Chapter 5

Lex headed down to the stables as his first stop of business. Lana had just finished up riding as she noticed Lex in the stables.

"Hi Ms Lang I'm Lex Luthor,"

"I know we already met, when I was ten I was in Metropolis for a riding competition. Your father invited me and my aunt to stay with you both and to use the indoor pool. Though it was akward when I walked in on you and another girl skinny dipping,"

"Oh well that was then now these days I'm currently dating Angela Kent,"

"Clark's sister wow who would have guessed," Lana replied surprised at the news.

Lex smiled as he looked at the glass case fully of awards and pictures and noticed a image of Lana wearing her green neckalce.

"Interesting necklace do you still have it?,"

"No I gave it to my boyfriend Whitney,"

"You should ask him where it is according to Clark who saw him earlier was asked by Whitney if he had seen it cause he didn't have it,"

"Perhaps I will," Lana replied surprised at how that topic came up became between Clark and Whitney.

After heading home after his conversation with Lana in the stables Lex proceeded with his business meeting. He couldn't help but be happy when it was finally over two hours later. Grabbing the lead box he had stored the necklace in Lex headed out to go back over to rejoin Angela and Clark.

Arriving a hour later Lex parked in his usual spot and walked the short way up to the barn and headed into the loft. He smiled as he saw Angela poured over her textbooks doing her homework and Clark trying to understand his.

"Looks like tiring work,"

"Welcome back love," Angela smiled as Lex leaned down and kissed his angel.

"Here Clark," Lex said pulling Clark out of his book as he was handed the lead box.

Clark opened the box just slightly before having to close it quickly seeing it was Lana's necklace that made him sick.

"Thanks Lex,"

"Your welcome Clark, woo Lana with it that will make a impression on her," Lex slyly hinted as he sat beside Angela who sat up with her homework in her lap.

"I'll be back," Clark replied heading out.

Downstairs In The Barn

As Clark sits downstairs in the barn he begins testing himself with the rock opening and closing the box. It was then when he sees Lana walking towards the barn.

"Hey Lana," Clark said cheerfully after hiding the box skipping the oppournity to give back the necklace.

"Hey Clark I heard what Whitney did and I wanted to apologize for him and make sure you were ok,"

"I'm doing great Lana and it's ok no harm no foul," smiling Lana nods before letting Clark know she had to go and Clark watched sadly as she walked away.

A hour later Angela and Lex made their way downstairs hand in hand. Smiling and laughing they notice Clark.

"So bro did you give Lana back the necklace,"

"Not yet wasn't the right time,"

"Well be sure to do it bro you deserve happiness too,"

"I know sis where are you two headed?,"

"Out to dinner nothing fancy but another date," Angela smiled as she wrapped her arm around Lex's waist as they stood talking to Clark.

"Ok then sis take care of each other and see you when you get home,"

"No one is going anywhere," came the creepy voice from the barn door.

"Greg?," Angela said as she recogonized him as the speaker came into the light.

"In the flesh so to speak," he evily cackled as he got closer.

"Why are you here?,"

"Revenge," as Greg said that he lashed out attacking them throwing Lex into the wall knocking him unconscious as Angela rushed to him.

It was then just Greg and Clark fighting wildly the upper hand changing constantly Angela noticed as she stuck by Lex hoping he woke up soon.

It was then Angela noticed that Greg was under the machine they had suspended in air working on it was.

"Move Clark," Angela yelled out as she hit the button to release the machine.

Watching in stunned silence Angela and Clark gave a sullen silence as they stared at the now crushed body of Greg.

Going back to Lex Angela heard the whoosh as Clark super speeded out of the barn where to she had no idea. Sitting down she pulled Lex so his head rested in her lap.

"Angela?,"

"Here mom,"

"What happened?!," Jonathon came running in after Martha.

"Greg came in something was meteor wrong with him and he attacked us Clark fought him but Lex protected me before Greg knocked him out I stayed with Lex and Clark crushed Greg with the macheine,"

"What's that Luth..,"

"Lex is here cause he and I are dating dad, he isn't like his father if he was he wouldn't had become friends with Clark and wouldn't had bought me a promise ring and tryed to protect me," Martha could see her husband was about to say something and laid her hand on his arm to avoid it.

"Sweetie take Lex upstairs to the loft," Martha suggested so that in case he woke up he wouldn't see them removing the body.

Angela nodded and carefully picked up Lex's body and headed up to the loft. Sitting back on the couch where she had sat earlier she had Lex laid down with his head in her lap yet again. She stroked her fingers over his head hoping he woke soon.

About twenty minutes later Lex's eyes finally fluttered opened.

"Ugh my head,"

"Careful Lex you're hurt,"

"What happened babe,"

"Greg knocked you across the barn and you hit your head i been at your side ever since,"

"Are you ok Angela?,"

"Yes love I'm ok," Angela replied giving a small smile to Lex.

Smiling Lex kissed her softly as he sat up. Angela wrapped her arms around him and was just happy he finally woke up and was not badly injured.

"My dad knows about us,"

"Damnit how bad?,"

"He took it as good as expected no worries he didn't ban you from the farm or demand we stop dating my mom stopped him,"

"Oh ok good thankfully," Lex replied as he yawned sleepily.

Sitting closer Angela kissed Lex's forehead and arose from the couch. Holding out her hand Lex grasped her hand and stood with her. Smiling Angela led him down the loft stairs and out of the barn towards the house.

Making it in the house Angela noticed that the pillow and blankets were on the couch but shaking her head she pulled Lex with her upstairs. Once in her room she had Lex sit on the bed as she grabbed her night clothes and slipped back out of the room and went and changed in the washroom.

When she returned to her room Lex was just shrugging out of his jacket slowly and she knew he was hurting after what happened. Walking over Angela tossed her dirty clothes in her basket and moved closer to Lex surprising him as she starts to help him.

After getting his jacket off, and his shoes Angela and Lex lay down on the bed together she with her head on his chest and together they fall into a peaceful sleep for the night.
