SENATE MEETING 7AM

The meeting was just about to start. Padme felt nervous. Usually she knows what to say or plans what to say but this time she had no idea how she wants to start. She had no idea how will they vote the next chancellor but she had to think fast and start her speech. She done this many times but never felt this way about it.

There was silence in the room. Padme stood up and moved her repulsorpod to the middle of the room where everyone could she her. She looked around and started speaking.

"Some of you are probably confused why we are here this early in the morning. Some of you might have heard some rumors about the Chancellor Palpatine. Four days ago on the senate party we founded out that he isn't who we thought he was. He is Darth Sidius a Sith Lord. He is the leader of the separatist. He was misleading the republic for years now. But we haven't lost yet. We have to take things into our hands and pick a new chancellor for ourselves. We have to win this war for our people. And I know we can do that."

"There were a couple jedis at the party couldn't they caught the Sith." A senator asked.

"This isn't just a Sith Lord he is the master of Dooku. General Skywalker the most powerful Jedi they say. But Sidius manipulated him, he got into his head and almost killed him. A couple jedis from the council came but still he escaped. We shouldn't underestimate his powers. But we haven't lost everything. We still have hope. Now he revealed him self so he has no chance of getting information from the republic. We might have lost a battle but we'll recover from it and then we'll win the war!" Everyone started clapping. Padme's amazing speech had brought hope to everyone.

When the room became silent again a senator asked. "Who will the new Chancellor be?"

Before Padme could answer something Bail spoke up.

"Our best choice would be Senator Amidala." Bail said. "She has been here for a really long time and always cared about everyone. She is a great politician."

"Thank you Senator Organa but-"

"He is right. Senator Amidala has always been loyal to the republic. She would be the best Chancellor we could ever have." All the Senators agreed. Padme couldn't say anything. She didn't wanted to be the chancellor. She wasn't in that mental position to be. Be she couldn't step down anymore. She couldn't let them down.

The meeting ended. Padme became the new chancellor. Everyone seemed happy about it except her. She couldn't do. She couldn't spend all they long in her new office. She had to much work just as a senator but now she'll have more and no time for Anakin.

She quickly walked away from the other senators she didn't wanted to hear all the 'congratulations' she didn't have time for that. But Bail and Satine stoped her.

"Your speech was amazing." Satine said.

"Yes you did amazing out there." Bail nodded.

"Why did you had to do that Bail?"

"What?"

"I didn't wanted to be the new chancellor."

"That's what we need you because you're an amazing leader."

"But not right now I have to get my life together I can't do this and you know that."

"Padme-" he said with a calm voice.

"No Bail. I'm going to step down tomorrow." Padme said. She was furious.

"You can't do that. The republic needs you." Satine argued.

"Well then why don't you become the chancellor after watching your husband almost die because of you." Padme looked them in the eye. "I don't want to do this I want to be there next to him."

"Padme you can't just throw your life away because of him. He will recover but should continue your life. Not stop it until he wakes up. Don't do this. He would want you to stay on track, keep going. What if he wakes up and hears all the opportunities you missed because of him. He would feel awful. He would want you to be the chancellor. With you we can end this war faster." Bail looked at Padme but she couldn't look him in the eye because she knew he was right.

"Padme. Bail is right. He would want you to keep going don't stop. You will still have plenty of time to visit him." Satine said and went to hug her. This was a hug she really needed.

"But you have to help me because I don't think I can do this alone." Padme said.

"Was this ever a question?" Bail laughed.

"Thanks for everything."

"Let's get going there is someone waiting for you." Satine laughed and they stared heading towards the Jedi temple.
