As Ash went to go inside the cathedral to follow the hidden figure. Outside of the cathedral, The rain was coming down hard as Giovanni and his men continued their search for Felicia. Most of them went up to the gypsies to see if they were hiding her. They even started to take down tents and banners and take apart the stages. As gypsies left the square trying to make sure that none of the soldiers follow them back to their secret hideout. To see if Felicia went back to the court of miracles.

Felicia did not go back to the Court of Miracles at all. she went To go hide from Giovanni's soldiers in the church. Once she knew that it was safe to take off her disguise. Felicia and Rosemary were walking around the church as they were admiring the artifacts, paintings, and statues that were around the room.

Then Rosemary sensed that someone was following them so she jumped right in front of Felicia to protect her from the danger that was coming closer to them. Felicia was also alarmed that someone was behind her as well. So to protect herself she grabbed a nearby lamp and used it as a weapon. When she turned around she found Ash and his Pikachu that were coming up to her. Rosemary was giving his Pikachu a glare which meant if you come any closer I will shock you. "Woah easy I just want to help," he says as he keeps on moving out of the way so that Felicia didn't hit him. " I remember you. you are that man that helped us escape from the guards. Why did you do that" She said as she was trying to hit him. Then he grabbed the lamp which caused Felicia to fall on her back.

" you sneaky son" Felicia was about to say but Ash cut her off and said, " Hey watch your mouth we are in a church."He said as he used the lamp to point at her. " Will aren't you charming or am I just lucky?" She said as she grabbed a lamp and started to swing it at him. " Wait can you please listen to me? Me and Pikachu are just trying to help you and I am not here to arrest you," he said. " What makes you think I am going to believe that," She said as she swing the lamp again which almost hit him in the face, Then Ash placed the lamp that he grabbed from her and placed it behind him so that he shows her his hands that he was not carrying any ropes or anything that he will use to arrest. " See I have no weapons on me and I can't if I want to anyway. I don't want to because you didn't do anything that I need to arrest you for. So I am not going to arrest you and I understand that you were just trying to help that man. So do you believe me now" he asked

Once Felicia heard him say that he was not going to arrest her she started to calm down and placed the lamp down in its place. " Wait you are not going to arrest me but aren't you suppose to and will you get in trouble if you don't She asked.

" While I can't if you are in this church me, Pikachu, and the other soldiers can't harm you because the church protects everyone that comes in," he said.

" Wow you are different from the other soldiers," she said. As Ash and Felicia were still talking Ash felt something hit his stomach. He looked down and noticed that a female Pikachu was glaring at him and was about to do a headbutt on Ash's chest until Felicia picked her up to stop her from hurting him.

Then Ash noticed his Pikachu was about to use an iron tail on the female Pikachu but he picked him up to stop him. " Hey, Rosemary you can stop they are not going to hurt us or arrest us they are here to help us. Rosemary was surprised that this soldier was not going to arrest them. " Will if you are not going to arrest us, is there a reason that you are helping us? Please don't just tell me because I have a pretty face?" She said.

Ash's cheeks turned pink and looked away as he was scratching his cheek after she said that " Will I can't lie you are very beautiful but that is not the only reason why I am helping you. Is because you didn't do anything wrong and I understand that you were just trying to help that man and I don't agree with Giovanni's actions towards the gypsies.

" If you thought that the man needed help. Why didn't you help him," Felicia asked. " I did try to get permission from the judge but he said that he just wanted to teach him a lesson and he wasn't going to stop until that lesson was learned Ash explained to Felicia.

" huh I wonder what lesson he was teaching and he should have come up with a better way to teach him besides torturing him." Said, Felicia.

" I don't know why he was torturing him to teach him a lesson but you are right. That is not how you teach people. Ash said to her. " now that we have stopped fighting I can introduce myself Politely. Captain Ash at your service, my lady. What is yours it has to be something more beautiful than mine by the way. I loved your performance I haven't met anyone that can dance like that" Ash said with a bow.

" will thank you its takes practice to do all of those dances and my name is Felicia and my Pikachu is named Rosemary," She said. " I was right your name is so much more beautiful than my name, Felicia. Rosemary is also a beautiful name for a Pikachu as well. Your Pikachu is really strong too. I can still feel her headbutt on my chest" he said As he groaned in pain.

" oh sorry about that Rosemary doesn't like Soldiers." Said Felicia as she scratched the back of her head.

" Yeah I can tell, She did a great job as well even my Pikachu couldn't do all those moves," Ash said as he turned to look at his Pikachu who glared at him for saying that. " Sorry buddy but come on. You thought she was good too," he said to him. Felicia just laughed.

"Hey you have a nice name too Ash and the two of you are really cute together, do you know that Felicia said as she laughed "Yes we do know that, and thank you, While we are complementing each other the dance that you and your Pikachu did out there was very beautiful. Ash said as he felt nervous about giving a pretty girl a compliment about her dancing.

Felicia and Rosemary's cheeks turned red right after Ash gave them a compliment about their performance. " Thank you for loving our performance that was a sweet thing of you to say.

" of course, I also loved how you used your moves to get away from the guards which were cool. I see that you got a lot of experience in performing don't you". Ash said.

" thank you that is what I love about dancing that makes people like you happy and I hope one day that I can make everyone in Paris happy with my performance but of course, that is impossible because of our views of our beliefs". I just wish that people would just like us for who we are. It does not matter what we believe in or not. The festival of fools is pretty much the only time of the year that I can show off my dances, the other times of the year all I ever do is run and hide She said Sadly as she turned away from him. Not knowing that he will understand her pain. I only want to dance is that so wrong" she asked.

Ash and Pikachu felt bad for Felicia. They know that this was not right ever since he got here all he has been doing is hearing Giovanni talk badly about Gypsies. He didn't have his views on them either he thought that he was crazy and that he wanted him to hunt down fortune tellers. " I agree with you Felicia. When I sign up to do this job I didn't expect to hunt down innocent people. I thought I was sent here to take down criminals not hurt people that have different beliefs. I also agree the way that Giovanni is doing is directly not fair to you and your people. Felicia turned back to him and smiled at him and surprised to hear this coming from the captain of Giovanni's army. As She walked and smiled up to him and said " Will I see you understand, thank you for understanding that everything that Giovanni is doing is wrong" Felicia said as she walked over to him so that she can hug him.

Ash walked up to her and said Don't worry me and Pikachu will do whatever we can too~

Then before Ash could finish his sentence. Felicia's trust disappeared once she and Ash. Heard the doors to the church open. Felicia glared at him and thought that he tricked her.

When the doors of the church opened revealed Giovanni with two guards behind him. Ash looked behind him and notice the judge was behind him. " good work Captain you found the gypsy girl, Now arrest her" he ordered.

Ash just huffed "Really he had to show up at this very moment" he whispered. Once he looked at Felicia she was glaring at him. He turned to her and placed his hands on her shoulders and said "Please say you claim sanctuary please it's the only way that will stop them from doing anything. he begged. Hoping that she will believe him.

But by the look on her face, she didn't. " I knew I shouldn't have trusted you," she said as she glared her teeth in anger as she felt like she got betrayed. " please believe me say it you don't please understand I am only trying to" Ash tried to say but Felicia didn't let him finish she thought that he was lying to her. " why should I listen to you. I should have known all those nice things you said were all an act" she snapped at him. ' No, please. You got to believe me I didn't mean for this to happen" Ash tried to make her understand. until Giovanni was giving him the cold shoulder and rushing him to arrest Felicia.

Then Giovanni came up behind him waiting to arrest her "What are you waiting for captain arrest her already" said Giovanni.

Then Ash only had one choice he turned around to face the judge with his hands behind his back and said " I am sorry sir, she says that she claims sanctuary I can't do anything about it" Ash said he looked at the corner of his eye and saw Felicia still glaring at him.

Then Giovanni stormed over to them and said "Then take her and her Pokemon outside then" said Giovanni. Giovanni didn't have a chance to finish his sentence because Archdeacon Oak came out to help out with the problem. "Giovanni do not lean a hand on her" Oak shouted. Then he placed his hand on Felicia's shoulder and said " Don't you worry my child. Giovanni learned years ago to respect the rules of the church and he can't hurt you here." Oak said staring straight at Giovanni.

Giovanni glared at the archdeacon, knowing what he was talking about. The judge just scoffed and put his hand in the air which was a sign for his soldiers to leave. But when the coast was clear Giovanni went to go hide behind a column without anyone seeing him.

Ash was about to leave with the other soldiers when he turned back to look at Felicia and said " I am sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen to you" he tried to tell her but the Archdeacon grabbed him by the shoulder before he can speak to her. He was leading him toward the exit of the church. Then Ash turned to the Archdeacon and make sure that nothing bad happens to her.

" Hey, your Excellency. Can you put in a good word for me" Ash asked the archdeacon as he headed towards the exit. " you have nothing to worry about, My son. She will be in perfect hands. I will make sure that she is taken care of. Just so you know I heard your conversation with her earlier. I can see that you care about her safety and I will make sure that she knows" Said the Archdeacon.

" Thank you so much sir, also make sure that you take care of her Pikachu as well" Said Ash.

" As long as the lord lives she is in perfect hands and we will keep her safe here. I promise" said the Archdeacon.

Meanwhile, back inside the Church Giovanni came out from his hiding spot and sneakily took Felicia by her arm and twisted it which caused her to moan in pain. " You may have outsmarted me. But I know that Gypsies don't do well behind stone walls" He said as he smelled Felicia's hair which disgusted her. She turned to the judge and said what do you think you are doing" She asked as she was still in pain from him twisting her arm. " oh I was just imagining a rope around your beautiful neck" he said as he rubbed her neck. " That was not what you were thinking about," Felicia said as she threw him off of her neck. " Will you are a very clever witch, aren't you, using holey words to crowd the minds of many holey thoughts" he said to her which was scaring her a little. " Will Whatever you picked a very great prison. If you step outside these doors then you are mine. You got that" He said as he left the church. When the judge came out of the church he went up to Ash and said we have things that we need to talk about once we get back to the palace of justice" he said to him. " yes sir" Ash said as he followed Giovanni back to the palace of justice.

Felicia and Rosemary's faces calmed down now that they know that they are safe. After Giovanni left with Ash and the soldiers Felicia ran up to the door to see a man telling the other soldiers said that he wants every door around the church guarded. Then she shut the door and huffed as her Pikachu came up to her. " ugh I shouldn't have known not to trust the captain of Giovanni's army. But don't worry Rosemary we will get out of here. Now thanks to him we are stuck here. I was a fool to believe him. We just need to find a way out" Said Felicia as she sat on the floor and patted her Pikachu not knowing that the archdeacon was still in the room. " I wouldn't go there, my child. It will be a bad idea to make Giovanni angrier than he is now. Will you make a huge scene at the festival" Oak said as he came up to her?

" Will what was I supposed to do just let the townspeople torture him? I had to do something and you know what I will stand up to Giovanni again if I have to" Said Felicia as she was walking towards the archdeacon. " You know you are very different from all the other gypsies. You are very brave and the fire from your spirit really does shine " my child. But come I am sure you and your Pikachu are hungry come join us for supper" Said the archdeacon as he reached out his hand so that Felicia can grab it. Felicia was unsure about it because of how people of his kind viewed her, her people, and their Pokemon.

Then one of the nuns of the church told the archdeacon that supper was ready. " Wonderful me and our guests were just talking about it. So what do you say would you and your Pikachu join us for supper? I am sure that you will love whatever the chef is going to make today" The Archdeacon said.

" Are you sure that is a good idea to have dinner with you even though we think differently?" She said.

" of course, we have a big enough table for one more person and I don't want you and your Pikachu to be hungry so come on follow me to the dining room please you don't have to be scared of us we are here to help you and your Pikachu feel right at home here," Archdeacon Oak said.

Felicia got up from her position and started to follow the Archdeacon to a huge dining room that was filled with monks, nuns, and their Pokemon gathered around a large table. Felicia sat right next to the Archdeacon. There was a nun that placed Pokemon food right under Felicia's chair for Rosemary to eat. As Felicia was sitting she felt uneasy about eating dinner with people that are supposed to see her and her Pikachu as an enemy. Rosemary was also feeling uneasy as well as she was eating her Pokemon food.

The archdeacon noticed that Felicia was feeling uneasy and said " There is no need to feel uneasy my child" he said to her. Felicia looked up at him in surprise and said " No, me uneasy you got it all wrong" Felicia lied but the Archdeacon didn't buy it. " Come on I can tell that you don't feel comfortable I can tell by just looking at your face' The Archdeacon said to her. As they were talking the nuns were serving bread and stew to all the people at the table and giving all of the Pokemon their food as well. The Archdeacon raised his glass and told everyone that they have two special guests joining them for supper tonight. " Attention, everyone, we have special guests joining us for dinner tonight. He said as he turned to Felicia. The gypsy woman Felicia and her Pikachu Rosemary, let's give them a warm welcome. They are here because they have claimed Sanctuary from the justice minister. " he said as everyone raised their glasses as they were welcoming Felicia to the table;

Then the Archdeacon continued to have his talk with Felicia while everyone else was eating their food. He turned to her and asked. " Why do you feel uneasy with our friendliness and our hospitality," he asked.

Felicia took a bite from her food and said will you seem different from the other people that I have met in your faith" Felicia confessed.

The Archdeacon just chuckled and said "Well thank you I always found being different special. but our views and what you hear about the holey word is also different and there is no problem with that on how to view the world" he said to her.

" All of my life I thought that anyone from your faith is supposed to hate anyone that doesn't share your beliefs and you seem different from all the other people that I have met in your kind," she said.

The Archdeacon thought about what she said and he sees where she is coming from. " I had a feeling that you will see it that way that a person like me while helping out a gypsy even if our beliefs are different from what you and your people have been through. Let me tell you a story about the lord himself. Which I hope that will make you understand not everyone in my faith has the same views about Gypsies as Giovanni does. '' he said.

" So it's okay to believe in something even if there are those that don't she asked.

" That is not what I am saying to you. That is a great sin to believe in your own god. No matter what sin you had the lord will forgive them. Any religion can believe in the power of Christ. You just need to know it for yourself.

" Will I guess so? But then why there are people like Giovanni see that Gypsies should be imprisoned or dead? That is one thing that I don't understand. Why can't all of us just like each other without caring about what we believe in" Should all of us have the right to be free? It seems to me that you have no problem speaking about the faults that the people in your religion you make it sound like you don't mind talking bad about them" Felicia said.

" I would be a bad person if I didn't. He said then he continued. Some people say that they do follow God but they have a hard time seeing the truth for themselves sometimes they get false information. Even though the Bible says we all must be humble and love each other in fellowship. Even those that fall into pride and hatred" The Archdeacon said to her.

" So what do you think that gypsies should be imprisonment or be dead with their Pokemon as well," She asked.

" of course not. That just shows that hating someone for one sin just shows that all of us have sinned even those who follow him with passion.

" I guess I understand what you are saying. The reason why my people and Pokemon have been persecuted for all these years was that our oppressors say it is just something that your god wants you to do. Felicia said as she was trying to gather all of the information from the Archdeacon and made sure that she got it all right.

" You know before you were born. I have tried to talk to the citizens and teach humility and how we gain nothing by only loving those who love us. Some people have sincere hearts that want to overhold what the lord teaches us. But others like Minister Giovanni will twist the word around so that it will work for them. That has always been that way ever since Humanity begins to sin and it will continue to live on until the world ends. The only thing we can do is just trust God and let him be our guide and whatever he is doing is for the best" The Archdeacon said.

" I'm sorry all of this sounds strange to me. I still can't believe you and Giovanni share the same religion" Said Felicia as she hummed.

" I guess you find me and the captain a different breed of people huh," Oak said as he laughed.

Once Felicia heard him say the word captain a huge frown appeared on her face. Still not happy about what he did to her and her Pikachu for locking them up in the church". Please don't make me remember him. I will never forgive him for what he did to me and my Pikachu cause thanks to him we can't go home and I'm sure that Rosemary does not want to remember his Pikachu either and now thanks to them Giovanni has guards all around the church just waiting outside to arrest us. " she said.

Rosemary came from under the table and said Pikachu as she was agreeing with Felicia.

" Maybe. But I do hope that the two of you know that he and his Pikachu didn't mean to trick you. Cause he was the one that told Giovanni to give you sanctuary at the church, not you. So if I were you I would be more grateful. That shows that they care a lot about you two and I hope that you know that. Don't you worry about the soldiers outside as long as you stay inside the church you are safe.

Then Felicia and Rosemary both started to get nervous and ashamed thinking that Ash and Pikachu tricked them. Then she remembered the talk that they had with them before Giovanni came and remember all of the nice things that he said about her dancing and her name. She has been starting to understand why Ash and Pikachu did this for them is really to help them and she didn't see it but after doing some thinking, especially the talk they had. She decided to give him a chance as a friend.

" Will I suppose you are right I guess can see them as friends She said.

" oh not what I saw earlier, I don't think being a friend was on their mind, especially how you talked to them," he said.

" Wait how did you know that we were talking to them, were you eavesdropping on us," She asked.

" No, I was just walking by until I saw the four of you talking to each other. It is not very often that you see a soldier and a gypsy having a friendly conversation. But sorry it was just nice to see a soldier and a gypsy getting along with each other you don't see that very often in the house of god especially when they were praising your dancing. So, of course, I couldn't stop but overhear what you four were talking about and I can tell that you care about him too" he said.

" You sir, are a silly man," Felicia said

The Archdeacon just laughed and said " You are the last person to call someone silly. Will I don't think that you thought that it was silly how you felt when they were complimented on your dancing?

Felicia and Rosemary's faces just turned pink once he said that and knew that he was right. Then suddenly they heard the church bell ringing. Felicia turned to the Archdeacon and said. " ugh what is going on, What do those bells mean." Felicia asked.

" Will it be time for us to get ready for the evening mass? When the sun goes down it is the time for worship and prayer You can join us if you want. He asked. " so what are I and Rosemary supposed to do while all of you pray? Okay will God answer my prayer and how do I pray to him? She asked.

" if you don't want to pray there are other things you can do. You can rest, or look around. oh of course and god will answer anything that you want to ask him. Remember he is everywhere even when you can't see him. Let me show you how to pray. Just go to the row of pews that are on the stage of the cathedral then get down on your knees, clasped your hands, close your eyes and start speaking to him." he said.

Felicia was unsure about this she didn't feel comfortable doing this so she went up to the Archdeacon and said All due respect, Your Excellency me, and Rosemary can not thank you enough for all you have done for us tonight, we still don't know if we should do this".

" oh, there is no rush you can take as long as you need. But there is nothing to be worried about. Just think it over. Let me know when you made up your mind" he said as he walked away for a minute so that Felicia can think.

So after some thinking, Felicia took a deep breath and thought that she could try something new and never know maybe she will like it. " So let me get this straight all I have to do is pick one of the rows of pews, kneel, clasp my hands, and then all I have to do is pray.

She walked up to the stage and noticed that there were paintings of characters that are in the Bible and a gold cross standing right in the middle.

"So am I supposed to pray to these paintings? As you can tell I am very new at this" she said.

" oh don't worry it's your first time and no you do not have to look at anything just pray and you never know miracles happened when you don't expect them.

. Will I have to go it was nice talking to you Felicia and have a great evening" he said as he left." he said. Then the Archdeacon left so that Felicia can be alone with God.

After the Archdeacon left to get ready for the evening mass. Felicia was alone with her Pikachu she was looking for a good spot for her to pray but not just for her it is for everyone that Giovanni has hurt. So she looked around to see if no one was around to see her except for Rosemary.

Then she turned to see Rosemary at her feet. She took another deep breath and said " Will here goes nothing" She said as she was looking for a good place for her to pray.

When she found a good spot to pray which was a row of pews that were far from each other. she did what the archdeacon said which was to get down on her knees and clasped her hands. Then she started to pray.

Dear God

The Archdeacon told me that I can come to you for anything and I don't know if you will listen to a gypsy prayer but aren't we all the children of god? Not just me and my Pikachu but everyone on earth. I am not just praying for me and my Pikachu. I am here so that I can ask you to help my people and Pokemon to come out of hiding and make them feel like they can be themselves without getting into trouble. I and my Pikachu ask for nothing but a better view of the gypsies and their Pokemon let them give them the love and the fellowship that they deserve.

Felicia took a deep breath so that she can think of something else to pray for until she remembered her feelings for Ash and Rosemary's feelings for Pikachu. I am not asking anything for me and for my Pokemon except for one thing. The feelings that we have for Ash and Pikachu tell me are these feelings real or are we just imagining it, But if these feelings are real, help us see them and give us a chance that we will see them again but in a new light. Rosemary rubbed Felicia's leg which was a way to thank her to ask for her feelings for Pikachu who just gave her a head nod.

Then her mind turned to Sophocles. I also ask those that are differently treated with respect, not just my people but everyone that seems different like that poor man Sophocles, please try to help him as well, Please give us the chance to be free from the pain and suffering that others had done to us. Let us live in a world where anyone different can have a happy life without being punished. Let people see us for who we are. Let the world know that it is okay to be different.

After she was done praying she looked up at the ceiling as she lowed her head and sat on her bottom, as she closed her eyes and let out a huge sign happy that she got everything that she has been holding onto can come out of her system. Grad that she has asked for everything that she had in her mind was gone. Rosemary was also happy that Felicia did this so to show her how grateful she is. She went up to Felicia and licked her hand. Felicia looked up to look at her Pikachu and gave her a sad smile and pull her into a hug.

Wow, this has to be one of the best chapters that I have ever written. I got to say I am pretty impressed with myself on how this chapter turned out. I am actually excited to work on this story again. But it may take a while because of my other stories, gaming, and work. I don't even care other people will hate it. To me, it is just perfect. But if you don't like this chapter or this story I won't care. I just write for fun and lets me express myself in a way that I always wanted to be. In the next chapter, Felicia and Rosemary will make friends with the bellringer. I actually give Ash and Pikachu love interests of their own. They will also have a love interest in my other stories as well. While Sophocles helps Felicia and Rosemary escape from the church. What will happen if Giovanni discovers that she had escaped? Will Sophocles fall in love with the gypsy girl. We will find out in the next chapter of my vision of Pokemon's hunchback of notre dame. I also like to say that I am sorry for how bad my spelling and grammar are.
