Chapter 3
As Lex and Angela packed up the remains of their picnic Angela turned sharply having heard a faint help coming from the cornfield.
"Lex someone is out there they need help,"
"Let me grab the flashlight," Lex replied digging through his trunk and revealing a flashlight.
Taking Angela's hand they headed into the cornfield towards the voice. Gasping in shock as they came upon the screcrow post Angela ran ahead and began untieing her brother.
"Oh Clark what happened?,"
"Whitney, get necklace off," Angela nodded as Lex released his arms and he collapsed to the ground. Leaning down Angela went to yank the necklace off but turned nauseous just at the sight of it.
Lex noticed and leaned down for her and yanked the necklace off Clark's neck and shoved it in his pocket. The moment he did Clark and Angela regained their strength.
"Thank you Lex," Clark said as he stood to his feet and brushed himself off.
"Clark where are you going,"
"I got to get to the school they are in trouble,"
"What why?,"
"Jermey Creek, coma kid from the past awoken and attacking the football players and the student's he went to school with," nodding Angela went to go with him but Clark stopped her with a hand on her shoulder.
"Stay, you were happy with Lex today I can handle this problem let him take you home like a nomal date, have the night you deserve sis," nodding Angela hugged Clark and he took off through the cornfield.
"Shall we head back to the car Angel," blushing at the nickname Lex had dubbed her with she smiled and took his offered hand and they made their way back to the car.
Clark was right she did deserve this night Angela thought as she sat beside Lex in the porshe on her way home. Their hands enclasped Angela smiled hoping this romance was going to last.
Pulling up to the farm Lex stopped the car halfway from the house.
"I would go further but we both know your parents won't be pleased to see me,"
"I know Lex, thank you for this evening it was remarkable,"
"Your welcome Angel we will do this again I promise," Lex smiled as he pulled Angela close and placed a sweet soft goodnight kiss upon her lips.
"Goodnight my Angel til we see each other again may tonight forever make you smile," Angela leaned in kissing Lex once more before opening the door and stepping out of the porshe, grabbing her school bag, then reclosing the door.
Heading down the road to the house a bit she turned and waved goodnight to Lex who was sweet to her waiting to make sure she made it in her home before he drove off.
Soon as she stepped up onto the porch of the farm house she smiled and sighed happily as the light of the porshe left the farm and headed inside to face whatever was await for her.
In The House
"Where have you been young lady?,"
"Went out with a friend since I didn't feel like going to the dance tonight, Clark went to the dance though he probably had a more eventful night then me,"
"Then explain Luthor's car in our driveway?,"
"Didn't know there was a crime to drive someone home dad," Angela snapped out as she made her way upstairs to her room.
Soon as she was in her room she dropped the farce and had the biggest smile on her face as she dropped her bag by her desk and laid on her bed thinking of Lex.
Hearing a knock at the door she could tell it was her mother.
"Come in mom,"
"So what really happened?," smiling she motioned for her mother to close the door. After making sure her father couldn't hear them she began telling her mother everything.
"So your first kiss was it everything you expected sweetie,"
"Oh yes mom it was breath taking. Oh mom he has real feelings for me despite everything dad says Lex has fallen for me as I have him,"
"Then continue it, I will help cover for you this I can help with but if you and Clark get in trouble I refuse to help,"
"Thank you mom," Angela replied as she jumped off her bed and hugged her mother tight.
Downstairs In The Living Room
"And where have you been Clark?," Jonathon asked as his son came hurtling through the front door.
"School dance, though had to save everyone you see a student from twelve years ago who was in a coma since the meteor shower but hadn't aged a day since he has something called a electrolyte imbalance. He was hunting down the jocks from his past and attacking the jocks from this year as well. I fought him and when he tryed hitting me with a car he hit a water main and the car filled with water he lost his electrolytes and lost his powers and with no memory of anything we sent him home," Clark explained as he grabbed a glass and poured some of the lemoade from the fridge.
"At least you helped him, and no one was hurt,"
"Nope well I was strung up in a cornfield by Whiney and his pals but I got my revenge,"
"Clark Kent what did you do?,"
"Let's just say he will have a hard time driving home tonight," Clark laughed as he headed upstairs.
The night had ended well but who knew what to expect to come as obstacles in both Angela and Clark's paths but one thing was for sure things were changing for the good.
