Four charred coffins are beside one another outside of the house burned by Royce, Wayne, and Chuck. One of the coffins is partly opened. Various emergency personnel perform their duties as Sookie and her sister looked at the scene from a short distance. Approached by Sheriff Bud Dearborn.
"Sookie, are you okay? You want some water?" Sheriff Bud Dearborne asked Sookie
"Four? (Sookie turns to face Detective Andy Bellefleur.) You're sure you found four bodies?" Sookie asked them
"We shouldn't even be tellin' ya this." Andy said
"Andy, not now! Not with me." Sookie said
Andy sighs.
"There's four sets of remains inside four coffins." Andy said
"Oh, my God!" Maria said
Sookie starts toward the house, but is pulled away by Andy.
"We can't let you go in there!" Andy said
"Andy, if you don't take your hands off me right now, I swear to God, I will kill you!" Sookie said
Sookie breaks free of Andy's grip, and runs up the small hill toward the house, but is met by an unidentified young man. There is another man present.
"No, no, sweetheart, you don't wanna come up here...(Man looks at the contents of one of the burned coffins. There are no bones, only a slurry of slightly bubbling blood.) Jiminy Christmas. That's what happens to vampires?" Man 1 said
"Evidently. Plus, we got three more. (Sookie looks down at the blood soup with a worried look on her face. Maria was worried about her sister.) I hope you skipped breakfast." Man 2 said
Man 1 chuckles.
"Sookie, did Bud send you up here to make an ID?" Man 1 said
Sookie lets out a small gasp, turns around, and runs away, passing Andy and Bud. Maria ran after her.
"Sookie, you okay?" Andy asked Sookie
Stackhouse Residence.
Maria and her sister walks into their house from the back door.
"It's gonna be ok." Maria said
"No, it won't. Don't you see nothing good is happening. At least you have a lover who's still living and undead." Sookie said
Sookie and her sister started arguing.
"What the hell does that supposed to mean?" Maria asked her sister
"You've kept this big secret for 3 years. For the whole year you never told us about Eric." Sookie said
"May I remind you that I'm not the only freak in this family who's dating a vampire. You think I'm the only one who kept a secret in this town? There could be more secrets." Maria said
"What do you mean?" Sookie asked her sister
"Forget it." Maria said
Outside of Merlotte's.
Maria sees Sam.
"I need to tell you something." Maria said
"What is it? I don't have..." Sam said as Maria cuts him off
"I've slept with a vampire too." Maria said
Sam sighs.
"Goddamn it, Maria. You know what the circumstances are?" Sam asked Maria
"Yes and I don't care. Sookie hurt my feelings today and this is why I drew the line. What's worst is that you also didn't tell her the truth of what you are." Maria said
"I will." Sam said
"Do it soon. Cause I'm tired of this. I'm gonna go out for a run." Maria said
Maria staring at Sam. He was confused but then he figured it out.
"Right. Weretiger." Sam said
Sam turned around while Maria takes her clothes off. She puts her clothes in the backpack, transform into a weretiger, takes her backpack and ran off.
Shreveport
Fantasia.
"Hey Maria." Ginger said
"Hey Ginger." Maria said
"Eric isn't up yet." Ginger said
"I know. I wanted to talk with him. Me and my sister had a fight." Maria said
"Why don't you talk to me about it?" Ginger asked Rose
"Ok. We were fighting about keeping a secret from each other. Yesterday I told her my secret. About a year ago when Eric saved my life from people who torture me. (Ginger gives Maria a big bottle of vodka.) It's daytime." Maria said
"Well you're upset. Sometimes people drink in the daytime." Ginger said
"Good call." Maria said
Few hours
Maria is asleep on the counter.
"Guess she had to much." Pam said
"She was upset." Ginger said
"How many did she drink?" Eric asked Ginger
"She drink the whole bottle of vodka and had a few shots of tequila. Dancing on the table then she fell asleep." Ginger said
"Bad day for her." Pam said
"She was upset with her sister." Ginger said
"I'll take her home." Eric said
Eric picked Maria up.
"Why can't she just take a cab?" Pam asked Eric
"I promise myself that I would look out for her." Eric said
"But she's a..." Pam said as Eric cuts her off
Eric fangs appeared as he was angry.
"Do not question my authority." Eric said
Stackhouse Residence.
In Rose's room.
Eric put Maria on her bed. He took her shoes off and put the blanket on her. He kissed her on her head and disappeared in his vamp speed.
Monday.
Maria is in the kitchen making coffee. Sookie walked in.
"Hey. (Maria took a sip of her coffee. She's ignoring her sister.) You're mad." Sookie said
Maria stopped drinking her coffee.
"What do you think?" Maria asked her sister
"Bill is alive." Sookie said
"Goodie." Maria said
"Would you just listen to me! I'm trying to say..." Sookie tried to apologize as her sister cuts her off
"Say what? You're sorry? You can't take back what you said. You're a telepath and I'm a weretiger. Which by the way I wanted to tell you 3 years ago. You were being a jerk." Maria said
"I yelled at Tara too." Sookie said
"I'm not the only one you need to apologize too." Maria said
Merlotte's.
Maria serving tables for everyone. Jason comes in with a girl who looked like mother nature. Maria stopped. Jason and the girl approached to her.
"Maria?" Jason said
"I don't need another sibling to pick a fight with." Maria said
"What happened with you and Sookie?" Jason asked his sister
Maria changed the subject.
"Who're you?" Maria asked the girl
"I'm Amy." Amy said
"You two are..." Maria said as her brother cuts her off
"We're working on it." Jason said
"Uh huh. Excuse me." Maria said
Maria ignored them now and she get back to work. Her sister approached to her.
"Can we just talk?" Sookie asked her sister
"No." Maria said
Night time.
Maria waiting for Sam at his trailer. He approaches to her.
"You ok?" Sam asked Maria
"I don't feel like going home. Bill's probably going to be there." Maria said
"What about your boyfriend?" Sam asked Maria
"He's working." Maria said
"Oh." Sam said
"I stayed because I was hoping you wanna run with me. Shifter to shifter." Maria said
In the forest.
They ran and then they stopped. Sam turned around and Maria transformed back into her human form. She took her clothes out of her backpack and put them on. She turned around and Sam transformed back into his human form. He took his clothes out of Maria's backpack and put them on.
"This was a great idea." Sam said
"Well you never ran with a weretiger before." Maria said
"With other weres or shifters." Sam said
"Good point." Maria said
"Why did you decided to date a vampire?" Sam asked Maria
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Maria said
"Try me." Sam said
"A year ago. The tiger tribe left me for dead. A vampire named Eric. He saved me from dying. Getting to know each other. I sorta fell for him." Maria said
"He saved your life?" Sam asked Maria
"Yep. Pretty much." Maria said
"Never knew..." Sam said as Maria cuts him off
"It's ok. Not all vampires are bad. Just like shifters and humans are not all good." Maria said
"Like 2 days ago?" Sam asked Maria
"I never knew that bitch and those two bastards. They got what they deserved. Bill wasn't in there with the rest of them." Maria said
"I know." Sam said
"23 years old. Already making it." Maria said
Both Sam and Maria laughed.

"Absolutely not. Sookie won't go for that." Maria said
"Told you she won't go for it." Pam said
"Hear me out. We need her to read minds of every person who ever worked for me. Someone been stealing money from me." Eric said
"And you want to find out who it is?" Maria asked Eric
"Yes." Eric said
Maria gets out her cell phone and called her sister.
"Maria?" Sookie said
"Fantasia needs your help." Maria said
1 hour.
Eric sits at a chair. Sookie sits at a cocktail table as her sister stands beside her. Pam leans against the bar, her arms folded. Eric stands up and walks into view.
"Pam, Longshadow and I are partners in this club. (Bill is leaning against the bar on the opposite side of the well from Pam.) And we recently noticed that sixty-thousand dollars has gone missing from our books. And Bruce...(Bruce, Bespectacled older male. He looks quite scared.)...is our accountant. Perhaps you can start by listening to him." Bruce said
Bruce is sitting at the same cocktail table with Sookie.
"He's not saying anything." Sookie said
"Don't be coy. It's humbling enough to turn to a human for assistance. We know what you can do." Eric said
"And I know what you can do too. Why don't you just glamour him?" Sookie asked Eric
"Now, don't you think we might have tried everything before Maria called you?" Eric asked Sookie
Sookie looked at her sister then looked at Eric.
"If I find out who did it, then what?" Sookie asked Eric
"We'll turn that person over to police and let the authorities handle it from there." Longshadow said
"You're lying Longshadow. We find who's responsible and turn the person over." Maria said
"Sounds fair." Eric said
Sookie grabs Bruce's hand and listens to his thoughts. Bruce thinking. Sookie stops listening to Bruce's thoughts.
"Bruce, it's okay. Take a deep breath. Did you steal their money?" Sookie asked Bruce
"No, no. You gotta believe me. I didn't do it. I swear to..." Bruce said as Sookie cuts him off
"Shhhh. Do you know who did?" Sookie asked Bruce
"No." Bruce said
Sookie continue to read Bruce's thoughts. She looks up to Eric.
"He's tellin' the truth." Sookie said
"You trust the skinny human to clear the fat one?" Longshadow asked Eric
"Bring the next one in." Eric said
A look of relief falls over Bruce's face, and he cries.
Pam leads Ginger holding a lit cigarette to Sookie.
"This is the last of our humans." Pam said
Pam seats Ginger and also puts out her cigarette.
"Ginger. This woman has some questions for you. Now, be a good girl and answer them, will you?" Eric asked Ginger
"Aye, aye, master." Eric said
"Yuck." Maria said
Maria was disgusted. Sookie reaches out for Ginger's hand, and Ginger takes her hand away.
"Don't you touch me." Ginger said
"Hold her still." Eric said
Pam walks up behind Ginger and places her hands on Ginger's shoulders. Sookie takes Ginger's left hand into her right.
"Ginger, someone's been stealin' money from the bar." Sookie said
"Really? Huh." Ginger said
Sookie reads Ginger's thoughts. Ginger thinking. She stopped reading her mind. Sookie looks up toward Eric and Pam.
"She didn't do it...but she knows who did." Sookie said
"What? Fuck you." Ginger said
Sookie continues to read Ginger's mind.
"Who? Who's gonna kill you? Ginger honey, what's his name? (Smoke rises from a burning cigarette. Ginger does not answer.) It's blank, like her memory's been erased." Sookie said
Ginger looked up toward Eric and Pam.
"I don't know anything, I swear." Ginger said
"She's been glamoured." Pam said
"It's a vampire." Sookie said
Longshadow jumps over the bar toward Sookie and exposes his fangs.
"SOOKIE!" Maria yelled
