Chapter 8: The Second Crystal
(Violet Queen's Palace)
Within the Violet Queen's Palace, Kiriko walked into the throne room to speak to her master as she approached and kneeled before him, bowing her head in respect. "My liege, I have news that must be heard." She informed him.
"I am eager to hear it, my queen. What news do you bring me?" Shenrah asked her.
She looked upon him in his stone form to give him the answer she has. "Your Power Crystal has been found." She informed him.
This in fact, pleased the stone dragon as he hissed in delight. "Ahhh, the crystal that contains my infinite power, long have I awaited to receive it. To feel the extent of my full power, not this mere sliver within me." He mentioned as he looked upon his beautiful queen. "Gather Jason and Ahote, they have a mission." He ordered.
"At once, my liege." Kiriko replied to him.
"But be sure to warn them of the guardian of the temple, there are modern Earth Kaiju that protect the crystal. And will do anything to protect it." Shenrah reminded her.
"Duly noted, but do you suppose that Ryosuke Kanbara and his fellow guardians will interfere?" She asked him.
"If they do, then we will need additional resources." He replied.
Meanwhile within the dining hall, The Vanguard were helping themselves to a delicious meal that consisted of all cultures. Ahote meanwhile was gorging himself with two heads as he munched on every piece of meat, especially the bones as he ate them whole. Much to May's and Kimberly's disgust as they watched him eat like an animal. "Must you eat like that…? We get you're a carnivore, but you could at least tone it down a notch?" May asked him.
Ahote slurped in a whole stake with one head and chomped a pig's head with the other as he chewed them and swallowed as he reverted his heads back to his normal human form. "Where's the fun in that…?" He asked.
The girls groaned from it, knowing that he will be more trouble than he's worth. "Ahote, come on, show a little respect to the ladies." Jason said to him as he ate some rice. "Besides, we're all eating normally, doesn't mean you have to act like a savage." He told him.
That made Ahote snap as he slammed his hands on the table as he glared at him. "The term savage would imply that my people were just a barbaric society, but we were peaceful people… taken from our homes by the English when they first arrived and formed the American Colonies. As the years went on, the American White Men continued to treat my people like wolves that intrude on their lands. It was then, I was born, and I found that the world was still cruel, and I wanted to make things better for my people. That's the reason I left my tribe… not just to become a scientist, but to be a peacemaker." He told them as he sat down. "I just want to make my people happy… is it really all that bad…?" He asked them.
Everyone in the room looked at each other, knowing that the Native Americans had it rough, especially when they were forced from their homes, and hunted down like dogs. Jason let out a sigh as he looked back at Ahote. "I'm sorry, Ahote… I didn't mean to offend you." He apologized.
"I know… I know what I am. There's no changing it, besides the crystal inside my chest." He gestured to it as he looked towards Jason. "At least now you know why I don't like being called that term. I've dealt with too much racism from Chad and any other of his crew members." He told him.
"At least now, I have a newfound respect for your people." Jason replied, only to see Kiriko walk into the room. "Lady Kiriko…" He called out as he stood up with the others.
"Sorry to interrupt your meal my vanguard, but you have a mission that needs your full attention." She informed them as she looked at Jason and Ahote. "Jason, Ahote, you are heading to India." He told them.
"Did you find one of Shenrah's crystals…?" Jason asked.
"Yes, it lies in the Temple of Fire, where the God Agni was worshiped." She replied as she looked between him and Ahote. "You two must also watch out for the guardian of that temple. The beast is of Earth, but if you both work together in defeating it, you can get the Power Crystal." She told them.
Jason and Ahote nodded their heads simultaneously, only to hear an amused chuckle from William as they turned towards him curiously. "Them, working together…? Please, a mission such as this should require stealth. Therefore, the honor of retrieving the crystal should be mine." He boastfully declared.
Kimberly meanwhile could easily sense his ill intent in going after the Power Crystal, she stood up and scowled at him. "And why should we let you go after it? All you've done since being here was experiment, and test your abilities." She reminded him.
"As should all of you, I have grown rather fond of my new abilities. The rest of you however treat them as though they were either a blessing or a curse, me? I consider it a state of godhood." He expressed as Kiriko sensed what Kimberly was sensing from him, pure deception. "So if anything, you are all a bunch of incompetent fools who think you can accomplish anything." He stated.
"Silence yourself, worm!" Kiriko formed her scorpion tail and smacked him across the face, making him cry out in pain from it as she glared at him. "I do not need a spineless worm to question my orders, I chose Jason and Ahote to go to the Temple of Fire because Shenrah ordered it. If you question them again, my master will take back the power he gave you. Do I make myself clear, Mr. Underhill…?" She asked him.
William glared at her for her aggression towards him, but one quick glance towards Jason, he saw his eyes change as he glared at the Englishman. He knew that he would kill him should he return the same aggression towards Kiriko, and they all will end up dead. So he swallowed his pride, and sighed. "Transparently." He replied and walked out of the dining room.
Kiriko glared but looked towards Jason and Ahote. "Now, you both have your mission, you can depart when you are ready." She told them as she walked away, putting her stinger away.
Jason sighed knowing that was a close call, he and Ahote walked off to get prepared. Jason walked into his room to gather what he needed for his trip to India, just as Kimberly walked into the room to talk to him. "Are we really going through with this?" She asked him.
Jason let out a sigh as he turned towards her. "We have no choice Kim, I don't like it anymore than you do." He answered her.
"But what about Ryosuke…? You've always viewed him as a brother, can't you and Tagora just talk to him and Garoma before things escalate?" She asked.
"I would if I could, but I have seen Tagora's memories. His hatred towards Garoma runs deep, because he felt that Garoma betrayed him." Jason explained as he took Kim's hand. "Besides, even if I do contact Ryosuke, Shenrah would easily detect it without us knowing it. He has eyes everywhere, which is why we need to be cautious around him." He told her.
Kimberly sighed, knowing her boyfriend was right as she reached up and touched his face. "Okay, we'll try it your way. But do not go and try any Indian food without me. You know I wanted to try it out with you." She told him.
This made Jason chuckle as he held his girlfriend close. "You got a deal, I'll be sure to bring back some food after the mission." He told her as he pulled away, only to feel her grab him by his collar and pull him into a loving kiss.
Jason was surprised, but he accepted it as he held her in his arms and she released the kiss and smiled at him. "That's to make sure you keep your promise." She told him.
Her boyfriend smiled at her only to hear a throat clear as he looked to the door, seeing Ahote leaning against it with his arms crossed and his eyebrows arched. "If you are done making out with your girlfriend, chief, we need to go." He told him as he walked off.
Jason let out a sigh as he shook his head and looked towards Kimberly. "Guess that's my cue." He told her.
She nodded her head as she pulled her hands away from him. "Come back safely, you hear me?" She asked him.
"Yes, nurse." Jason smiled at her and walked away to join Ahote, Kimberly watched him go and knew that there was only one way that he'd be safe. She pulled out her phone and started texting.
(Japan, Garrison Headquarters)
At the Garrison, Ryosuke, Jirou and Shawn were at the gym working out, Ryosuke was doing some pull ups, Jirou was doing some bench presses, while Shawn was hitting his punching bag. But every time he hits the punching bag, he is reminded of his past. The terrorists who murdered his family, the days he trained, the day he took the lives of the murderers that robbed him of everything he held dear to him. His eyes snapped as he yelled and formed his Talosus claws and slashed through the bag, seeing the sand fall out of the bag as Ryosuke and Jirou looked towards him surprised as Ryosuke dropped down. "Shawn, what the hell?" He walked towards him. "What got into you?" He asked him.
"I don't want to talk about it." Shawn answered as he put his claws away.
"Come on man, we both know you're going through a lot right now. There's clearly something on your mind, so it would be easier if you just tell us what it is." Jirou told him.
"Drop it, all right?!" Shawn yelled at him and stormed off.
Ryosuke watched him go as he and Jirou looked at each other feeling concerned for him, it was when Feline walked in with Sylvia to check on the boys till they saw what was left of the sandbag. "Whoa, what happened here…?" Feline asked.
"You tell me, he just went totally berserk and slashed the bag open." Jirou explained.
Sylvia examined what was left and looked at them. "He never displayed that level of aggression before, nor did Talosus. What could have caused it?" She asked them.
"We tried to ask him what happened, but he shrugged us off and left. But… I do have a feeling it may have something to do with his past." Ryosuke explained.
"How so?" Jirou asked him.
Ryosuke touched a screen and brought up Shawn's files. "Shawn for some reason wanted to keep his past a secret, he joined the Garrison a year before I was kicked out. He even showed great skill in the combat simulator, but his aggression had often been pushed by one of the guards in the Garrison. I knew his aggression pretty well, but when the guard pushed him too far…?" He paused for a moment as he closed his eyes. "The guard ended up beaten into a coma, he hasn't woken up since." He showed what the guard looked like when Shawn beat him nearly to death.
Jirou and Feline were shocked to see what was left of him. "Jesus… Shawn did that…?" He asked him.
"If he showed the same level of aggression during your little sparring match on the Axalon before we arrived on Sephoria…? He would have put you in the same condition if I hadn't shown up when I did." Ryosuke explained.
"He… never mentioned that to me." Feline admitted as she looked to where Shawn went. "Something is really eating away at him… and I want to know what it is." She said, only to hear a text message sound that made her go into a fighting position as her fur stood up. "What was that?!" She asked.
"Calm down… it's just my phone." Ryosuke pointed out as he pulled out his phone and found it was a text from Kimberly. "It's a message from Kimberly." He said as he earned surprised looks from his friends.
"Kimberly? Jason's girlfriend?" Jirou asked him.
"What does it say?" Sylvia asked him.
Ryosuke opened the message to find what it said. "I have information regarding Jason and Ahote." He read the message and looked at the others. "We need to get this to Misato, stat." He told them.
(Misato's Office)
Misato examined the message as she had them on screen. "Jason and Ahote are traveling to India, to the Temple of Fire to find a crystal within. They must also face a guardian that protects the temple and crystal." She read out loud as she turned to Ryosuke. "And this came straight from Kimberly?" She asked.
"She wouldn't have warned us of his mission unless she really cared about Jason's safety, it's more than likely she's secretly sneaking information behind Violet Queen without her knowledge, or her master." Ryosuke theorized.
"She's taking a big risk contacting Ryosuke, I understand you were friends, but she's serving a master we know nothing about." Colin commented as he looked towards Yuki. "Lady Yuki, what can you tell us about Violet Queen's master?" He asked.
"I'm afraid his name has long since been lost to history, it was better that way, for he was considered the most feared amongst the Dark Ones." Yuki explained.
"That's comforting, but if they seek a crystal in India, we need to get there before they do." Ryosuke told them as he turned his attention to Shawn. "Shawn, you're with me." He told him.
Surprised by this, Shawn crossed his arms and looked away. "And why should I go?" He asked.
"Because you have been unhinged since we returned, therefore you need to let that rage out somewhere that isn't the Garrison Gym." Ryosuke explained as he looked at Misato. "Permission to depart commander…?" He asked her.
"Permission granted, get to the temple before Jason and Ahote do." Misato ordered and looked towards Jaden. "Jaden, fly them over India while I call in the Indian Government for permission to let them walk on their land." She told him.
"Yes ma'am." Jaden replied to her and walked to get a plane ready, Shawn sighed as he decided to walk out knowing he needed to blow off some steam.
Ryosuke was about to follow, till Yuki stepped up to him. "Ryosuke, when you get to the temple, be careful when you face the guardian. Even though it is a Kaiju that was born on your planet, it will stop at nothing to keep whatever crystal safe inside the temple." She warned him.
"I'll keep that in mind, Lady Yuki. I just hope I don't have to kill it." He replied and looked towards Sylvia as she approached.
"Whatever happens, I want you to be careful. Every Guardian in every temple was created by the Gods of this world. Each possessing their power and abilities, should you ever feel the need to defend yourself, you know what must be done." She told him.
"I know… and I promise, when I get back, we'll go to where my mother and I used to live." Ryosuke swore to her as he smiled at her and walked away, Sylvia watched him go and smiled as she looked forward to it.
(India)
Over India, the plane in which Jaden acquired flew over Indian airspace as he looked through the window and looked around. "Things are looking good down there, just need word from Commander Shirogane to land, how are you guys doing in there?" He asked while Ryosuke and Shawn were preparing themselves for an air drop.
Ryosuke pushed a button on his comlink to reply. "No need to land, we're going in for an air drop. It's the fastest way we can reach the temple before Jason and Ahote do." He told him.
"That's a little risky, sure you wanna take it Ryo?" Jaden asked him.
"Unless you have other plans, I suggest you land and inform the Indian Garrison that we took a detour. I don't mean to disrespect them, but we're in a bit of a hurry." Ryosuke replied.
"All right, it's your head… literally." Jaden told him.
Meanwhile Shawn put on his armor to keep himself protected from any unexpected attacks as he looked towards Ryosuke. "You sure it was necessary to bring me along…?" He asked him.
"I told you Shawn, you need this chance to blow off some steam, and what better way to do that then a trek through the jungle, and fighting off murderous bandits or wild animals? Or possibly, even a Kaiju." Ryosuke listed the options of what they might face.
Shawn let out a sigh as he put his katanas into their scabbards and walked to the back door. "If it's about what happened earlier, I'm sorry… I'm still trying to get used to my new Kaiju abilities." He explained.
"We all are, which is why we need to understand them rather than unleash them without cause. Afterall, we are still human inside, but we now contain the souls of kaiju within ourselves." Ryosuke told him as the room turned red.
"Twenty seconds to drop fella's, get ready." Jaden informed them as the back hatch opened up, Ryosuke and Shawn put on their oxygen masks to breathe through the atmosphere. They checked their gear to make sure it's functional and started heading towards the back. "Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one." Jaden switched the light from red to green. "GO, GO, GO!" He told them as Ryosuke and Shawn ran out and jumped out of the plane, lighting their flairs as they descended towards the jungle.
Jaden watched from the cockpit as the duo made their way down to the jungle, Ryosuke descended with Shawn as they were nearing the landing zone. The duo pulled the lines to their parachutes as they opened and shot out, allowing the chutes to open wide and slow their descent. They made their way down past the tree's as several branches whacked them a few times and they made it down to the ground. Ryosuke felt his feet touch the ground as he felt mild pain shooting up through his body from the landing, given the fact his legs dangled a bit before landing. He let out a mild groan as he looked to see Shawn strung up by the branches. "Need a hand?" He asked him.
"No, I got this." Shawn replied as he struggled with his parachute, he managed to get several buckles undone. Once he reached the final one, he felt his entire weight pulling him down as he landed safely on the ground. He exhaled as he dusted himself. "That was something, better send a signal flare to let Jaden know we're safe." He told him.
"On it." Ryosuke replied as he pulled out a flare gun and loaded a flare into it, he aimed it towards the sky and shot it out of the gun.
Meanwhile in the plane, Jaden watched carefully as the flare combusted in the air, signaling they were safe. "All right, the Kaiju have landed. Time to land this bird and meet with the Indian Garrison." He stated.
"That'll be something." Said a voice as Jaden looked around and looked towards the closet and opened it up finding Blair inside it. "Blair, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be back at the Japanese Garrison." He told her.
"Where's the fun in that if I can't have a vacation with my boyfriend?" She asked as she sat in his lap and caressed his cheek. "Besides, I've been feeling an itch that's been in need of a scratch, and you know the kind I mean." She said in a sultry voice as she reached down towards his pants, digging her hand underneath them as she groped his manhood.
Feeling it as he blushed, he chuckled a bit and looked at her. "Let's meet with the Indian Garrison first, then we'll find a hotel, okay?" He asked her.
She smiled at him and got closer to his face. "Sounds good to me." She said as she kissed him for a few seconds before releasing her lips from his as she grinned. "I may also have something special waiting for us at the hotel once we arrive." She said as she held him and they flew to where the airport was.
(Meanwhile)
In the stock markets, Jason and Ahote traveled through the marketplace to find a map to the Temple of Fire. Jason approached a stand that had all kinds of merchandise, jewels, trinkets, and what caught his attention was the very thing they were searching for, a map that led a path through the jungle and to the Temple of Fire. He pulled it up and looked through it as the merchant who owned the map approached. "Ahh, you have a good eye my friend, that map leads to the Temple of Agni. The god of our land, I can sell it to you for a good price, even if it's American money." He offered.
Jason set the map down and pulled out his wallet. "How much are we talking…?" He asked.
"400 bucks, and it's yours." The merchant informed him, much to Jason's dismay.
Even Ahote found that ridiculous. "400 dollars?! Are you out of your damn mind?!" He asked as he was close to transforming into Zor'Rex.
"That is the price, you can take it or leave it." The merchant told him with his arms crossed.
Ahote was about to let out a monstrous growl, but Jason paid up 400 dollars to settle it. "Keep the change." He told him as he took the map and walked off as Ahote followed after him, giving a disapproving look towards Jason.
"That guy was likely trying to scam you out of your money, have you any idea if that map is even legit?" He asked him.
"We need a way to get to the temple, and this map might be our only lead. For all we know, Ryosuke could already be on his way here." Jason reminded him.
"Good, I'm dying for a rematch." Ahote stated as he walked with him.
Jason rolled his eyes in response as he looked towards Ahote. "Remember Ahote, we're just pawns in a much larger game. Whatever this Shenrah wants these crystals for, we can't take any risks. Kim most likely informed Ryosuke about our trip here." He informed him.
This immediately surprised Ahote as he walked beside him. "Kim is ratting us out? And why would you tell me about it?" He asked him.
"Because she cares about me, and those closest to me. Ahote, you are a noble person, even you have to admit that something about this ordeal isn't right. We both need to be cautious of our so-called master, whatever his intentions, we need to be prepared for what it may be." He told him.
Ahote sighed as he knew that he was right, he couldn't trust what their master spoke of, nor his intentions. They needed to be careful as well as cautious, but before they could proceed, Jason got grabbed by a beautiful prostitute, mid to late 30's with long dark hair. She dragged him towards her brothel as she held him close, making him thoroughly uncomfortable. "Hello there handsome, care for a special time with my girls? Or do you prefer older women…?" She asked in a sultry tone as she pressed his face against her right breast.
Jason's face turned bright red as he felt it and looked, or at least tried to look her in the eye. "As appealing as that sounds, I have a girlfriend." He informed her as he struggled.
"Aww, how sweet… tell you what, invite her here, and I'll make it both your whiles." She told him as her girls giggled like a group of cheerleaders.
Jason panicked as he looked towards Ahote. "Ahote, a little help here…!" He pleaded.
"Oh I don't know Jason, I think I should take a picture and show it to Kim. To show her just how unfaithful you have been to her." Ahote replied as he brought out his phone.
"Ahote, I swear to god, I will kill you if you so much as take one picture of this!" Jason threatened him.
But Ahote chuckled as he put his phone away. "I'm just kidding, ma'am, please let go of my friend there, we're here on business, not pleasure." He told her.
She chuckled in amusement as she let Jason go, much to her girl's dismay as she held one hand to her hip. "If you change your mind…" She pulled a card out from between her D-Cup breasts and tossed it to them. "You'll find my phone number and address on this card, see you around handsome." She told him.
Jason caught the card but gave it to Ahote. "Thank you." He told her as he walked away with his partner.
The woman watched them go as her smile faded as a stern look formed across her face. She walked into her brothel as the interior started to change, and the girls turned and followed her inside. "So… Garoma's brother has returned. I can only imagine the chaos that will ensue if they reach the temple." She muttered as she approached her mirror and sat in front of it as she touched up her makeup.
One of the girls approached as she sat beside her. "Mistress, should we not inform Lord Agni?" She asked her.
"Oh he knows, and he highly believes that his guardian will keep them from even touching that power crystal." She replied as she touched up her eyeliner as a second right hand held up her lipstick and pressed it to her lips, rubbing it across her upper lip as she pulled it away. She smacked her lips together as she looked at her reflection, revealing herself as Kali, the Goddess of Death. "But should they get past the guardian, that is where Agni will step in. Meanwhile, I have other pressing matters to handle." She told her as she turned towards the rest of her girls. "Ohhh, but do not worry girls. I will return, after all, who else is going to protect you from men who would treat you like playthings?" She asked them as her girls kneeled before her.
"You will protect us, Lady Kali. You are our queen, our protector, our goddess." They said in unison.
Kali grinned as she turned around and stepped past them. "You girls are so loyal, and that is what I love about each and every one of you." She said as she snapped her fingers, making the house return to being the brothel to keep appearances as her extra arms vanished. "Back to work girls, and if a paying customer so much as even tries to beat you… you have my permission to kill." She told them as the girls around her grinned with satisfaction. "Try not to disappoint your mother, dear children." She said as she looked out the window to where Jason and Ahote went, letting out a dark and sinister chuckle. "Have fun boys… hmm." She looked out the jungle sensing something else in the jungle, something she recognized all too well. She vanished to investigate what it was, for it seemed quite familiar.
(Indian Jungle)
Ryosuke and Shawn made their way through the jungle to reach the temple located on their map, they did however remain quiet through the journey as they walked through the dense jungle. Ryosuke glanced towards Shawn noticing how tense he is, he sighed as he finally decided to break the silence. "Shawn, what happened back at the Garrison, you need to tell me what it is." He told him.
"Didn't we agree to drop the subject…?" Shawn asked.
Ryosuke turned towards him as he stopped instantly. "I didn't… you have been keeping things to yourself this long, and it's got everyone curious about who you are. It's time you open up, and stop being so secretive, and start telling me everything you're hiding. That is not a request, that is an order." He told him.
Seeing his stern look, Shawn let out a sigh and backed away from him. "What do you want me to say Ryosuke…? Hm? Should I say… that my parents were murdered by a group of terrorists when I was just a kid? That I was trained by a group of assassins who took me in and trained me in the deadly arts? Or that when I finally grew up, I finally caught the bastards that took everything from me?! When I caught them, I tore them apart while looking them in the eye! Just like they did my parents!" He told him as he got more frustrated. "Every day I am reminded of what I did, and the memories just keep coming back, no matter how hard I try to suppress them!" He yelled as he pants and sat down on a root and held his hands to his face.
Ryosuke looked at him as he could see the pain that he went through growing up, and he put it together as he looked at him with a look of realization. "That was when you came to the Garrison, you were trying to get away from your masters." He theorized.
Shawn sighed as he pulled his hands away from his face. "Yeah, when I was finished with my mission, they wanted me for another assignment. I had no intention of going back, so I joined the Garrison for a better cause. That's how I ended up on your crew… despite how annoying Jirou can be." He commented.
"He does have a knack for getting under people's skin, but that isn't important. What is important is that you need to be more open with the team, instead of keeping all of your emotions bottled up to the point you end up falling apart." Ryosuke told him as he walked up and touched his shoulder. "I'm saying this as a friend, not as your captain." He said as Shawn lowered his gaze, Ryosuke pulled his hand away and looked out towards the temple in the distance. "In the meantime, we need to get to the temple." He told him as he walked away.
"You go on ahead, I need time to think." Shawn told him as Ryosuke looked back and nodded his head, proceeding towards the temple without him. Shawn watched as he disappeared into the jungle, he looked out towards the sky thinking about his words, as well as his parents as he saw an illusion of their faces in the sky. Believing they would be disappointed in him, Shawn sighed as he covered half his face with one hand. "I can't… if I open myself to them. Not after what I've done, none of them… not even you, could possibly forgive what I've become." He said to himself.
"Then perhaps it's not their forgiveness you need." Said a sultry voice as Shawn got up and pulled out one of his katanas and aimed it, only for his eyes to widen upon the sight of Kali herself. "Easy mortal… if I wanted to kill you, I would have done so already." She told him as all six of her arms revealed themselves as she was in her true form.
Shawn looked at her, seeing her for who she is as he kept his guard up. "You're Kali… the Goddess of Death." He said to her as he felt a cold chill up his spine.
She chuckled as she walked closer to him seductively, reaching with one hand and touched his blade. "Your blade is quite impressive, but compared to mine…?" She summoned one in the same hand she used to touch his blade and knocked his blade away, only to see him twirl it around and hold it to her neck, further impressing her as she chuckled. "Such as the way of a ninja, always prepared."She complimented his skill.
"You didn't come here to complement my skills, what do you want…?" He asked her.
She smiled as she put her blade away and walked around him. "I know you both seek the Temple of Fire, but do you know what lies within it?" She asked him as he looked at her without a single thought as he kept his stoic expression. "I'll take that as a no… the item within the temple is in fact, a crystal." She stated as she approached and touched his chest where his crystal was. "A power crystal, one of a set of three identical crystals to a powerful demon that rebelled against your leader." She informed him.
"Does this demon have a name?" He asked.
"His name is best left forgotten, even to the gods of every pantheon." She informed him as she pulled her hand away from his chest and walked past him. Talosus roared at him and charged on all fours and saw him swing one of his scythe arms at him, but Talosus leapt over the arm and snarled as he swung his right leg and kicked him in the chest, making him back up and retaliate by shooting a ball of web at him to get him to hold still. But given Talosus' superior speed, he managed to avoid the spider's web and leap overhead and grab hold of it as he snarled and pulled him back and threw him over as he slammed against what was left of the temple. Tarantula let out a painful shriek as he landed against the temple, making it crumble to the ground as he thrashed around and tried to get up. Garoma charged towards him and kicked him over, causing him to roll over as he snarled at him, only to get a face covered in webs as Tarantular snarled and tackled him down and went to bite his neck. Talosus slashed the crescent moon energy blades into the air and sent them towards the spider as Garoma and the guardian got out of the way as Tarantular turned around and eyes widened as the blades of energy struck him, putting some serious damage into his armor, causing him to shriek as blood was spilt. "Jason and Ahote must've come back for it while we were fighting William." Shawn theorized as Ryosuke sighed in disappointment. "Agni is not going to be happy." He stated.
"More than you can imagine." Agni replied as he appeared behind them, surprising both guardians as they turned towards him. "You mortals, after all me, the gods, and the guardians have done for you in ancient days, you have no idea what awaits you in the future." He told them.
