Still in the fight

Disclaimer: I do not in anyway shape or form own Halo or Transformers Prime. They belong to their respective owners, nor am I associated with them. This is a non-profit fan work written solely for the purpose of entertainment.

Like before, I'm going to be answering your comments first so here they are.

edboy429- I'm glad that you thought that the chapter was good. Thanks for your thoughts on my potential story ideas. The idea came to me when I didn't find any Lara joins Trinity fanfics so I thought I could create one of my own in the future..

Flamesis- Maybe I will do a Doom crossover in the future, not saying for sure I will for sure, but maybe. Anyways, thanks for your thoughts on my Planet of the apes and Halo crossover idea.

Doom Slayer 091- Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe I'll consider doing it in the future.

Doom Slayer 091-Your idea sounds pretty good.

MarauderPrime12- Thank you very much kind sir. I hope you enjoy this one.

Austin- While I never saw RWBY, I agree that the Master Chief, Doom Slayer, Samus, and even Isaac Clark battling together would be awesome. I doubt anything can survive if they were to ever able to form a team.

-As for the Doom and Halo xover, I have read 'Universal Doom' and 'Of Demons and Slayers' by Impulsive Weaver. Pretty awesome stories.

-Thanks for the suggestion about Goblin Slayer, I may check it out if I have the time.

-That will be the main weapon against the Justice league in my Titanfall and Young Justice crossover idea, lawsuits.

-My Halo and RvB crossover idea will take place in the same universe. The reason why the OC has sociopathic tendencies is because of some horrific memories of some very traumatic events during the Human-Covenant war.

-In the POTA and Halo crossover, Noble Six will probably show up in the years when the Simian flu wiped out most of humanity. One of my ideas is that he helps to lead the Alpha-Omega army and other remaining world military remnants and survivors to fight against the apes alongside Woody Harrelson's character, maybe even help find a cure that helps to prevent the human race from losing their ability to speak. Though I haven't finished thinking on the idea yet.

I have a couple more ideas if you guys want to hear them. Like with the previous ones, I may or may not do them in the future. Also, these ideas are still work in progresses. I did not have the opportunity to think more on them yet.

-Dead space/Transformers prime crossover: The Markers have spread throughout many different realities. Converting many of the local civilizations into necromorphs in their quest to be made whole. As one Marker moves to a new dimension to achieve convergence with the human population, it is pursued by one of the few things the Markers fear, an engineer that was previously stationed on board the ship breaking vessel, U.S.G Ishimura. (In this story, the main character travelled with Isaac Clark throughout the games.)

Another concept I had for this story was that the cybertronians and humans were transported to the Dead space universe. Where Mankind is fighting a desperate war for its survival against the Brethren moons and Markers.

-SCP/Stalker crossover: A newly formed Foundation mobile task force gets sent into the Chernobyl exclusion zone to observe, study, and contain the various anomalies and mutants that spawn out of it. (I'm still deciding on whether or not it should be an MTF or a Chaos Insurgency task force.)

-Halo/Jericho: It's been a few years ever since a former ODST officer found himself thrown back in time on an alternative Earth. Now, he must fight to survive in a world where a nuclear attack has wiped out twenty-three American cities. (This is a crossover with the tv show Jericho that aired in 2006.)

-Doom/Dead space: After being cast away by Samuel Hayden to prevent the Slayer from interfering with his plans, the Doom Slayer ends up on the U.S.G Ishimura. Where he teams up with Isaac Clark to put an end to the Marker threat and stop the convergence.

-Crysis/Halo: After getting severely injured in battle against the Covenant, a UNSC army ranger becomes the latest test subject for a new ONI weapons project. The Nanosuit program

So anyway, that is it for now. As always I hoped you enjoy this chapter and I hope you have a good day.

Now, without further adieu, onto the story!

Chapter 6: Sick mind

Spartan Maddox-B312 was currently practicing his combat skills with an M4 Carbine with an ACOG scope mounted on top and an underbarrel M203 grenade launcher attached to it at a newly established firing range in his base. He was currently familiarizing himself with all of the modern day firearms in this dimension's time period that he had in his possession. While it may have seemed pointless to some to practice on antique weaponry, at least compared to the weapons from his time such as the BR75 and M40 AR, he rather be familiar with modern day firearms just in case if he didn't have access to any of his own weapons.

Additionally, the Lieutenant always had an affinity for guns ever since his induction into the Spartan-three program. He always loved the feeling of holding a rifle in his hand and watching as the bullet hit his desired target as he pulled the trigger.

As of now, he had currently familiarized himself with the MP5A2, MP5K-PDW, FN P90, MK18, HK-416, Heckler & Koch G36c, M4A1, UMP 45, FN FAL, Colt 733, FN Scar 17, KSG, HK91A2, Benelli M4 shotgun, and M249 SAW Paratrooper. As for pistols, he had practiced with the Glock 19, Berretta 92FS, SIG-Sauer P226, Kimber Warrior, H&K USP, and FN Five-seven. Despite being more primitive compared to the firearms back in his own home dimension, Maddox still found them to be effective pieces of weaponry.

The Spartan set the weapon to semi-automatic as he fired single shots at the dummies down the firing range. Hitting them with precision accuracy as the bullets hit the metal targets that caused sparks on impact. After emptying the magazine, he began practicing on reloading the weapon. He pressed the mag release to eject the empty magazine before quickly putting in a fresh one and slapping the bolt release on the rifle. Currently his average time for reloading the M4A1 Carbine was 3.4 seconds.

Pretty slow compared to his average reload time for his other weapons such as the M40 Assault rifle, which was 2.2 seconds.

After about another half hour of practice, Six felt satisfied at the amount of training he had today as he flicked the safety on and removed the magazine from the rifle, as well as pull back on the charging handle to remove the bullet that was still in the chamber. Once he placed the rifle back on the nearest weapons rack and the ammo on the bench, he made his way back towards the command center in his new base. As he walked in, Jewel's hologram appeared on a pedestal on the main console, which he had upgraded with technology from this era, as well as from his own dimension.

"Anything new Jewel?" Six asked the artificial intelligence. When Jewel was not acquiring supplies, equipment, or weaponry for their use, she was monitoring the world for any signs of Decepticon activities or anything else of potential interest to them.

The UNSC AI smiled at her closest friend and spoke to answer his question.

"Big news actually, we have the location of the Decepticon warship."

Maddox was surprised as he raised an eyebrow at this. "I though their ship was shielded? How'd you get past it?"

"That's the thing, I didn't. I was conducting a general scan across various wavelengths when I came across their signature. Their vessel must be experiencing some kind of electromagnetic breach. And it looks like the Autobots know that too considering they just groundbridge there."

"Are they going to try and take it out?"

"Actually...no, I've been listening in on their comms and it looks like Optimus was infected by some kind of plague while they were investigating a crashed cybertronian vessel located in eastern China. Therefore, they're looking to see it they can find a cure for it on board the warship. Still, while they do that we can conduct an operation of our own."

"Well, he don't have the firepower to blow it out of the sky. If only we had a HAVOK nuke right now." Six thought out loud.

Jewel knew what he was talking about. A HAVOK nuke is one of the UNSC's most powerful ground-based explosive, a tactical nuke with a yield of thirty megatons that was the size of a lop-sized football. Pretty much the closest thing the UNSC had to a nuclear grenade. If they had one right now, they could slip it on board the Decepticon vessel via groundbridge and blow it right out of the sky once the Autobots acquired the formula, taking out their base of operations on Earth and eliminating a significant portion of their forces.

"But...this might be our chance to do some recon. Find and download Decepticon troop deployments, scientific information, weapon schematics. Maybe even get the cure for that virus as well. You up for it Jewel? "

Jewel let out a smile and a nod in agreement as Maddox began gearing up for the mission.

In a deserted corridor on the Decepticon ship, Nemesis, a small human sized groundbridge appeared which allowed Maddox-B312 to jump on board before the portal disappeared. He was armed with a shock rifle and a LAW mounted on his back as well as his disrupter pistol holstered on his right thigh. Maddox immediately began scanning his surroundings for any signs of Decepticons before moving into cover.

"Good, they don't know we're here." Jewel said as she began attempting to remotely access the ship's network. "If you can connect me to a terminal, it'll lower the chances of us getting caught while I'm sifting through their database."

Six flashed his light in acknowledgement as he began to walk down the corridor in search for a terminal. Being careful not to make too much noise to avoid drawing any attention and stay out of sight of the security cameras. Along the way, the Spartan occasionally activated his armor's cloaking module to avoid being seen whenever he encountered a few vehicons patrolling the hallways.

Pretty soon, the Spartan had spotted one that looked to be unoccupied. Using his grapple shot, he climbed on top of the console and extended his hand.

Jewel appeared on his palm and jumped into the alien system. The AI disappeared for a second before appearing on the terminal . She tilted her head as she accessed and began to began to bypass the console's security. "Huh, this is a bit different than what the Autobots use. Could be because they use human technology while the Decepticons don't. At least not here."

"Anything?" Maddox asked as he kept perimeter watch. Increasing the range of his motion tracker to alert him if anyone came in his direction. While Jewel had been researching on cybertronian technology and networks, she still wasn't too familiar with their systems yet. Luckily, the AI was no stranger in infiltrating unknown systems before, as she had done many times in the past with Covenant, Forerunner, and Banished technology.

"Give me a second...there! I'm in their network. Wow, there is quite a bit of info here. Science, technology, cybertronian medical procedures. I'm sure the lab coats back home would love to see this..."

Before Jewel could trail off, Maddox interrupted her and brought her back on track. "Download what you can but be careful. Don't want to set off the alarm."

The AI in question quickly shook her head before getting back on task. "Right, this terminal contains data on Decepticon communication channels and encryption. With it we should be able to intercept and decrypt their transmissions more easily. There is also a list of their patrol routes and established Energon mines. Give me a few minutes to create and download a few copies."

Maddox nodded as remained on alert for any hostiles. During this, he was also listening in on the Autobot's transmission. Apparently, they had to go into the mind of the Decepticon leader, Megatron, in order to find the cure. Luckily, he was heavily injured which allowed them to initiate what they called a 'Cortical psyche patch.' This device is what made entering Megatron's mind possible, as Bumblebee had already volunteered to do it and was currently trying to persuade the Decepticon leader to help.

"Uh...Six. Looks like the Autobots infiltration team might have some company."

A video feed of one of the Nemesis's security cameras popped up on Six's TACPAD, which was located on his left arm. The video showed three Decepticons making their way to what looked to be the med bay. Maddox recognized the three as Knockout, Starscream, and Soundwave from the pictures the Autobot's showed him when he and Jewel were learning about their history.

"At the rate they're going they're going arrive in the lab where Arcee and Bumblebee are in approximately five mikes." Maddox's partner warned.

"Well, looks like we're going to need to buy them more time." While Six may not consider the Autobots or their human companions as 'friends', they were allied with them. Therefore, he felt it was his obligation to assist them when they needed it.

Jewel nodded in agreement as she began looking through the warship's schematics to see what could be done. "There is a nearby fuel line that feeds Energon directly to the main engines. You thinking what I'm thinking?" Jewel asked with a smirk.

The Lieutenant nodded as he reached into his assault pack and pulled out a C-12 charge, tossing it up a few times for emphasis.

"Great minds really do think alike." The AI said with a grin.

A few corridors away from where Maddox and Jewel were, Starscream was informing Soundwave of their liege and the state he was in. Planting the seeds to make his case about how the only humane option was to grant Megatron mercy. Knockout would be the one to finalize it once he gave his medical opinion to Soundwave.

"Once we reach the med bay, Knockout will give you his full medical diagnosis on Megatron's current condition." Starscream said to Soundwave as they walked with Knockout. Soundwave said nothing, like he always did, as he followed them down the Nemesis's corridors.

While Starscream made no sign of it, he was feeling a bit nervous. Soundwave was completely devoted to Megatron and if he did not play his cards right, he could turn the surveillance officer from an ally to enemy. Which was not a good idea considering that Soundwave was the second best gladiator back in the pits of Kaon, only ever bested by Megatron which was the cause of his undying loyalty.

If everything went according to plan, Megatron would perish on this very day and Starscream would take his rightful place as ruler of the Decepticons and lead them into a new age of glory.

"Lord Starscream?" A voice called out over the intercom which filled the hallway, causing the three Decepticons to stop in their tracks.

"Yes...what is it?" Starscream replied with annoyance.

"Apologies my liege, but we got a problem. We've detected a breach in the Energon fuel line and the engine's are losing power. If it's not fixed soon we could drop out of the sky." The Vehicon said bluntly.

"What! Have did this happen!" Starscream exclaimed.

"We don't know at the moment Lord Starcream. The leak is not too far from your position."

The current leader of the Decepticons let out a sigh as he turned to face Soundwave," I apologize Soundwave, but it looks like we must postpone this debate. More urgent matters require our attention." Soundwave said to the Decepticon's Chief surveillance officer.

It looks like the former gladiator would get to live a bit longer.

Just after they had caused the distraction, Maddox and Jewel groundbridge back to their base. Jewel began to process the data they had recovered from the ship's servers while Maddox placed his weapons back onto the racks.

"So, what exactly did you manage to acquire?" Maddox asked his partner as they returned to their base.

"Quite a lot actually. I was able to acquire much information in their files, though I wasn't able to get all of it in the timeframe we had. Unfortunately, it will take some time to decrypt it as well as translate it from cybertronian to English."

"How's Prime? Did the cure they acquired work?"

"I'll check in with them." After disappearing for a few minutes, his friend appeared again and responded. "Looks like it did, I just called the base to see if anything new has come up, and after telling me want exactly happened, they informed me that Optimus has indeed recovered from the plague."

Six gave a nod in acknowledgement. A few moments of silence went by before he changed the subject.

"Any chance that the info we acquired can help us get back home?"

Jewel gave out a small sigh before she responded. "I don't know Six. But personally, I don't think so. Like Ratchet said, they had never experienced something like this before. I'll look through but I wouldn't count on it. "

While the Lieutenant was disappointed by this, he was not surprised. The Autobot's medic wasn't able to contribute much in their efforts, so it was unlikely that the Decepticons had information that could've help.

"Hey... don't worry Maddox. It may take a while but we'll get back" Jewel attempted to lighten up the mood.

"I know. It's just... there's still a lot of things back home that need fixing." Maddox said somberly.

Jewel gave her guardian a smile in understanding. After the Created conflict and the war against the Banished, the UNSC and UEG was left in a state of disarray. Not to mention the other species such as the Sangheili, or the Jiralhanae, who may have suffered the worst considering that Cortana destroyed their home planet, Dosiac.

Additionally, while Six wouldn't admit it, she could tell that he was thinking about John, the Master Chief. The two of them have been through a lot together such as the battle of Installation 04, the defense of Earth, the fight on the Ark, the conflict on Requiem, all the way to the Zeta Halo campaign. The two became akin to brothers during their endeavors and forged a bond that only those who've been through what they did could have. She could also see he was worried about the Weapon as well. Despite their short time together on Zeta Halo, she had proved her trustworthiness and gained the trust of him, Chief, Jewel, and what was left of the Infinity crew, including Lasky and Palmer.

Jewel could understand his concern as her mind started to wander over to their pilot friend, Fernando Esparza. Despite only being a civilian contractor that just worked on maintaining UNSC spacecraft such as Pelicans and Broadswords, in their eyes he was as much as a warfighter as anyone else. During the fight for Zeta Halo, he proved himself more than capable as he withstood torture from Escharum and was a pretty good pilot despite his limited training. She really enjoyed his more enthusiastic behavior once they defeated the Harbinger, after he got over his fear, self-doubt and guilt.

Before she could dwell on it any longer, Six spoke up again. "Let me know what you find." Was all he said before he began to perform maintenance on his armor. His mind clear of his previous thoughts as he started to work.

The artificial intelligence just let out a soft sigh as she began to work on the information that they acquired from the Decepticon vessel.

Hope you guys liked this chapter and I'll see you again next time.

Furthermore, did you guys hear that a Crysis 4 is in development. Didn't think we were ever going to get another game, so excited for it. Not to mention that newly released Star wars 1313 gameplay. What a bummer that it was cancelled. Really hope we can see some kind of return in the future.

Also, what are your thoughts on the Halo tv series coming out in March. Personally, I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. While I am interested in seeing what they'll do with t, I'm keeping my expectations low just in case if the show turns out to be a disaster. I really hope that is not the case because I really want this show to be good as I've wanted to see Halo on screen ever since Halo 2, which was my first Halo game that I played.

Remember...stay frosty gents.
