Chapter 13: The Moon

Gohan's next few days were stressful to say the least. That very night the battle with Beryl happened the saiyan went and told Bulma what had happened. Upon hearing news of Vegeta's capture, the scientist went into tears. The woman cried and blamed herself for what happened, as she suggested that her husband sparred against Gohan. The teenager saw himself as he was against Cell many years ago, as he watched Bulma pound the desk.

The saiyan was able to encourage the blue haired scientist somewhat before leaving. Gohan told her how he felt after Goku was slain. At first she spat a few curse words at the teen, understandable since it was her husband was taken. Eventually however, she began to see what Gohan was talking about and that did give a small amount of hope to the scientist.

She didn't let Gohan go without making him promise to bring him back to her. This gesture was something Gohan took very seriously, as part of him felt that it was his error to a degree.

Those were Gohan's thoughts as he went into his morning exercises, now pushing himself harder since that battle. The boy was mostly withdrawn from his school friends those past few days, causing worry among his group. His thoughts came to Videl, who had started asking questions that he felt were too probing into his personal life. The boy remembered that how yesterday Erasa had to convince Videl that not everyone around her was a suspect of some sort.

Gohan was at the gate of his school with his group of friends. The saiyan seemed distant to his crew as he looked over the horizon. The boy had stared up into the sky, as if he knew something was coming any minute. The boy was snapped out of his stare by Videl, who had been saying his name for a few moments.

"Oh sorry Videl, I just have a lot on my mind," Gohan said, knowing that he could not share what was truly bothering him. Last thing he felt he needed was shattering the world of the World Martial Arts Champion's daughter.

"Gohan, what's gotten into you?" Videl asked out of concern.

"Well I guess a few things," Gohan said but decided to say no more.

"Are things good between you and Usagi?" Erasa asked.

"Actually Erasa, they are. Thank goodness," Gohan said in a way that told them that it was a bright spot in his life at the moment.

"That reminds me, I promised I would meet her at our usual spot," Gohan said as he tried to get away.

Videl was having none of it however and stood in front of the saiyan. Using techniques she had seen detectives do at the police board, she looked stern at Gohan. Taken aback, the boy did not expect to see his friend glare at him with fists on her hips.

"Gohan, what's wrong," Videl asked in a commanding tone that would make her captain proud.

"Excuse me," Gohan said while blinking his eyes. In truth Gohan was weighing his options. Sure, Gohan could take her in a fight easily, but punching men and women that weren't super powerful like himself would bring unwanted fear of him. He could run circles around her, but that would bring a lot of unwanted questions.

"Videl, please let him get to his girlfriend," Erasa asked of her friend.

"Not until I get my answer," Videl said, not budging an inch.

"C'mon Videl, let the man pass. He ain't a criminal," Sharpner said to Videl in a manner that he never addressed her before. Videl almost couldn't believe it and rounded on her blond male friend.

Gohan took it as a chance to get around Videl. The saiyan turned to the left and walked away. Videl saw this and shouted at Gohan. The saiyan stopped in his tracks and stood silent.

"Videl stop!" Erasa ordered.

"Erasa, I..." Videl tried to reply.

"Sharpner is right, Gohan is not one of those criminals you can just detain! Let him go!" Erasa ordered.

Videl looked down, now the feeling of shame apparent on her small frame. Gohan walked away wordless, feeling truly sorry he couldn't share with them like he could share with his family and his family friends. Perhaps someday he could do such a thing, but he did not know if they would understand the burden on his and the senshi's shoulders.

Gohan shut down the machine and went back inside the apartment. The teen wanted to make up with his high school friends, especially Videl. The boy knew that she meant well, but summed it up to her doing too much work with the police.

Usagi walked down the street on her normal route to school. As she made her way down her path she came across her usual spot where she would meet Gohan. Right on cue, Gohan was sitting on one of the benches as he waited for her. The girl sat beside her boyfriend and smiled at the young saiyan.

Gohan felt relief from his more melancholic state that he had for the last few days. The boy smiled as he looked upon his girlfriend, who leaned on the strong saiyan. The boy enjoyed the feeling of having what he felt was his princess right by his side.

"Gohan, you know what Luna said to me?" Usagi asked her boyfriend.

The saiyan's ears perked up at the question.

"She said that we would be able to go to the Moon," Usagi said to Gohan.

"Go to the moon….I could see if Bulma would let us take a rocket flight….then again I think it might not involve rockets," Gohan replied.

Usagi giggled a little.

"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you that Capsule Corp. had such tech," Gohan said.

"You and Ami with science," Usagi said in jest. Gohan smiled at his girlfriend and laughed a little.

"I want to go with you anyway...that is if the girls would have me come," Gohan said, knowing that it could help get his mind off of what he perceived as partially his failure.

"But of course Gohan, Luna even suggested you go with us," Usagi said with a smile.

The couple rose from the bench and walked down the street toward their respective schools. A few onlookers admired the couple, but most just walked their way as the couple went down the path.

Gohan had dropped off Usagi at Juban Junior High and made his way to Juban High. He didn't get too far down the path when he wound up joining up with Videl. The girl at first couldn't even look up to him. The two of them walked silently to the school and made it to the main gate. Gohan walked through the main gate with her and just before they had gotten into school, Videl called out to him.

The saiyan stopped in his tracks.

"Gohan, can we talk?" Videl asked.

"Sure, but let's wait until we get to class. We are close to the alarm bell," Gohan said with his normal tone.

Videl hearing Gohan's tone was given hope. She could at least hold her head up as some of the guilt had went away. The two went into class and had beaten the bell, so they did have a little time. The two sat in their usual seats and Ms. Satan moved over to Gohan and sat down.

"Gohan, I'm sorry for yesterday," Videl said.

"Videl, there's nothing to forgive," Gohan replied.

"Thank you Gohan...and if you ever need a friend. You know that the three of us have your back. Don't you Gohan?" Videl said as she looked up at her friend.

"Yes," Gohan said with a smile.

The guilt lifted off of Videl and part of her wanted to jump from her desk and hug him. That part had gotten squashed when Sharpner and Erasa joined them seemingly out of nowhere. Sharpner grinned at his saiyan friend.

"Well a miracle has happened...you got Videl to apologize," Sharpner quipped, causing Videl to glare at him.

"Sharpner, you just love to stir the hornets nest don't you," Erasa pointed out.

"Well Gohan over here has to know how rare a Videl apology is," Sharpner pointed out.

"Well...I guess you're not wrong," Erasa said, causing Videl to slump her shoulders and for Gohan to grin at the whole display.

Later that night, Usagi was in her bedroom. The girl looked up into the night sky as the wind blew through her long, blond pigtails. She couldn't help but ponder about their current predicament, thinking about Gohan and how she was going to help him save Vegeta. The girl hoped that her boyfriend wouldn't have to kill the saiyan prince. The girl did not like fights to the death, for she felt that if and when the two would clash again, the result would be much uglier.

Usagi closed the bedroom window and went into her bedroom. Before she went into her nightly sleep, the girl had one thought on her mind.

'I have to help Gohan save Vegeta,' she thought as the image of a distraught Gohan and the fallen Saiyan Prince was visualized in her brain.

Later the next day, everything went on as normal and Usagi was in her home with her family. The young girl came out of her bedroom, where she often would be when she was at home, and saw her mother and father. The girl smiled when she saw a long pink box that the dad opened. She saw six donuts of various styles and garnishes.

"Your father brought home donuts," Ikuko said with a positive inflection.

"Ahh thank you!" Usagi said with enthusiasm as she did like her sweets.

"Usagi, I have something else for you. Is this what you wanted?" Kenji questioned.

The man pulled out a purple, cylindrical box out of his pocket. He handed it to his daughter, who opened the box. The girl pulled out a large crystal, the Ginzhouishou in the form it takes when she's not Sailor Moon in fact, with a small silver chain. Usagi awed at its beauty and thanked her father as she looked at the necklace and the jewel.

"How did you get that jewel? Did your boyfriend get it for you?" Kenji asked.

"Something like that," Usagi answered.

Kenji Tsukino froze. The man couldn't believe that his daughter had a boyfriend already. The bewildered father looked at his wife, who smiled. She knew that Usagi was in her first true relationship. The father gathered his nerve and looked upon his smiling wife.

Meanwhile little Shingo was playing Usagi's red handheld console. Usagi turning her attention to the boy gave the couple the perfect distraction. Just as they predicted, the blond girl ran into the dining area and took the console. Kenji and Ikuko looked back at each other as the siblings had one of their many minor spats.

"I can't believe our little girl is growing up. Soon she will leave the nest," Kenji said with a bit of sorrow.

"Kenji, you know that she will always be our spoiled little girl. Even when she becomes old," Ikuko replied.

The father couldn't help but smile at that thought, then said thought caused the couple to giggle a little as they observed Usagi playing the game and Shingo trying to take it back.

"Say, you wouldn't happen to know who her boyfriend is?" Kenji asked, trying not to sound like he was prying into Usagi's business.

"Oh Kenji, I might as well tell you. It's the son of the woman who runs the butcher shop," Ikuko said as she saw no need to keep a secret from her husband at this point.

"Hmm...maybe I ought to go with you one day when you shop for dinner. I want to meet him myself," Kenji said.

"Oh I'm sure Ms. Son would be delighted for her son to meet you," Ikuko said with a smile.

The senshi met at the park, along with Gohan. The moon brilliantly illuminated the night sky so the park was not totally dark. Luna jumped into the fountain and lowered herself as if she were going to pounce on a small animal. The crescent moon glowed on her forehead as she let out a growl. The fur on the cat was sticking straight up as she concentrated her power.

A small, golden light shined through the water. The light was bright enough against the dark contrast to truly stand out as to garner the attention of the senshi and the saiyan. The senshi stepped into the light, along with the feline companion Artemis. The senshi held hands along with Gohan as each of them transformed into their respective selves. Gohan transformed into Tuxedo Mask as to not feel like the odd one out, despite being the only humanoid male in the group. The group disappeared and teleported to the moon as the light dissipated. All was a dusky darkness as is the normal darkness of night.

The senshi landed softly onto the moon. The descent was much slower than would be on Earth due to the moon's much lower gravity. The senshi floated as they walked to a center structure of ruins.

When the six of them and the two cats went into the ruins, a shield surrounded the place. All of the sudden it is as if the gravity changed back to earth's gravity. Whether it was by leftover tech or spells was anyone's guess at that point.

Usagi looked and saw that the ruins were all turned to stone. The group looked around with her and stared in awe that there was once a civilization that lived here.

"This was the Moon Kingdom, and the building that we are near was the palace of the Moon, Silver Millennium," Sailor Venus explained, which brought shock to the group. Though their memories had indeed returned, it still felt surreal to the senshi and to Gohan as they remembered the Kingdom in its former glory.

Gohan looked and about 25 feet in front of him a rabbit creature wearing traditional martial arts clothing was hard at work with two other creatures. The bunny creature and his cohorts appeared to be making something with a wooden pot. The bunny then pulled out small, white treats of various shapes made from a glutenous rich rice.

"OOOOoooo...never thought I would see the bunny that made Mochi," Usagi said with the glee of a child ready for a sweet treat.

"Focus Sailor Moon!" shouted Luna.

"But I want Mochi, Luna," whined Usagi.

"Perhaps after we get what we came for we can get some from the strange rabbit," Luna said.

Usagi smiled, but then refocused herself as she walked through the ruins of Silver Millennium. The group made their way to the fountain, where a sword that stood around 7 feet tall was driven into a fountain-like pedestal. Gohan saw the sword and started stretching and cracking his fingers.

"I'm sorry Tuxedo Mask, but that sword is for us to pull out," Minako told the saiyan.

Gohan gave a sigh and let the four girls pull on the sword. First was Mercury, as Venus instructed. The sword came up a little as the bluenette pulled. The second was Mars, who mimicked Gohan's stretching of the fingers before making her way to the pedestal. The sword came up a little more. Jupiter was next and the sword budged to around three quarters of the way out.

Venus was the last person, since she was the leader of the Sailor Senshi. The sword came out after a mighty pull from the blond with the big bow in her hair. She held the sword as a silver light burst forth from the fountain. There, surrounded by a bubble of energy, was a miniature figure of a woman in a silvery-white dress with shiny silver hair. The figure touched down onto the pedestal as Sailor Moon came forward with the two cats.

Moon gazed in amazement at the woman with the similar hairstyle to her own. She knew who the woman was instantly. She figured out that the woman standing in some sort of mini-form was her mother from over 1000 years ago. The woman smiled at the reincarnation of her daughter in the uniform of a Sailor Guardian.

"Queen..Serenity," Sailor Moon uttered at the figure.

"Yes, I at one time was the Queen of the Moon Kingdom. Now I am but a spirit. I am glad to see you my dear daughter," the Moon Queen told the reincarnated princess.

"Yes I remember, you were my mother in my past life, " Sailor Moon pointed out.

"Serenity, you were the Princess of the Moon Kingdom, and you loved to look at the Earth. You wanted to feel it's green fields and it's gentle wind," the Moon Queen said. The queen went into the story of how the Princess would sneak off to Earth.

Moon Kingdom, 1000 years ago.

Princess Serenity exited the moon palace and tried to be sneaky. However, a voice called out, causing the princess to turn around and see Sailor Venus standing behind her. The princess couldn't help but give a goofy smile toward the Captain of her Guard. Venus stood with a smirk on her face, as she knew exactly what her princess was about to do.

"You were going to the Earth again, aren't you," Venus said.

"No I wasn't," Serenity said, trying to lie. However Serenity was never a good liar and Venus saw through it almost immediately.

"Yes you were,"said another voice. Serenity turned around and saw her other three senshi behind her, the voice being Sailor Jupiter.

"We want to come with you," Mars said, her curiosity being piqued.

"I have always wanted to see the Earth myself," Mercury said with the enthusiasm that comes with discovery and her scientific nature.

"Then it's settled, we are going to Earth with the princess," Venus said in a manner which was enthusiastic and yet left no room for debate.

Earth Palace Garden, 1000 years ago.

The senshi and their princess touch down outside the garden where she would meet Endymion every time she visited. The princess saw her prince and ran to him like she always would while the girls watched.

Four figures stood at the right side of them however, the figures noticed the senshi and for the moment it was as if time stood still for the senshi. The four greatest knights of Earth and the Sailor Senshi came toward each other and just stared.

Moon Kingdom, 1000 years later.

The senshi remembered that particular moment as they knew they were in love with the Shittentou. However, Queen Serenity's tale would take a turn for the worse. Sailor Moon and the group were listening carefully to the Queen's explanation of the events that happened in the past.

Moon Kingdom, 1000 years earlier..

Earth's forces invade and many soldiers were fighting each other. Spears, swords and shields clashed as the Earth forces advanced further onto the Moon Palace grounds due to sheer numbers. As the army marched toward the very front of the Moon Palace, Prince Endymion stood in front of the princess. The Prince seemed that he was the only one that wasn't crazed for the blood of the Moon People.

Serenity watched as her lover fought off several soldiers. The Prince's sword strikes were with the precision of a truly skilled fighter as he slain most of his opponents. There was an opening however as he had to break away to just a few feet from the Princess to defend himself and her.

The opening was all that was needed. A red headed female mage named Beryl charged at the princess with her dark aura as held a sword high above her head. She looked to be in the rage of one who had went berserk as she charged.

"Die Moon Princess!" shouted Beryl as she was sure she would kill the frightened girl.

Endymion saw what was happening and leapt in front of the Princess's attacker. The Prince had no time to bring up his guard as the sword plunged it's way through the Prince of Earth. Endymion looked up with his blue eyes at his horrified lover and smiled before he fell to the ground. Both armies continued to clash as if the sacrifice never happened.

Endymion looked up to his lover as she held his dying body. Endymion smiled again at the tearful princess as death was about to take him. The Prince had one thing to say to his princess.

"I...wish...I...was...stronger...so that...I could...protect...you," Endymion said before his body went limp. The Moon Princess cried and sobbed into the blood soaked chest of her lover as he pass away. This wasn't the last of the horrors that greeted her as she looked up at Beryl and looked at the battle taking place.

Serenity watched in shock as her palace was being overrun by the Earth's forces. She saw that Beryl was in shock at what she had done. However, her grief overtook any sense of reasoning as she reached for her lover's sword. After one sorrowful look to Beryl, the Princess took the blade and ran it through her chest, Her death was almost instant as she fell to the ground beside the dead Endymion.

The moon kingdom fell, but not before the Queen used most of her power to seal away Metallia. The queen then used the last of her powers to send all the senshi to be reborn at the proper time.

Moon Kingdom, 1000 years later,

Sailor Moon listened to the tale of her past life and was saddened on the way it ended. Gohan took it as his time to put his arms around the saddened girl. She looked at her boyfriend and smiled as she wiped the tears from her eyes. Moon leaned onto Gohan as she loved to feel his warmth.

The queen noticed this also and couldn't help but smile at the young saiyan. She saw as Gohan looked over toward her. The couple broke their embrace and Gohan took a step forward so that he could speak to the queen of the moon.

"Prince Endymion, please remove your mask and your hat," Queen Serenity requested.

Gohan removed his hat and his mask as requested. The queen took a moment to see his facial features. The saiyan was nervous as he felt like he was being watched. The queen stopped her study and began to speak.

"As I suspected, you are Prince Endymion. Though your features are strikingly different then they were 1000 years ago, your energy signature is the same as his," Serenity concluded.

"You can read people's ki?" Gohan couldn't help but ask.

"Of course I can. The ki of a person never lies. You remind me of a strange boy with a monkey's tail, who brought the bunny creature. It was quite humorous actually watching him making the rabbit and his two partners make Mochi," Serenity said.

Moon Kingdom ruins, around 26 years ago

A little boy using his red staff dragged three figures in restraints and gags. The small boy then cut the restraints and gags and found a stone pot nearby. The boy placed the pot and the two oversized hammers at their feet along with several bags of rice he pulled out of a capsule. The boy pressed the button and the many bags plopped down onto the moon's surface.

"Okay, for what you did in that village, you are going to make Mochi for all the little kids!" The boy ordered.

"For how long?" the bunny creature asked.

"Till I come and get you….I might do that next year who knows," the boy said.

The bunny creature and his two cohorts get started immediately. They did not want to raise the ire of the powerful child after all. The monkey tailed kid saw a palace in ruins and curiosity had got the better of him. Goku floated his way toward the place where the sword sat, though he did not have to touch it. The spirit of Queen Serenity appeared in front of the boy, who couldn't help but stare at the sight.

"Oooooo..."the boy said as he looked at the queen.

"And what brings you to my palace, young one?" Serenity asked.

"Well, I had to bring some rough types up here. The rabbit over there was the boss. He turned people into carrots by touching them and ate them," the boy explained.

"That sounds horrible," Serenity said.

"Ain't it….anyway I had to make sure they paid for their bad deeds. I figure making those fellers make Mochi for all the kids on earth for a while would teach 'em a lesson," the boy explained.

Serenity giggled at the boy and his enthusiasm. Though he did intrude onto the moon kingdom, she thought that it would do no harm since it was in ruins anyway.

"Oh I forgot to introduce myself. Grandpa always said it was good manners to do that. I'm Goku Son," the boy said as he put his hands together and bowed at the queen.

"And I am Queen Serenity," she said as she returned what she thought was a strange way to bow.

After a moment, Goku readied his staff as he was ready to head back to Earth. Serenity however made a small noise, to get his attention. The queen then had a ball of light envelop young Goku.

"Do not worry young one. I will make sure that those cretins make their Mochi," Serenity promised.

"Umm….I don't know what a 'cretin' is...it don't sound good. But thank you!" Goku smiled as the light disappeared and sent the little saiyan back to Earth.

Moon Kingdom, present day.

Gohan couldn't believe that the queen met his father as a boy. A small tear went down his cheek as all of the sudden a wave of memories of him and his father came back. From when he was small, to his three years training with him, to the whole time in the Room of Spirit and Time. Gohan reached his face and wiped that tear off of him.

"I'm sure that your father is very proud of you. I felt the battle between you and the creature known as Cell. Earth's prince defending his home planet against a terror, at such a young age. Sailor Moon and the Sailor Senshi will need your power now more than ever I feel. Though you will need Sailor Moon to defeat Metallia," Serenity said.

The last part of the statement shocked everyone present. Gohan had many questions for the queen, but remembered something important. He had to say something about a certain Saiyan Prince being captured.

"Queen, Gohan's friend Vegeta was captured by the dark kingdom!" Sailor Moon said, beating him to the punch.

"I'm afraid what Sailor Moon said is true...your majesty," Gohan said with sadness.

"Serenity, Endymion, do not worry about your friend. If his heart is strong, he will find a way out of the grasp of the Dark Kingdom," the queen said, causing everyone there to have some hope find their way into their hearts.

The spirit of the monarch however felt her connection to the ruined kingdom weaken. The spirit came in and out of the physical plane of existence at a rate that shocked everyone there, even the rabbit and the henchmen. Those three ran up and joined the group as the spirit began to disappear.

"My work here is done at last. Senshi, Endymion, protect the princess. And remember Serenity, you are also a normal girl. Never forget that my dear daughter," Queen Serenity said as her spirit finally passed into the Other World.

Usagi looked on in sadness as the queen disappeared. No matter how many times she called out to her the woman was gone. Gohan put his hand on her shoulder. The girl dried up her tears and after Gohan put on his hat and mask, the group teleported back to Earth.

The group looked around and the city was trapped in an ice storm. The unnatural winter wind blew so hard that people all around held their jackets tightly. Other people were on the ground, teeth chattering as the unseasonably cold weather seemingly tried to either freeze them or make them suffer hypothermia. The senshi looked around, only to see Kunzite appear in front of them.

The sailor senshi got into their stances, ready to fight. Tuxedo Mask stood in front of the senshi, ready to fight his friend from the past. The saiyan noticed something about Kunzite. The eyes were a dark purple instead of their usual blue.

"I see you've gotten stronger. Beryl reintroduced you to her magic?" Gohan asked with a taunt.

"Quiet Demon! You have possession of Endymion's soul! Relinquish yourself to the Dark Kingdom and repent!" Kunzite shouted at Gohan.

"Heh! Not the first time someone called me that," Gohan responded, the taunt he had heard a few times before in his life.

Minako however had a different idea as she stepped forward in front of Gohan. The girl looked at Kunzite with a pleading face, wanting to appeal to his humanity that he could've had deep down. Kunzite looked at the girl with no emotion, but at least he was willing to hear her for the moment.

"Kunzite, you have to remember who you are," Minako pleaded.

A part of Gohan wanted to move her out of the way and finish Kunzite himself. As he tried to step forward however, Sailor Moon placed her hand on Gohan's chest. The saiyan looked down and his girlfriend gave a simple gesture telling him no. The boy relented, though remained ready in case Kunzite tried anything.

"I am the foremost commander under Queen Beryl! You and your sentimentality will be your undoing!" Kunzite said with confidence befitting a general deluded by dark magic.

"Kunzite, I have one question for you. Where's Vegeta," shouted Gohan

"Don't worry vile one, he will come for you soon!" responded Kunzite.

"Kunzite, you have a chance that none of the other knights had!" shouted Mercury.

"Please come back to Sailor Venus!" Mars urged.

"Yeah, she deserves a chance at love," shouted Jupiter.

Usagi and Gohan stood side by side. Sailor Moon hoping that Kunzite would see sense. Gohan on the other hand was ready for a fight. Usagi couldn't help but notice Gohan's energy. She knew that her boyfriend wanted to attack at that moment. Gohan felt the itch for battle and it took much of his restraint not to go past Sailor Venus and attack the bewitched knight.

"Love, love! All you Sailor Senshi deserve is oblivion!" Kunzite declared as he raised his hand up. Lightning came down upon the four senshi and the electricity froze them into place.

Gohan, hearing their screams, was about to power up.

"Please don't Tuxedo Mask!" pleaded Sailor Venus as the electricity of the attack tore through her nervous system.

The attack ceased and the senshi fell to the ground. Gohan couldn't believe that the girls wouldn't resist him. Another attack struck the four of them and brought them that much more pain. The senshi rose to their feet, though their bodies were hurt to where the knees were shaky at best.

Gohan flared his ki. The white aura caught the attention of Kunzite as the knight felt boastful. The general fired his attacks, but Gohan moved around the field. None of the silver haired man's moves made any contact as he hit a few afterimages of Tuxedo Mask.

Sailor Moon decided at this moment to act. A shield surrounded her as she looked at Kunzite. The reincarnated princess felt that she had to attack as she held a new disdain for the commander of the Dark Kingdom.

"Kunzite, how dare you take advantage of girls who are in love! If you don't snap out of it for Sailor Venus, then on behalf of the moon I'll punish you!" Sailor Moon said in a variation of her usual speech.

"Love! Love makes you weak!" Kunzite said, which shocked the four senshi not named Sailor Moon.

"Sailor Moon I got him!" Gohan said.

"No Tuxedo Mask, I can take care of him!" Sailor Moon replied.

Gohan went back to his position in front of Sailor Venus as Sailor Moon launched herself into the air. The girl went past the atmosphere and into low earth orbit. There she twirled her staff and charged her attack.

"Moon Healing Escalation!" shouted Moon as a rainbow beam shot out. The beam expanded and lifted the unnatural ice storm out of the early summer sky. Kunzite weakened considerably because of the attack and had no choice but to flee. The silver haired general teleported out of the city before anyone had much of a chance to land the finishing blow.

Sailor Moon floated down to the ground. Gohan smiled at her as he knew she was becoming better at using her powers. Minako stood beside Gohan as the other senshi surrounded Usagi. Both Gohan and Minako walked toward the girl and spoke with her.

"Usako, you are doing great!" Gohan said.

Usagi smiled and nodded at the saiyan. The group talked to each other for a bit before they went to their homes for the evening. Usagi couldn't help but feel a bit of happiness as she heard Gohan's compliment over and over in her head as she opened the door.

The next morning went like any other. The sun was shining, the kids were in school, and the parents went to their usual jobs. The day seemed like most others, where nothing insane was happening .

On this day a man around 5 feet tall walked those city sidewalks. The man seemed like he was going nowhere in particular, with his blue spandex with white gloves and white boots with yellow tips.

A few people couldn't help but stare as they saw his hair was straight up in a widow's peak.

Vegeta had returned to the world. However, his eyes were not their usual onyx, but the purple that Kunzite had the night before. The man knew that he was here for the crystal and for Gohan.

'Beryl wants that crystal...but first things first. I'm going to beat Gohan down for all he's worth,' Vegeta thought as he walked the streets, savoring the fight to come.
