Chapter 11: Saiyans and Serenity, Part 1
Gohan began this morning with a few stretches. After getting his athletic body sufficiently warm, he decided to forego the morning exercises. The boy knew that this day would be rough, for any spar with Vegeta was going to be intense. For that reason, he felt that he would get a much more intense workout so the morning gravity training would be pointless for him, at least that's how Gohan felt.
The saiyan reached up to the shelf and pulled out a box. Placing the box on top of his bed, the saiyan lifted the lid and pulled out his blue gi. However, something came along with this particular set of clothing. A white, fabric shoulder and chest piece with a white cape hanging down the back. The saiyan smiled because the outfit he had laid out reminded him of his lessons with Piccolo many years ago.
Gohan put on the outfit and looked in the mirror. The boy looked over his form and paid a little extra attention to the cape flowing down his back. Nodding in approval, he heard the voice of Goten over his left shoulder.
"Wow, you look cool in Piccolo's outfit," Goten said with a smile.
The eldest brother turned around and couldn't help but smile at the little saiyan in return. Gohan felt it was nice to not have to wear that tuxedo for once and sparing against someone who could challenge him in most any way possible.
The teen walked away from the mirror and out of the room. Over his right shoulder however was someone who wouldn't let him go out that easily. Gohan looked over and saw his mother standing there with her arms crossed. Chi-chi never approved of Vegeta and Gohan doing any sparring, since it usually ended up with collateral damage of some kind and Gohan coming home with new bruises and scars.
"Mother I promise, I will come back in one piece," Gohan said.
Chi-chi stood silently for a few moments before she let her emotions show. She glared at her son and put her hands on her hips. The woman walked up to Gohan, still with a glare in her eyes.
"I know that you and Vegeta are saiyans. I'm not mad about that, though I still don't like you two sparring," Chi-chi said calmly, though inside she was seething.
Gohan was at a loss. The teenager went through his mind about any possible reason that she would be mad. His cutting station was clean super throughly the other day because he made sure of every detail. He's gotten super high marks in class in spite of fighting the Dark Kingdom, especially since he installed a program to help him study during his gravity workouts. He's not missed a delivery in a very long time.
"Um..," Gohan could only get out.
"How come you never introduced me to your girlfriend!" Chi-chi shouted at Gohan.
"Well...Usagi and I have only gotten together recently," the saiyan squeaked out.
C&K Butcher Shop, a couple hours before Sailor V vs. Kunzite…..
Chi-chi was tending to customers, while Krillen was cutting a special order for a customer of A5 beef. Eighteen was slicing cured bacon, while Makoto was frying Potato Korokkes as an extra responsibility. Gohan was out for deliveries and wouldn't be back for a while.
A pair of women entered the shop. One had long dark blue hair and the other was a blond with a pair of buns and long pigtails. Usagi, the one in the pigtails, looked over and saw her friend Makoto and couldn't help but smile. The smell of the Korokkes was also a lovely sensation for Usagi's nose.
"Mom, can I have one of those Crab Korokkes!" Usagi begged her mother.
"Sorry Usagi, it will spoil your dinner," Ikuko replied, much to the blonde haired one's chagrin.
The twosome made their way to the counter and looked over the selection. Chi-chi walked over to the mother and daughter and gave them a smile she would give most customers.
"Hello Ms. Tsukino," Chi-chi greeted the woman.
"Hello Ms. Son, your selection is looking excellent as usual," Ikuko replied.
"Why thank you," Chi-chi responded.
The two women chatted for a bit while Usagi looked at the case. The teenager marveled at the A5 beef, the quality chicken that was cut to uniform pieces as well as the parts like the thighs and breasts. The young girl walked over to the Korokke station to say hello to Makoto.
"Makoto, those things smell delicious," Usagi complemented.
"They are at that, though if I give you one Ms. Chi-chi might kill me," Makoto told Usagi.
"She seems strict," Usagi said to her.
Meanwhile the conversation between Ikuko and Chi-chi had gotten away from the business at hand. The two of them started talking about their children.
"Usagi has been mentioning the fact that she has found a boyfriend. Though she dare not say anything to Kenji yet. He tends to be overprotective of her, especially when it comes to boys," Ikuko said to Chi-chi.
"Well I guess men tend to be protective of their little girls. Makes me wish I had a daughter. Don't be wrong, I love my two sons more than anything in the world, but part of me wonders what could happen if I had a little girl," Chi-chi replied.
"I'm sure you would be a wonderful mother to a young lady. Say, Usagi told me that the guy works here," Ikuko added.
"What guy…." Chi-chi asked.
"Her boyfriend...she calls him Gochan," Ikuko answered.
"I don't have a Gochan...my son Gohan helps with deliveries and….," Chi-chi said before both women had a epiphany.
"My son…," Chi-chi said.
"and Usagi," Ikuko finished.
"Are together!" the two women shouted, which had gotten Usagi and Makoto's attention.
Usagi walked up and stood beside her mother. Both older women stared at Usagi for a bit. The odongo haired girl couldn't help to feel that she was in trouble somehow. Chi-chi left the counter, to which one of the employee's saw and ran up there quickly to take over.
"Usagi, how come you never told me?"Ikuko asked.
"Mom, I" Usagi had gotten out of her mouth.
"You didn't tell me you were dating that nice delivery boy," Ikuko said, her mood from stern to happy within a few seconds.
"Wait...I wasn't aware that I never gave you his proper name, sorry Mom," Usagi said the longer part quickly as she bowed in apology.
"It's ok dear, the only one that really needs to explain is my son," Chi-chi calmly said to the girl. Inside though she knew that she was going to give Gohan a good yelling for this situation. She just needed to pick the right moment.
Back to Chi-chi and Gohan
"I had to find out from Ms. Tsukino and your innocent girlfriend!" Chi-chi shouted at her sheepish son.
Gohan profusely apologized to his mother. The boy had planned to introduce her to the Son Matriarch, but at a later date where the situation would be more controlled. Plans from dinner at the apartment, or having them meet at some sort of mall or restaurant crossed his mind. Those events wouldn't have that event anymore however, since fate had the two meet in the shop.
Chichi stood there with her arms crossed. Her expression softened after the 4th line of his apology. The matriarch smiled at her son, for she knew that he did regret what happened. After all, not every couple were like her and Goku who met as small children.
"Don't worry Gohan. I guess you were just trying to arrange our meeting later. You've had a lot on your mind, son. Don't forget that you are a teenager," Chi-chi said before she walked away.
Gohan was confused. The situation all of the sudden was like his mother wasn't angry at all. Confusion gave way to relief as he nodded at his mother and walked away.
Gohan exited the shop and looked both ways. The young man couldn't help but smile as on his right was Usagi, running up to him waiving her hand to get his attention. Walking up to the running girl, he stopped just a few steps from his girlfriend. The young lady stopped and looked up at her boyfriend.
"Gochan, I just wanted to see you before you went to spar with Mr. Vegeta," the girl smiled.
"Usako," Gohan said before the girl put her arms around his neck. Usagi then placed her chin upon Gohan's chest and looked into his eyes. The saiyan brushed a stray hair from his significant other's face as he gave another smile.
Usagi then broke the embrace and continued to look up toward Gohan. The girl all of the sudden felt a pang of sadness. A memory popped up inside the mind of Usagi and she couldn't help but feel uncertain.
"Gochan….I met your mother yesterday, and…," Usagi said before Gohan started rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Usako, I know. She told me all about it," Gohan replied.
"I'm sorry I got you in trouble," Usagi said as she looked down at the pavement.
Gohan placed both hands on his girlfriends shoulders. His mood helped lighten the mood for the odango haired girl as she looked up at Gohan in surprise.
"Don't worry about it. At least she knows who you are now," Gohan said.
"But Gochan, I'm sure you had a plan to.." Usagi got out before her boyfriends smile got her out of her train of thought.
"I said don't worry about it," Gohan said, which knocked the sadness out of the girl.
The twosome went behind the shop. Usagi couldn't help but have a cloudy look to her eyes as she was embraced by Gohan. The saiyan and the senshi inched closer and the two shared a kiss. The two of them continued to make out for at least a couple of minutes. Gohan placed a finger underneath Usagi's chin and smiled.
"I have to go now," Gohan said softly to his girlfriend.
The two broke their embrace as the saiyan backed away. Levitating, Gohan waived to Usagi, who waived back as he climbed higher and higher. The boy then decided to take off as the blonde girl waived at his flying away form. Usagi smiled as she felt that everything would be ok, at least for now.
Gohan touched down in the Gobi Desert and awaited his sparring partner. The boy decided to get into some stretching exercises. The saiyan did not have to wait long however as Vegeta flew toward the top of a nearby rockface.
The full blooded older saiyan stood on that rock face with his arms crossed. A neutral look adorned his features as he looked down literally at the teenager from the high ground. Undeterred, Gohan went into a stance, lowering his center of gravity as he did so. Vegeta went into his own stance, one where he lowered his own gravity center. No words were necessary as the two of them knew what each other was here to do.
The saiyans flew at each other at a high rate of speed. The first collision resulted in Gohan blocking a punch, followed by Vegeta dodging a counter kick. The two continued to move around the desertscape, shockwaves following each collision. The two of them went into a flurry of strikes at each other, some from each fighter connecting.
Gohan connected with a punch to the face, only to get hit with a punch from his sparring partner. The twosome continued clashing and bouncing off each other. Small craters became present every time the two of them fought on the ground.
Vegeta happened to catch Gohan with a well placed kick, which sent him through a few large rock formations. The prince pursued Gohan, only for the half saiyan to gather his wits and evade a follow up strike. An open palmed gut shot greeted the prince, followed by a double-handed hammer blow, which sent him downwards and the force created a ditch using Vegeta's body dragging down into the dirt.
The prince sprang up to his feet as his body skidded along the ground, and was able to stop his momentum in a standing position. He had no time to catch his breath however as Gohan closed the distance quickly. The prince was barely able to block the incoming kick, and countered by grabbing the teen's ankle. The prince then slammed the boy onto the ground, though Gohan wrestled his foot free to keep it from happening a second time.
Vegeta grabbed Gohan's white cape, which the teen let happen and grabbed the bottom of the Piccolo style shoulder piece quickly. With the flip of his two hands, the cape came off, going over Vegeta's head and covering his face. Gohan then punched the covered face of his foe, sending him flying through a rock formation. The surrounding area crumbled around Vegeta, covering him in what looked like tons of dirt, stone and other types of earthen material.
"Vegeta, I know you can do better than that," Gohan taunted, for he knew that he didn't do any real harm to his opponent.
As if almost on cue, Vegeta shouts and bursts out of the rubble. Debris and rubble flew in all different directions. Gohan dodged several pieces of rock coming toward him at high speed. A huge piece came at the young saiyan, only to be reduced to pieces by Gohan's fist. What the teen didn't expect was Vegeta's foot to catch him on his midsection, sending him flying back.
Gohan was able to flip out of the momentum and land on his feet, skidding back about 10 feet as he did so. The teenager looked up and saw Vegeta, with Gohan's cape in hand. The prince smirked at his opponent, rubbing his cheek a bit and the punch did sting him.
"Well boy, looks like you have a few tricks up your sleeve," Vegeta shouted.
"Heh, you too Vegeta," Gohan shouted back as he rubbed his midsection a little.
"Shall we continue," taunted the Saiyan Prince.
"Unless you're too tired!" Gohan taunted in retaliation.
"You will pay for that, you cheeky brat!" Vegeta said as the two of them went back into their stances. The sparring partners flew at each other, seeing what damaged they could do to one another.
The Sailor Senshi were watching the fight from the safety of their headquarters. Artemis was watching energy gauges and freaked out every time they would spike. Luna was thankful that the screen was able to keep up with the two fighters. Ami watched the gauges with Artemis, while Rei quietly watched the spirited spar. Makoto admired the ferocity on display as she cheered Gohan on since she really didn't know Vegeta that well.
Usagi was Gohan's biggest cheerleader by far. She worried every time Gohan got hit, but was as relieved every time her boyfriend got a clean shot on the Prince of Saiyans.
Minako however seemed to be in a different mood altogether. Not liking this kind of battle one bit between what she saw was two very powerful allies, the girl thought about how damaged they could be exiting the fight. The girl who was Sailor V sat there with a tick mark on her forehead.
"Minako what's wrong?" Usagi asked.
"I'll tell you what's wrong. Two of our greatest weapons against the Dark Kingdom are beating the hell out of each other. This is no spar! It's an all out war!" Minako ranted.
"I know it looks bad, but Gochan would never let it go too far," Usagi replied.
"Let me guess Usagi...it's some sort of saiyan thing! No wait, it's some sort of weird thing that they have where they have to beat the hell out of each other to feel alive!" Minako ranted.
"Actually,"Ami got out before Minako started glaring daggers at the girl.
"Go on Ami," Artemis urged, steeling the nerves of the bluenette.
"As I was about to say, Mr. Piccolo told us on the lookout that Saiyans have an instinct to fight. Vegeta, and Gohan to a lesser extent, love a good physical challenge. Also, Mr. Krillen told me about something called a Zenkai boost," Ami explained.
"And what is this "Zenkai Boost" Minako retorted with less venom than previous in her voice.
"A Zenkai Boost is what a saiyan receives when they go through a particularly tough battle," Rei cut in, causing the room to pay attention.
"And from the way Krillen explained it, the closer to death a saiyan is, the greater the boost," Rei finished, satisfied that she could command the room in that instant.
"In other words Minako, don't get discouraged. They are just seeing if they can make each other stronger," Artemis added with a bit of finality against Minako's argument.
Minako took a deep breath and put her eyes to the screen. Inside, she could feel that something bad could happen during this fight. She resigned that, at least for now, she could do nothing. The senshi watched the battle unfold in front of them.
The two broke apart after their latest scuffle, both flipping to their feet. The two combatants smiled and all of the sudden both gave out a loud scream. The two auras flared into a golden color, along with the hair and both fighters now had the eyes the color of turquoise. The super saiyans stood there and looked at each other for a bit, neither making the first move.
"I take it the warm-up is over?" Vegeta asked as if he knew the answer.
"Hmph!" Gohan simply replied, not really wanting to banter with the full blooded fighter at the moment.
Both Gohan and Vegeta flew at each other again, only this time causing much more destruction to the landscape than before. Craters, ditches and rock piles became truly commonplace as the two of them continued to do battle. Blasts had come into play as each fighter threw the small balls of energy at each other between the punches and kicks.
Vegeta then went into a motion where he would throw ki balls in a rapid fire session. The elder saiyan hoped that the flurry would over come Gohan. The teenage saiyan was ready for this and kept deflecting each ki ball into all different directions.
The elder saiyan then put his wrists behind his right shoulder. A purple spark came from those wrists that looked somewhat unnatural. The purple energy, which crackled like lightning, kept charging in his hands. Gohan stood strong as he watched his opponent ready his attack.
"Galick Gun! Fire!" Vegeta shouted as he shot his attack at the young warrior. Gohan widened his stance and put his hands out front. The beam crashed into his hands, but the teen was able to stand strong. The blast moved him back several feet, but Gohan was able to dig his feet deep into the ground and the blast stopped budging him.
Vegeta turned up the energy on the blast, which sent his opponent sliding back several more feet. However, he started feeling a bit of pushback. The prince now was sliding backwards as Gohan walked forward, pushing the beam as he did so. The attack began to compact after around ten seconds as Vegeta planted his feet to prevent being moved back any further. The saiyan saw that the Galick Gun would not win against the half saiyan and stopped putting energy into the attack. Gohan felt this and sent the attack upwards into outer space.
Gohan saw as Vegeta tried to punch him as he did this and in the last split second, the teen blocked the technique with his right arm. The left fist of the half saiyan was free as he threw a hard counter punch to his fellow fighters face. The strike hit true as it crashed flush onto the lips of the prince and sent him flying backwards. Vegeta landed on his feet, though was shaken by the shot.
"I see you are as strong as ever boy," Vegeta said, knowing that Gohan had grown since the Cell Games.
"You have gotten stronger as well Vegeta," Gohan complemented.
"You haven't seen anything yet," Vegeta said as he powered up some more.
The prince pushed himself until his muscle mass increased. However, the increase was only barely noticeable as his energy doubled. Lightning began sparking out as Vegeta finished his transformation, a wave of energy shooting from all around his very being.
"I see you have ascended to Super Saiyan 2," Gohan said. However, the boy wasn't given much of a chance to register this development as Vegeta flew forward and landed a punch of his own. Gohan was barely able to block, but the force did sent the teen Super Saiyan backwards around 50 feet. Gohan flipped to his feet, but a quick follow up kick from Vegeta caught Gohan flush. The teen spiraled into the air and bounced as if he was a rubber ball onto the ground before skidding onto his backside.
"Yes, and I'm stronger than you were against Cell. You shouldn't just admire my form like a moron!" Vegeta said as Gohan started getting to his feet slowly.
The Prince flew toward Gohan, looking to press his advantage. Gohan felt the prince coming and leapt to his feet. The teen then roared his own scream, causing Vegeta to stop in mid air from feeling Gohan's immense pressure. The teen then underwent a similar transformation, his hair becoming slightly longer with more pronounced spikes. The same style of lightning sparked through Gohan's body as the teen's own muscle mass increased slightly.
Vegeta knew instantly what Gohan had just done. Though Vegeta had gotten past Cell Games Gohan in terms of power, he knew that Gohan right now had done the same. Though it was the same form as was used against Cell, Vegeta noticed that said power would utterly wipe the floor with the vicious ten year old version of his teenage opponent.
The senshi watched in amazement as they saw Super Saiyan 2 Gohan and Vegeta on full display. Usagi was dumbstruck that her new boyfriend now was showing the form that he used against Cell. The other senshi felt the pressure from those two fighters, particularly Gohan, and were a mix of amazed and hit with a fearful sensation.
Minako watched along with the senshi, though her thoughts were different from her fellow fighters. The first awakened guardian and her cat Artemis were the only two, along with Gohan himself, who knew about the half saiyan's past life as a full blooded human prince of a united Earth. The thought's of the blond with the big bow in her hair drifted to how the past incarnation never had power to this scale. Minako silently wished for Gohan to be careful with this power, for she felt it could have dire consequences if it fell into the wrong hands.
Usagi's expression went from surprised, to a more prideful one. A smile crept upon her features as she felt the power of her boyfriend. The girl looked around at the flabbergasted looks of her friends and the two cats in particular. The bun headed girl reached downwards and petted both felines, which the two of them leaned their head towards in stopped petting the two of them after a moment and reflected upon everything she has seen. The girl however, couldn't help but feel helpless as she continued to feel the pressure of Gohan's power.
"Gochan's very strong," Usagi said, breaking the silence in the room. Her saying that statement lifted the helpless feeling and replaced it with one of pride once again.
"Such power feels frightening," Rei said.
"True, but he's on our side," Ami commented.
"This is a great fight," Makoto said with excitement.
"How so?" Luna asked.
"When my dad was alive, he told me about fights like this. The World Martial Arts Championship Tournament used to have fights like the one we see here. He told me that the one before the last one with someone named Goku Son and a man named Ma Junior was so intense that the arena was gone. Now I'm witnessing what my dad was talking about," Makoto said with glee.
"Mrs. Son talked about her husband and how his name was Goku Son once," Ami added.
"You mean to tell me...this Goku is my Gochan's father," Usagi realized outloud.
"Usagi connects the dots," Rei sounds out, with a rare hint of humor.
The other senshi laugh while Usagi just stands in her spot confused. The odango haired girl realized what her friend had just done and gave her a glare, causing the other senshi and even the cats to snicker and giggle.
Minako was glad that the little scene in front of her broke her of her somber mood. The blond senshi with the bow stood up and walked over to Usagi. The girl then placed a hand on the shoulder of the odango haired one and smiled.
"Never change Usagi," Minako said with a smile. Usagi couldn't help but return one back, after all this was the first time that any of them could remember Rei using her sense of humor.
The two saiyans stood across from each other for the moment. Vegeta regained his composure and smirked at his fellow Super Saiyan 2. The elder fighter went into his stance, ready to battle.
"I was wondering when the real you would come out of hiding," Vegeta shouted to the teenager.
"Hmph, you are the only one that I need to bring this kind of power out against Vegeta. Now are you ready to fight...or are you just going to stand there," Gohan said to the saiyan with a bite to his voice.
The fighters charged at each other, both going into their flurries of attacks. The exchange seemed even at first as both landed various strikes. However, Gohan's strikes started landing more and with greater frequency, while Vegeta's attacks slowly lost their power behind them. The difference in the saiyans became even more apparent as the fight wore on. Gohan's experience using the form, while it being strange for the younger one to have more experience in most anything, tipped battle in his favor.
Vegeta was sent to the ground by a hammer blow, and dug yet another ditch into the landscape. The saiyan struggled to his feet as Gohan watched. The prince couldn't believe it, all the training he did and him unlocking the Super Saiyan 2 form, only to be outmatched by a teenager. Though, in a way, he did help nurture his training many years ago by planting the seed in his head.
'Well boy, at least one thing that came from Kakarot listened to me,' Vegeta thought with a small tinge of pride.
"You know Vegeta, this is partially your fault. Who knows, if you didn't badger me those few times about me keeping my strength up I might've slacked off all those years ago. Now how about we finish this so that we can get stronger together!" Gohan exclaimed.
"Ever the clown! Just like your father!" Vegeta said as he burst forth toward Gohan.
The prince swung his fist, only for Gohan to move and throw an immediate counter punch to his gut. Vegeta doubled over, then Gohan knocked the prince back to the exact same spot with another punch to the face. The prince pulled himself up and then opened his arms wide. This was for no hug however, as his entire body sparked golden lightning.
Gohan landed on the ground and widened his stance. The teen then cupped his hands towards his hip as he began to charge his attack. A white-blue energy ball formed on Gohan hands as Vegeta brought both arms forward, his wrists close to each other at the palms.
"Final Flash!" shouted Vegeta as his violent giant beam flew toward Gohan.
"Kamehame..HA!" Gohan shouted as his giant beam flew and collided with the Final Flash.
The two beams collided and the two of them struggled with each other. Gohan felt that this fight has brought out much more of his energy reserves than any other in quite a while as his beam pushed against Vegeta's. Vegeta, on the other hand, was pushing as hard as he could, hoping that he could catch the boy off his guard and have those beams fly towards him.
The struggle was causing the ground to shake, but this struggle would end soon. Both saiyan's gave out a final gust of energy. Vegeta had the upper hand for a moment, though that moment would disappear instantly when Gohan's power pushed against his own. The Kamehameha pushed back mightily against the Final Flash, and the result was the beam crashing into the Prince. The attack hitting him full force and having him spiral off of the ground, bouncing like a rubble ball. Vegeta tried to stand up one more time, but his hair went back to black. The prince fell unconscious as Gohan looked on and laughed.
Gohan smiled and powered down back to normal. The teenager then felt the lack of energy hit him as he went down onto his knees. The saiyan took a few deep breaths as he stood up to his feet. Though he still felt tired, the shakiness in his knees wore off as he started walking toward his unconscious opponent.
'Should I take him to Dende, or let him inside a healing tank at Capsule Corp. I'm sure Bulma would enjoy the peace and quiet...if she didn't kill me first,' Gohan said to himself as he knew how complex Ms. Bulma could be at times. Strange that someone who couldn't hurt him at the slightest in any normal circumstance would cause a little panic in the boy.
Gohan had taken his third step, when a shot of green light struck him onto his back. Caught off-guard, the weakened fighter was dropped to his hands and knees. The saiyan screamed in pain as the blast caught him hard. The boy tried to rise to his feet and turn around, only for another blast to hit him on the front, knocking him backwards several feet, and dropping the teen on his backside.
Kunzite appeared in front of the fallen Gohan, with a smirk on his face. Zoicite on the other hand appeared behind him. The pony-tailed one lifted the unconscious Vegeta over his shoulder using his magic.
"Take him to our ruler," A figure said, floating above the three of them.
Gohan looked up and saw Queen Beryl. The saiyan had no time as he looked over his shoulder, and saw Zoicite smile. The general was gone in a flash, along with the Prince of Saiyans. The half-saiyan silently cursed himself. The warrior knew that he was in trouble.
The senshi watched in horror as their ally was getting attacked by the Dark Kingdom. The one who had so skillfully stopped them in every way possible was now under attack. Usagi was on the verge of tears as her boyfriend fought Kunzite valiantly, but his condition meant that for once the Dark Kingdom had the upper hand.
"We have to help him!" Usagi pleaded.
The other senshi agreed and the four of them looked toward Minako, who herself was shocked at the events unfolded. The girl with the bow in her hair reasoned that the amount of power that Gohan and Vegeta exhibited would attract the attention of the evil group, or at least their ruler Metallia. This was no time to rub it in their face however, as she knew that her purpose was to help her fellow senshi however she could.
"Join hands with me Senshi. We are about to do something that is called the Sailor Teleport," Minako explained as she transformed into the orange and white fuku version of Sailor V.
The other girls gave their various chants of transformation and transformed into their Sailor Soldier forms. The girls joined hands and closed their eyes. Auras of their senshi colors shined as the group channeled their energy.
"Sailor Teleport," chanted the group as they disappeared from the headquarters, toward the battlefield in the Gobi desert.
Gohan was down on his hands and knees, struggling to get up. Blood leaked from several cuts on his body as he tried to get up. The boy wished he didn't take the attack Kunzite had where little crystal pieces crashed into him, which caused those several painful cuts on his body.
Kunzite was loving this situation. The person who had the identity of Tuxedo Mask, the one who caused them so much trouble with the senshi, was succumbing to their attacks. The same person that artfully blocked, destroyed, or shrugged off their techniques in many circumstances was hurting and falling to them.
To make matters worse, Zoicite rejoined the battle.
"I have our quarry properly restrained. That fellow did have the energy signature didn't he. The man will serve us very well when we are finished with him. And we have you to thank boy," Zoicite said in a mock congratulatory tone.
Zoicite fired an attack at the saiyan. Gohan closed his eyes, for he felt that sooner or later it would be over. The teen saiyan would rejoin his father in other world. However that day was not today as a crescent boomerang struck the attack, keeping it from reaching it's target.
Gohan felt five familiar energy signatures. The teen opened his eyes and turned around. What he saw brought joy to the weary and beaten fighter as he saw Sailor Moon, Sailor V, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter. An honest smile adorned Gohan's face as Sailor V's attack saved him from further torture.
Sailor Moon ran over to Gohan and knelt down to his level. She placed an arm around the back of her neck, while Jupiter put her head underneath the other arm. Gohan used those two to stand on his feet, and the two of them helped him walk to a nearby rock. Moon and Jupiter helped the weary teen sit up on the rock so that he could rest a bit. The other three senshi stood guard and acted as shields in case the Dark Kingdom tried to attack.
"I can still fight," Gohan told them, though his body was giving him different signals.
"No Gohan, you need to rest," Sailor Moon ordered to her boyfriend. Gohan couldn't help but laugh a bit.
"What's so funny?" Moon asked.
"Nothing really...it's just that you have become so strong," Gohan remarked.
"You really think so?" Moon questioned.
"I know so...once I recover a bit I will help," Gohan said
"Gohan, you have helped us so much in the past. It's about time the five of us help you for once," Moon said before she kissed Gohan on the lips.
The saiyan wasn't as surprised as before and returned the brief kiss. Jupiter watched the exchange and couldn't help but be happy for the senshi leader.
"Are you ready Sailor Moon," Jupiter said.
Sailor Moon nodded and rejoined the other three senshi that were in a standoff with the two generals. The senshi went into stances, with Sailor Moon holding her Moon Rod. The battle between the remaining generals, with Queen Beryl, and the Sailor Senshi was about to begin.
