"Ugh blood drives," Angela shook her head in disgust as she passed the posters by her brothers side.
"You know we can't give,"
"As always,"
"What about you Pete?,"
"Got to fam tradition, yo I'll see you guys later gonna go catch up with Chloe," Pete shouted as he took off to the Torch office when they saw Chloe hunched over a computer.
"I gotta get to class I'll see you in Lit class bro," Angela said taking off to science.
A half an hour later Angela plopped down into the seat beside Clark in Lit class.
"How was Science?,"
"Same old," Angela replied as she yanked out her cell to quickly text Lex before class started.
"Is she still going to be around was hoping to have a quiet evening together?," Angela asked hoping his loser ex would be gone soon.
"Unfortunately she will be around Angel for a few weeks at least til we take care of our fathers,"
"Fine, won't be home tonight will just stay at the farm tell me when she's gone," Angela texted back upset as she shut her phone off so she didn't have to read his response.
"You ok sis?," Clark asked his sister concerned at her sullen demeanor.
"Ya peachy will be staying at the farm tonight,"
"Ok sis I'm here if you need me,"
"I know," Angela replied before focusing on her lesson of the day.
As class wrapped up a half an hour later they began packing their bags to leave. Angela was upset she wouldn't be going home to the mansion, especially after telling Lex about herself the previous night.
Making their way out of the school Angela was stopped shocked at Lex standing in front of the school with a dozen red roses in his hands.
"I know your upset, when you turn your phone off I know you want space but this topic won't be the reason I lose you. I love you Angela Kent I will always love you. She means nothing to me she is just business you though your my everything. Your the reason i believe in love again, the reason I'm happy again, the reason I stayed. So I ask you Angela Kent will you forgive me and come home tonight with me?," Lex asked sincerely as he held the roses out to Angela.
Finding herself speechless she nodded her head as she took the roses and moved closer to Lex as he pulled her into his embrace, as well as a loving kiss.
Lex smiled as he took the Audi car keys out her jacket pocket and tossed them to Clark, who knew what Lex wanted him to do as he took Angela into the Porsche.
"You really know how to surprise a girl,"
"Your the love of my life of course I do,"
"Romantic," Angela giggled as they pulled up the their mansion.
As they entered the mansion Angela's good mood was ruined as Victoria appeared at the top of the stairs.
"Oh Lex your home, I wasn't expecting you back so soon I was just going to grab a bath before our meeting in the living room,"
"I don't care what you were going to do," Lex said as he wrapped a arm around Angela's waist and pulled her close to him so she couldn't run lke he knew she would.
"Fine," Victoria exclaimed as she stomped off to the room she was staying in as Lex shook his head at her antics.
"I hate her," as Angela made that statement Lex burst out laughing.
"I know love soon everything will be done and she will be gone,"
"Ok Lex," Angela replied as she kissed him and they headed into the kitchen.
"Hey Rose,"
"Good evening Angela, wise boy you did right," Rose said seeing the roses in Angela's hands.
"I learned my lesson,"
"Of course you did after i whacked you with the ladle," as Rose said that Angela burst out laughing.
"You didn't,"
"Of course I did," Rose replied.
"Oh god I can't believe I missed that," Angela said through her laughter.
"Hush you," Lex smirked as he pulled Angela into his arms and kissed her forehead.
Later that evening Angela sat in front of her vanity brushing her hair as Lex was down stairs dealing with Victoria. Pulling her hair up into a bun she stood slipping her robe off laying it on the bed as she made her way in to slip into a bubble bath in their Jacuzzi bath.
Clark had arrived a few minutes prior and was downstairs enjoying some of Rose's dinner that she had saved for him as he waited for his sister.
Leaning back in the tub Angela moaned in contempt as she finally relaxed from her recent stress. What she wasn't expecting was the sudden hand gripping her throat shoving her under the water.
Luckily before it could push her under the water she was able to let out a short small scream that she knew Clark would hear.
Pushing at the hand at her throat she thanked god as she saw Clark enter the room and yank the assailant off her although they were invisible.
Lex had followed Clark as he saw his brother running down the hall to the stairs upstairs. As he entered the bedroom he was stunned as he watched Clark yank something off his girl. Rushing forward Lex pulled Angela out of the water grabbing the towel from the wall beside the tub and wrapping it around her.
"What the hell is going on!," came Victoria's shrill voice from the doorway.
"Clark get her out of here," Lex asked as he embraced Angela closer to him.
"Le..Lex," Angela silently spoke.
"Hush now Angel let's get you in our bed and warmed up," Lex said picking her up and taking her to their bed.
Lex had chosen to go to bed the previous night with Angela, and made the decision to have Victoria leave and stay at the motel in the town. He knew she wasn't liked the tension between Angela and her, and the fact his servant Amy 'accidentally' split drinks on her the afternoon before when they were playing pool while discussing business.
To say she was angry was a understatement but he was doing this for Angela, and after last night she needed the less stress she can receive.
Lex sat on the couch in the study with his head tilted back on the couch to ease the migraine Victoria had given him when he felt a sudden pressure on his legs. he was surprised as he looked up to see Angela sitting down with him.
"How are you feeling love?,"
"Sore, I heard,"
"I did it for you our business had come mostly to a end anyways, and after last night you come first," Lex replied wrapping his arms around her as she laid against him.
"By the Lex have you seen my watch? the one you gave me of the Napoleonic franc as the time face,"
"No I haven't why?,"
"It wasn't where I put it yesterday,"
"I will have Rose ask the servants about it,"
"Thank you love," Angela said smiling as she kissed his lips. Together they decided to spend the day snuggling on the couch.
Unfortunately their day was cut short as the doors swung open to reveal none other then Lionel Luthor.
"Well son what's this I hear about you having Victoria Hardwick as a guest in the mansion?,"
"Was, being the opted for term. I sent her to the motel a couple of hours ago she was stressing my girlfriend out after a incident that occurred last night," Lex answered as he slipped Angela's sleeping form off his lap and onto the couch.
"Incident? Girlfriend?,"
"Yes Angela Kent and she was almost killed last night,"
"Well anyways, I want this business with Hardwick cancelled right away,"
"It's not your business father, what i do is my business,"
"We'll see about that," with that said Lionel Luthor left in a furry at his son's rebellious nature on the topic.
"Well he sounded right happy," Angela mumbled from the couch.
"Ya let's just hope he doesn't do anything drastic," Lex replied worriedly.
A few hours later Clark stopped by the mansion to drop off Angela's homework from school that day. He smiled though when he saw her looking much better then the day before.
"Oh hey Lex,"
"Yes Clark?,"
"Amy Palmer told us that she saw that Hardwick lady going through your files so you know,"
"Thank you Clark, I already knew but I appreciate the concern," Lex said as he gestured for Clark to sit down.
"She has a crush on you also, Amy is obsessed bad,"
"Teenage crush that's all,"
"I don't think so Lex the day sis was attacked the person stepped on glass in the bathroom, Chloe is running their blood sample,"
"Let us know Clark," Angela spoke curious as to who attacked her.
"I will sis, well I better get home evening chores to do,"
"Bye Clark thank you,"
"Your welcome Lex, bye sis, see you guys tomorrow," with that Clark left the mansion as Lex held Angela closely at the remembrance of yesterday.
The next day
Lex and Angela entered the beanery holding hands as they spoke about what to do about Lionel being in town. As they noticed Clark Angela gave Lex a small kiss as he went to order their stuff, and she joined her brother.
"How's it going?,"
"Good, Chloe found out the substance with the blood is some sort of vanishing cream, and the blood sample unfortunately came from Amy's brother,"
"Wow so Jeff tried to kill me, but why,"
"I would like to know that too," Lex said as he laid the tray with their orders on the table in front of them.
"Hey guys," came the unexpected voice of Amy Palmer before Clark could respond.
"Miss Palmer," Lex replied as the others replied with just hey.
"Well i'm just gonna go," Amy could sense the tension with her around and swiftly left.
"She's wearing your watch sis,"
"That little thief," Angela said angrily.
"Let's head home see what else she has,"
"Yes Lex good idea," Angela replied as she snatched her triple chocolate muffin off the table to eat on the way home.
"Bye Clark,"
"See you sis," he responded as they headed home.
The mansion
"I feel bad about having to go through someone's things but if they're a thief I know it's needed to be done,"
"Your right Angel, but if she really has you watch I don't want her ending up with any more of your belongings,"
"I know...wow," Angela said as she opened one of Amy's closet doors to a shocking shrine.
"This is disturbing,"
"Told you wasn't just a crush," Angela said as she examined everything that was used in the shrine.
"Well found your matching watch," as Angela handed Lex back his watch she could see he was angry at the invasion of privacy.
"Go on upstairs love I'm going to handle this,"
"Ok Lex I'll see what Rose has cooking," Angela replied as she headed upstairs.
As Lex made his way through the castle he was angry and disappointed in his staff. He had come to the conclusion of allowing the Palmers to leave without any action taken as long as Amy received help which he would pay for.
"Mr Luthor sir," came the stuttered voice of the woman he stumbled upon finally in the garden.
"Mrs Palmer, your daughter Amy has a unhealthy obsession with me. With that said I will not take action for her stealing mine and my girlfriend's watches so long as she returns Angela's watch, and receives treatment which I will pay for. The sad side of this is I must ask your family to vacate the property as I can not trust it not to happen again," Lex replied.
He could see the disappointment in her face but agreed to be moved out by tonight. Turning he headed back into the house satisfied with the arrangement, now to handle his father.
"Mmm what's that smell?,"
"Rose made us veal parmeson with homemade garlic bread for dinner,"
"God she spoils us," Lex laughed as he and Angela headed into the den to wait for dinner to finish cooking.
"So what did you do about the Palmers?,"
"I asked them to leave tonight, told them wouldn't take action so long as Amy received treatment which I would fund,"
"It's sad this whole situation,"
"It is love but she is a risk around us one I won't have around you," as Lex said that Angela smiled leaning over laying a passionate but tender kiss on his lips.
"Dinner kids, I'm headed home,"
"Thank you Rose," they said together making Rose crack up in laughter.
"Goodnight Lex and Angela,"
"Night Rose,"
"Good night Rose," as they said farewell they began to enjoy their home cooked dinner.
As Angela took the dinner dishes into the kitchen she dropped a glass in shock as she heard struggling coming from the den she had just left.
Rushing back Angela was pissed to see Lex being attacked. Suddenly without warning she feels a pressure behind her head as she is knocked out.
Coming to Angela moaned in pain as she noticed herself and Lex tied to chairs in the middle of the den.
"Angel are you ok?,"
"My head Lex,"
"I know love hold on ok,"
"Shut up!," yelled Jeff as he backhanded Lex across the face.
"Stop it, why are you doing this Jeff? Me and Clark were only ever nice to you,"
"A while back I found a green rose, i've always had a interest in flowers so I studied it and with it found I could make a lotion to make myself invisible,"
"Why would you hurt me and Lex though?,"
"For my sister of course, you were in the way of her being with Lex so I had to try to eliminate the problem,"
"He never would have loved her he only loves me, as I do him," Angela said as Lex tried to find them a way out as she distracted Jeff.
Luckily he didn't have to though for Clark knew his sister was in trouble, and had arrived just in time to save them as always. As he went to attack any spot he thought Jeff was standing Jeff threw him off balance as he feels a hand around his throat.
Taking the opportunity Clark saw he threw Jeff into the scaffold where Lex had been having men repaint the upstairs library. As Jeff hit it the cans of paint fell from the top and revealed him to them.
Untying his sister first Clark quickly used the rope to tie Jeff up to the banister. Going back he quickly untied Lex before checking on his sister again.
"How are you feeling sis?,"
"Sore, my head hurts,"
"I've just called for the police and a ambulance, he needs serious help," Lex said as he walked up to Angela and Clark as he was closing his cell phone.
"Love let's get you on the couch just don't lay down or close your eyes ok,"
"Ok Lex," Angela said as she took Clark and Lex's offered hands as they helped her to the couch.
A hour later after the cops and the paramedics left Angela made her way upstairs to the bedroom as Clark and Lex cleaned up downstairs. Sitting on the bed Angela couldn't help but think 'Is this going to always happen? Will the meteor affected people always attack us'. As Angela thought about it she laid down on the bed and closed her eyes falling into a gentle and uneasy sleep.
