The next day found Angela, Lana, Clark, and Chloe riding horses in the forest. Angela loved it cause horses were her favourite animals and she was having fun after all she had been through.

"Having fun sis?,"

"Yup Clark, Lex was right this is relaxing,"

"Of course he was," Clark replied laughing at her statement.

"I don't get how your so good at it," Chloe said still struggling on her horse as she wasn't very good at it.

"Came naturally, maybe cause I've read so much on horses to know what to do," Angela said as she rode back to help Chloe.

"So where's Whitney?," Clark asked Lana making small talk.

"He is working alot more hours at the store, with his dad being sick it's understandable, but still sucks," Lana said sadly.

As they spoke Chloe accidently dropped her camera. As Clark noticed Angela waved him and Lana on signalling she would help her.

"You know I have a part on y wall of weird connected to this forest, it's said everything weird here is connected to a person named Kyle Tippet a sculpter who lives here in the woods,"

"I wonder what made him want to live out here by himself," Angela pondered curious about it.

"Who knows aha! got it," Chloe repled grabbing her camera from the bush and climbing her way back onto the horse.

As Angela turned to head forward to catch up to Lana and Clark she was stunned as she heard Lana cry out. Spurring the horse to gallop forward quickly Angela arrived just as the man known as Kyle Tippet escaped from Clark's hand.

They noticed as they finally settled down that Chloe's second camera she had installed on Lana's horse had caught everything.

A few hours later Clark took the camera home to review. As he popped the tape into the machiene Lex and Angela arrived and joined her parents on the couch.

"Looks like a simple accident," Lex pointed out to them.

"The horse just got spooked because they weren't expecting him to be there, but he lives in that forest it was bound to happen,"

"True, but Nell wants me to lie and say he attacked her too,"

"We'll work this out Clark, why don't you and I go speak to Kyle tomorrow about the incident, maybe if we get his side of things,"

"We will all go," Lex said not willing to let his girlfried go into the forest without him, even if she and her brother had powers due to the meteors.

"What about you meeting in the morning Lex,"

"Damnit forgot about it, you go but be careful I will go get the details, and will meet you at the forest when I can,"

"Deal Lex," Angela replied sitting closer to him on the couch.

The next day

Lex hated these things but he knew it was either attend or hear it from his father again. Unfortunatly Victoria Hardwick was there also.

"Mr Luthor, honour to see you again,"

"You as well Mr Rickman, interesting proposal you had up there, just where do you plan on building this new plant?,"

"The Kent farm was in my view for it,"

"My family won't let you have it, you see I'm with the daughter of that family and I know how her father is he won't sell,"

"We'll see," Rickman replied walking away from Lex.

Cursing Lex left the reception to meet up with Angela and Clark to warn them about Rickman.

As he began driving to the forest he was stopped by a text from Angela herself as if she knew he was thinking of her.

Lex meet at Beanery everything went ok Kyle is just a keep to himself person lana fell from her horse he was just checking on her when we arrived.

Lex smiled at the ending and turned the Porsche making his way towards town instead to get to the Beanery.

As he arrived and parked out front he noticed Angela sitting by the front door. It was odd cause she was with Clark, that's when he noticed Clark talking to Lana and Whitney.

"Hey love," Lex said as he stepped up to Angela as he entered the coffee shop.

"Hey hun, so Kyle wasn't all that bad Whiteny thinks we should have done worse then talk but he is a idiot,"

"True Angel, I know people like him they don't like adapting to change, it must be why he moved out there," Lex explained as he sat down beside her.

"Well look at this we meet again," came a rude voice from behind Lex.

"Rickman,"

"Nice little place,"

"Don't get any idea's it's the main spot of the town,"

"No worries I won't touch it I'm more interested in the Kent farm," as the man said that Angela's head whipped up as Lex pinched the bridge of his nose pissed he couldn't warn her.

"No look here you slime bucket my name is Kent as is my brother's over there, there is no way in hell my family will sell to you so take your scam lying ass back to wherever the hell you came from," as Angela ranted at Rickman everone was stunned in silence at how this normally sweet girl could be.

"At least someone agrees with me about you," came Kyle's voice from the doorway.

"Kyle what are you doing here," Rickman said in shock.

"I saw you wanted to tell you to leave you and i made a agreement for you to leave Smallville alone and your breaking that which means I could sue you,"

"I am interested in one piece of property only,"

"You weren't suppose to be going after any of it," Kyle replied angrily.

"Well times change," Rickman spat out as he stormed out of the beanery.

"Need a ride home?," Clark asked Kyle.

"Ya thanks," he answered as Clark gave his sister a one armed hug and left the Beanery.

The next day Angela had decided with Lex to spend the day at the farm while Lex handled some business at the plant. She was happy she had she was unstressing just taking care of the animals, along with the snow white Clysdale horse Lex had sent over as a gift.

"It's nice to meet you Mr Kent," Angela knew that voice now she was pissed.

"You too, what can I do for you?,"

"I'm interested in purchasing your farm,"

"I'm sorry my family's land isn't for sale, my son and daughter inherit it after me and my wife die,"

"Are you sure about that," Rickman tried his hardest to pursude Jonathon.

"Positive,"

"Well I'm sorry to hear that, have a nice day Mr Kent," as Rickman said that Angela looked out over the bannister of the loft only to see her father signing a contract.

"Dad no!," she yelled running downstairs.

"You again,"

"Slime ball what the hell did you do,"

"You're looking at the land's new owner," Rickman replied smirking.

"I will deal with you,"

"Have a nice day," Rickman replied walking out with a devious smirk on his face.

Angela had left the farm angrily and decided to go to the beanery to meet Clark and Lex, as she entered she threw herself into a seat beside Lex.

"What's wrong,"

"Somehow Rickman convinced dad to sign the farm to him,"

"He what!," Clark practically yelled.

"I'll send the lawyers over to handle this, but it may be iron clad if it was forced," Lex replied trying to help his love.

"Thank you Lex," Angela said leaning over kissing his cheek.

"I'll see you later I'm going to talk to Kyle maybe he knows what's going on,"

"Ok bro see you later,"

"Bye Clark," Lex said as Clark took off.

"Shall we go home?,"

"Yes Lex let me just grab a couple of things," Angela said as she headed to the counter to order herself a moccha lattee and chocolate chip muffin to go.

As Lex drove them home Angela couldn't help but worry about her family. She didn't want her dad to lose the farm, it had been in the family for many years.

"Love I will handle it,"

"How did you?,"

"You're lost in thought how I noticed is you stopped eating mid bite,"

"Oh,"Angela responded as she place the muffin back in the beanery bag.

As Lex drove through the gates and into the garage Angela slowly undid her seatbelt, and opened the door of the car.

Before she could even step out Lex surprised her by holding out his hand to her and pulling her into his embrace.

Smiling Angela and Lex entered the mansion just as Clark bursted thorough the front door.

"Clark? What's wrong?,"

"Kyle was just shot can we stay here for a bit,"

"Of course," Lex sad as he pulled out his phone.

"He will call his personal doctor let's get Kyle into the den," Angela said knowing what Lex was doing as she moved to show Kyle the way.

An hour later Toby was just finishing the stitches on Kyle's shoulder respectfully with no questions asked.

"This reminds me of the time you were stabbed Lex,"

"You were what?," Angela asked shocked.

"Oh hadn't told her yet eh,"

"No, no I hadn't had the time for that conversation," Lex replied as he sighed to gether the courage to tell Angela about it.

"I was at a club called Club Zero, got into a bad situation and suffered a stab wound,"

"Aw poor love," Angela said as she leaned over and kissed him.

After Toby left Angela politely showed Kyle to a guest room as Clark headed home.

Settling in for the night Lex held his Angel close as they drifted off into uneasy sleeps.

The Next Day

Lex had just received his Coffee from the barista of the beanery when he heard a familiar snide voice behind him.

"Hello again Lex," Rickman greeted Lex attempting to shake his hand.

"Get out of my sight," Lex replied walking around Rickman to leave.

"I can't help it I was just so good to get the farm,"

"I don't know how, but I will help them get it back,"

"We'll see Lex," Rickman replied just as Clark entered the Beanery.

"How did you persuade my father to sign your contract," Clark demanded.

"Just a good saleman," Rickman smirked as he held out his hand to Clark.

"Leave my family alone," Clark said as he took Rickman's hand and nearly broke it being uneffected by Rickman's powers.

As Clark and Lex entered the mansion they found Angela sitting in the pool room relaxing.

"Where's Kyle sis?,"

"Should be upstairs, last I left him he was reading while Rose cooks lunch,"

"He isn't there,"

"Must have left,"

"I know to where," Clark replied taking off to talk to Kyle again.

An hour later Angela laid in their jacuzzi tub relaxing, she hoped this time nothing stressful would disturb it. Of course she could never have peace though curse her super hearing as she heard Rickman's voice downstairs ordering Lex to do something.

Grabbing her robe from the door she threw open the bathroom door and rushed downstairs. unfortunatly she was too late as she saw Lex leave with Rickman.

Running upstairs Angela quickly dressed in her easier clothes to dress in the form of sweat pants and a t-shirt. After getting dressed she made her way downstairs and got into her Audi to follow Lex.

She was surprised to see he picked up Clark and Kyle before driving to metropolis. She was hurt though as she jumped out of her car as she saw Lex stop dead in the middle of a dead part of the city and grab a gas can.

"Lex what are you doing?," Angela yelled as she ran over to stop him.

"What I must," Lex replied robotically.

Turning she was afraid to see what was happening behind her but thank god for Clark. She watched her brother grab Kyle and rush out of the burning car.

"He is under the influence of green K snap him out of it," Angela heard at the volume only her ears would hear from Clark.

"Lex you can't hurt my brother, you're sick please love stop this," Angela pleaded but was stunned as Lex shoved her away and re-entered his car driving off.

Angela jumped back into the Audi and started to follow Lex again just as they pulled up to Frank's Auto Garage.

"Lex stop!," Angela yelled again as she saw Rickman hand Lex a gun.

She knew what she had to do and risking her own life Angela threw herself in front of her brother as Lex began firing.

All of a sudden Lex stopped. He was shocked at his behaviour as he dropped the gun he never remembered grabbing out of his hand, and seeing his beloveds injured body in front of him.

"Angel!," Lex said as he dropped to his kness to help his beloved.

Angela smiled seeing him from under the influence of green kryptonite as they applied pressure to her stomach wound.

"I'm so sorry love,"

"It's ok Lex you're better that's all that matters,"

"Explain later?,"

"Yes," she replied as she threw Clark her keys just as they see Rickman drop to the ground dead.

"I was always the better businessman," Kyle says innocently at his role in it.

Sensing Kyle's honestly he gave Clark a knowing nod before leaving to go back to his home in the woods.

Angela laid curled up in the front seat of the Porsche as Clark followed them home in the Audi. All of a sudden the car phone 2 way crackles that Clark was using it.

"Our friendship won't end like their's right Lex," Clark asked.

"No Clark, because ours is the stuff of legends," Lex replied giving Angela a sweet smile.

Angela knew then and there this man would always be the one she could trust with her family no matter what, as long as she had him nothing could ruin it. How wrong she would be.
