Chapter 58: Klug & Feli: Noisy Spirit by kirbymanx/huskynator
It was a regular Tuesday morning at Primp High School. Nothing out of the ordinary. School faculty and students alike did what they usually did before the bell rang.
As usual for Klug and Feli, they meet up in the west of the school. Where the sun doesn't bother them.
Klug was right on time as he usually was. Feli took her time.
"So what's on the schedule for today, four-eyes?" The short junior student told her fellow junior student very dryly.
Klug pulled out his phone. "No spirit medium jobs, no dowsing, no curses, just two future forecastings. One from that cheerleader Ess, the other from Rafisol." He listed off.
"Woah, stop there, don't overwhelm me. The answer to them is probably no." Feli faked real fake enthusiasm. "I see… I see a chance we get two more clients this afternoon." She sat down and telekinetically pulled her crystal ball out of its case. She channeled its spiritual energy to have a clearer view of the future by rubbing the aura around the orb with her own spiritual powers.
Klug looked at the ball for any possible future events displayed within it. He needed the cash more than Feli did, she mostly did it for pract-
"Gah!" Feli yelped, making Klug yelp in turn. "That spirit is back! Quick! Spell."
"R-Right!" Klug opened his spell book via a sticky bookmark. "There! Spiritual Suppression Spell! Repeat:
ƧɈiɿiqƨ γbwoɿ ʞɿɒʜ,"
"ƧɈiɿiqƨ γbwoɿ ʞɿɒʜ," Feli got into her creepy spellcasting mode. Complete with her eyes getting devoid of features.
"YɈʜϱυɒn γɿǝv nǝǝd ǝvɒʜ υoγ,"
"YɈʜϱυɒn γɿǝv nǝǝd ǝvɒʜ υoγ,"
"Ǝliʜw ɒ ɿoʇ ɈƨǝЯ won."
"Ǝliʜw ɒ ɿoʇ ɈƨǝЯ won! There!" Feli felt the spiritual energy around her thinning. Klug looked happy he helped. Feli too was confident it will help.
"Huhnnnghngngnh!" Feli's body spasmed as the spirit in her crystal ball bonked against the glass!
"It didn't work?" Klug freaked out.
"Shut… up." Feli recovered from the spasm. "That was a way less violent reaction than I foresaw." She saw herself reacting way worse. Feli looked around if the coast was clear. And tugged Klug's face down on her level. "Don't tell anyone, but I have some concerns about my ball… I've had some visions…" She whispered.
Klug looked concerned. "Is that spirit gonna break through and forcefully possess you?"
"I should hope not, I'm strong enough to repel it." She hoped. "But no, they'll possess you."
"YIKES!"
"Shush, not so loud." Feli checked if anyone heard that. "We need to find a way to lure it away somehow or else we'll pay the price…" Feli tried thinking of a way. It's not like they could influence the spirit from inside the ball.
Klug pondered as well. "I have an idea!"
"Sshh! They can hear you!" Feli referred to the spirit and their fellow students.
"Not like it'll matter." Klug stated arrogantly. He whispered in her ear.
"Hey, red spirit!" Feli knocked on the glass, getting the attention of this problem. "I sense an open spirit capital in Empire City overseas." She pointed in a direction.
The spirit goes wide-eyed and darted for the continent over, and the further they got. The less Feli felt his presence. The divining duo sighed a breath of relief.
The school bell rang.
"I owe you a pizza." Klug was satisfied with that. If anything he owed her a pizza, but he's not complaining.
…
…
…
That was one strong spirit…
