Still in the fight
Disclaimer: I do in anyway shape or form own Halo or Transformers prime.
(A.N): Just so you guys aren't confused. Noble 6 has been with Master Chief all the way from Combat Evolved and Halo Infinite. Sometime after Halo Infinite's ending, that is when Spartan B312 made his way into the Transformers Prime universe. Jewel was giving to Six after the events of Combat Evolved, at the beginning of Halo 2 when Master Chief is receiving his new armor.
Also, Jewel is my own OC AI. She is not based on any existing Halo canon AI just to be clear.
Also, just know that while B312 and Jewel will be distrustful of the Autobots, they're not going to be outright hostile against them. The reason for this is that Arbiter and Chief were able to forge a bond in a single game even though the two species were at war for decades. Also, Spartans are very practical and pragmatic, he'll understand that things are different in this new reality and do his best to adapt to it. While Six and Jewel will be suspicious of them, they'll give them a chance at the very least.
If you guys have any ideas or suggestions feel free to leave it in a review.
Hope you enjoy!
(Flashback)
Over Zeta Halo, the Banished were launching a full-scale assault on the super-carrier Infinity. Banished ships rammed into the Super carrier and deployed boarding parties to fight the humans in close quarters combat. Phantoms, Banshees battled with UNSC Pelicans, Broadswords and Longswords. The remaining crew on board the ship were evacuating in any way they could via lifeboats or Pelicans. To both sides the outcome of the battle was already clear.
The UNSC Infinity was lost.
Inside one of the many hangers, two Spartans were fighting off waves of Banished boarding squads as UNSC personnel rushed towards the remaining Pelicans and made their way off the Infinity. One of them had black and grey armored with a silver visor and was armed with a VK 78 Commando, while the other had armored colored in green with a gold visor and held a M40 AR. Shot were fired with precision accuracy from the two as multiple Banished Grunts, Jackals, and Brutes fell by their hand.
These Spartans were Maddox-B312 from the Spartan-3 program and John-117 of the Spartan-2 project.
The two have been together ever since the fall of Reach, ever since he made off the planet thanks to the sacrifice of Emile-A239, thanks to him staying behind to man the MAC gun in order for the Pillar of Autumn to escape. Since then, they've fought the Covenant, Flood, the Didact, the Prometheans and now the Banished. Between them developed a strong brotherhood where they both held a strong trust and sense of comradery through the many trials they endured together ever since the battle of Installation 04. The pair trusted each other without question and became one of the most feared pairs against those they fought against.
Suddenly, Maddox was hit by a gravity hammer and flew across the hanger. John turned to face the threat only to come face to face with the leader of the Banished, Atriox. He swung down his hammer which Chief blocked with his left arm. Chief attempted to shoot the Brute with his pistol, but before he could he was lifted up by his right arm and hit hard with the gravity hammer, where he landed next to the Lieutenant.
Atriox walked towards them and lifted his weapon, intending to crush them both, but before he could the Lieutenant quickly delivered a series of punches which could've easily killed a human to his gut while the Master Chief delivered an uppercut up his chin. However, the leader of the Banished quickly recovered and smashed his hammer into the two Spartans which once again made them fall to the ground.
The Spartans were grabbed and dragged towards the exit of the hanger bay which led into the vacuum of space. B312 tried to grab onto a nearby Warthog, but it was no use as they were lifted by their necks and hanged right over the void.
"My name is Atriox. And I shall be the last face you'll ever see," He threw the duo out of the hanger and watched as they drifted away. Both of them attempted to use their grappling shots to get back into the hanger, unfortunately it was no use as they were already too far away.
They could only watch helplessly as the battle continued. Unable to do anything to help as they drifted off amongst the debris of destroyed ships.
(Flashback ends)
As soon as Maddox opened his eyes, he immediately stood on his feet as he took in his surroundings. He was inside a very large room that looked more suited to be a storage area rather than a prison cell. His rifle and sidearm was missing as well as his backpack and most of his gear. Fortunately, he still had his grapple shot and his GEN 3 MJOLNIR armor developed by Dr, Halsey while they were on the UNSC Infinity. While it did receive many scratches and dents during the battle for Zeta Halo, it nevertheless remained an extremely reliable and effective piece of military hardware.
"Jewel, are you there?" He asked inside of his helmet to his personal AI partner, Jewel. Once Six and Chief returned to Earth after the battle of Installation 04. Six was assigned his very own AI partner much like Cortana and Master Chief. She reminded the Lieutenant of Auntie Dot, the AI assigned to Noble team during the Battle of Reach, in many ways. The differences are that while Auntie Dot was a dumb AI, Jewel was a smart AI and unlike Dot had her own form that she utilized much the one used by Cortana.
"I am here Lieutenant; my systems are coming back online as we speak." Jewel responded after a few seconds of waiting for her to reboot herself.
"Where are we?" Six questioned as he took a look around the space he found himself in.
"I am uncertain. However, judging by the size of this room it's possible that we are in some kind of storage facility. Or this is perhaps a cell of some kind," Jewel suggested. "I've detected an unknown network and I'm currently attempting to access it to learn more about our situation. The encryption is more…. different than the ones I accessed previously but I'm confident I can break through it."
The Spartan-3 Lieutenant began scanning the room, looking for any way to get out. He had to admit that it was strange that someone would create a prison cell this big. Shaking his head, he kept looking for an exit. In the upper right corner was what looked to be a video camera, most likely transmitting a live feed from the inside of the cell to whoever was in control of this facility. Choosing to deal with the camera at a later time, B312 continued to search for a way out along with Jewel.
Before they could find one however, the massive doors to the room opened.
Optimus Prime entered the room along with Arcee while Bumblebee and Bulkhead stood outside. Ratchet and the humans remained in the main area, watching the interaction through the cells video feed. After Optimus placed the unknown being inside of the room, he found Miko following close behind him to observe their new guest. Before Optimus could ask her what she was doing, both of them noticed that the figure was now standing up instead of lying down where he was a few seconds earlier. Optimus told Miko to go get Arcee, Bumblebee and Bulkhead while he remained behind to watch him. As soon as the others arrived, Optimus ordered Arcee to come in with him while the rest waited outside incase if they were needed. He did not want to come across as overly threatening in case if their unknown had no affiliation with the Decepticons.
The armored figure turned to face them as soon as they did stepped in. While his posture and stance revealed nothing, he seemed to regard them with suspicion and caution. Optimus made sure to display no signs of aggression and made no threatening display. He did not want to cause someone that had nothing to do with the Autobot - Decepticon war to become hostile towards the Autobots over a misunderstanding.
While Optimus did not believe the figure to be Decepticon, he still did not know whether or not he was a threat to the Autobots or to the human race. Therefore, he opted to remain cautious.
"Hello, I hope you are not too heavily injured from your crash landing. We recovered you from your ship after it crashed. May I ask who you are and where you're from."
The being just continued to stare at him blankly, not showing any signs of fear despite being vastly smaller than the two cybertronians.
"I assure you; we mean you no harm My name is Optimus Prime and this is Arcee. We are cybernetic autonomous organisms from the planet known as Cybertron, but you may call us Autobots. The planet in which you landed upon is named Earth."
The armored warrior continued to say nothing. Revealing nothing about how he felt or any sign that there was someone even there. Soon, Arcee lowered herself down one knee as she spoke up.
"Look, we don't know who or what you are. So, we need you to at least tell us who you are before we can let you out." Arcee said while kneeling down on one knee. After a few seconds, he spoke up for the first time. His voice was a bit gruff but what was concerning to Optimus was how he spoke. His voice sounded like he was completely dead inside as there was no sight of any energy or emotion.
"Lieutenant Sierra-Bravo 312, UNSC."
Arcee and Optimus glanced at each other before Optimus questioned him on his statement.
"I'm sorry, but what is this UNSC?"
"United Nations Space Command, the military arm of the UEG." The armored soldier stated bluntly.
"Are you aware of the Autobot – Decepticon conflict?"
After a few seconds, the unknown figure slowly shook his head to signify that he did not know of the cybertronian war. This only served to further confuse the Autobots and the humans. Optimus opened up his comms to secretly converse with the rest of the Autobots. "/I do not believe him to be Decepticon affiliated. Therefore, I will take him to his equipment in the main area as a sign of trust and goodwill. /"
"/Optimus with all due respect, are you sure that is a good idea? We don't know anything about him." Ratchet pointed out.
"/Maybe he is some kind of failed experiment created by Shockwave or something?" Arcee countered.
"/I do not see the logic or advantage in creating something like this. His insignia may indicate that he's from a faction independent of both Autobots and Deception.
"/Alright, it's your call sir. /" Arcee said
"As a sign of good faith, I will take you to your gear. Please follow me." Optimus said before walking out.
The Lieutenant followed Optimus warily as he passed by Arcee and Bulkhead, who continued to monitor him for any signs of sudden movements. Once he spotted the kids and Agent Fowler, he appeared to be surprised to see them, though he said nothing as he continued walking.
"Your equipment is on top of the platform." Optimus said to the Spartan just before he started to make his way his way up the stairs.
The unknown soldier gave a quick glance towards the other humans once he arrived before opening up his crate. Taking out a pistol which he placed in his holster and equipping himself with what looked to be some kind of advanced assault rifle with an underbarrel grenade launcher. He also took out many magazines and grenades and placed them inside of his suit's pouches and storage areas. While he continued to rummage through his gear, Jack decided to speak up first.
"So, why did you destroy your ship?" The being turned his silver visor over to Jack for a split second, which resulted in Jack internally shuddering at his stare, before continuing to go through his equipment.
"In the event of an asset being damaged beyond repair. Initiate a purge to prevent capture into enemy hands, as according to the Cole Protocol article 12."
This prompted the members of Team Prime to look at each other, as they now had further questions such as what was the Cole Protocol and what enemy he was talking about? Raf then decided to speak next.
"So uh, I hope you don't mind but I took a look through your case and went in the data pad you had in there."
As soon as Raf finished, the unknown figure instantly looked towards the twelve-year-old, making Bumblebee to be on guard and Agent Fowler became ready to pull Raf to safety in case he tried anything. After a few seconds of nonstop staring, the armored being asked him a question.
"What did you see?"
Raf suddenly became very nervous as he responded. "Nothing much. Only heard about someone named Chief and "her".
"And something about a Ring and Zulu Hotel. What's that?" Miko asked cautiously, but it was obvious to everyone in the room that she was excited to know more.
The being just continued staring at Raf, as if pondering over what he just said. Just before Raf could apologize, the unknown spoke again.
"Don't do that again." He warned bluntly before going back to sorting through his gear.
Agent Fowler decided to speak up next. "I'm Special Agent William Fowler of the United States Government. And who might you be?"
After a few seconds, the Spartan looked up and replied with the same answer, "Lieutenant Sierra-Bravo 312, UNSC." As soon as he was done, he suddenly spoke up again as he placed some magazines on his armor.
"What year is this?"
The members of Team Prime looked at each with confused looks on their faces and faceplates at the seemingly random question.
"If you're going by the human calendar, the year is early 2011." Jack answered with a bit of confusion, as to why this newcomer wanted to know the human date.
The Spartan-3 said unknown said nothing, continuing to go through his gear. He showed no signs of what he was thinking or feeling. After a few minutes with awkward silence, he suddenly decided to speak again as he put on his backpack.
"I need to go back."
"That may have been easier if you haven't set your ship to blow up." Miko retorted but soon became very quiet once his silver visor was staring right back at her.
"First we need to know if you are a threat. So once again, who are you?" Bulkhead questioned.
The armored warrior said nothing for a few minutes, looking like he was contemplating over Bulkhead's question. There was an uneasy silence while Team Prime waited on his answer. After a few minutes, he looked back up at the Autobots before speaking.
"Alright, let me introduce you to a friend of mine. She may explain better than me." Before anyone can ask what, he meant since he appeared to have arrived alone, he put out his hand and a holographic human female that looked to be in her mid-twenties came out of it in the color green with a New Zealand accent. She had a leather jacket with a T-shirt and jeans with hair that went down to her shoulders.
"Greetings, I am UNSC AI JWL-0616-7, but you may call me Jewel."
Everyone was shocked at this newcomer, especially the humans.
"W-who are you?" Ratchet asked
"Jewel is an artificial intelligence that resides within my suit. She came with me when we crash landed here."
"So, where exactly did you come from? And why exactly do you look human?" Raf asked as he adjusted his glasses.
"Allow me to explain, UNSC stands for United Nations Space Command. The military arm of mankind from where we are from. Six here is a human from another dimension and I am his personal AI partner. The most logically explanation I can determine that this is a different reality than our own, is due to the historical differences between our time and yours as well as the fact that we are centuries ahead of you. From what I can tell, we most likely got here due to a slipspace malfunction caused by our damaged drive which sent us here instead of allowing us to reach out intended destination."
Silence filled the entire room for nearly a minute as everyone was stunned by this revelation before Arcee decided to speak, "Y-you're saying you are from a different dimension?" She asked with clear shock in her voice.
"Correct. Whether or not you believe us is up to you, but the fact remains that is the truth."
"What evidence do you have for this?" Ratchet asked the two.
"Unfortunately, most of that information is classified. However, it is correct that we must get back home."
"Well, in that case maybe you shouldn't have blown up what was left of your ship." Miko quipped attempting to make a joke. The Spartan and the AI made no indicator on whether or not they heard her as they continued to speak.
"Jewel, do you think we can replicate the accident that caused us to travel here?" The Hyper-lethal asked his friend. She gave him an expression that conveyed clear frustration as she crossed her arms.
"Six…I-I…I honestly don't know. Something like this has never happened before and it all occurred so fast, even for me. I'm already running hundreds of theories and calculations and for any method I did come up with, there is only a three percent chance of how we got here to this universe in the first place. And that three percent is extremely generous. Who knows why, how, or possibly even where we need to go to in order to get back home." She answered honestly.
Both of them sighed with a feeling of defeat, looking down towards the metal floor of the Autobot base. Their thoughts drifting over to Lasky, John, and Cortana. They felt useless due to the fact that they were stuck here with no known way back. Six worried for John as he wondered what his brother-in-arms was doing now, how Cortana, Lasky, and everyone else was doing after the events of Zeta Halo.
Before they could go to deep into thought, Optimus broke the silence. "Perhaps we can offer some assistance in helping you get back to your home dimensions."
Six and Jewel both looked back up at Optimus. "You will? Why?" Jewel asked.
"You both clearly desire to return to your reality. While we are unfamiliar in this field of expertise, we will offer any kind of aid we can to help in in this endeavor."
The Lieutenant and Jewel looked at each other hesitantly. Silent communication that only each other knew passed between them as Team Prime watched.
"In the meantime, maybe you could help us out here. At least until you find a way to get back?" Jack asked hopefully.
Jewel looked over to him. "Are you referring to what you said earlier? Those Decepticons?" She questioned.
"Yeah! They want to destroy our world and while we did lay the smackdown on them a few times. It wouldn't hurt to have another fight on our side." Miko said with excitement.
Six and Jewel looked at each other. Another silent conversation passing between the two before Six spoke to Team Prime.
"Very well. Until we can make it back to our home dimension, we will assist you as needed in exchange you help us get back."
While the members of Team Prime were still weary of him given that they still don't know much about him and his AI, they were willing to give them a chance to see what they were capable of.
"Then if I may ask, what shall we call you?" Optimus asked the super-soldier.
"Six."
(A.N): Now I'm going to be honest. I have no idea if this chapter is even good or not, tried my best to do a good intro but I don't have much experience with those TBH. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any ideas or suggestions feel free to put it in a review.
See you next time lads.
