Saturday.
At the police station.
Jason's in jail. Kevin the police officer was Sookie and her sisters way.
"We're going in, whether you like it or not." Sookie said
"He's our brother, dammit." Maria said
"He's only allowed one visitor at a time." Kevin said
"Either let us by or throw us in there with him, but we're gonna see our brother." Sookie said
Maria shoved Kevin away. Maria and her sister goes in front of the jail door. Their brother behind bars.
"Jason." Maria and Sookie said
Sookie hold her brother's left hand and Maria hold his right hand.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Jason apologize
"You have nothing to be sorry for." Sookie said
"We could've gotten here a lot faster before you confessed to something you didn't even do." Maria said
"I don't remember doing any of it. I just know I did." Jason said
"Jason, you need to shut up, okay? Because we're real close to finding out who the real killer is." Sookie said
"How?" Jason asked both his sister's
"His name's Drew Marshall. He had a sister named Cindy, and he killed her. Strangled her just like Maudette and Dawn and Amy. (Sookie reads Renè's thoughts then stopped. She looked at him.) We tried that. So far the cops have done diddlysquat to protect me and my family. Besides, we don't have evidence. I don't even know what Drew Marshall looks like." Sookie said
"So you can't really be sure he's the killer. Renè said
"I've seen what's inside his head." Sookie said
Sookie reads Renè's mind again and stopped.
"I know you two wanna help me but that's only because you guys can't accept the truth. I'm a murderer, and I'm going to hell plain and simple." Jason said
"You're not listening to us." Maria said
"We know who the killer is. All we gotta do is find him." Sookie said
"Andy." Jason said
"Just listen to us. Don't be stupid." Sookie said
"Don't do this." Maria said
"ANDY!" Jason yelled
Andy arriving.
"What's your problem?" Andy asked Jason
"Make them go away." Jason said
"Am I your fucking butler?" Andy asked Jason
"Jason, please." Maria said
"Please, just get them out of here." Jason said
"All right, you girls heard him. Zoo's closed." Andy said
Andy dragged both Sookie and her sister out of there.
"Did you get the fax from the Bunkie police about Drew Marshall the man who's probably the real killer?" Sookie asked Andy
"Never heard of no fax from no Bunkie P.D. or Drew whoever but I'll tell you one thing. (They stopped in the hallway.) The real killer is right there where he belongs." Andy said
"You son of a bitch. I was right about you all along. You don't care about anyone but yourself. You still call yourself a cop. Right now you don't deserve to be one. It's just a matter of time before everyone knows it." Maria said
Maria and her sister leaves.
Merlotte's
Sam's office.
Maria and her sister comes in.
"We've got the lunch shift." Sookie said
"Coming here wouldn't be the best idea. With everything going on with Jason, I figured you'd two would take the day off." Sam said
"Distraction is what we need." Maria said
"We need the money that we can get to hire a private investigator. Drew Marshall is in town. Who knows how many times he's sat in one of these booths." Sookie said
"He knows about you. He probably knows what I am." Maria said
"Wouldn't you have heard him?" Sam asked Sookie
"Wouldn't you have smelled him?" Sookie asked Sam
Sam and Sookie looked at Maria.
"Don't look at me like that." Maria said
Maria is at the bar serving drinks. She looked at everyone. She goes to the back, Sam follows her, and grabbed her arm to make her stop. Her eyes turned green. He hugged her.
"It's ok." Sam said
"No it's not. He won't stop until..." Maria said as Sam cuts her off
"I know. I know. (Maria calmed down. Sam stopped hugging her.) Tell you what. You shift into your tiger form and just go on home. Ok?" Sam said
"What about the customers? What about Sookie? And the killer?" Maria asked Sam
"I'll take care of it. Position and making sure Sookie gets home. The killer I still can't smell him here." Sam said
Stackhouse Residence.
Maria is cleaning the living room. Sookie and Renè come in.
"Hey, Maria." Renè said
"Hey, Renè." Maria said
"It's hotter in here than hell." Renè said
"Yeah. Gran used to leave the windows open all day. Right now we're not doing that." Maria said
"Have a seat. I'll fix us some iced teas." Sookie said
"Sounds good. (Renè looked at the shotgun hanging on the wall on top of the fireplace.) Nice gun." Renè said
"It's was our grandpa's." Maria said
Maria got hit by something so hard that she passed out.
Sam shaking Maria. She woke up groaning and bleeding.
"What happened?" Sam asked Maria
"I got hit by something hard. (Sam helped Maria up.) Oh my god. Sookie." Maria said
"Renè did it or Drew Marshall. Whatever the hell he goes by." Sam said
Maria and Sam sees Rene's belt and blood on the floor.
"We gotta go." Maria said
"I'll go. You stay." Sam said
Maria saw Sam ran outside and head to the woods.
"Screw this." Maria said
Cemetery.
Renè begins to strangle Sookie. Sam comes and bites Renè. Renè beats him up. Sam transform back into his human form. Renè continues to beat him. Maria appeared behind him and transform back into her human form naked. She still has her claws.
"Hey! (Renè turned around.) You've fucked with the wrong family asshole." Maria said
Maria slit Renè's throat with her claws. He hold his own throat.
"What the fuck?" Renè said
Renè fell down and gargling blood. He is dead. Sam and Sookie get up.
"Give me the shovel. (Maria gets the shovel and hands it to Sam.) Cover your tracks." Sam said
Sam aimed the shovel at Renè's neck and decapitate him.
"Bill." Sookie said
They ran towards Bill and sees him on the ground, burning.
"I am sorry." Bill apologize
Sookie was crying.
"No. No, Bill, please." Sookie said
"We gotta get him out of the light." Sam said
Sam carries Bill and gently dropped him in a hole. He buries him.
Night time.
Sookie is on the sofa. She wakes up.
"Sookie?" Tara said
"Tara. You look so pretty. Like someone turned a light on under your skin." Sookie said
"Hospital gave her pain meds. She's a little loopy." Sam said
"Didn't you listen when I said I'd lose my shit if anything ever happened to you or Maria?" Tara asked Sookie
"Don't loose your shit. We're fine. Saving my life. Sam turned into a dog and bit Rene. Maria is a weretiger who slit his throat." Sookie said
"Oh, shit. I'm gonna need some of them drugs they gave you." Lafayette said
"Its been a fucked up day." Maria said
"We should let her rest." Sam said
"Sam...you need to let people see the real you because you're kind and brave. There's nothing there not to love." Sookie said
"Right back at you." Sam said
"Maria you've been fighting for what you've believe in." Sookie said
Arlene comes in with flowers. She was starting to feel guilty and was crying. Sam, Lafayette, and Tara walked out. Arlene gave the flowers too Maria and she goes to the kitchen to put the flowers in the pot. She sees Eric at the back door. She opens the door and closed it behind her. He felt guilty. He touched the side of her head gently. She groans.
"What happened?" Eric asked Maria
"Guess I'm always the sucker. We've got the murder. Not caught. Killed. I slit his throat. Then Sam took care of my tracks." Maria said
"I thought you didn't want to kill a human?" Eric said
"Only if that person almost killed my family." Maria said
"I should've been there today." Eric said
"You didn't have too." Maria said
"If anything happened to you..." Eric said as Maria cuts him off
"I know. (Eric bites his own wrist. Maria drinks from his wrist and the side of her head was healing. She stopped drinking his blood. Blood runs on her chin. She smiles and started kissing him. They disappeared. Appeared in the forest. He pinned her on a tree and they started to make out. They stopped kissing. He wiped her hair off of her neck.) Its been a year. I want you to do it now." Maria said
"Are you sure?" Eric asked Maria
"I'm fine with it." Maria said
Eric sinks his teeth in Maria's neck and started drinking her blood. She started moaning.
Two weeks later.
Merlotte's.
Sam, Maria, Sookie, Tara, Arlene, and Terry watching tv.
"Yesterday the Vermont supreme court ruled that limiting marriage between only human men and woman is unconstitutional effectively legalizing vampire marriage in the state. Courthouses still be staying open to accommodate hundreds of couples all over America." Tv reporter said
Sam turned off the tv.
Arlene, Sookie, and Maria smiled.
"Oh, my God, Sookie, you know what this means? Now you and Bill can get married." Arlene said
"Stop it, Arlene. This isn't Vermont. Besides, he hasn't asked me yet and I don't know what I'd say if he did." Sookie said
"I think you should marry Bill. Hell, I'll even throw you a party. It won't even break the bank. All you need is a couple kegs of Tru Blood, seeing as how they don't eat or drink. Bet there's even a vampire band and vampire wedding decorations. Out Arlene's party to shame." Sam said
Sookie goes.
"What about you and this mystery vampire?" Arlene asked Maria
"Arlene?" Tara said
"Tara it's ok. Me and Eric never been public before. Now everyone knows." Maria said
"He's not using you for sex is he?" Tara asked Maria
"No. It's complicated." Maria said
Maria walked away.
Night time.
Jason's house.
Living room.
"You were in a church conference? I'm proud of you bro." Maria said
"Yea. Do some good for me. I just needed a change for my life." Jason said
Jason gives his sister a beer. He was drinking his beer.
"I killed Renè." Maria said
Jason stopped drinking his beer.
"You decapitated him?" Jason asked his sister
"It's a lot more complicated then that. Remember Gran told you I was yours and Sookies half sister? Mom had an affair with my dad?" Maria asked her brother
"Yeah. But what's this got to do with Renè? I mean Drew Marshall?" Jason asked his sister
"I have to show you something. Something that Sookie knows in this family." Maria said
Maria turns her eyes green and transform her nails into claws. His eyes widen.
"Holy shit. What are you?" Jason asked his sister
Maria eyes and nails were back to normal.
"I'm a weretiger." Maria said
"Like a werewolf?" Jason asked his sister
"I'm not a werewolf. There's three were species. Weretiger meaning me, werewolves, and werepanthers.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Jason asked his sister
"With everything's been going on. I figured it would be the time to tell you. Weres and vampires can't be together. I'm dating one. Sam knows also. So did Gran. You're my brother and I wanted you to know. You accepted Sookie as a telepath." Maria said
"Maria you're my sister, ok? I'm not gonna tell anyone else." Jason said
