Maria was in her room thinking. She looked at her window and sees Sookie and Bill arguing. She walked out of her room, run downstairs and goes to the door while she opened it.
"What the hell is going on?" Maria asked both Bill and her sister
"Talking about your sister being mine." Bill said
"And he was just leaving." Sookie said
"You will never find a human man you can be yourself with." Bill said
"That was low." Maria said
"Just go, please." Sookie said
Maria and her sister goes into the house and closes the door.
"What was that about?" Maria asked her sister
"3 vampires was there. They were about to feed on me." Sookie said
"And?" Maria said
"He told them I was his. Meaning he can feed on me." Sookie said
(Flashback)
One year ago
In the alley
Man and woman walked behind Maria. She stopped and turns around.
"Can I help you two?" Maria asked both of them
"We never sucked blood out of a cat before." Woman said
"We'll be the first ones to get the first taste." Man said
Eric appeared.
"Actually you won't. I'm the first one who tasted her blood." Eric said
"She's yours. Sorry we didn't know." Woman said
Both man and woman disappeared in their vampspeed.
"You haven't fed on me and why did you say that?" Maria asked Eric
"Would I let them feed on you?" Eric asked Maria
"I guess not." Maria said
(Back to reality.)
"Anyway it's been a strange night. I'll be going to bed." Sookie said
"Yeah me too." Maria said
Tuesday
Maria lawn mowing and Sookie cleans the porch. Gran came out with lemonade.
"Have some lemonade. Fresh-squeezed." Gran said
"Thanks, Gran." Sookie said
"Thanks, Gran." Maria said
Maria and her sister take a sip out of their cups.
"Goodness, what has gotten into you two?" Gran asked both of granddaughters
"Get our mind off a few times things." Maria said
"What's wrong Maria?" Gran asked her granddaughter
"The man I like was sleeping with someone else. I'm over it." Maria said
"And I'm keeping busy." Sookie said
"Sookie? Are you concerned about the vampire? Has he done something untoward?" Gran asked her granddaughter Sookie
"No! No! Not at all. Well, I'm just thinking...What I'm thinking is...is stay away, but...what I'm feeling...what I'm feeling...with my whole body is...somethin' else entirely and I don't know whether to trust my...my head or..." Sookie said
Gran nodding wisely.
"Heart." Gran said
"Yes." Sookie said
"Well, that is a dilemma. Why don't you girls come on inside, and let me make you two something to eat? If you two gonna be out workin' like a horse, you two need to get somethin' in your stomachs." Gran said
Maria and her sister looks at their grandmother and then follows her into the house.
Gran is cooking breakfast while Maria and her sister sits at the table.
"I heard Marthaville's gettin' a Starbucks." Maria said
"I cannot for the life of me see why anybody would spend $3 on a cup of coffee with too much milk." Gran said
"Arlene told me, that people are less calcium-deficient than they used to be because of all the fancy coffee they drink nowadays." Sookie said
"You know, I never thought of that, but it does make sense." Gran said
Gran sets her plate down on the table and then sits down to join Maria and her sister for breakfast.
"Hey, Gran. Do you think I should continue seeing Bill?" Sookie asked her grandmother
"Sookie, I can't tell you that. I can tell you that I think he is a smart, handsome and very polite young man, but of course he's gonna show his best side to me so that I won't stand in the way of his courtin' you." Gran said
"He scares me." Sookie said
"Well, it is scary...opening your heart up to somebody." Gran said
"I wish I can believe that. My heart was taken away from my best friend." Maria said
"Dawn slept with your mystery guy?" Sookie asked her sister
"It doesn't matter." Maria said
Maria was in her room getting ready for work. She heard her phone vibrating.
"Hey, Sam." Maria said
"Maria could you check on Dawn?" Sam asked Maria
"Can you get someone else?" Maria asked Sam
"She was late for work. Please go check on her." Sam said
Maria was about to get frustrated.
"Fine." Maria said
Sookie and her sister drives over to Dawn's house and starts knocking on the door.
"Dawn?...It's me, Sookie and Maria. Honey, you overslept." Sookie said
Maria opens the screen door. Not getting any answer, Maria tries the door handle and the door opens. They enter.
"Dawn! Are you here?" Maria asked
They walked through to the bedroom. The alarm is going off and it appears there has been a struggle. Dawn is laying on the bed, eyes open. They realizes that Dawn's dead. Both Maria and Sookie screams.
