Snippets of Forever:

So Not... An Ordinary Friday.

-x-

Ron spotted Kim the very second he walked through the doors of Bueno Nacho. No amount of delectable smelling ground beef or sticky, soda-stained floor was enough to distract him from those gorgeous features under that red waterfall of hair.

Kim had already ordered her food from what he could see. Ron smiled softly to himself before swiveling around on the spot and heading towards the front counter.

His usual greeting to Ned instantly made his girlfriend's ears perk up at the cheerfulness in his voice.

Kim felt her heart beat that little bit faster for the first moment when she glanced across the restaurant at him. It wasn't long before her lips turned up into a small smile of their own.

She was so fixated on him that she totally forgot about the person already sitting at the table across from her.

"Wow, you really are smitten with the big ol', sweet goofball."

The sound of Shego's voice snapped Kim out of her trance as she blinked just once and looked back at her former foe.

"Huh?"

Shego smirked at the teen hero teasingly, "Do you even know how much those green pools of yours twinkle when you look at him?"

Kim blushed, tucking her hair behind her ear with an awkward giggle, "And I'm guessing you think that's totally weird, right?"

"Oh, no, Kimmie - not at all!" Shego exclaimed, "You two are just the cutest! I'm honestly shocked you didn't get together any sooner."

Resisting any kind of disturbed shudder, Kim simply nodded her head with a grateful smile. This new, kind, somewhat saintly Shego was certainly still taking some time to adjust to. Thinking back to what she had just said, Kim glimpsed over towards Ron again, blowing out a quiet, dreamy sigh.

"He is, though. Such the cutie, I mean," she explained, "He's really started to lean up since joining the football team. That and his adorably warm smile, like, obviously - oh, and you should see the funny way his hair sits up after he's had an afternoon nap - "

"Yeah, not to mention those hands," Shego suddenly cut in, raising an eyebrow, "You know what they say about men with big hands?"

It took a moment for the penny to drop. But when it did, Kim's jaw fell open.

"Shego!" she hissed with a surprised laugh.

"What?" the older woman asked, shrugging her shoulders with another wicked grin, "C'mon, you know you can tell me."

"Uh, you're technically my teacher now, I actually don't think I can," Kim started, quickly backtracking as her blush deepened, "Not that there's anything to tell!"

"Oh, really?" she challenged, "So, you two haven't made it to third base?"

"No."

"Second?"

"Try first."

"And you're not even a little bit curious?"

Kim slid into a sharp quiet as she awkwardly chewed on her bottom lip. This conversation had officially entered a whole other level of uncomfortable. Sharing this flustered kind of giggling gossip with Monique was one thing, but something about discussing the barely-there intimate details of her relationship with Shego of all people made Kim's stomach twist up in a knot.

She hated the feeling of it all. But the thing she hated even more?

...Shego was sort of right.

"Well..." Kim hummed, swallowing a subtle lump in her throat, "He is also sporting a size twelve shoe, so, I guess..."

The unexpected nature of her admission made even the unshakable Shego spit soda from her mouth with a surprised laugh. Kim instantly joined in, giggling so severely that she didn't even notice the figure of the boy in question finally approach their table.

The smile was quick to fall from Ron's face when he realised that Kim wasn't alone. His eyes flicked from her to Shego as his girlfriend offered him a cute, little wave.

"Oh, hi Ronster," the former villain spoke through a subtle chuckle, "We were just talking about you."

The tittering laughs that abruptly followed from the two girls were wildly unnerving.

"Talking about me how?" Ron asked, a little defensively. His stomach squirmed just slightly when Kim slid over and patted the seat next to her for him to sit, "Did it have something to do with pants?"

A beat of silence awkwardly slipped by before Kim and Shego suddenly erupted with laughter again. Ron grumbled to himself, leaning on the table with his chin in his hand and a frown on his face.

If this truly was his and Kim's new reality, it was certainly going to take some getting used to...

The smell of buttered popcorn made Kim's stomach rumble as she fell back into the couch and snuck a piece into her mouth. It was early on Friday evening, and Kim was just settling her for her favourite time of the week - her Ron Night.

The thought made her smile. His dedicated weekly time slot may have gained some redundancy since the two started dating, but there was nothing Kim loved more than seeing the happiness in Ron's expression whenever she still referred to it as no ordinary Friday.

The young couple had forgone all their usual plans of Bueno Nacho and a date for a quiet night in with a movie instead. It had certainly been a long week - not to mention Ron's mind still felt kind of muddled from being so harshly switched from good to evil and back again. A relaxing evening to completely take their mind off all things Attitudinator, and Team GO, and especially Shego was exactly what the both of them needed.

Just as Kim was beginning to wonder where her boyfriend was, she finally heard the sound of the Possibles' front door opening and closing back in place.

"KP?"

"Living room," she called to him, grinning sweetly when he made his entrance, "I've got an extra big, extra buttery bowl of popcorn with your name on it."

Ron felt a comforting warmth radiate in his chest when his eyes fell on her. Kim popped another couple of pieces of the salty snack in her mouth as she held the bowl out towards her boyfriend. As tempting as it was for the blonde boy to dive head first into the mountain of popcorn and snuggle up on the couch with his girl for the rest of the evening, it turned out on that particular Friday evening, Ron had some plans of his own for his self-titled night.

"Actually," he began, taking a step further into the living room, "I sorta' have a surprise for you."

Kim's green orbs instantly widened.

The teenage girl scurried over to the far cushion, pressing herself up on her knees expectantly while Ron stood on the other side of the arm of the couch.

"Go on?"

"Okay, but let me start by saying that if you'd just rather stay in tonight, then we can totally - "

"Ron?"

When her gentle tone cut off his uncertain ramblings, Ron glanced back down at Kim with an affectionate smirk. Without keeping her waiting a second longer, he reached down to open his pants pocket.

"Rufus?"

The hairless, pink rodent immediately sprung from his human's pocket, bouncing onto the fabric of the couch and holding up two paper tickets in his tiny hands.

"Ta-dah!" he announced proudly, passing the mystery tickets to Kim.

Ron watched her as she read on, his heart skipping a beat when a glimmer of realisation sparkled in her eyes.

"...Roller skating?"

"Well, yeah. I know you've been kinda' bummed since the whole Shego sitch, and the rink down at the Middletown mall had this whole two-for-one couples' deal going on, so - "

"But you hate roller skating."

"But you love roller skating," he countered, trailing off for a moment, "I mean, apparently. Last week with Shego was the first time I've ever actually heard you mention - "

And for the third time in what felt like just as many seconds, Kim boldly cut Ron off again, only this time, she did so with her lips. The redhead stretched her neck upwards, pressing a short, sweet kiss to her boyfriend's mouth.

He had a dizzy grin on his face when she pulled back.

"You're the best," Kim spoke simply.

"The best boyfriend? 'Sha, no doubt," he teased, "But the best roller skater? I'm gonna' go with a big, fat 'no'."

Kim cocked a challenging eyebrow, "Only one way to find out."

Her excitement was punctuated by a high-pitched 'yippee' from Rufus as Ron subtly rolled his eyes and allowed Kim to drag him out of the living room behind her. But the sensation of her hand squeezing his quickly made all of his negativity drain.

What were one or two little bumps or bruises, anyway?

Correction - nine.

Ron had counted nine bruises over various places across his body in the short hour or so that he had been stumbling his way around the roller rink, desperately trying to keep up with Kim.

Now, the teenager was slumped down on the small set of bleachers over the other side of the barricade, his head resting dejectedly in his hand. He couldn't help the flutter of his heart when he spotted his girlfriend float and dance her way across the smooth floor with all the grace and poise of an Olympian.

Kim offered him a sympathetic smile when she rolled up to the side of the rink and glanced down at Ron. Rufus was right by her side, pirouetting flawlessly in his own tiny pair of skates.

"Ready to give it another go?" she asked hopefully.

"And go for bruise number ten?" he sniped back, "Uh-uh, Mama didn't raise no fool, KP."

"I'm not going to let you fall again," Kim urged with a gentle roll of her eyes, "Just one more try? We could go and get ice cream after?"

"Do not manipulate me with ice cream, temptress!"

Kim huffed out a breath, blowing the longer strands of her red hair out of her face. While Ron's initiative to mix up their date night may have been sweet, a little follow-through on his part would have been nice, too.

It was clearly time for the big guns to come out - and as Kim protruded her bottom lip in a classic puppy-dog pout, she reached her hand out for Ron's.

"You trust me?"

Ron's answer was instant.

"You have to ask?"

"Well...?"

It was Ron's turn to sigh as he tried to ignore the tightening of his stomach at the sight of Kim's adorable pout. She always did know how to get the best of him.

The lyrical nature of her voice and the soft comfort in her green eyes practically lifted Ron to his feet as he quickly secured himself against the barricade. Kim giggled under her breath, taking his hands and coaxing him back onto the slippery floor. His grip felt much safer in hers, but it didn't stop Ron from almost tumbling forward the second he tried to take a step. Kim echoed another light laugh.

"Here, it's more of a gliding motion, like this," she instructed, flicking her feet out behind her.

"You're literally going backwards," Ron commented sharply as Kim tugged him along in front of her, "How am I supposed to copy you?"

"Well, just look at Rufus instead," she pointed out while their little buddy danced around their feet.

A flash of another annoyed grimace crossed him before Ron finally allowed an ironic smirk to pop up in the corner of his lips, "How is it that I can keep my balance being towed by you on a pair of skates down the rockiest mountains in South America - "

"You're probably distracted by all your screaming."

"Ignoring - but I can't even stand up straight in the kiddie rink at the mall!"

"Mm, I wouldn't be so sure," Kim started sweetly, "Quit staring at your feet and look up. We made it to the other side."

Ron was confused for the first second, but when he eventually tore all his focus away from the eight tiny wheels beneath him, he realised that what Kim was saying was true. It might not have been smooth, and he might have needed all the help and strength of his one hundred and twenty pound girlfriend, but somehow he had made it in one piece from one side of the roller rink to the other.

"Hey, I did do it!" he exclaimed, mimicking Rufus' supportive cheers from the ground, "Oh, yeah! Who's the man?"

"Don't go leaping out of your skates yet, doofus, we've still gotta' make it back again," Kim teased, quickly spinning the two of them around on the spot.

A nervous 'whoa' wobbled it's way out of Ron's mouth, but Kim was able to straighten the both of them up as she steadied his footing. After a couple of calming seconds, she carefully dropped his hands and slid back a few inches.

"Baby steps," she encouraged, beckoning him forward.

"Kim - "

"Ron - "

"Okay, okay," he finally conceded, "Okay, so, if I just glide forward slowly like you said, then - ah!"

Her reaction time was impeccable as Kim swiftly cradled Ron in her arms before he could plummet back to the floor. She shook her head, trying her hardest not to laugh at him again. But by now, the hilarity of it all couldn't even be lost on Ron.

"Badical save," he admitted with a chuckle and an appreciative smile, "But any chance I could win back some points for my manhood if you hold just one hand instead of two?"

Scrunching up her nose at him in silent agreement, Kim slowly dropped one of Ron's hands as she kept a tight hold around the other. She gave it a devoted squeeze, easing him back into the centre of the rink.

His eyes were still glued to the floor, but Kim's own orbs were twinkling with affection where they stayed locked on Ron. The concentration in his face was adorable. His brow was furrowed and the end of his tongue was just poking out between his teeth as he bravely made his way across the floor. Sure, the so-called bravery he was exerting may not have been that of skating down a precariously steep mountain in the Amazon, but he was still trying something new that freaked him out. Not to mention he was only doing it to make Kim happy. It made her heart race.

The redhead felt a butterfly tumble through her tummy as she followed the firm line of Ron's clenched jaw all the way down to his lips. And as the floating feeling in her stomach turned to a heated rumble, Kim swallowed a lump in her throat.

"Hey, so, how about when we pick up that ice cream we drive up to the top of Mount Middleton and eat in the car?"

"Mhm, sure, whatever you want," Ron quickly replied, clearly too focused to properly answer his girlfriend. But Kim didn't mind. In fact, his response only made her smile grow.

Ron wasn't the only one out of the two of them who might have been ready to try something just a little scary that night.

With his bulging, pink tummy comfortably filled with ice cream, Rufus snored away where he slept on the back seat of the Sloth. Kim couldn't help but shake her head fondly at the peculiar sight.

"I don't think I'll ever understand how he can eat more than me."

"Hey, you know we both take our eating schedules very seriously," Ron replied from the passenger seat.

With a roll of her eyes, Kim swiveled around to face him, "Mhm, I've noticed that, actually."

Her sarcasm was palpable as Ron narrowed his eyes at her, "Ha ha," he hummed, popping the last scoop of his own ice cream in his mouth.

Kim smirked at him with a cheeky wink. There was a beat of silence as she blew out a soft sigh and relaxed back into her seat, staring at him more sweetly.

The sun had gone down a short while ago, and now a billion bright stars speckled the early evening sky above them where the Sloth was parked atop Mount Middleton. There was a slight chill in the air, but Kim and Ron were toasty and warm in the cabin of the purple car. The yellow glow from the headlights was switched off, so the full spectacle of the wide, light sky was on display. The view was incredible.

And yet, Kim couldn't tear her eyes away from Ron.

"Thanks again," she spoke quietly, "For tonight."

Ron frowned for the first second before returning her appreciative smile, "No need to thank your BF for doing BF things, KP," he assured her. His expression slipped for a moment then when he wriggled around in the passenger seat with a nervous squirm, "I mean, I guess I did sorta' owe it to you after turning Shego back to the dark side."

Kim's jaw dropped slightly, surprised at her boyfriend's admission, "What?" she asked, "You shouldn't feel bad about that, Ron, it was just an accident."

"Yeah, I know, but still," he argued, "You two were getting kinda' close. Like, weirdly close, but, whatever - it still might've actually been handy to have her on our side."

Kim offered him a small shrug, scooping up the final bite of her dessert, "It just wasn't meant to be. She was the one who willingly walked away from her brothers in the first place, I guess. There was no way she could ever stay good forever."

It was strange - the tone in Kim's voice sounded almost regretful. Ron supposed he understood where his girlfriend was coming from. Kim and Shego were so compatible in combat that it only made sense those skills would be equally transferable as team mates. That, and he knew deep down that Kim truly was enjoying the new found friendship she had been building with the green villainess.

But did that mean Ron shared all the same disappointment? Not necessarily... and this was suddenly all too clear in his expression as Kim shot a hard, knowing stare at him. Her eyes narrowed with another smirk as Ron blinked.

"What?"

"Ron."

"What?"

"Were you jealin' over Shego?"

"What?!" he repeated for a third and final time, "Are you kidding me? Jealin'? 'Cause of Shego?"

Even as he emphasised his defiant argument with an almighty scoff and wave of his hand, Kim could only shake her head.

"Okaaay, maybe I was like, the teeniest, tiniest, itty-bitty bit jealous."

Subtlety never had been his strong suit.

"But only because you two were having lunches, and seeing lame movies together, and do not get me started on that whole eyebrow thing again!"

"Is your brain still totally scrambled? It's like you want me to have bushes for eyebrows - "

" - Not the point," Ron huffed back at Kim's teasing, "It was you and her, together, all the time. I was such the third tyre to you two!"

"Third wheel, Ron."

"See!"

"Shhh," Kim finally cut him off, glancing over her right shoulder, "You'll wake Rufus."

There was a tense silence for only a split second before the unmistakable noise of Rufus' tiny snores filled the space of the car again. Ron was wearing a sheepish grin when Kim turned back to face him. Her features were unimpressed at first, but a smile mirroring his own soon crept across her face.

Glancing back downwards as she feigned the faintest blush, Kim shuffled over in her seat, scooting that bit closer to Ron's side of the car.

"You could so never be a third wheel to me, no matter who else is in the picture," she assured him, "Even ten Shegos on our side wouldn't ever be more valuable to me than one Ron."

Her words struck Ron rather sweetly as his own face flushed pink, "I dunno', KP, Drakken does keep her around for some reason. She must be at least above average at the whole sidekicking thing."

"True," Kim spoke with a near-whisper. She looked up at her boyfriend, her eyes fastening themselves to his, "But she's nowhere near as good as mine."

The quiet was suddenly back, only being broken by the thumping of both teenagers' hearts. The gap was narrowing between them, and they could almost taste the heat on each other's mouths. Kim felt her chest skip a beat when she spotted Ron lick his bottom lip to speak.

"For the record, even when my brain is totally scrambled, there's no way I could ever be around you and stay evil forever."

"Good," Kim hummed, gently taking her hand to rest on the back of his neck, "Because the only place you need to stay forever is with me."

His fortitude finally crumbled as Ron took it upon himself to close the space between them and press his lips to Kim's in an affectionate kiss. A soft sigh happily escaped Kim as she kept a hold of him and ran her nails through the lick of blonde hair in the nape of his neck. His touch was soon on her, too, when he reached for her opposite hand and squeezed, before sliding up to settle his grip on her hip.

The taste of ice cream dancing on their tongues was doing wonders to neutralise the heat still radiating between them. But the sweet and tender nature of their exchange was quickly thwarted for something a little more passionate when Kim opened her mouth even further to Ron's.

She brought her hand back down to cup one side of his face while her free extremity caught him on the opposite cheek. There were suddenly a million things she was trying to tell him in the one exchange. How thankful she was for their date night, how much she didn't blame him for the Attitudinator sitch, and how apologetic she was for ever making him feel abandoned for Shego. His fingers were digging deeper into the skin of her hip, and when her own touch lingered down to the shell of his ears and the base of his neck, their make out session had rapidly come at full force.

Her tongue met his for the briefest few seconds before Kim's kiss followed the trail across his jaw and down his neck where her hand had just been. She heard Ron huff out a shallow breath as he totally fell under the spell of her kiss. He was frozen while her lips peppered their way across his skin. And then, a twitch in his wrist brought him back to life when his hand strolled away from her hip and instead slithered under the hem of Kim's shirt.

His slow movements were equal parts endearing and frustrating. The tip-toeing nature of his fingers made her shiver as his hand climbed her rib cage like a ladder and settled above her waist. When he danced along the wiring of her bra and finally took his hand to the front of the undergarment, Kim let out a gasp.

The teenage girl abruptly pulled back, stunning her boyfriend for a split second before she jabbed at a button on the centre console of her high-tech car. When the console retracted and dropped through the floor, Kim near enough leaped into the now open space. She swore she heard a whispered 'boo-yah' from Ron when she slung both her legs over his that was closest to her. But any noise was quickly swallowed up when their mouths came back together to lap at each other's kiss over and over again.

Her arms were wrapped around his neck, while his own went right back to work. He groped her through her clothing first, but Kim quickly allowed his touch to fly back under her shirt. His palm was re-acquainting itself with the familiar size of her breasts before he lifted one out of the cup of her bra and squeezed at her soft skin. It was bizarre how his movements seemed to carry the perfect combination of gentle caresses and harsh pinches. Her stomach ached and she squeaked out loud when his thumb rolled over her nipple.

She inhaled all the flavours of his kiss again as he began to fiddle with the clasp of her bra. Kim never knew Ron's hands were capable of so much. But what was even more surprising - once this thought crossed her, was the sudden sense of curiosity that came along with it. Her awkwardly embarrassing conversation with Shego from the week prior was abruptly at the forefront of her mind.

Kim's complexion paled for the first half a second before pigments of red began to fill her pores all over again. She struggled to concentrate, totally hypnotised by the way Ron's touch felt on her skin. But the thought remained strong in her mind. She kind of, sort of... longed to touch him, too.

As he continued to fight his losing battle with her bra, Ron felt a shiver overtake him when Kim clutched onto the front of his red jersey and tugged him closer towards her. She seemed to be holding on desperately for a moment or two. But then, her hand began to slip lower. On instinct alone, he almost shrunk away within himself when she all too easily unclipped the buckle of his belt.

Typical - that darn belt never had done a good job of holding up his pants.

"Wh-whoa," he sputtered shooting his hand down to stop hers.

The reaction from him had not been what Kim was expecting. She shuffled back from where she was sort of half-sitting in his lap, trying to edge out any feelings of humiliation that dared to creep up on her. And then, Kim timidly glanced up at Ron.

"Oh-h, sorry," she whispered with a stutter, "Do you, um... like, you don't want me to?"

"N-no," he answered, quickly shaking his head, "Or, wait, like, yes, I mean... yes, I do want you to," he corrected with a long sigh, "But, like... only if you're sure you're okay with it."

Kim felt her heart skip a beat.

With all her own clothing still technically secured, she silently readjusted the front of her bra to sit properly on her chest before reaching a hand back up to caress Ron's cheek. And then, she leaned in with an innocent kiss - a kiss that told him she was sure and that everything was okay.

Ron tried to calm the nerves that had swiftly consumed him when he leaned back into the passenger seat. He allowed Kim to kiss him again and take her hand back downwards, slowly pulling on his fly. The sensation was overwhelming enough already, and she hadn't even done anything yet. Not really. But that all changed when he felt her fingers trace themselves along the front of his boxers.

He hissed inwards, and Kim almost jumped in surprise when she felt him quiver below the green and white spotted material. She could already tell that Ron was just as aroused as he had been during their post-Homecoming make out session. It hit the teenage girl pretty quickly then - did she even have any idea what the heck she was doing? Obviously not, she swiftly concluded. This was a first time experience for both her and her boyfriend. But despite what she told herself earlier, Kim was determined to not let any of it scare her. She wasn't going to let it scare either of them.

The sound that Ron made when Kim's hand finally slipped inside his underwear was sort of intimidating. She immediately muffled the noise with another kiss on his mouth. Her eyes remained closed and her lips remained on his when she grasped him gently and slowly started to move back and forth.

Ron wriggled slightly in his place, lifting himself off his seat for a second so he could tug his pants down just enough for Kim to have easier access. The movement made Kim peak her eyes open, and on impulse alone, her green orbs flew down to where her hand was shifting against his length. Her cheeks reddened and she swallowed, hard. She supposed he didn't look as scary as she might have once imagined - but Kim definitely had a sudden understanding of the expression that had graced Ron's face when he first saw her topless after the dance.

She thought about saying something, but simply bit her lip with a shy sigh and kissed him again. She was trying to pay close attention to exactly what she was doing - but not so much that she would lose all focus on how magical the intense moment was. She heard another groan reverberate from the back of Ron's throat, and with that, Kim finally pulled back and took a more purposeful glance down at him.

Ron was certainly a lot firmer than the brush of contact she had felt against her leg on his couch a couple of weeks prior. Kim's blush settled to a deep red as she ran her hand over his tip and continued to move up and down. Ron's own hand was suddenly there, too, guiding her grip all the way down and subtly coaching her to pump every inch from top to bottom at a slightly faster speed.

The sensation was a dozen different kinds of breathtaking. Ron felt his mind absolutely race - a million thoughts consuming him as his abdomen bubbled with more and more pleasure. But there was only one thought that spoke volumes louder than all others.

Kim. She was so beautiful. She was beautiful, and her touch felt incredible, and she was all his. He threw himself back into the head rest of his seat with a grunt from between his teeth.

"Kim..."

Before she could even understand what he was doing, Ron suddenly snatched up the napkin from his ice cream cup and swatted her hand away, covering himself with the paper cloth and huffing out with a climatic sigh.

Kim's heart was pounding. For the first half a second, she was trying to process whether he had stopped her out of rejection. But in the next moment, her naivety fell away when she realised what had happened. There was a thin line of sweat rolling along Ron's forehead, and the expression on his face was floating with pure ecstasy.

Her mouth upturned into a sensual smirk as she broke the silence that had filled the car.

"Was that... like, okay?"

Ron still wasn't sure whether he could speak just yet. As he finished coming down from his high, he shifted his head to the side to look at Kim with a grateful smile and a nod of his head.

"And, so... that wasn't the first time that..." her confidence dwindled just a little when she fumbled her way through the end of her sentence, "Like, you've done this... by yourself, or whatever, before...?"

As he finally regathered himself enough to finish cleaning up and readjust his pants on his hips, Ron shot Kim an obvious look.

The redhead giggled, embarrassed, "Well, ya' know, it's not like this has exactly come up in conversation before."

"I know, I know, I'm just messin' with ya'," Ron eventually spoke. He made sure to sufficiently scrunch up his used napkin and place it back in his paper ice cream cup, leaving the rubbish on the car's dashboard and out of harm's way. And then, he glanced back around at Kim.

The two of them had taken another step, and after just over four months of dating, it was sort of big one. But as their vulnerabilities with one another continued to shrink, their trust was only growing more and more. After all, they weren't little kids anymore. They might not have exactly been fully fledged adults, either - but still, the little girl and boy who had first met at four years old were long gone. At least, on the outside they were.

And to think Kim ever said that Ron wasn't really a boy.

"You good?"

His voice made her shiver just slightly when Kim nodded her head, "You?"

There was a moment of an affectionate, understanding, committed smile between the two before Ron nodded right back and took a hand to her cheek, leaning in towards her.

His whispered against her lips, kissing her with a gentle innocence, "You're so badically amazing."

It was a little while later when the Kimmunicator rang that Rufus finally woke with a start. He chirped in surprise from the back seat, totally oblivious to what he had been sleeping through only minutes earlier. Kim and Ron were just as startled and sprung wide apart from where they were still snuggled together closer to the passenger side of the car.

The young heroes took the impromptu briefing from Wade, exercising what they hoped was a cool level of subtlety. Soon enough, the Sloth was tearing down the mountain towards the cargo terminal at Middleton airport so the pair could quickly board a plane.

As it turned out, Duff Killigan had busted out of prison and was now on a rampage of robbery all across Europe. It was something about a museum heist. Or a high-tech lab heist.

It was some kind of serial heist.

Ron couldn't exactly remember what Wade had said. He was sort of distracted in that moment.

"Does the screen in your car always flash on automatically?"

"Yeah?"

"Without you having to answer the call or, like, patch Wade through?"

"...Yeah?"

"...We might want to get that fixed."
