Angels POV
I heard the doorbell ring as I was finishing up my hair. I put down the straightener and started walking down the stairs. It had been almost an hour since Rick left for Kates and I was by myself the whole time, and with Lilly over at her grandparents house I didn't really have anyone to hang with. Yeah there were video games or one of my other friends or even Humphrey. But I had a boyfriend now, a boyfriend that I had been crushing on since what felt like years. Not sure what the plan was when we went out but I knew Shaky would be there and that's all I cared about.
The doorbell rang again as I reached the bottom of the steps. He's impatient, I see. Not surprising from a person with OCD. I reached the door and unlocked it before pulling it open. I smirked as I saw Shaky holding his finger to the doorbell as he was about to press it again. But he froze in his position once the door opened and chuckled nervously.
"Hey" he said. It was freezing outside so I wanted him to come in while I finished up. I motioned for him to come in and stepped to the side as he did. I shut the door and gave him a kiss on the lips, he hugged me and happily accepted.
"Hi" I said back as I looked up to him.
"Hey" he said for a second time. I laughed and hit his arm playfully. I then broke the hug and walked into the living room.
"I was just finishing up getting ready so if you want to sit for a second then go for it. Are you thirsty or anything?" I asked.
"No, I'm fine," Shaky said as he shook his head. His hands were in his pockets with both of his thumbs hanging out. Was he nervous?
"Sit," I said with a smile. Shaky laughed as he did what I said. I then ran up the stairs and cleaned up the bathroom as fast as I could. Picking up the straightener and eye liner. I then tossed it in my room, sprayed some perfume and ran back down the steps. Shaky was on his phone as he laid back into the couch. He looked up and eyed me as I started walking over to the couch.
"So what is it that you wanted to do?" Shaky asked as he sat up.
"Well it's not about what I want, let's throw out some ideas and come up with something together. It is cold though so let's do something inside?" I suggested. Shaky nodded as he looked down for a moment in thought. Suddenly Shaky lifted his head back up, I did the same as we made eye contact.
"Okay… so i know it's cliche but… it is christmas time and normally the mall starts setting up all of its christmas things like their light show and such" Shaky said.
"Okay" I said as I stood up.
"Wait really? It's not too shabby?" Shaky asked.
"Shaky. I just want to be with you, I'm not some prissy bitch that expects the world. So come on" i said with a wave and a smile. Shaky smiled back and stood up. He then followed me outside and walked to his car as I locked up. I then ran over and hopped in as he started it up.
"How high do you want the heat?" Shaky asked with his hand on the nob.
"For now… high," I said. Shaky snickered and put it on high. He then drove around the driveway and out onto the main road.
"Are you sure you don't want to do anything else?" Shaky asked. I looked over to him and smiled.
"Oh, are you really that worried about it? You shouldn't but it's so cute. I love you Shakes" I said as I rubbed his arm. Shaky stopped the car as he approached a red light and turned to me.
"You really love me?" he asked smugly.
"For a long, long time," I said. Shaky then leaned over the cup holder.
"Then stop calling me Shakes" he whispered. I leaned over as well, closing in on his face.
"Never" I whispered back. We both laughed lightly before kissing. The light then turned green which made Shaky break the kiss in a panic and start driving again. This was gonna be a fun day.
When we got to the mall and parked, I hopped out and waited for Shaky by the trunk of his car. Shaky eventually stepped out and met me. It was so cold out we could both see our breath as we breathed. I really should have worn gloves because I could feel the blood in my hands freezing. There was a solution though. Shaky held out his hand to me. I smiled as I gladly took his hand. We then made our way to the mall's front entrance. We didn't even have to go in to hear their christmas music playing thanks to the speaker they had outside blasting the shit. I loved the feeling of Christmas time, always have. The music, the lights, the moments. Now I could have way more moments now that I had Shaky by my side.
Shaky held the door open for me with his free hand. I thanked him as I walked him inside to the next set of glass doors. This time I held the door with my free hand. Shaky copied what I did and thanked me. We both stepped inside and were immediately hit with the warm heat that the mall had. Looking around we saw Christmas lights and decorations. It felt like it had just been thanksgiving. Hell it felt like it had just been halloween, and now we're here. Me and Shaky looked at each other for a moment. I nuzzled him real quick and then proceeded deeper into the mall.
"Any stores you wanted to go to?" Shaky asked me.
"No, I just wanted to come see the lights and stuff" I answered. Shaky chuckled as he took me over to the giant fountain they had in the center of the mall. During this time of the year they always had double the lights and decorations. They also had seats around it so that people could have a place to hang out.
We got there and took a seat to enjoy the show. As the water shot out of the fountain I felt Shaky's tail brush against mine. He looked over to me quickly.
"Sorry" he said. I smiled as I purposely brushed mine over his. Shaky looked back over to me and smiled as I smiled back.
"I love you, Shaky," I said.
"I love you too Angie" Shaky said back. We then leaned in for a quick kiss. It was short but sweet. Afterwards I rested my head on his shoulder as we watched the light show. It was beautiful and I enjoyed every second of it. As we sat, Shaky took my hand again. I held it lovingly as our tails did the same. They were intertwined lovingly as they poked through the bottom of the bench. I could smell Shaky's cologne the whole time. I could tell it was expensive. Like the shit Rick buys. Not like Humphrey and his axe body spray, yeah it smelled nice but it didn't compare. The show ended about ten minutes later and it would be another five until it started again. We could have sat for another round but there was no point. I sat up before getting to my feet. Shaky stood up as well.
"Hungry?" he asked.
"Sure," I said. He held out his hand again which I accepted and we made our way to the food court. We stood by each other while we ordered our food unlike when me and Lilly came. Lilly went to the sushi place while I went to salad works and we ended up meeting each other at a table. I didn't mind but with Shaky, I didn't want to leave him. He wanted to get my food first so we went to the small chick-fil-a and I got an order of chicken strips. Basic i know but it was what i wanted. We then went over to a chinese restaurant and Shaky ended up ordering orange chicken with noodles. He paid and we found a table in the middle of the food court.
"All good?" he asked after I sat down. I nodded as I took a sip of soda.
"So Shaky. Be honest. How long have you liked me for?" I asked. He seemed to pause as he thought of an answer.
"Well…" Shaky started as he stirred his noodles around with his fork. Whatever the answer is, it must be making him nervous. "I'd say around last year I started having feelings for you, yeah we hung out when me and Rick met up, and when he introduced you to me you were what?... twelve? I didn't think of you in a dating way. But once you get older and we spend more and more time together… I sorta… caught feelings. Yeah we never spent time together by ourselves but…" he stopped talking.
"But?..." I pushed.
"I always thought you would reject me. I've had girlfriends before, and a couple of them. Yes, I had feelings for them at the time but you… they didn't have the history or cuteness as you do" Shaky explained.
"Cuteness?" I asked.
"And humor," Shaky added. I laughed as Shaky took a bite of his noodles. "What about you?" Shaky asked as he wiped his mouth.
"Uh… freshman year. I thought you were hot. I mean, going from middle school to high school you changed a lot," I explained.
"What was wrong with me in middle school?" Shaky asked.
"You. were. A fuckin. Nerd" I said before we both busted out laughing.
"Was it the glasses?" Shaky asked,
"Partly, you're no Jeff Goldblum" I said.
"Oh so I'm not comparable to Jeff Goldblum huh?" he asked with a smile.
"No… you're not. You're better," I said. It was silent for a moment. "At least without the glasses," I joked. Shaky laughed again as he went for a sip of his soda. As he sipped he looked up.
"Hm" he hummed.
"What?" I asked. Shaky put his soda down on the table and pointed at the large window behind me.
"Look," he said. I turned around to see that it was snowing. It was actually snowing pretty damn hard too.
"Comin down pretty hard," I commented. Shaky started boxing up his food.
"Yeah, maybe I should get you home before the roads get bad," Shaky said. This saddened me, we had just started our first date and because of the weather we had to cut it extremely short. Shaky was right though. I didn't want either of us to get hurt or stuck in this. So I bagged up my food and stood up. We both made our way to the exit that led to the parking lot that Shaky's car was in. as we walked outside Shaky laughed as he spread his arms out. "Look at it all," he said.
"It's beautiful," I said. Shaky then grabbed me gently and pulled me into a hug. Our noses were touching as snow fell heavily on top of us.
"You beautiful" he complimented. I gave him a kiss. This one was slower and more… romantic. As corny as it sounds, kissing with my lover in the middle of a snow storm was a cliche that I desperately wanted to experience. The coldness of the weather and the snow made licking at his warm tongue all the more enjoyable. We did end up breaking the kiss after about twenty seconds. It felt longer than that though not because it was a drag but because it felt as though time itself stopped. Our noses were just inches apart now that this kiss was broken. I looked up to see that snow was sticking to Shaky's hair and jacket as it continued to fall around us.
"You're not bad yourself," I said. Shaky laughed and gave me another smooch before walking me to his car. We hopped in and he turned the car, heat, and windshield wipers on.
"Listen Angie… i'm sorry we had to cut this short," Shaky said.
"It's not your fault, plus you can stay at my house if you want. I don't want you driving in this anymore than you need to" I said. Shaky rubbed my arm.
"Thanks Angie," he said. Afterwards he put the car in reverse and backed out of the parking spot. We were then on our way home. On the way Rick ended up texting me telling me I should get home. I told him I was and that he shouldn't worry. The texts went on for a bit. Eventually I told him that I would text him when I'm home and left it at that. I hit send and put my phone back in my pocket.
We arrived back at my place shortly after. Shaky parked in the back of my U shaped driveway that led around the house. He turned the car off and turned to me.
"Are you sure your parents will be okay with me coming in?" he asked.
"Yeah. trust me they won't care. Plus my mom loves you," I said. Shaky laughed as he unbuckled his seat belt. He then stepped out and followed me over to the front door. I unlocked it and stepped inside. Shaky followed me in and shut the door behind us. He locked the door and followed me into the living room where we sat on the couch. I took my shoes off and put my feet up on the ottoman. Shaky did the same and sat next to me. I messaged Rick that I was home real quick and went to put the phone in my pocket but he messaged back instantly saying that he was glad I came home and to let Shaky stay. I then thought of something to mess with him. I told him that I already let him and implied that things might get warmer. With that i finally put the phone back in my pocket. "Want to watch something?" I asked.
"Sure," Shaky answered. I stood up and grabbed the remote from where I tossed it earlier and took my jacket off before sitting back down. "Oh my god" Shaky said, making me stop.
"What?" I asked concerned.
"I never saw you without that jean jacket i thought it was part of you" Shaky said as i smacked his leg playfully half way through him talking. We laughed as I sat down and cuddled up against him. His fur and clothes were a little cold and wet from the outside.
"Cold?" I asked.
"I'm fine," he said. I knew he was lying. He didn't want to be impolite.
"Well… i am cold" i said, trying to make it an excuse to warm him up. I grabbed the blanket that we kept on the couch and put it over us. Shaky tucked himself in making sure that his feet and shoulders were under the blanket.
"Thanks," Shaky said. I hummed as I looked into his eyes.
"No problem" I said softly with a small smile. I gave him a quick kiss and looked into his eyes again. I give him another kiss. Then he lifted his head and we started making out. Both of our tongues wrestled with each other. I moaned lightly into the kiss as I crawled on top of him. I could feel him start to grow as my rear sat on his pelvis. I held both of his cheeks with both hands as he gripped at my back. I felt so… in love. Maybe this is what Lilly was talking about. We continued making out and warming each other up. Eventually I broke the kiss, both of us panting heavily as we held each other close.
"Want to finish our food?" Shaky asked. He went back to panting heavily as I did the same. I gave him another deep kiss. After I broke it with a loud smooch we panted again.
"Sure," I said. I got off of him and went by the front door where we left our food. Shaky didn't follow me. He instead just snuggled into the blanket and looked for something for us to watch while we ate. I handed Shaky his food and sat down as i started to sort out mine. He was gonna pick the conjuring to watch but i had seen it just recently seen it at the drive-in. So he ended up putting on the second one. As the movie started it zoomed out of the window of the amityville house. The iconic line was then said by Very Farmiga. "After everything we've seen. There isn't much that rattles either of us anymore… but this one. This one still haunts us" the location of amityville new york popped up in the bottom of the screen in its yellow typewriter text. This reminded me that if Shaky wanted to watch a horror movie I could have totally gone to Rick's room to grab a couple. He has all the amityville movies, saw movies, slashers, everything. Wed have to binge something with everyone some night. Shaky and I continued to watch the movie as we finished our food.
After we were done eating we just cuddled under the blanket and watched the movie. About an hour and a half in, I felt my phone vibrate. I pulled it out to see that it was Rick finally messaging me back. It was only one word in caps. BEHAVE it read. I laughed as I showed Shaky the text. He snickered. I tossed the phone to the side and turned back to Shaky.
"Fuck him" i said. Shaky laughed again as he pulled me into another deep kiss. This time though i pulled him on top of me. Our tongues licked wildly as I relaxed into the couch. I rubbed at Shaky's back as he rubbed at my cheeks. I then lowered my right hand to his tail and pressed him into me. He broke the kiss and chuckled. I did the same as we went to kiss again. I put my right leg around him as I pulled my right hand back up and lowered my left. We broke the kiss for a moment to take a breath and then went right back in. This is what I wanted. I felt Shaky growing again so I moved my hand up to his back again as I rubbed it. I was so into the moment, I think we both were. Thanks to Lilly I knew exactly what to do and how to do it as well as tricks. We broke the kiss again and panted.
"Wow… am I the first boy you've kissed?" Shaky asked. I nodded slowly with a smile. "I've kissed some girls in my time but none of them were as good as you" he complimented.
"You don't plan on adding me to your list of exes do you?" I asked. Shaky leaned in close again and rubbed my cheek slowly. I closed my eyes and nuzzled into his hand.
"Never" he whispered as I opened my eyes back up. They were full of lust now. I could feel myself getting wet as he went in for another kiss. We breathed heavily through our noses as we sucked on each other desperately. This felt so great. All of a sudden we heard the front door open. We broke the kiss immediately, turning to the direction of the front door. We heard footsteps and talking as my parents stepped inside. Shaky quickly got off of me and wiped his mouth. We then went back to watching the movie like we weren't just making out.
"Hey guys" my mom said as she walked in.
"Hey mom" I said while Shaky simply waved. I could tell he was nervous as if he were gonna get caught somehow. "Watching a movie?" mom asked.
"Yeah, Rick hasnt come home yet. I don't know what he's going to do if the snow keeps falling like this," I said. Mom seemed to almost freeze for a split second when I mentioned Rick. she laughed nervously.
"Yeah… i dont think hes coming home tonight, me and your father picked up some pizza if you want any" mom said.
"Thanks, but we already ate," Shaky said.
"Okay, well you let me know if you two need anything" she said as she walked into the kitchen.
"Thanks mom" I called. Me and Shaky then looked at each other and laughed before cuddling up again. Eventually my dad walked in and just pointed at us with two fingers.
"You two dating? You only cuddle like that if you're dating" he said. We both chuckled.
"Yeah. we are," I said. If only he knew…
"Sick" he said before heading up the stairs. Me and Shaky laughed again as we finished up the movie. After it finished we started looking for another movie to watch. We ended up watching insidious but ended up falling asleep together as we cuddled under the warm blanket.
