Rose wake up as she heard screaming. She gets up off of the couch.

"MARIA HELP!" Sookie yell

Maria ran upstairs. She walked to the bathroom.

"Sookie? (Sookie hiding in the shower.) There's something I want to tell you about Sam." Maria said

Maria opened the curtains. Sam approaches to them and transform back into his human form. Sookie is stunned.

"I'm not the killer, I swear. I'm a shape-shifter." Sam said

Outside.

"A shape-shifter?" Sookie asked Sam

"Most of us refer to ourselves simply as shifters." Sam said

Sookie looked at her sister.

"You lied to me. Again." Sookie said

"I didn't want her to tell you. Not yet." Sam said

"I sure as hell dont need this. Sam you protect her for tonight. I'm going home." Maria said

Thursday.

Out of Merlotte's.

Sam is putting the lanterns.

"Sookie, could you reach me up another box of lanterns?" Sam asked Sookie

Sookie ignored Sam.

"I'll do it." Maria said

Maria hands Sam the box full of lanterns.

"Thanks." Sam thanking Maria

"You're welcome." Maria said

"Thank you, Terry. You are so sweet and reliable. I always know what to expect from you. No nasty surprises." Sookie said

"That's just because you don't know me very well." Terry said

Arlene arrives.

"Oh, Sam. These lanterns are just precious. But they ought to alternate colors. Like boy-girl seating." Arlene said

"But they're already in place." Sam said

"Oh, it won't tale a minute to change." Arlene said

"We'll fix it." Maria said

"Don't you think they should hang in little scallops, like a gingerbread house? It'll be more romantic that way, not like some hick barn dance." Arlene said

"What do you want it to look like?" Sam asked Arlene

"A debutante ball." Terry said

"Hug your neck. You know exactly what I'm talking about. I'll be right back. Thank you, Sam." Arlene thanking Sam

Arlene goes inside.

"How did you know what she wanted?" Sam asked Terry

"My cousin Portia was a deb in Shreveport when she turned 18. Every Bellefleur woman's been doing it since they started having them before the revolutionary War." Terry said

"It must be nice to come from such an old family." Sam said

"All families are old, Sam. Some just keep better records." Terry said

"Of course they are." Maria said

"Sam. Sam. Don't put the red ones next to the green ones. This ain't Christmas. (Arlene begins to go.) Someone get that dog out of here." Arlene said

Night time.

Maria walked towards her sister and sit with her.

"I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about Sam. I should've." Maria said

"No. He should've told me. Instead he show it to me. I don't blame you for keeping his secret." Sookie said

Terry approaches to them.

"I'd ask either one of you to dance, but I don't dance." Terry said

"I'll teach you. (Terry frozed. Maria gets up and dragged Terry on the dancefloor.) Your right hand on my hip. (He put his right hand on her hip. While she puts her left hand on his shoulder.) Your left hand to my right hand. (He puts his left hand on her right hand.) Slowly follow my lead. (She begins to move her feet and he begins to follow her lead.) Ok. Now slowly spin me. (Terry slowly spinning her.) Very good." Maria said

Arlene, Sookie, Maria, and Amy are talking, seated around a table.

"You know what I live most about Renè? Aside from his fine little Cajun butt. He's good to the kids. He's good to me. All the rest were fixer-uppers. But Renè, he's solid all the way to the foundation. I can count on him. And I've never had that in all my life." Arlene said

"I know what you mean. I mean, I never knew I could have something like what I have with Jason. I'm not about to let anything destroy that." Amy said

"I don't know anyone can trust anybody these days." Sookie said

"You should give them a chance. Let them explain their past life when they get the chance." Maria said

"Well, you know what I love about Jason? Everything is just right there on the surface. You never have to wonder what he's thinking." Amy said

"Yeah, because he ain't thinking." Sookie said

Arlene laughs. Tara arrives drunk.

"Hey, girlfriends, what's up?" Tara said

"Tara. You look...You look great." Arlene said

"Prom night, 2000. I ain't wore it since." Tara said

"Well, it still fits you." Amy said

"Tara, come here." Sookie said

Maria, Sookie, and Tara walked on the other side.

"We've never seen you like this. Is this because of Sam?" Sookie asked Tara

"We saw you. In his office. Why didn't you tell us?" Maria asked Tara

"It's none of y'all's business. You two dating vampires. Hell at least he's not a bloodsucker drinks my blood." Tara said

"Bitch!" Maria said

Maria and her sister leaves.

"Sookie! Maria!" Tara said

"Maria? Sookie? Have you two seen Sam? We're out of ice." Arlene said

"I'll get it. I could use break from all this anyhow." Sookie said

Sookie leaves.

"Well, thanks for having such a great time at my party." Arlene said

Sookie goes in the Merlotte's.

"She's in the mood." Maria said

"Because of Bill?" Arlene asked Maria

Maria couldn't tell what Sam is to Arlene. She also knew that Sookie is also mad at Bill.

"Yeah. That's why she's mad." Maria said

"Everyone seeing you teaching Terry how to dance." Arlene said

"You know me. Always help a friend out." Maria said
