Chapter 24b: Harpy: Overwhelmed Angel by kirbymanx/huskynator
F1 - Auditorium
"Go Harp, Go!" Panotty whisper cheered as his friend gracefully glided down on stage. She threw off the Peruvis wig and wing mits, making Panotty gulp. "You should've kept those on, Harp..."
Everyone who knew of Harpy in the audience made those who didn't know go into the same panic as them. Harpy hovered, closed her eyes and opened her mouth.
Those quick-witted amongst the audience threw things to make her stop singing by throwing continuous produce at the angel. Which she didn't notice.
Coach Satan ran on stage and grabbed Harpy by the arms and locked them behind her back and grounded her.
Harpy yelped out as it happened, and in that yelp a tomato got thrown into her mouth, shutting her up. And most sighed out of relief.
Harpy tried to muffle that Coach Satan should let him go, that she should let her sing. But even if the coach could hear her through that tomato, he couldn't hear through what little remained of the audience vitriol towards Harpy and her singing.
"Boooooo!"
"Harpy's too nice a name!"
"You suck!"
"Get off stage!"
"You can't do anything right!"
"Boooo!"
"Nobody likes you!"
Etc. This went on for a while.
"Liars!" Harpy said muffled through the tomato. Dodging another tomato. "My singing is just so special that none of you wanna hear it."
"Now, Miss Harpy." Satan tried to calm her down while taking her to a backstage exit. "Please come along quietly. You're not allowed to sing here."
"But I applied!" Harpy still had the tomato in her mouth. "Please let me sing, please!" Harpy was taken out of the auditorium. Panotty tried to track her down.
F3 - A Spare Classroom (Makeshift Detention Room)
Panotty found Harpy. Looking through the room's window showed him Harpy still in Peruvis' jacket and skirt. She's bitterly eating a tomato.
The angel was bargaining and pleading what was done to her was wrong. "Be that as it may, Harpy, that gives you no right to crash the event like that!"
"But I applied!" Harpy angrily shouted. Making the windows the windows in the classroom vibrate.
Satan, with a boost of adrenaline, dashed towards his student with his devil wings so he could shut her mouth with his hands. "Ssshhhh." He gestured. Nervously nudging his head to the hallway.
The detention room's window has a good look at the glass walls of the school's open roof garden and also Panotty hiding from the devil that is his gym teacher's sight. "Have you forgotten what Principal Akuma talked to you about this? No singing near the garden."
"But plants love my singing… Not my fault glass explodes." Harpy said, feeling heavy and looking at the ground.
"Pah. I'm calling Ai, Doctor Ai, and I'll be waiting for him outside. Stay here. And don't even think about jumping out of the window to fly away." The adult devil pulled out his phone and left the room so he could go to the hallway. "You, there." He casually but mildly intimidatingly pointed at one of his newest students.
"M-me?" Panotty stuttered. Fearing punishment from this devil coach.
"Yes, you. I've heard through the grapevine you are Harpy's best friend. At the very least I have seen you two hang out before. Am I correct assuming this?"
"Y-Yeah."
"Excellent! Please keep your friend occupied, and don't even think about any funny businesses. You know what I'm talking about. Do this right and I might owe you a favor. Will you accept?"
"Um… Sure. Of course, for Harpy."
"Marvelous, oh to be a magical forest elf and not hearing the siren sing." He covered his ears recalling it.
"Harpy is not a siren!" Panotty got riled up for Harpy.
"She's not exactly a harpy either." The coach sarcastically quipped as he navigated his contacts. "What cruel parents."
Panotty had the same thought once. Until he met them that one time. Regardless, he entered the room.
This whole time Harpy kept an eye on the coach. She's happy her little elf friend finally entered the room. She opened her arms for him and walked towards him. "'Notty~" She lifted him up.
"Hehe… Sorry I got you in detention." Panotty let his guilt be known.
"It's alright, 'Notty. It's not your fault they're being unfair." Panotty was happy she wasn't angry at him, but Harpy was left in a worse situation thanks to him…
The two went a bit quiet. Both tried to listen in to the auditorium they could vaguely hear. Panotty's nerves tensed up as he felt Harpy tense up herself. He heard her vocal cords make noise. But none left the angel's mouth. Several things she clearly repeated though.
"Harp?" Harpy didn't notice what he said. She was staring off into the general direction of the contest. Kept repeating things to herself "Harp? HARPY!" He yelled that one.
"Eee!" Harpy jumped at that one. "S-Sorry, was thinking about the contest again."
"But when you usually zone out you're in a happy place. You okay?"
"I heard some… mean words. That's all. Sticks and stone may break my bones, but at least I still have my wings." Panotty has never heard such a saying, he's got a strong suspicion she made it up.
"Attention, you two." Satan poked his head through the door. I spy Doctor Ai around the corner. "You'd better be along your way, Panotty. You two can meet up later."
"See ya, Harp."
"Take care, 'Notty." Harpy nervously waved him good-bye.
"You too, Harp."
The two didn't see each other for the rest of the day. They texted each other to confirm everything was okay. Both missed out on the competition. Harpy, due to seeing Doctor Ai. And Panotty didn't feel right watching it while Harpy wasn't there.
He just quietly played the flute to himself on the roof.
When Harpy got home she heard her bed calling to her. She felt really heavy. No singing, no treating people to her angelic voice… Getting dragged off unjustly after being unjustly being left off the list.
It made Harpy cry. She feels like she's been done dirty. The girl grabbed the biggest pillow on her bed and gave it a big hug, as well as abusing it with some angry slams of her fists.
"I!" Slam! "Don't!" Slam! "SUCK!" Slam!
"I!" Slam! "Can!" Slam! "Do!" Slam! "Things!" Slam! "RIGHT!" Slam!
"EV!" Double slam! "VER!" Double slam! "Y!" Double slam! "BOD!" Double slam! "DY!" Double slam! "LIKES!" Double slam! "MEEEEEEEEEE!" Rapid slamming!
The angel felt lightheaded letting out those frustrations about those… those… hecklers' """critiques""". She wasn't used to being this angry.
Their lies have been echoing through her head since she's been dragged off. They had no reason why they would lie to her like that. They had to be jealous!
Harpy rambled herself until she fell asleep.
But even in her dreams, she continued…
F0 - Outside(/Entrance)
Harpy entered through the gates of Primp High School. Flying as usual, carrying a paper shopping bag. The girl didn't particularly feel with it today. She swore if she didn't have wings, she walked instead, she felt like she would've been hit by a car on her way here.
She landed and yawned. Her yawn made a lot of people aware of her. A lot of them gave her spiteful glares, distanced themselves even farther from her than usual, or both.
Even Harpy found it a little strange. How could they back away in her amazing prowess when they didn't even get to hear how amazing she's gotten? "Unless… It's true that nobod-"
"Harp!" Harpy got distracted by:
"'Notty!~"
"How are you feeling?" Panotty calmly asked with concern.
Harpy giggled. Ruffling the elf's hair. "I didn't get much sleep, but I'm okay."
She failed to convince her friend but he didn't let her catch onto that. "What's in the bag?"
"Huh?" She instinctively lifted the bag up. "Oh, I've come to bring devil girl's roomy clothes back."
"BWAHAHA!" Harpy joined in the laughter. She didn't get it though.
F1 - Supernatural Prevention and Recognition Class
SPaRC is a difficult class for most. Especially for those with no magical abilities like most of the students in school. All the students were deeply focused on it. Even the crumpling of paper didn't disturb any of them.
Harpy wasn't an exception. "Umm…" It didn't mean it came easy to her though. "Kuh." She grunted. A crumpled piece of paper was forcefully thrown at her head. It bounced from her head to her desk. She picked it up. "Somebody lose this piece of paper?"
The class largely gave a frustrated "Ssssssh!"
The Hallways
On her way to the next class she got pelted a lot more, it was case by case if she noticed it or not. She heard Ally, Jaan, and maybe a few others say "no" a lot for some reason behind her. The girl flew on to the next class.
The same thing happened.
F1 - Canteen
Harpy happily ordered a salad from the nice lunch robot and sat down in the more empty canteen than usual. Harpy noticed it didn't really matter in the end. Her table was usually always empty anyways on any day Panotty isn't here to share lunchtime.
"…Huh. When Panotty Isn't..." She stared at her favorite salad, and for some reason… she didn't feel like she could chew on it like she always could. One piece of lettuce felt like twenty for some reason. "Does nobody really like me?…" She quietly whispered to herself. It hurt to say.
Over at the tables at the other side of the canteen, the cheerleaders were sitting together. They were listening to Amitie and Draco rambling over how they felt robbed. Some cheerleaders are more willing to hear them out than others.
"I practiced so hard." Amitie both frustratedly and solemnly whined. "I practiced very hard to be a better singer. First I was just worried Silvie couldn't make it. But then Harpy showed up and scared the audience away. If my family didn't stick I would've practiced for no one." She was effectively crying.
"What she said! They should hear that my voice is the prettiest just like my faaaaace!" Draco roared. Being the far more angry of two cheerleader contestants.
Ally tried to comfort them like she always would for anybody. She got where they were coming from. This act of Harpy did make them feel unloved. And that's something she cannot help to correct the best she can.
Jaan wanted to correct it too. As she feels guilty for being an accomplice to this turmoil to her cheerleading pals. It was shortsighted of her to help Harpy. She is thinking about how to best make it up to them.
But she couldn't do it by taking revenge on Harpy for them, that would feel wrong too. The half-genie and angel weren't close or anything, but they're on decent terms and she does know her well enough to know making Harpy sad is like making a cute kitten that's broken a few vases sad.
That's always been her impression of her. She can't do anything to the angel that would satisfy her wronged fellow cheerleaders.
Regardless she's not gonna admit it's her fault too.
Ally looked at Harpy on the other side of the room, she was looking at her more sympathetically than her friends would. The angel sat there quietly, unaware of the paper planes stuck in her hair.
"Ugh." Ess made disgusted sounds. "Please don't tell me you're going to help that banshee, are you? Must you always help those nobody likes?"
Ally wasn't offended by Ess' comment. But it did pep her up and make her reaffirm that what she's doing is right. "Because everyone deserves love, Ess!" Ess groaned at that statement. She always says that.
Jaan had her mind made up. "I'm gonna talk to Harpy too!" That action made Amitie feel abandoned, Draco more angry, Raina glad she chose to text to her sister instead of listening, and Ess groan.
Buzz-Bzz-Buzz-Buzzzzz
That was Jaan's phone. As Ally went ahead, Jaan read:
Yo jaan. I'm in detention for admitting it was my fault. Can you look after harp? I'm worried and your a girl you prolly can help her better then I can.
Jaan nodded, replied, and she floated to Harpy.
Less than half-a-minute ago, Ally joined at Harpy's table. Harpy raised an eyebrow. "Ally?"
"That's me~" Ally replied with a smile.
"Why would sit next to me? You help sad peo…" Harpy caught herself. "Find someone who's sad. I'm not sad." She deflected.
"Don't lie, Harpy." Jaan magically side-flipped into the seat next to the angel. "You're sad. You can tell us why." The genie said already knowing why.
"Hmm…" Harpy explained/admitted she still felt robbed singing. "If I didn't know any better, I'd think nobody wants me to serenade them. I get stopped all the time…" She kept her eyes on her mostly untouched salad.
Jaan and Ally looked into each other's eyes. Non-verbally discussing who should break it to her. Or whether if they even should…
Before they spoke, Harpy, on auto-pilot, didn't mean to say it but she did, said; "But it makes no sense. I have a beautiful voice. Singing makes me happy and I wanna spread that happiness…"
Ally gave the Angel a big hug, as she would anyone who needed help feeling loved. The angel was a little surprised by the human's action. But she didn't fight it. A hug was what she needed.
Jaan looked at Harpy while holding her with one arm while helping Ally pluck the paper airplanes out of the hair. 'She really does think her singing is good?' She was never sure herself.
"Harpy. I love how pure you are." Ally genuinely admired. "Is there something else you really love doing?"
"What do you mean by that?" Harpy slightly faced Ally, tilting her head.
"I mean there has to be something else you're good at that makes you happy and you can make others fall in love with your work."
Harpy tried thinking. She tapped her finger against her temple trying to reach. "Uuuumm…"
The girls to her side waited in anticipation.
"Hmm..." The gravity around Harpy got heavier once again, distressing Ally. "I don't think so…"
"Oh, gosh!" The human exclaimed. She held the angel's hands. "We've gotta fix it." Ally said with passion. "How about we go discover a secondary talent some time. How about it?"
"Um…Uh…"
"Do it, Harpy. Your singing isn't…" Jaan bit her lip. "Good."
"What!?" Harpy yelped. "Jaan… Not you too."
Jaan gritted her teeth. "I'm sorry… But you can get better. I think. And maybe looking for a new talent wouldn't be so bad?"
'…I can't do anything right…'
"What do you say?" Ally metaphorically reached out her hand to the widely disliked angel.
Harpy stared at the literal hand Ally stuck out. She was contemplating while not thinking about it. "Um… Is it okay, if I think about it first, Ally?" She nervously answered. "I'm too sad to think…"
Ally nodded. "I understand. But please immediately come to me if you need help." Ally said pumped up, with several poses as she stood up.
"Okay…" Harpy sighed so hard she felt even more deflated. Jaan patted her shoulder.
"I'm sorry, Harpy." She's sorry for a few things. "Um… I think next week I can grant you a small wish."
"Can I wish to not feel sad anymore? I don't like this…"
Jaan pulled a sour face. "C-Can't do that. But I can give you something else."
"Hmmm…" 'I can't do anything right…'
That's when the bell rang, lunchtime was over. Jaan told Harpy she'll be okay. But Harpy caught something that she didn't even know the word of that made her doubt her friend's words.
She made a cynical remark. It just… happened... It scared her a bit. That was mean of her to herself.
Harpy gave the uneaten salad back to the canteen robot and went onto the next class.
And the paper harassment and looks didn't stop.
Harpy was starting to notice.
'Nobody likes me…'
The Hallways
The day continued with the paper pelting. The stares. The whispering behind her back that sounded more and more unflattering the more she heard it. The avoiding. Harpy felt continuously tense.
'You suck!'
'You can't do anything right!'
'Nobody likes you!'
And those nasty words kept repeating in her head. She feared if she wasn't careful, she'd believe it sooner than later…
Harpy had a realization, she elevated a few centimeters in the air from it.
She flew to the nearest girl bathroom to look in a mirror. Once inside she took a good look at her face. "Ew…" 'I-I look so… sad…' She's never seen herself so dour in fact.
No smile on her face, no passion in her eyes. And she just noticed her wings have been folded for a while now.
She barely recognized herself. She held her own shoulders. Harpy gulped, which put her attention to her voice box. Involuntarily put a lot of pressure on her jaw muscles.
She cleared her throat. "Dooo-RRRRREEEEEE-mmmmmmmm…" Harpy moaned.
It sounded exactly the same as normal. And they avoid this singing? 'I can't do anything right…' Her head hurt, she clasped it, it felt so overwhelming. Harpy wished it was bedtime already.
The school day passed, Jaan and Ally kept offering their help here and there, but Harpy declined them.
She sadly couldn't reunite with Panotty. He's still in detention. They texted on the phone.
Panotty: Are you okay Harp
Harpy: Yeah
Panotty: Can probably play in the park
Panotty: Wanna?
Harpy: No
Panotty: ?!
Panotty: Why not?
Panotty: Are you sure your okay
Harpy: I feel a little dizzy
Harpy: Going hom
Panotty: Okay
Harpy: Home
Harpy: See you tommorrrow noddy
Panotty: It's not you're fault Harpy
Harpy left the conversation there. She didn't wanna say much more.
'Is 'Notty one of those who doesn't like me?' That potential gave her a shock to her core. The idea of her best friend not liking her…
She needed to go to her bed and watch documentaries about birdies to get a load off her mind.
F0 - Outside(/Entrance)
Harpy did feel a bit refreshed after her sleep. She felt like she could smile again, even if she's not fully there yet. But she did feel better, she felt like she could fly.
She'd sing to lift her spirits… 'No…' Couldn't bring herself to it yet. They're still averting her… 'Nobody likes me.'
"Haaaaarpy!" Panotty ran up to Harpy, so happy to see she was looking okay.
"'Notty~" She landed and crouched so the elf had an easier time to jump in for a hug.
The hug made Harpy smile. Usually, she's just hugging him. But this hug back was nice. She let out a peaceful moan. Without words, she knew Panotty still liked her.
"Are you okay?
"I'm fine, 'Notty." She said in a genuine tone Panotty believed. Though he wondered for how long.
As the day went on, when separated from Panotty, the one person at the moment she felt secure with, any optimism and happy thoughts were becoming sparse again.
'This day is gonna be the same as yesterday…' Harpy lamented. And her suspicions are right, just with more Panotty. Which did help. They shared a break again which was nice. They gleefully played tag.
"Umm…" Harpy looked around her while chasing. 'Nobody likes me…' The stares of everyone around her. They always had this look to her playing tag with the elf. The 16-year-old angel wondered why. She landed.
Panotty waddled back. "Tag over, are you feeling okay?"
"…I wanna go back inside…" Panotty complied. Harpy kept feeling leered at.
F1 - Hallways
The two were on their way from the hangout room to the canteen to get something to eat. It was Panotty's suggestion. Harpy didn't feel very hungry again.
The elf tried to break the ice by suggesting to go to the garden on floor 3 instead. Talking about their environmentalist views instead. Or try to spot some birdies on the roof. Something to make her smile again.
But those plans were tossed aside when they bumped against someone around the corner.
"Youchie."
"Ouchie."
"Ouch."
Harpy and Panotty bumped into Peruvis. The latter dropped her instrument case because of it.
"My precious keytar!" The devil from the junior class yelped as she opened the case to see if it got a crack or something.
"I'm sorry." Harpy apologized non-verbally offering to help the older devil out.
Peruvis's head turned to the sound of Harpy's voice. She reached out for her hand, if begrudgingly, she let out a groan-y sigh. "Cheers-" She cut herself off when she saw Harpy and Panotty in a defensive position. Peruvis SLAPPED Harpy's helping hand away much to Harpy's shock. "You lot!"
When Peruvis is angry she attracts a lot of attention. And today is no different. She stood up on her own while vindictively staring at Harpy and Panotty as the school watched.
Harpy backed off from the angry devil girl, but Panotty stood his ground guarding the angel.
"Have you any idea what you did!? What you featherbrained dingbats have caused me thanks to your massive cock up, you bloody pieces of trash!?" Peruvis aggressively ranted.
"Wh-What?" Harpy was afraid of the angry purple-haired girl.
"Don't listen to her, Harp!" Panotty kept defending. "It's my fault."
But before Harpy could say or even think, the furious devil Peruvis had more to say. "LIKE THE COLD UNFEELING ABYSS IT IS!" Harpy landed, crouched, and hid behind Panotty to be safe from the angry girl's mean words.
Panotty kept a brave face staring down the devil but internally he is rather threatened by the angrier than usual musician. Not helped by Harpy shivering behind him!
"Because of you sods no one was there to watch me stretch my amazing singing voice! YOU NIMRODS! SCARED MY MATES AWAY, AND NO ONE WHO STAYED RECORDED MY PERFORMANCE! I WANTED TO BLOW THEM AWAY WITH MY PERFORMANCE! NOW I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR!"
The angel, elf, and onlookers felt the devil's anger towards the two. If her teeth were grinding any further she'd need a dentist. More unnerving is that a bursting blood vessel on her forehead were visible.
"Ya could have a private perfor- Kuuh!"
"'Nooootty!"
Panotty was swatted aside by Pervuvis' hand like he was nothing. Harpy was scared out of her wits at the looming devil winding up her arm for a punch.
"Waaaaaah!" Harpy cried.
But out of nowhere a well-known rock song from 20 years ago started playing from Peruvis' pocket, distracting the musician. Harpy crawled and tended to Panotty while she was.
"Ugh." The devil groaned, she didn't bother to look at who's calling. "WHAT!?" She roared. "Oh, I'm sorry, love~" Her tone took a sharp turn. Closer to her usual unimpressed tone but combined with an apologetic and affectionate tone.
"'Notty are you okay?" Harpy said checking for a boo-boo. Panotty lied via a groan.
"I've just been extra angry lately and I have no gobsmacked idea why! It just happens sometimes!" Peruvis said to the other side while playing with her hair. "Can you hang on a sec, love?" She pressed the on-hold button. "Okay, listen up, you sods." The harsh tone came back.
Harpy and Panotty jumped when Peruvis turned her head back to them.
"Since you're so daft, and this school seems too nice to tell you straight up, let me spell it out for you: Nobody likes you and you suck!"
"What?" Those statements stabbed the angel's heart several over.
"You heard me." Peruvis said coldly. "Your singing makes me wanna die!"
"Aauuaaah?!"
"Anyone else?!" Peruvis asked around her for validation.
"Die is a harsh word."
"My ears hurt looking at her…"
"She never stops!"
"Like dying is going too far, but I sure wish she wasn't in the same country as me…"
"How is anyone that bad?"
"Go away, Harpy!"
"Are there pills to lower decibels? Because you need it, Harpy…"
"FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT!"
Etc.
Any supporting or neutral opinions were drowned out. Even with Panotty's hug Harpy retreated into her head.
"Good to know I'm not mad!" As in crazy. Peruvis threw out her arms in vindication. "Screw you, angel!" She said to the winching and quivering Harpy's ears "Screw you and your voice! Harpy is the right name for you since all you're good for is screeching like one, your parents must've loved you oh so dearly naming you that!"
Peruvis was successful in ripping off another layer of Harpy's beliefs. "H-Harpy means… People mean… I-Is that why they-"
"SHUT UP! Once more time!: SCREW YOU, YOU SCREECHING PIECE OF TRASH! And I'm keeping your deceptively expensive, pretty white dress, SCREW YOU, YOU DON'T DESERVE IT!"
Harpy whimpered as a not-insignificant amount of onlookers clapped.
Peruvis gestured the I'm-watching-you motion twice, once to Harpy and then to Panotty. The devil resumed the call. "LOVE, I NEED A CUDDLE TODAY! I COULD REALLY USE IT!" … "I ONLY HAVE ANGER ISSUES WHEN PEOPLE TELL ME I HAVE ANGER ISSUES!" … "I'm so shaken." … "Love you."
Some figures who felt for Harpy tried to reach out their hands, but Panotty swatted them away as he dragged the girl who retreated into her head to a place where they could be alone. She was conscious but didn't respond.
'Nobody likes you and you suck.'
'You suck!
You can't do anything right!
Nobody likes you!
You suck!
You can't do anything right!
You suck!
You can't do anything right!
You suck!
You can't do anything right!
Nobody likes you!
Nobody likes you!
I suck…
Nobody likes me…
I can't do anything right…
Nobody likes me…
I can't do anything right…
I suck…
Nobody likes me…
I suck.
Nobody likes me.
I can't do anything right.'
Ҽʍɑ-μɑ μɑ-μɑɑɑ
Suddenly within this overwhelming wave of grief, Harpy felt that grief doubled out of nowhere. She kept repeating a few things to herself.
Panotty was extra worried for his friend. He got knocked into a wall, but Harpy was in a worse position in his opinion. She was so upset. Harpy kept groaning several things over and over again in an increasingly erratic order and tone.
She was increasingly upsetting herself. Panotty immediately set his goals to bring her to counseling. The nice Vice-Principal Accord or Dr. Ai could probably put her at ease.
'I suck!
Nobody likes me!
I can't do anything right!'
Ҽʍɑ-μɑ μɑ-μɑ-μɑ-μɑɑɑ
Harpy's grief intensified yet again.
"NO!" Harpy yelled full of rage and tears.
Panotty jumped at the sudden movement the angel did. Flapping out of her friend's grasp and flying down the hall turning many heads. "Harp? Aaaaaaooooww!" Panotty tried to run after her, but Peruvis hurt him in just the right way that made it hurt to run.
'I'll make the whole school hear me sing!' This rage made Harpy focus on her end goal. This goal she just decided on the spot.
The angel zoomed across the school up until she reached Coach Satan's office. Harpy angrily slammed Satan's office door, the grown devil jumped in surprise, making him throw his documents in the air with a "Iiieeeeeya!" sounding yelp.
Harpy snatched the TWO megaphones off her coach's wall and flew off again.
"Hey! Put those back, little angel! OHNO!" Satan just realized who just stole those megaphones. He erected his wings and gave chase.
People looked on as this indoor pursuit transformed into an outdoors airborne chase.
"I trained your wings too well! How are you this fast!?" Satan screamed in desperate anger.
Harpy didn't say anything, not that she could hear, she needed to shake this guy off.
She needed to sing to prove herself. "Hiya!" She threw one of the megaphones against Satan's head.
"How-" The head bonk successfully causes Coach Satan to crash in a hedge. Harpy swiped the megaphone before it could fall down with its owner. She held it in front of her.
"COME JOIN ME ON THE ROOFTOP! I'M GONNA SING THE BEST I CAN FOR ALL OF YOU!" She yelled from outside the school flying around.
Inside the building, several people had already noticed Harpy with no less than two megaphones. Word reached Principal Akuma! "What, two megaphones, kumakumamamama!" The possessed plush, a little panicked, slammed the alarm button.
The intercom screeched through the building: ATTENTION, MAMAMAKUMA!: ANY AND ALL NON-MAGICAL OR NON-SPECTRAL BEINGS SHOULD EVACUATE THE BUILDING IMMEDIATELY WITH THEIR EAR COVERED, KUMA! DON'T RUN NEAR ANY GLASS! REPEAT: NON-MAGICAL OR NON-SPECTRAL BEINGS SHOULD LEAVE NOW, KUUUMA! EVERYONE SHOULD COVER THEIR EARS AND STAY AWAY FROM GLASS! THIS IS NOT A DRILL, KUMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMA!
Harpy huffed venom at the sight of the majority of the school retreating home! The nice shouty bear yelled away her audience. "YOU BIG MEANIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!" She yelled through one megaphone with a false note last syllable. Freaking out everyone still inside since the windows visibly cracked. "For those who want to hear me sing, meet me on the roof!"
Inside, Panotty was speed walking to the roof. He had to talk Harpy out of it the best he can. Jaan happened to fly by. "Panotty, what's going on?" She panicked.
Primp High School's Roof
Harpy impatiently stood waiting on the roof of one of the stairs leading up to the roof. Ready to sing for anyone who still wanted her to sing.
Only three showed up. Jaan carrying Panotty, and Principal Akuma. All three of them are supernatural. Not that Harpy took note though. "'Notty! Jaan!" She smiled for the first time since her rage started. "You came~"
Jaan put Panotty down and the hurting elf spoke. "Harp! Please, don't sing. Don't do it!"
That pierced her angel heart. "No… Not you 'Notty."
"Please stop, you'll make people literally deaf!" Jaan was really tensed up for whatever Harpy's about to do. Fearing any damage she could cause.
"Jaaaaaaannnn…" Harpy winched. 'Nobody likes me!'
Akuma tried to de-escalate the angel. "Quit your foolishness, Harpy, kumamama! Don't-"
"STOP CALLING CALLING ME HARPY!" Harpy stomped her feet. "THAT'S NOT MY NAME!" She yelled through a megaphone. Breaking the glass walls of the stairs to the roofs and the glass walls of the open roof garden.
Panotty, Jaan and Akuma winced at the noise. And on that's top of the confusion the former two had. Not her name? That's the first time Panotty and Jaan heard of this.
Akuma prayed everyone else was safe from her. He prayed for the pink-haired, canary yellow-winged angel too. "Such grief." The Principal mumbled to himself in tranquil fury. "He got to her..."
"Then tell us!" Panotty pleaded, desperate for his nameless friend to just calm down again! "What's your name?"
"IT'S… IT'S… Issuh… uuuuhhhmmmm." Her body language loosened a bit. The three were relieved that they seemed to finally reached this point.
The girl tried to recall it…
But she couldn't.
Thinking about this fact made her angrier and angrier.
She put both megaphones in front of her mouth. The elf and genie duck-and-covered and Akuma's body went limp, his being has left the body to hide away from the noise. "WHY SHOULD TELL YOU WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
It was done. The angel had the yelling out of her system… Yelling was no singing, but it had to do… She opened her eyes, caught her breath, and looked at all the damage around the school such as the car crashes and the broken windows. She caused this… She looked down at her friends.
…
