
She lets go of me and takes a step back. "Na I wanted to surprise you, and just call me Oma that's what everyone I know calls me." She has a silly smile. "Plus I wanted to get your stuff dropped off so we can hang out some." She's very energetic almost bouncing in place.
Before I could say anything another voice spoke up. "Next time you run off like that Oma I'm not cooking for a week." I see a lady with light blonde hair and mint green eyes walk up.
Oma looks distraught at that and start sputtering apologies. After a couple of seconds of giggling from me and the new lady she calms down.
Oma coughs into her hand and straightens up. "Any way before you two started your bullying of poor me. Iris I want you to meet my soon to be wife Shamurokku, but she goes by Sha because her names so long." Oma hugs the arm of Sha with a goofy grin.
I was a bit stunned my mum never told me anything about her getting married. Then again Oma was a few years younger than mum so had just assumed so was already married.
Sha sticks her hand out for a hand shake. "It's a pleasure to meet you Iris. I hope we get along." She looks all sorts of stiff, and has slightly worried look in her eyes. I look at Oma and I can see the worry in her eyes too.
It took me a moment to shake that off. I huff at Sha and just pull her into a hug making her go ridged in my arms. "It's nice to meet you I guess I got more family than I thought."
They were both a bit ridged for a moment before they both relaxed, and Sha hugged me back. "I guess you do sorry for being so stiff." Sha seemed so relieved then it clicked.
"What did you think I'd be mad or something?" I say trying to confirm my suspicions.
They look between each other seemingly pondering what to say before Oma spoke. "I just didn't know how you'd react to me marrying a human, and a female at that." She cringed when she said that.
I just look between the two of them with a confused expression. "Why would I care about that? She makes you happy right? She became a reason you get out of bed in the morning?" I ask already pondering if Faunus, Human relationships are looked down upon worse than in the show.
Sha just looks at me in shock, and Oma smiles at me. "Yes she does make me happy, and yes she is a pretty good reason to get out of bed." Looking much more happy and jovial than before.
Sha just looks like she needs a moment to reboot so I ask again. "Why did you think I'd have a problem with you two getting married?" Oma gives me a small smile. "Because I know a lot of Faunus, and Humans that don't really accept relationships between us two. Here isn't bad and Vale isn't ether, but everywhere else not so much. I was just worried on how you'd react." She rubbed her arm looking a bit guilty.
I give her a smile. "It's ok how about we go drop off my stuff, and go get lunch the bullhead food was terrible on my way here." I grab my cases and start walking along out of the air transport building.
Sha took one of my cases as they took me on a mini tour of some shops, and some restaurants as well as a nice little park. When we start going more, and more up the mountain I wonder where they are staying.
When I asked they said it was a surprise, so after almost thirty minutes of walking I nearly tripped over my feet when I saw their house. It's the house that Oz, Qrow, team RWBY, and team JNR stayed in when they where in Mistral!
I was absolutely floored when I saw this was in fact their house. "You live here? This is basically a little villa!" I was very surprised to say the least they got a good laugh out of my reaction.
Sha pulled out the keys to the place. "Ya I bought it up when the old owners lost it due to not paying bills, and stuff. Your room by the way is the last door on the left on the second floor." She swung the door open the place was beautiful it looked different because of decorations, and a newly build kitchen.
"You get settled in then we'll go out for lunch. I'll get the stuff ready for you to take over the house in Vale." Oma went to her room with a little skip in her step. I took my other suitcase from Sha, and went up to my room and lairs on the bed.
"This is it isn't it? The beginning of my own story." I smile as I feel so excited.
