(Alex's Pov)
-Five Years Later-
I was working with Grime and Yunan as they set out some building designs and I look at it and smile a little bit. I looked to the actual building and I was very happy about all this.
"They are going to love it." I say and look to them.
"We tried to get all three ecosystems together plus from what we had seen in your world too, so you have a bit of everyone with you." Olivia says and I look to her and nod.
"Thank you for helping with this, I mean… I know you guys are ok with all of us staying with you all but…" I stop and look to them.
"It's fine Alex besides we think you three are too old to be coddled by us." Olivia says.
"I do not coddle Alex, he knows-."
"Dude you cried when I asked if it was ok if I could build my own home with Anne and Marcy." I tell him and he turns a bit red.
"I-I did not." He says and I smirked at him.
"Ok you old brute." I say and pat his shoulder.
"HEY ANNE AND MARCY ARE BACK!" I hear and we all head over to the docks and I wave when I see Anne and Mary's ship.
"HEY ALEX!" I hear Marcy yell and I smiled at this. The ship comes up and a bunch of pollywogs come running up to the two as they got off the ship.
"Aunt Anne, Aunt Mar-Mar." They say and I chuckled as they were able to climb up on them.
"Hahah, hey little dudes." Anne says and I come up to them.
"Dad said he would play with us where is he?" The little one asked and I chuckled.
"He's getting stuff for your mom right now off the ship, so I wouldn't try and… sneak attack him." Anne says and they gasp as they hurry onto the ship and I come up to Anne and Marcy and kiss both their cheeks.
"And how are you today?" Marcy asked.
"Eh, little tired but nothing new you know." I say and they hugged me.
"Didn't even miss us?" Anne asked.
"Oh, I missed you both a lot… also… I have a surprise for the both of you, now you two might like it and if we need to make any changes, just say the word and I'll get the tools to work on it." I tell them.
"What did you do?" Marcy asked.
"You'll see." I tell them and then clap my hands together.
"Now, let's go-."
"AHHH WHY? WHY ARE THEY LIKE THIS?!" We hear and I laughed as Sprig comes running out and I laughed more.
"Oh god they actually did it." Anne says as the little ones run out the ship chasing their dad and I shake my head and look to Anne and Marcy.
"Well… can you show us the surprise?" Marcy asked and I smile and nod as I take them to edge of Wartwood. We couldn't build on the actual grounds of Wartwood due to a previous incident with Marcy and former Mayor toadstool. I made them cover their eyes and we finally get to the house and I place my hands on both their shoulders.
"Alright… open them." I say and they both opened their eyes and they don't say anything. I felt like I had messed up but then they both turn to look at me.
"You… when?" Anne asked and I smile.
"When you and Marcy went with Sprig to the new continent, I thought maybe… We could have a place of our own… if you guys want that is, I know you guys' love living with-."
"No, No, No, this is great actually I mean Oliva and Yunan are adopting so I mean it would make more room for them and the kids." Marcy says.
"Plus, HopPop needs some time to himself anyway, plus we can visit them anytime we want." Anne says.
"So… you want to move in tonight?" I asked.
"Hell yea." Marcy says and she runs into the house and I laughed and looked to Anne as she walked up to the house.
"Uh… Grime, Yunan and even Polly helped with building it… HopPop put his own little touch to it as well." I say as we go to the garden in the back and I look to the side a bit to see Anne smile at the garden.
"OH, MY FROG!" We hear Marcy say excited and she opened the window and I look up.
"MY OWN GAME ROOM?!" She asked and I nodded.
"YES!" She yelled and goes back in and I chuckled and looked to Anne as we take a tour of the house. They were happy with the house and we hear a knock on the door so we go to answer it and we see Olivia and Yunan.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I asked.
"The planters wanted to be here but they're getting a Surp-." Olivia elbows Yunan in the gut and I raise a brow at this.
"The planters and the rest of the town have something special planned out, and we were hoping you would come." Olivia says and I nod.
"Sure, oh Oliva Marcy loves the game room." I tell her.
"I hope so, she's been wanting to play those campaigns for a while and I thought she would need a room of her own." She says and I nod and we turn as we hear a crash and I go help Marcy up but she shoots right up like nothing happened.
"I'm ok." She states and I chuckled.
"Hey we're about to head into town want to come?" I asked and she nods quickly.
"Yea let's go." She says as she runs out and meets up with Olivia and Yunan and walks with them and I look to Anne.
"Come on let's go find the Planters and Grime… kind of crazing beetle jerky." Anne says.
"Oh man I would love some of that right now." I say as we walked out. We head to the Planters house and we see Sprig running out screaming.
"IVY HELP!" He yelled.
"You're on your own." She says and I laughed as she then tried to help him and I look to Polly who comes over to us.
"Hey I just fixed up your phone." She says as she hands it to Anne.
"Thanks dude, can't believe Sprig was able crack it like that." Anne says and she looked back to the photos and I look to.
"Oh, and I was able to print out those photos I hope you don't mind, but HopPop wanted to make a new addition to the Planter shrub and for a family photo album." Polly says.
"Planter Shrub?" I asked.
"Family tree." Anne says and she looked to Polly.
"Thanks, and of course I don't mind I can make more room in my phone." She tells her.
"Awesome." Polly says and we go help Sprig round up the kids. I was holding all three of them as we went to Grimes house. He was coming out and ready for us already and we all walk into the town to see Marcy talking with Maddie. We go over to them as one of Sprigs kids decided to try and get on top of my head.
"Woah there little one." Anne says as she grabbed them off my head.
"You're just like your aunt Polly." HopPop says and I laughed.
"Uncle Alex is fine with it though." They say and I shrugged.
"Hey be a little adventurous, nothing wrong with that." I say.
"Don't be giving her any ideas now." Polly says and I smile.
"When they get bigger maybe they can come travel with us." I suggested and they all look at me with big eyes.
"WE CAN!?" They all say and I laughed.
"As long as your parents are ok with it that is… still need their approval." I state and they nod as they hop out my arms and head to their parents. I bet they're asking them right now and I go over to Anne and Marcy.
"So, I never did ask, how was the trip?" I asked them.
"Oh, it was great we found some new plant life and I took lots of notes." Marcy says.
"Yea and Mar-Mar here almost got eaten by one of those plants." Anne says and I chuckled.
"Classic Marcy." I say.
"Hey now I've gotten better about getting eaten, it only happened like… three times." She says and I smiled.
"One less than last time." I say and she shoved me a bit.
"Hey ya'll." We hear and look to see HopPop over by a screen.
"Thanks to Polly here we now have moving pictures ooooh." He says and we all go and take a seat.
"So, it's been five years to this day that Anne, Marcy and Alex here helped save our world, and we are very happy to have them here with us." He says and I look to Anne and Marcy a bit then back to HopPop.
"So anyway, we have a special movie planned for them and for everyone here." He says and hops off the stage and the movie starts up and it's showing pictures that Anne had taken and I chuckled as we see her and Sprig being chased by a giant snake from the lake.
"Oooh don't remind me." Anne says as she covered her face. Many more pictures were shown from Anne and Marcy's time in Amphibia I keep watching and there's some photos of Anne and the planters in the human world and I smiled as I see Anne with HopPop as she was wearing a graduation gown.
"That was after I got my degree in herpetology." She tells me and I nod at this. There were many more photos even of Sprig and Ivy's wedding and I keep watching as more and more photos pass by on the screen. When they were done HopPop comes back to the stage and talks more.
"Now let's all get this party started." Sprig says as he hopped onto the stage and started to blast music and I laughed a little as we get up and we head over to the dance floor. Anne and Marcy were dancing and I was on the side with Grime as we drank some boggrog.
"How was the tour of the house?" He asked and I look to him.
"They loved it, they want to thank you and the others." I tell him.
"That's sweet." He says and I chuckled.
"Yea… thanks again." I tell him.
"Do you ever miss you're your old home?" He asked.
"Sometimes but… honestly I'm ok with staying here." I say and I take a drink.
"Well, at least you all are happy about this." He says and I nod a bit.
"Alex, Alex, Alex." Anne says as her and Marcy run up to me.
"What?" I asked as I set my drink down.
"Oliva and Yunan, want us to come to Newtopia we can plan that big date." Marcy says as she shoved my shoulder a bit and I smile.
"Sure, when should we head out?" I asked.
"We can head out tomorrow morning, after HopPops and Grimes breakfast." Anne says and I nod at this.
"Sure, waffles?" I asked Grime who nods. Everyone was having a great time and I leave the party and head over to the house. I rubbed the back of my head and head up to the room. I don't know why but I feel sick and I just wanted to lay down. My head hurts as I lay on the bed a bit and rubbed my face a bit. I don't know how long I was out but I hear someone open the door and I open my eyes and look to the side just as Anne and Marcy came in and took a seat on the bed and Anne placed her hand to my cheek and I smiled a bit.
"Grime said you didn't feel good." Anne says and I nod a bit.
"Head hurts." I say and she smiled a little at me.
"Need me to get you some medicine?" Marcy asked.
"Nah it's fine." I say and wave it off.
"Are you going to be ok for tomorrow?" Anne asked and I watch Marcy head to the medicine cabinet.
"Yea, of course, it's just a pass and go, you know." I tell her and she nods a little and kisses my head a bit and I smile.
"Well, you're still going to take the medicine." Marcy says as she comes over to us and I groan a little.
"Come on, sit up you big grump." Anne says and I sigh as I get up and take the glass from her and open my hand for the pill. She gives it to me and I take it with the water and set the glass on the nightstand and look to them.
"Want us to stay with you?" Anne asked and I nod a bit.
"Yea, that would be nice." I tell them and they smile.
"Hahaha, sleep over." Marcy says as she runs out the room and Anne laughed a little at this and I look to Anne.
"I was kind of hoping you two would like to stay here with me, I mean… in this room?" I asked and she looked at me and I nod.
"I mean you don't have to it's just an offer, I mean." I start to mess up my words a bit and Anne puts both her hands on my face.
"Hey, it's ok… I think Marcy would agree with me to stay with you." She says.
"I don't mind, we can use our rooms as spares." Marcy says and I chuckle as I see her with a bunch of pillows and blankets. Anne and I go and help her and we set up the room and all laid down on the bed and I closed my eyes a bit.
"Want to do a scare dare?" I hear and think.
"What could we possible do to try and scare each other?" I asked.
"Now that I think about it… we've been in so many dangerous situations I have no idea." Marcy says and I look to her. I think for a bit and smirked as I look back to the ceiling and chuckled.
"My dad once told me that marriage was pretty scary." I say and I hear Anne coughing a bit.
"Marriage?" She asked and I wave my hand.
"Eh, not scary enough though." I say and I look to them.
"Wait… are you serious?" Marcy asked and I look back to the ceiling.
"Alex?" Anne asked and I shrugged a bit.
"I mean… maybe later in the future but that's if you two are up to it?" I asked.
"Let's wait another year." I suggest.
"Wait, hold on." Marcy says and she gets on top of me and I look at her as she looked to me and I look to Anne.
"Umm."
"Are you serious?" She asked and I look back to her.
"I mean…" I stop and look to the side a bit. not looking at her or Anne.
"Alex… would you be ok with being with us?" Anne asked and I look to her.
"I am, I love you both, I love what we have together… it's just… I don't know." I say and sighed a bit at this.
"Are you afraid we'll end up like your parents?" Marcy asked and I look up to Marcy as she looked to me.
"Are you?" Anne asked and I sighed a bit and move my hand and rubbed my face a bit.
"I… I guess a little bit has to do with that… I mean it's pretty scary to think I could be like my mom and dad when it comes to… that step in our lives." I explained.
"But look at our parents." Anne says and I chuckled.
"I think your parents are a better example… I mean not to be mean Marcy-."
"Oh no, I get it, if we ever did have kids, I wouldn't want to be a bad parent like mine." Marcy says and I take a look to both of them.
"Kids?" Anne asked.
"Well let's be fair here if we do end up getting married then we will want kids one day, right?" Marcy asked.
"She's not wrong Anna-Banana, it could happen." I joke and she hits me in the face with a pillow and I laughed at this.
"Come on be serious." She says.
"I am though… I mean yea we should wait till we have everything figured out, but come on… HopPop would be happy to be a great grandpop to your kids… Yunan and Olivia would be happy to be grandmothers." I say and look to them.
"Sprig wants to be an uncle really bad." Anne says and I smiled.
"And I bet Grime would be so happy to be a grandpa too." Marcy says and I chuckled.
"Well, he ain't giving me any siblings so looks like it falls on me." I mutter and they both laughed at this and look at them.
"So… was this you making a… proposal?" Marcy asked and I look at Anne and Marcy.
"I don't know… I think I can finally put my name-."
"Oh no, you are not going to finally put your name in the book for this reason." Marcy says and I look to them.
"Do you guys really want me to propose to you like this?" I asked.
"Dude, we don't care." Anne says and look at them.
"So?" Marcy asked and shake my head.
"Just give me the book." I say.
"Come on dude-."
"Wait I have an idea." Marcy says and I look to the ceiling a bit.
"What's the idea Mar-Mar?" Anne asked and I keep looking to the ceiling.
"How about… Alex… can take the time to plan out how he wants to he's got… until we leave Newtopia." Marcy suggests and I think a bit and look to her.
"How long we staying?" I asked.
"About a week, and a few days." She says and I nod at this.
"Alright… and if I don't?" I asked.
"Guess you'll have to put your name in the book of losers." Anne says and I clear my throat a bit.
"So… I can plan it out how I want?" I asked.
"Please keep it to a minimum." Marcy says.
"And it could give me time to get rings." I say to myself. I then look to them and nod.
"Ok, yea, I can do this." I say and Marcy kisses me and I kissed her back and then I look to Anne and smirks as she gives me a kiss and then she kisses Marcy.
"Damn… I got two girlfriends." I say and we all laughed at this.
"Alright, let's get some sleep." I mutter and Marcy gets off me. We lay in silence for a bit and I take a deep breath and I rubbed my face.
"Do you guys miss home?" I asked.
"What brought this up?" Anne asked and I turn on my side and place my hand on Marcy's side a bit.
"I don't know… Grime mentioned it at the party and I guess it got me thinking." I tell them.
"Do you miss home?" Marcy asked.
"I guess a little… I mean I didn't really get to see my dad… even when." I stopped and shook my head.
"The core?" Marcy says quietly and I nod.
"I know it's gone and all but… I still wish I could have talked to my dad at least once… I saw him but… I couldn't talk to him you know?" I say and look to them.
"I miss my parents… wonder if they have another kid." Anne says and I look to her.
"Hey-."
"It's fine, even if they did, I'm happy for them." She says and I take a breath.
"But of we did have kids-."
"Nooooo." I say quietly and place my face in Marcy's neck as she laughed.
"Oh, come on, they'd be jumping for joy that they are grandparents." She says.
"Yea and your mom would probably be pinching their cheeks." Marcy says.
"You think there could be something out there to get us home?" I asked.
"If Lilly Planter found a way, we can too." Anne says and I look to her.
"She didn't have any powers?" I asked.
"No, so there has to be a way." Anne says and I think a bit.
"I mean… I love it here, I want to go home to see my dad but… I don't want to not ever come back here." I say to them.
"We love it here too, but it would be nice to go home and back." Marcy says and I closed my eyes for a bit.
"We will find a way, when have we ever given up?" Anne says and I nod.
"That's true." I mutter and clear my throat.
"I still want to stay here though." I tell them.
"We get it… besides it's not like we won't come back here, think of it as a trip, we go and spend time with our family and then come right back." Marcy says and I nod at this. We finally fell asleep and before we knew it we were woken up by a bunch of little tadpoles jumping on our bed.
"AMBUSH!" We hear and I open my yes quickly and grabbed them as did Anne and Marcy.
"Hey what's up?" Anne asked tiredly and I get up and look to all of them and Marcy still had her eyes closed as she sat up and held one of the little ones.
"Breakfast at HopPops." The little ones say and I chuckled.
"Alright, Alright, let us get ready." Marcy yawns and they all head out the room and I grab my clothes to get ready. It wasn't much just a light fitted shirt and pants. I look to see my old armor and I rubbed my neck a bit and shook my head a bit. We head out to where the little one's were and we head over to the Planters house where Grime and HopPop were helping each other with breakfast and I see Polly working on something.
"Whatcha working on?" I asked as I take a seat with her.
"Oh, just a little tinkering from some old notes I found in our families secret room, it's just to get my mind off some things." She says and I look at her.
"You doing, ok?" I asked.
"Yea just… Sprigs kids keep bothering me." She says and I chuckled.
"Well that's because they love you… though you should talk to them about it you know." I say and she looks at me.
"Yea, I know I just… don't want to seem mean to them." She says.
"It's not being mean to just ask for a bit of time to yourself." I say and then HopPop calls for everyone to come grab their food. I look to Polly and pat her shoulder a bit and we head over to the kitchen and get a plate each.
"Alex my boy how are you? You didn't seem so good last night?" Grime asked and I nod.
"Yea my head was just hurting, must have been out in the sun for so long." I say and he nods at this and I look to Anne and Marcy.
"So, Anne what have you got any plans today?" HopPop asked.
"Marcy, Alex and I are going to Newtopia for a week or so-."
"Oh, can we come?" The little ones asked.
"I uh… well it's just-."
"Sure, we can all go as a family wouldn't that be fun?" HopPop asked.
"Wait we-."
"We will get the fwagon and Bessie ready." He says and they all head out and I look to Anne and Marcy.
"I uh… um." I tried to say something.
"Hey I'll be fine; we will go do our thing and they will do their own thing." Anne says and I nod.
"Yea… welp, we should get ready." Marcy says and I nod as we finish eating and then head out to grab our bags. It was a few minutes later before HopPop and the others came and they let us set our luggage on the fwagon and we all started to head out. It took us a short amount of time but we get to Newtopia and Mary, Anne and I go to see Yunan and Olivia.
"Master Marcy." Olivia says.
"Just Marcy." She tells her.
"Oh nonsense after all you have done for us, it's best to keep the title." Yunan says and I look to Marcy who nods at this.
"Anyway, let's take a tour of the city, we have some new shops open up and the university is up and running too." Olivia says and we all go out to look around. After we stopped to get some lunch Yunan and Olivia looked like they wanted to ask something and I look to Marcy as she talked to Anne.
"Um… Marcy could we ask something of you?" Olivia asked and Marcy looked to them.
"Yea sure, need help with anything?" She asked.
"Well… we were wondering if you wanted to… help us by being… well not a king or queen so to speak but." Olivia tried to ask but couldn't come up with the words and I look to Marcy.
"Actually… could I stay as the Advisor? I mean not to be mean or anything I really appreciate the offer but… I like the job I have now… working with you two." She explains to the two Newts.
"Of course, we just wanted to know and all." Yunan says and Marcy nods.
"Maybe one day but I think I'd like to stay where I am…. Thank you for the offer." She says and I smiled at Marcy.
"It's fine Master Marcy, we understand." Olivia says and they talk for a bit. when we were all done, we met up with the Planters and spent some time with them. Anne then told them that she was wanting to spend more time with Marcy and I and I look to Marcy.
"So, anything you want to do tomorrow?" I asked her.
"We should go to the university, I never really got to go in there before everything happened." She says and I nod.
"Sure, we can do that to winddown you know?" I asked and she nods.
"It would be relaxing to sit back and read, plus I need to see if there is anything about new places-."
"I don't think that they would, I mean those old stuffy guys were just… they laughed at me when I first told them that there could be new areas." I tell her.
"Oh, those nerds don't travel so how would they know? But I did hear there was a secret part of the library on the upper floor of the university, it's mostly for students who want to do silent studies." She says and I smirk.
"Or get extra kissing lessons?" I asked and she laughed as she shoved me a bit and I smiled.
"Nah nerds like that wouldn't." She says and I look at her as if she was serous.
"Marcy, you're the biggest nerd I know and you love getting kisses from Anne or me, nerds make-out too." I say and she turns red and I smiled a bit and pat her back. Anne then comes over to us and we go and get our things ready for a small date tonight.
"I think we should head over to Gertie's she's got some nachos that's to die for." Anne says as she fixes up my bowtie a bit.
"Sounds great, Marcy wanted to go to the library afterwards so we could just winddown." I tell Anne and she pats my chest a bit.
"That sounds great." She says and I smile and we go over to Marcy and we all head out.
"Well hello Anne, want to try a new recipe?" Gertie asked her.
"Of course, dude, actually we all would like to try some." She says and I come up and hand her some coppers.
"Oh no any friend of Anne's gets one on the house." She says and I shake my head.
"No, it's fine, plus Anne said you helped her out so… I'd like to help you out." I say and she smiled and made us our food.
"What do you three have planned dressed up like that?" She asked as she handed Anne some food and started working on ours.
"Oh, we're just on a small date… this isn't to much is it?" Marcy asked.
"Oh no, not at all just wondering is all… how's the date so far?" She asked.
"It's great, nice and relaxing so far." Anne says and she eats another chip and offers one to me. I take a bite and smile as it tastes good and Gertie hands one to Marcy and then me.
"Well, I hope the date goes well for you three, and if you ever want to try out any new recipes don't hesitate." She tells us and I nod as we go and take a seat and eat our food. It tasted really good and since we each had different kinds of nachos, we would each give a bite to the other. When we finished up, we threw our garbage away and we head on threw the little park in the center of town to head to the library.
"This place is so nice at this time." Marcy says and I look to her.
"Yea, it's so pretty with the sunset too, we need to come out here during that time." Anne suggested and I nod and I make a mental note of that. We head over to the library and relaxed in the lounging area and just read whatever we wanted. It was actually really relaxing and I was thinking.
"I should make an extension in the house for a big library." I say as I was looking at a book on old weapons.
"I thought you'd make a weapons room in all honesty." Anne says and I chuckled.
"Who says I haven't?" I asked as I looked up a bit from the book to her and I feel Marcy grab my hand just a bit and I look at her to see she was still reading and I hold her hand back just a little and look back to Anne who was reading a book on the history of Amphibians and I chuckled a little.
"Wait, did you?" She asked and I flipped a page.
"I have hidden daggers around the house… and in my shoe." I say and chuckled a bit.
"Seriously?" She asked and I nod.
"Oh yea, so I don't need a weapons room." I tell her.
"Well, if we do start a family you have to lock up the weapons." Marcy says not looking up from her book.
"Come on… you guys would want kids with me?" I asked.
"Not the worst thing to happen, honestly you're not as immature as you think you are." Anne says and I look to her.
"Well I mean, we all know what not to do as parents… except Anne, we can follow her parents ways of parenting." Marcy says.
"Except for baby carrots and trail mix, I'll let our kids eat all the spicy foods they want." She says proudly and I chuckled and read a bit of my book.
"Let's hope they don't have my pallet or they can't have as much spicy food as they want." I tell her.
"Well, I think you would like some more of HopPops peppers?" She asked and I laughed.
"Damn I would not want to eat that again." I say and I hear Marcy giggle.
"I heard about those; I'd like to try one at least." She says and I laughed and kept reading. When we finished up Marcy went to check some books out and we headed back to the new castle and we went to the bedroom and I got changed into something comfortable.
"Hey Alex I was…. Woah." I hear and turn to see Marcy and I clear my throat a bit.
"Hey uh Marcy um… what did you need?" I asked as I grabbed a shirt from the closet.
"I uh… well… um." She tried to say and I chuckled as I put my shirt on.
"You good there Mar-Mar?" I asked and she nods quickly.
"Yea just… your… scar." She whispers and I go up to her.
"Hey… it's in the past and I'm good." I tell her.
"But… I caused that." She says and I think a bit.
"Well… you want to talk about it?" I asked and helped her take a seat on the bed and she puts her hand to my cheek and then to my eyepatch. She looked like she wanted to cry but I place my hand on top of hers.
"I'm still so sorry for what I did… it's my fault." She says and I shake my head a bit.
"It's not your fault Marcy, trust me… I was being a bit of a stubborn asshole when I came to my eye… and the scar on my back… well I can't see it but it will remind me that I was at least trying to help you… even if I failed to do so." I tell her.
"You didn't fail… you did help me, even if you… ended up getting hurt." She says.
"Marcy… I… look you have been through a lot, don't add what I did to a part of the struggle, what I did is what I have to deal with, not you ok?" I asked.
"But if I wasn't so-."
"Marcy listen to me please…. You didn't mean for any of this to happen, it's not your fault, none of it is your fault at all." I tell her and she looked like she wanted to cry and I pulled her to me in a hug. She cried and cried and Anne comes in and looked to me and I motion for her to come over and she placed her hand on Marcy's back and rubbed it gently.
"I'm so sorry." Marcy cried and I held her and rocked her gently and looked to Anne. It took a while but Marcy had fallen asleep and I look to Anne as I picked Marcy up gently and we took her to her room. I lay her in the bed and Anne covers Marcy up with a blanket, I look to Anne and then we head out the room and I sighed silently and laid on my bed a bit.
"She saw my scar." I mutter and look to Anne as she looked to me and sat on the bed.
"She hasn't seen it until now?" She asked and I nodded.
"I didn't want her to see it because I knew it would upset her… I just… feel bad." I tell Anne and she gently places her hand on my back.
"Why do you feel bad?" She asked.
"Cause I made Marcy feel bad." I mutter.
"I get it… maybe you should take some time and hang out with Marcy… get to talk with her about this?" Anne asked and I nod.
"Mind if we do that after tomorrow? I have something I need to do." I say to her and she nods.
"Of course, me and Marcy can go out for the day." She tells me and I nod and I chuckled.
"Alright, I'm going to head to bed, knowing Marcy we're going to be up early." She says and I nod as she pat my back but she doesn't get up so I turn on my side and look at her.
"You good there?" I asked and she nods.
"Yea just… I liked it when we all slept together." She says and I sit up more.
"That did feel nice… want to… stay with me tonight?" I asked her and she nods a little then looks to the door.
"What about Marcy?" She asked.
"Well, we know that if Marcy wakes up, she'll come in… I hope." I say as I think a little on this.
"Fair enough." She says and she gets ready for bed. she goes on the other side and I flip myself around to the side and I look at Anne.
"You're very beautiful." I say as I place my hand on her cheek and she looked to me.
"You're very handsome." She tells me and I chuckled.
"I need to shave a bit." I tell her and she shakes her head.
"No, I like it, I think Marcy likes it too." She says and I smiled a bit.
"Do you really want a family with me?" I asked.
"Of course, you'd be a great dad… you do feel comfortable… talking about this?" She asked and I nod.
"Yea, it's… going to be a big step in our lives… I just…" I sighed and looked to her more.
"I don't want to be a bad parent is all… I feel like, I might be like my mom or my dad…. That I won't have time for the kids." I explain.
"You are nothing like your mother, and I know you never will be like her, you would never belittle our kids like she did you, you'll have time with the kids too, I know you'd make time for them… you do with Sprigs kids." She says and I look at her a bit then down.
"Alex… hey look at me." She says and I do look at her.
"You're a great man, you're a great uncle, you make sure to have enough time with Marcy and I, you make sure everyone is happy and even when you're so tired you still go play with the kids in town… trust me… when we do have time and we feel like we are ready, we can start a family… only when we feel comfortable." She explained and I nod at this.
"I get it… alright I'll stop stressing over this." I chuckled and she giggles a bit and I kissed her cheek. We end up falling asleep and I feel some movement in the bed and my arm was moved a bit so I moved my arm a bit and held both Marcy and Anne close to me. We slept through the night and I feel some movement in the bed and I wake up a little and I see Anne and Marcy getting up.
"Hey Alex, you can go back to sleep." Anne whispers and I roll onto my back and groan a little as they both kissed my cheek.
"Hmmm, thanks." I whispered and I fell right back to sleep. I know I woke up a little late and I shot up from the bed and looked around and I rubbed my face to get the sweat off of me. I take a breath and get out of bed and get changed for the day. I rush out the room and before I could leave I was stopped.
"Oh, Alex can we speak?" I hear Olivia ask and I look to her then to the door and I nod.
"Yea, sure." I say as I go up to her.
"Was Master Marcy ok last night?" She asked.
"Yea just… emotional stuff happened and she felt bad." I tell her.
"Emotional stuff?" She asked.
"Um… Yea she uh… She saw the scar on my back and just… She started to feel bad and I tried to help her but I don't think I did a good job." I tell her honestly.
"Ah yes, she has been talking to Yunan and I about that… day." She says and I nod a bit at this.
"We will… Talk about it together." I say and rubbed the back of my neck. It was like I was talking to her mom, which was true Lady Olivia was like a mom to Marcy and it was a bit scary.
"Oh alright, well-."
"Actually, I have something to ask you." I interrupted her.
"Oh, yes what can I help you with?" She asked.
"Well… I wanted to ask Marcy and Anne to… well to Marry me and I was hoping you could tell me where I could get a ring for Marcy… while we're here?" I asked and she looked to me a bit in shock.
"Oh my… oh of course yes there is a great jeweler by the plaza, they should still be open." She tells me and I nod and head out.
"Oh wait." She says and I stopped and I look to her.
"Here use this." She says and hands me a card and I look at it.
"I um-."
"Don't worry about it, think of it as payment for saving our world." She says and I look to the card then to her.
"Thanks, I um… I'll pay it back-."
"Did you not hear me you dolt?" She says and hits my arm and I chuckled.
"I did it's just-."
"It's fine, if you make Marcy happy then I'm happy for her." She tells me and I nod. I hurry out the castle and head into the Plaza and I look around the shop a bit. I looked to a few good rings but none of them screamed Marcy and Anne, it looked a bit too fancy in all honesty. I ended up giving up on finding a ring for either of them and I sighed and left the shop. I kept thinking and thinking until I see HopPop and the others so I go up to them.
"Hey HopPop." I say as I run up to them.
"Oh, hey Alex, everything alright?" He asked and I take a breath and looked to him.
"What do Planters do when they want to propose?" I asked him.
"Propose?" He asked and I nod quickly.
"I want to ask Anne and Marcy to marry me, but none of the rings in the store felt right for them and I want to know what do you guys do to ask someone to marry you?" I asked him quickly.
"Woah slow down, Alex." He says and I nod as I take a few breaths.
"I forgot you weren't there when Sprig asked Ivy to marry him." He chuckled and I look to him and nod a bit.
"Well we make our own rings for one thing it's a Planter tradition, as for Marcy I don't know what her family would think of for tradition." He explained and I nod.
"Make the rings… I didn't think about it… ok, alright I can do that." I say and look to HopPop.
"Thanks." I tell him.
"Anytime, just make sure it ain't too flashy, Anne doesn't care about what the ring is just so long she can wear it, is fine." He says and I nod at this.
"Got it, thanks again dude." I say and run off to the castle. I hand the card back to Olivia and I get to my room and start working on designing both Anne and Marcy's rings. I hear a knock on the door and see Olivia and get up from my chair.
"Hey sorry for um I didn't use the card I uh… I'm… look." I say and show her the partial designs I had.
"Oh my, you're great at drawing." She says.
"Had time to learn… do you think they'll like them?" I asked her.
"Well Master Marcy would love her ring and Anne's ring also looks beautiful as well." She says and I smiled at this.
"What looks beautiful?" We hear and I screamed a bit and shut the book.
"NOTHING!" We both yelled and I see Anne and Marcy.
"Are you two, ok?" Marcy asked.
"Yes, very much so…. I'm going to have some…. Juice." Olivia says and walks away.
"We know it's alcohol but have fun." Marcy says and they both look at me.
"Hey so I have… a simple request." I say.
"Oh?" Anne asked and I think.
"Um… I would like to take you and Marcy out on another date tomorrow but I'm not to sure what we could do." I suggest and they look at me.
"So you want us to help you plan a date?" Marcy asked and I nodded.
"I really like the library idea, we could always go after our date." Anne says.
"Hah, nerd." I say quietly.
"You're a nerd too, and Marcy is one by default." Anne says and I chuckled.
"Fair, but um… I'll have a big date planned out for all of us I just… don't have any ideas yet." I tell them.
"Hey it's ok Alex, yea we can help plan the dates until your big one is ready." Marcy says and I nod at this.
"Well, we could go to the Shopping cart derby." Anne suggests and I look to her.
"Shopping cart derby?" I asked and she nod.
"Alright, Shopping Cart Derby, then… Gerties?" I suggested.
"Heck yea, and then finally the library." Marcy says and I nod at this.
"Alright, then we have a date planned." I say and the other two head on out and I get ready for bed. I decided to keep my shirt off this time, it was getting a little hot at night and I take a breath and think as I do some pushups before bed.
"Hey- Woah, getting some pushups done?" I hear and look to the side to see Anne and I nod and continue.
"Got to keep up my strength up for you two, don't want to lose this muscle." I think.
"Mind sitting on my back?" I asked and she laughed a bit.
"Really?" Anne asked and I nod.
"Alright, if I break your back don't blame me." She says as she gets set up on my back and I do more pushups.
"Don't worry, Marcy says the newts have free healthcare." I joke and continue with my pushups.
"Well, I must say I am impressed." She tells me and I laughed.
"Well I won't be able to do this for long might as well do it while I can." I say and after a few minutes I finished and I lay on the floor so Anne could get off and I groan a bit.
"Alex, ok?" I hear and look to Marcy.
"Just did some pushups… sorry Mar-Mar you missed out." I say and place my face into the floor and relaxed a bit.
"Dang it." I hear her mutter and we all laughed. I get up from the floor and see Marcy and Anne in my bed and I smiled as I go to my side and lay down with them.
"Can you lay in the center this time?" Marcy asked and I look to them and then to Anne and she nods so I moved to the middle of the bed and relax a bit and Marcy lays her head on my chest and I look down at her.
"You ok Marcy?" Anne asked and she nods a little.
"I don't know why but… just hearing yours or Alex's heartbeat… makes me… comfortable." She says and I nod.
"Same." Both Anne and I say and we all just relax a bit and finally end up falling asleep.
