Kates POV

I stepped into my house and looked down the hall to see if my mom and Dad were in the living room. The light was on in there so i assumed. I shut the door and left it unlocked for Lilly. I took my jacket off and hung it up before walking into the living room. How was I going to tell mom and dad what happened? As I entered the room they both turned to me.

"Hey honey, out with friends?" mom asked.

"Yeah, I was out with Humphrey, Rick and Lilly" I answered as I sat in the chair to their left.

"Where's Lilly?" mom asked.

"Humphreys bringing her home, she should be here any minute" i explained. I saw mom squint her eyes a bit before getting up and walking over to me. She cupped my face gently with her hand and rubbed where my red mark was.

"Kate? What is this?" she asked. My dad got up almost instantly and walked over to me, rubbing the same spot my mom just did.

"That looks like a mark," he said.

"What happened?" mom asked worriedly. I sighed before making eye contact.

"Today at school, Garth was I guess jealous of Rick and they started fighting. Garth tried to choke him so I tried to get him off and he…" I didn't know how to explain what happened. It just didn't seem real.

"What did he do?" mom asked through gritted teeth.

"He slapped me away, i was knocked out but Rick defended me, from what i heard his sister had to practically drag Rick off of him" i explained.

"Angel? Why would she stop him?" mom asked, turning to my dad. Dad was still standing while mom was sitting on her knees so she could be eye level with me.

"Rick carried me to the nurse, i was his first priority" i said, trying to change the subject a bit. I didn't want either of them mad at Angel. Mom rubbed my cheek again.

"Oh my poor baby" she cooed.

"Eve, i know what you're thinking and i don't want you to do it" dad said.

"How could you be so calm about this?" mom snapped, turning to him. She made me jump and took notice. At that moment Lilly entered the door. We hear her lock it and walk down the hall and into the living room.

"Hey guys i- oh" she stopped once she saw the scene. We looked at her for a moment before she spoke again. "I'm home, just thought you should know," she said. She chuckled nervously and headed upstairs. Once she was gone mom turned back to me and rubbed my cheek again.

"I'm glad Rick did what he did, but it's not enough, '' she said.

"What?" I said, sounding a bit angry.

"Don't misunderstand me, he did all he could. But I want my turn" mom said.

"Eve?" my dad called. She looked over her shoulder at him and turned back to me.

"Honey, why don't you go upstairs and relax? I need to talk to your father," she said.

"Okay" I said in almost a whisper. Mom stood up and then stepped back so that I could get out of the chair. I walked up the steps and heard mom start talking to dad. I hope they don't get too into it. When I got out of the shower their voices were raised a bit. I couldn't be asked to eavesdrop through. I was too busy feeling lonely, looking forward to tomorrow but also dreading it. It will be the first day without Rick. it's gonna suck. I'll message him throughout the day and we'll meet up with the rest of our friends after school. That was the part I was excited for. I made sure my hair and tail was dry before crawling into bed. I pulled out my phone after turning off the lights and texted Rick.

K. hey. Are you up?

R. Yeah, what's going on?

K. mom saw my mark

R. oh.

R. Was she pissed?

I laughed before typing my next response.

K. her and my dad are arguing right now

R. damn. Im sorry

K. don't be. It's mostly over my mom being a hot head. Speaking of which, expect to be treated like royalty next time you come here. Mom heard about what you did to Garth after he hit me and I think you earned like a hundred points.

R. points? Theres fucking points now?

K. you know what i mean. She loves you even more now, I didn't think that was possible. It's like you have a whole other family here Rick.

R. well i do like to think of Lilly as a sister.

Why didn't he mention me? Is it because he thinks of me as being higher than that? I'll find out tomorrow, I'm so scared.

K. im gonna miss you tomorrow : (

R. don't be sad, I hate when you're sad, I just want to see you happy. Always. We'll meet together after school I promise.

K. was Angel mad you told us about the boardwalk?

R. no. she actually liked the idea more, she still wants to do something though

K. well yeah. I've been taking up so much of your time

R. It's time well spent.

K. aww you're so cute. I'll see you tomorrow ya?

R. I promise.

K. Okay I'll miss you.

R. ill miss you too. Sweet dream Kate.

I closed my phone and turned over before shutting my eyes and falling asleep to the muffled sounds of my parents arguing. As I slept I dreamed that I was with Rick. I was really trying my best to put us both in a scenario in which I could kiss him, but every attempt failed. I must have really been nervous about tomorrow to bring this into my dreams. On top of that I must be doubting myself more than I thought because I kept failing, over and over and over again. I couldn't for the life of me get our lips to connect, no matter how much i tried. But finally I succeeded. We managed to get away from our friends, alone in my car.i offered for him to come in for a moment so he did. He asked me what was wrong and all I could say was that I loved him.

"I love you too Kate," he said. I didn't want to lose it this time. I quickly leaned across to the passenger seat and went for his lips. Just as I did though my alarm rang. I woke up and groaned in frustration. I couldn't even pull this off in my fucking sleep.

I didn't even bother to hit snooze. This alarm woke me up because it startled me. I sat up and crawled out of bed. I took a piss and brushed my teeth before having a quick shower to fully wake up and as I was washing myself I couldn't help but think about tonight. God please let this work out. I stepped out and dried off, making sure my fur, tail, and hair was dry. I walked back into my room and dropped my towel to the floor, then picked my outfit and headed out. Today was gonna suck in school.

"Ready?" I asked Lilly as usual.

"M-hm" she hummed as she took her cereal bowl over to the sink. I walked outside into the cold air and took a deep breath. Hopefully it will warm up later. I pulled out my phone as I sat down in the driver seat. I checked the temperature and saw that it was going to be a high of 56 degrees. Not the warmest but warm enough. We'll have to go early because it starts getting dark sooner because it's november. According to my phone it's sunset at around 5:30 and we get out of school at 6:00. I glanced up and saw Lilly locking up the door. I stared back down at my phone and swiped over to me and Rick's messages.

"I don't know if I'm ready for today. I'll miss you. : ( but at least you get to sleep in. Can you do me a favor though? When you wake up, message Shaky and Humphrey just in case I don't see them. See if they want to go, let me know what they say. Anyway, talk to you soon. XOXO." as i was texting Lilly had already gotten in the car so i put it in reverse and backed up.

The ride was silent apart from me asking Lilly to remind Humphrey about tonight. I know I told Rick but I wanted to make sure all six of us were there. I got my coffee and drove over to the school. As I parked I got a great surprise. I saw Rick's truck parked next to Humphreys' car. I didn't know what he was doing there but I didn't care. I parked next to Humphrey and stepped out. Turning the corner I saw Rick, Angel, and Humphrey talking.

"Rick?" I asked, getting the trio's attention. Lilly hugged Humphrey and gave him a kiss as I did the same with Rick, minus the kiss. "What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I had to drop off Angel, although I did get your text" he said smiling. I giggled. "I'll message him," Rick said.

"Okay" I replied. It was then that I realised it was so cold out that I could see my own breath.

"I hope it's not like this later," Lilly said with her arms crossed.

"It's supposed to get warm later, it will be about fifty so we'll be fine" i explained.

"I can't wait," Angel said. She was so cute, it was kind of easy to forget that she was fifteen sometimes.

"Were gonna go in, well catch ya later okay?" Humphrey said as he shook Rick's hand. Rick returned the shake and nodded.

"Bye big bro" Angel said, kissing Rick before walking off with Humphrey and Angel. It was just me and Rick now. I didn't want to leave him.

"She's so cute" I said, referring to Angel as I watched her walk off. I turned to Rick and sighed. "I'm not ready for today," I said.

"You'll be fine, you're a big girl" he teased. I giggled again. I then placed my coffee on the roof of my car and placed my hands in my pockets to warm them up. "You should go in before you freeze," Rick said.

"You're not getting rid of me that easily," I said. He laughed slightly. He walked over to me and leaned on the car with me.

"So you checked the temperature?" he asked.

"Yeah… it's only this cold because of the morning," I said. Rick nodded as he looked at the ground.

"So much for sleeping in," he said jokingly.

"What are you gonna do when you leave?" I asked.

"Sleep," he said. We both laughed before it went quiet.

'Lucky," I said. Rick shook his head slowly with a smile on his face. He then rubbed his thumb on my cheek.

"Your mark is gone," he said. I totally forgot that prick hit me. But I wasn't worried about that. Even though Rick wasn't wearing gloves or anything, His hands were so warm and calming. I nuzzled against them.

"You have magical hands," I said. He laughed as he went back to leaning on the car.

"So I've been told, my mother often asks me to give her a massage after work because apparently I'm good at it," he explained. I don't know if I've ever met his mom. Maybe once or twice because Lilly hangs out with Angel but other than that, I don't think we've officially met. I've seen her hang out with my mom on rare occasions and i have said hi but i just never had a conversation with her. She looked nice though. White hair and fur, and blue eyes. I think I see where Rick gets his wonderful eyes. If I remember correctly her name was… Delores? Yeah, I think that's right.

"You'll have to give me one then '' I teased. Rick chuckled.

"I'll do it, just let me know," he said. Fuck he's gullible at times. He did offer before but damn, But if i can feel that relaxed from just his touch alone, maybe he did give a killer massage.

I heard the bell ring, I was gonna be late if I didn't get to class right now.

"Guess that's my cue" Rick said as he started to walk away. I grabbed him into a tight hug though. I nuzzled against his face as I put my chin past his shoulder.I whimpered like a pup as I held onto him. "It won't be long," he said soothingly in my ear. He patted me on the back before breaking the hug. We looked into each other's eyes for a moment before I sighed.

"I gotta get going," I said sadly as I walked away. It was hard to do but I did it, not looking back as I did. I heard Rick get in his truck and drive off.

At lunch I decided to sit with my friends. I felt bad for just running past them yesterday. I needed to apologize. When I sat down they greeted me as if it didn't happen. Such nice girls they are. They had a conversation about some boy, I didn't really hear it. I was too busy thinking about tonight when Candy brought me back to reality.

"Kate?" she asked.

"Huh?" I was surprised. The girls laughed at my blankness.

"We were asking you about Rick," Sweets said, still laughing.

"What about him?" I asked.

"How are you two going? Have you asked him out?" Candy quizzed. I shook my head.

"Tonight" I stated.

"About damn time," Winter sait jokingly. I sighed before speaking again.

"Girls… ``I'm sorry for yesterday," I apologized.

"Sorry for what?" Sweets asked, concerned.

"You guys tried to say hi and i just ran past you" i explained.

"Oh yeah, what was that about?" Candy asked me. The girls looked at me concerned. It's really sweet that they care this much, and here I thought that they didn't care about me at one point.

"Fucking Garth" i said. The girls groaned.

"What did the dude do?" Winter asked with her head resting on her hand.

"He just… he pissed me off," I said.

"Well, I think your boyfriend took care of him for you," Sweets teased.

"Yeah, that was fucking hot" Winter said.

"Don't even think about it," I joked.

"Yeah Winter, you don't want to end up like that cupcake" Candy joked as she tapped Winter on the arm. Oh my God i forgot about the fucking cupcake. How embarrassing.

I looked past Candy to see Humphrey waving me over to his table.

"I'll be right back Girls" I told the group as I got up and walked over to the table. "What's up?" I asked Humphrey who was sitting with Lilly and Angel.

"So Rick messaged Shaky and he's coming, so that's taken care of, also Rick wanted to know when you wanted to go" Humphrey explained. Good, all of us will be there.

"As soon as we can, I don't want to be out in the cold once the sun goes down," I said.

"Alright I'll text him, '' Humphrey said as he pulled out his phone. At that moment I felt someone hit my arm playfully. It was Shaky just passing by.

"Kate," he said. Was that it? Hes a fucking moron. I love it. I saw Lilly whisper something to Angel. Angel shrugged in response to whatever she said. I hope it was about Shaky and not me.

"So how about right after school?" Humphrey asked as he held his phone ready to type.

"Girls?" I called. Angel and Lilly stared at me.

"I don't care," Angel said, trying not to feel like everything was on her time. I understood that, that's why I asked them in the first place. Everyones asking me what I want, why? It's not all up to me, I don't want everyone to do what I want on my time, is that how people see me? No, I think Humphrey and Rick are just nice. Oh shit I'm thinking too long.

"After school sounds good," Lilly said. Humphrey texted Rick the time to meet and hit send. Thanks Lilly. I nodded before going back to sit with my friends.

Ricks POV

Tonight was gonna be so much fun. I was really looking forward to all the stuff us six were gonna get into. As I drove to the school to pick up Angel I played countless scenarios in my head. But most of all I wanted to recreate the picture with all of us. I pulled into a parking spot next to Humphrey. Angel hopped in and left the door open.

"We're heading there now right?" I asked Humphrey as he leaned by the door.

"Yeah, Shaky and Kate are gonna drive there and meet us, sound good?" Humphrey asked.

"Yep," I said. Humphrey nodded and got in his car as Angle shut the door. When she shut it I saw Kate getting in her car. She waved to me with that gorgeous smile I loved so much. I smiled as I waved back. Meanwhile Angel hooked her phone up to the radio and started to play music.

As we drove to the boardwalk which was about a thirty minute drive, I decided to ask Angel about Shaky.

"So Angel…" I started. I saw her turn to me from the corner of my eye. "Are you and Shaky dating?" I asked. She laughed.

"What do you think?" she said sarcastically. I shrugged.

"I don't know what you're up to" I defended.

"Yeah, because you spend every minute with Kate now," she joked.

"We'll do something, I promise" I said. She giggled as a response. It was silent until I made a suggestion. "You should ask him out," I said. She turned to me again.

"Rick… just… no" she said, looking down. As much as she jokes and acts big. She's really sweet and shy.

"Angel… Shaky wont turn you down" i said.

"How do you know?" she asked. I drove in silence for about five seconds, trying to think of a response.

"What other choice does he have?" I eventually said. Angel scoffed as she gave me a look that said are you kidding me?

"So I'm that ugly huh?" she asked. I laughed.

"No Angie, I'm saying you're probably the only girl that actually wants to date him" I explained. Angel sighed.

"No… other girls have their eye on him" she said.

"I don't see him turning you down," I assured her.

"You still haven't given me proof" Angel joked. I pulled out my phone and swiped to my camera roll, pulling up the group picture at Dave & busters. I then handed her the phone.

"Look at that...do you see how his arm is wrapped around you? He did not have to do that. He could have stood with anyone," I explained. Angel looked at the photo in silence. After about a minute she put the phone in the cup holder.

"Maybe" she said. Aww my baby sisters nervous. Guess it runs in the family.

"Better seal that deal now… besides…" I turned to her, taking my eye off the road for a moment. "You both wear jean jackets," I teased. Angel laughed and hit my arm as I turned back to the road.

Pulling into one of the parking lots we all met up, parking our four cars in a neat line. We stepped out and looked around. There were a good amount of people, but not an overwhelming amount. Good. it was warm out too, i could tell the temperature was gonna drop though. I turned and started walking to a car, wasn't sure which one. Humphrey met me, making me stop.

"Alright so we have to agree now, Shaky gets on a roller coaster that goes upside down' Humphrey said. I spit out a laugh.

"Let's not tell him it does it though" I suggested

. "Sounds fun" Kate chimed in as she started walking besides us.

"What does?" Shaky asked, walking up to us.

"Rides," Angel whispered.

"Oh yeah, nothing too crazy though," Shaky said. Me and Humphrey nodded with a smile. Kate took my hand and started strolling to the boardwalk. As I looked over at the other four I realized that this was kind of like a triple date. How fun.

We didn't really pay attention to the stores, we just walked over to the rides and bought tickets.

"Okay here's what we'll do, let's take a vote in a direction and circle around" i suggested. Everyone liked the idea, so that's what we did. Left ended up winning so it was the boat ride first.

"Never had the guts to go on this" Kate said as she climbed into the seat next to me. "There a reason you wanted the back so bad?" she asked.

"Yeah, when this goes up, the people in the back get the most wind when it does back down" I explained. Kate gulped as the ride started. I'm not sure why though because she handles every rollercoaster just fine. Every. single. One. Shaky on the other hand.

"You guys are assholes' ' he said as he stumbled out of the roller coaster exit. Me and Humphrey did a fist bump from the side as we laughed. Angel and Lilly enjoyed the show too. Kate was too worried about going on the next ride though. Couldn't blame her.

We ended up playing some games in the arcade for about an hour as well as games with prizes. We didnt really care about that though, we were just focusing on beating each other's scores. Me and Humphrey specifically. I did end up winning a plushie though. Guess who I gave it to.

"Oh Rick, you're my favorite cliche" Kate joked as she hugged the plushie. We all laughed. The plushie was so big though that we had to put it in her car because it was too big to lug around. I walked with Kate to her car while the others picked a place to eat. By this point the sun was down so I wanted someone with Kate regardless if it was me or not.

"Having fun?" I asked Kate. she nodded excitedly. She tried reaching into her pocket but couldn't.

"Rick could you…" she didnt finish the question as she stuck her hip out to me. I reached into her pocket and grabbed her keys. I unlocked the door as she put her new plushie in her back seat. When she let it go she breathed over dramatically as she shut the door. She then put her arms around my shoulders, bringing our noses inches apart. "I am having fun," she said with a smile. There were those fangs again, so cute.

"Glad to hear," I said. I turned to the rides and looked at the ferris wheel. Kate followed my gaze. "Ever rode one of those?" I asked.

"No," she said. I turned back to her.

"Looks like you'll be trying out multiple rides tonight" I teased.

"But I'm… afraid of heights," she confessed.

"But the roller coasters were high," I said.

``Not that high'' she said with a bit of fear in her voice.

"I'll be there," I persuaded. She smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Okay" she said. I broke the hug and held out my hand. She took it and we started the walk back to the boardwalk.

We had to call the group but eventually we found out what restaurant they went to. Some sort of pizza place. This one you could sit down so it must have been why they chose it. We sat down next to each other. Lilly obviously sat next to Humphrey while Shaky sat with Angel.i wonder who sat where first.

"Rick tell him," Shaky said. I had no idea what me and Kate missed.

"Tell him what?" I asked. Shaky held up a napkin with a shitty drawing on it.

"What is this?" he asked. Me and Kate stared at it.

"Looks like… some sort of ball with eyes," I said. Kate giggled at my description.

"It's a bunny," Humphrey said. Shaky laughed as he put the napkin down on the table.

"I refuse to believe that's your best bunny," Shaky said.

"Gimme that" Lilly said as she slid the napkin over to her and grabbed the pen on the table.

"That's not fair, you've taken art classes" Humphrey whined.

"Shh '' Lilly shot quickly as she was drawing.

"You know Humphrey, I'm pretty decent at drawing and I never took an art class," I said.

"Rick… i know, you act like i've never seen your shit before" he said. Just then our server came to ask if me and Kate wanted anything to drink. We ordered sodas and pizza slices before we turned back to Humphrey.

"Angels pretty decent too," I said.

"Yes… I am, but I've also taken an art class" she said.

"One, you took one," I tattled.

"That's a good thing though, because if you took only one class or no classes at all that means you are just naturally gifted" Kate explained.

"Kate, what are you trying to say?" Lilly asked jokingly. We all laughed. Lilly slid the napkin over to reveal a beautifully drawn and detailed bunny. Fuck she even took the time to add a bit of background.

"Damn Lils" Shaky said. I grabbed a couple of napkins and put Humphrey and Lillys drawing side by side. I then gave everyone a napkin except for Lilly and Humphrey.

"Alright let's do this, Lilly can I get that pen?" I asked. She handed it to me and I got to work.

"This is bullshit," Humphrey pouted. Shaky snickered.

"Why don't you take an art class, or have Lilly or Rick teach you some things? '' Angel suggested.

"We would help you," I said as I continued to draw.

"I'll think about it," he said as he innocently took a sip from his cup. I finished and it looked really good. Not as good as Lillys though. I slid the pen over to Kate and she took it.

"I dont think ive ever seen you draw," Lilly said.

"Im… okay" Kate replied as she paused for a moment.

"I'm not the best but I don't sit there practicing either, '' Shaky said.

"I could teach you some things if you want," Angel said as she patted his shoulder.

"I'd be down," Shaky responded. Wow, was that a move or a gesture? I couldn't tell. Either way it's a step in the right direction.

"Done" I heard Kate say. We all looked over as she slid the napkin in the center of the table.

"Wow Kate, i don't know you had it in ya" Lilly said. The bunny looked great, no way Kate did not practice or something.

Kate slid the pen over to Angel and she got to work.

"No way you dont practice or something" i said as i continued to admire the drawing.

"I draw here and there. I actually have a sketchbook in my room, but I don't use it much though. I've had it for about two years and haven't filled it up" Kate explained.

"Where did you learn how to draw like that?" Lilly asked, still facentated. I guess she really did never see Kate draw. The bunny in my opinion wasn't as good as Lillys but it was still really good. Artist quality.

"I've been drawing since I was little, remember?" Kate said. Lilly shook her head.

"Doodles," Kate responded.

"Doodles?" Shaky asked with a chuckle.

"I doodle a lot in class, as I go through the years I got better and better, for me it's all about detail" Kate explained.

"doodles huh?" Humphrey said, turning the napkin to him.

"Alright" Angel exhaled. We looked at the drawing to see it was nicely done. She slid it to the pile and handed the pen to Shaky. He started drawing.

"I don't know Rick, I think yours looks better, '' Angel said.

"I practice… a lot," I said. Angel nodded as if to say I was right. "You got better handwriting though" I complimented. She laughed. "You know one time Humphrey asked me why I was so good at drawing but so shit at hand writing?" I told. We all laughed except for Shaky who just snickered as to not mess up the drawing.

"I wanted to know," Humphrey defended.

"That's.. So… mean…" Lilly said in between laughs.

"Your handwriting is not that bad" Kate said.

"Shaky, give me that open when you're done" I requested. Shaky just nodded.

"Well what's yours look like then Humphrey?" Lilly asked.

"Not as bad," he admitted.

"Not terrible but I still have trouble reading it sometimes," Lilly said. We stared at her silently except for Shaky. Kate was the only one to cock her head to the side. "I copy his homework sometimes," Lilly explained. Oh.

"Okay, that should do it" Shaky said as he slid his bunny over. It looked good. Not great, but pretty damn good.

"What. the. Fuck." Humphrey said. We all laughed at the situation. Just then our pizza slices came and we all ate while laughing about the drawings. After we ate we all paid and headed out. On the way out I spotted Kate pop a tik tak in her mouth. Ha! Caught you that time.

We went back to the rides and finished up what we had not been on. But we had one more thing to do. The ferris wheel.

"You guys go on ahead we'll wait here," Shaky said. Humphrey on the other hand went to the bathroom so Lilly didnt want to go without him.

"Guess it's just you and me then '' I teased. Kate just giggled as we walked up to the entrance. We gave the dude at the entrance tickets before we stepped on. Kate was hesitant but accepted once I offered her my hand. Slowly we rose to the top before stopping. It was good that it was just us two. The space was only big enough to fit four people, and it wasn't just seats. You could get up and walk to the other seat across from you if you wanted to. I sat next to Kate though. Me and her looked over towards the city in awe.

"Wow, it's so pretty," she said. I nodded. "Let's take a picture with it," she suggested as she pulled out her phone.

"Alright" I said, scooting closer to her. She leaned towards me as I did the same while she held the phone out. We smiled while Kate tried to get both us and the city in the background. She snapped the picture and looked down at it. Another smile spread across her face.

"I love it," she said.

"Send it to me," I asked. She did it quickly and then put her phone back in her pocket. I felt my phone vibrate. "Thanks," I said. I didn't bother to check, I knew what it was. Kate nodded before looking into my eyes. I did the same, not saying a word. Here we were again. No words, no sounds. Nothing but eye contact and tension. Finally Kate spoke, what she said left me in absolute shock. Something I never thought I would hear from her. Something I always dreamed of hearing, never once thinking it would come to reality.

"I love you Rick," she said. I sat for a moment taking it in. Finally I said my response.

"I… I love you… Kate," I said. This was it wasnt it? After so many attempts this was it. We started to lean in. Once we were close enough I rubbed Kate's soft cheek as she did the same. Our noses were inches apart. I could feel her hot breath on me, warming me from the cold air. She looked at me with lust in her eyes.

"Kisss meee" she whispered in low, breathy words. And after all this time… I did just that. Our lips connected as we closed our eyes, taking in the moment. I don't even think I was there for a moment. I was somewhere else in my own heaven just trying to process the fact that my lips were pressed against the love of my life. Her lips were so warm and soft, not to mention moist. They were everything I dreamed and more. After about five seconds our lips parted creating a low, moist smack sound. There was no tongue but i didn't want there to be. This was everything I could have ever dreamed of and more. So sweet and careful. We opened our eyes and looked into them again. Kate started to laugh lightly, I did the same as I put my forehead on hers again. We were still rubbing each other's cheeks, brushing the fur with our thumbs. This was a great night.

The ferris wheel started to lower, making us break apart. I had a bunch of thoughts racing through my mind. Starting with the fact that the girl I've been crushing on since middle school was finally my girlfriend. I then thought of something.

"Kate?" I called. She turned to me.

"Hm?" she hummed in question, this smile still hasnt left her beautiful face.

"Was that… your first kiss?" I asked. I know she's told me she never kissed anyone multiple times but… I wanted to know. I'm sure she was thinking the same. She stared at me for a moment before answering.

"Yeah… you?" she asked. I nodded. It was my first kiss, I wanted to save it for someone I loved. I feel like I did just that. We stared at each other after I nodded before leaning over and kissing again.

"I can get used to this," Kate laughed. I did the same as I took her hand and kissed it. When we arrived at the bottom we saw the rest of our little group.

"Have fun up there?" Angel asked. I chuckled before nodding.

"So… i think it's time" Lilly said as she held out her phone. Yes. Yes, it was time.

We had me and Kate with her left arm wrapped around the back of my neck, while I did the same but mirrored. The side of our faces touching, meanwhile Kate's right hand was resting on Lillys right shoulder, going around Humphrey who stood in between the two. Lilly leaned in next to Humphreys face while Humphrey had his head resting on her left shoulder. With his left arm around Kate. Angel was hugging me from my left side with her right arm while Shaky took a page out of Humphreys book and rested his head on Angel's left shoulder with a smug smile. His left hand was placed in his pocket with his thumb sticking out of it. All as the lights of the rides and the park in general were in the background making the picture even more precious, we asked someone random to take the picture. I was one of the security guards of the park who seemed like a cool guy. He did a great job taking the picture, it looked great. We thanked him before gathering around Angel to look at the picture. This one was definitely better than the last one, and with what happened on the ferris wheel, the love of my friends no… my family around me. Now I felt like I had truly never been happier.
