Angela stood around looking at the most boring rocks in her opinion on the geometery trip they were dragged on. She smiled as she felt her phone vibrate against her hip. Slipping it out of her pocket she lit up as she saw it was Lex.
"Love will be having a visitor over tonight, no worries not her, just some details to deal with wanted to make sure you knew so there were no surprises. P.S. there is a pizza place by your location go eat I know your bored. Love you xoxo."
Angela laughed out loud by accident at how well Lex knew her, and taking his direction went to go find Clark to get him to go with her to get pizza for them.
As she went to approach Clark she noticed he was helping Eric, a friend of her's who must have fell over the Smallville Dam wall. Noticing how there was a storm brewing Angela went to run over to help her brother and friend when all of a sudden a strike of lightning hit Clark, which in turn caused a smoke of green mist to appear making Angela collapse coughing and weakening.
Reaching into her pocket she dug her phone out and hit the emergency button Lex told her about on the side of her phone.
As she laid on the ground feeling so sick she noticed Clark across from her looking the same, but that Eric was up on his feet and looking like he didn't have a care in the world.
She didn't know how long she had been laying there before she heard Lex's voice yelling for her as he jumped out of his car.
As he arrived at her side he bent down brushing the hair from her face to look into her blue eyes.
"Love are you ok," Lex asked so worried about her.
Angela couldn't muster the words to come out so she shook her head no. Then motioned to Clark laying across from her.
Noticing his brother he quickly got to work bending down picking Angela up bridal style and got her comfortable in the porsche. Then he went back for Clark and helping him walk with a arm under his shoulders he got him into the back seat.
He knew what could have caused this Angela wouldn't use her help button for any small emergency it was mainly for green kryptonite attacks. He growled as he drove his family towards the castle hating the amount rocks in the town.
Remembering Clark was in the back seat he turned quickly at the turn for the Kent farm and drove down the dirt road to the house.
As he got closer he noticed the porch light turn on and Jonathon Kent come out on the porch.
"Lex?!,"
"Yes Jonathon it's me, Clark and Angela got sick on their trip so I brought Clark home to you before I take Angela home,"
"Thank you Lex," Jonathon replied sincerly as he pulled his son from the back seat.
"Hope he feels better," Lex said as he got back in the drivers seat and turned to take Angela home.
As they arrived at the mansion Lex didn't care about the car or anything since he had the gate around the property all that mattered was getting Angela inside.
Stopping the car in front of the front doors he jumped out after putting the car in park and opened the passenger side door. Sliding his arms under her legs and behind her back he gently removed her from the car and made his way inside, and up the stairs to their bedroom.
As they entered the bedroom he laid Angela upon the bed and quickly slipped her boots off, and then her black jeans, and finally her blue tank top. Making his way to the dresser he grabbed her silk pajamas from the top where she had laid them this morning and quickly redressed her.
After making sure she was resting comfortably he quickly changed into his own pajamas,sent a text off postponing his appointment, and slipped into bed beside her pulling her into his arms falling into a uneasy sleep.
The next day
Angela groaned as she sat curled up in the passenger seat with a spilting migraine as Lex drove her to the farm. He said she should rest but she worried about her brother, especially after seeing him burn his hands for the first time ever while touching fire.
As they pulled up to the farm house Angela was stunned to see Clark walking back to the house with a bloody nose.
"What the hell Clark?," Angela asked as she got out of the porsche.
"Don't ask I don't know,"
"Maybe something happened when you helped Eric yesterday, Clark your hands burnt we're fireproof we don't burn,"
"I know, i think the lightning strike did something to me, what about you?,"
"I don't know I didn't try," Angela replied as she pondered it.
Stepping over to face the barn Angela focused her vision on a small bush and was happy to see it begin to burn quickly.
"Good you're ok," Lex's voice came from behind Clark as he watched Angela try her powers.
"Yeah but Clark isn't, maybe we should ask Eric when we go to school Monday,"
"We will sis, but you go on home ok just rest I don't like you hurting neither does Lex,"
"Ok bro, just wanted to check on you,"
"I know Ang I love you and talk later ok,"
"Love you too bro," Angela replied hugging Clark before making her way back to the car with Lex.
As Lex drove them back towards the mansion Angela groaned before turning towards Lex.
"Love I'm not going to go to school today my head is killing me,"
"I was going to suggest it anyways you can just curled up in the den and rest in front of the fire while I work," as Lex suggested that Angela nodded and leaned over resting against lex as he drove.
When they arrived back at the mansion Rose aided Angela in bringing her pillows and a blanket down to the den, alongside her portable tv with movable cable box so she could watch a bit of television quietly while Lex worked.
Curled up on the couch Lex couldn't help but smile as he read over plant reports and budget forms. Suddenly the doors bursted open to reveal the most annoying person he hated, Rodger Nixon.
"What do you want Nixon,"
"I have photographoc and 3-D prints that you hit that Kent boy on the bridge that day,"
"Lex?,"
"Rest Angel I'll handle it," Lex called back in response.
"I don't know why you stuck your nose in my family's business but if I were you I would forget everything you learned or you will be ruined,"
"You wil get yours one day Luthor, just you wait," Nixon replied storming out of the den to leave the mansion.
"I hate that man," came Angela's tired voice from where she was peaking over the edge of the couch.
"I knew already that I hit him, the moment you told me about you,"
"He didn't want you to worry about it, he saved you love that's what matters,"
"You're right Angel now rest I'm going to finish up these reports," nodding Angela curled back up watching Wes Craven's Nightmare on Elm Street as she left Lex to focus.
"I'll be back love ok I'm going to go check on Clark you stay there resting,"
"Ok Lex," Angela replied knowing he just wanted her to feel better from the effects of the green kryptonite she was around the previous day.
As Lex arrived on the farm he took a deep breath before approaching Clark.
"Why didn't you tell me?,"
"Ugh tell you what Lex," Clark replied feeling so exhausted from his chores that he had to do without his powers.
"That I hit you that day on the bridge," Lex said as he watched Clark struggle with mending the fence.
"Cause I didn't want you to know before, and after you found out about my sister I didn't find it revelent,"
"Well it was Clark, how am I to take care of my family if I don't know everything," Lex replied slightly angrily.
"Yea well I don't have anything anymore since that incident on the dam, go ahead hit me with the hammer I'll bleed and hurt just like you would now," Clark shot back at Lex furious.
"Clark, I'm sorry but I just wanted to know to keep you and Angela safe,"
"I understand, no hard feelings," Clark sighed out as he returned back to mending the fence.
Nodding Lex returned back to his car hoping Angela never found out about him confronting Clark, but knowing anything she would.
As he returned back to the mansion he smiled as he stood in the doorway to the den seeing Angela sleeping peacefully on the couch. Making his way upstairs Lex changed out of his clothes into his pajamas, and made his way back downstairs. Re-entering the den he dimmed the lights and joined Anglea on the couch falling alseep with her.
The Next Day
Angela felt better after resting the previous day so she had returned to school. Clark was having fun without his powers, and she was happy he was happy for now before they got them back to him, which they would they had to.
Making her way into the Torch office she noticed the new issue selling out quickly. Grabbing one she sat down in the chair out of the way as Chloe finished selling them.
"Morning Chlo,"
"Well well look who is back," Chloe joked walking over and giving Angela a hug.
"Yea its been nuts lately and yesterday I wasn't well so I stayed home, I'm a senior it's not like I can't catch up anything I missed,"
"True, thankfully its our last year, just make sure you don't get lost in Lex's world after you leave,"
"I promise no getting lost," Angela replied laughing as she turned back to read the paper.
"Super boy?,"
"Yeah Eric Summers yesterday caught a thief who stole my laptop, and ran so fast and stopped him with such incredible powers," nodding ANgela now knew where her brother's powers were.
"Interesting, didn't know Eric had it in him,"
"Neither did I but he did,"
"Cool, look Chlo I'm going to go meet Clark see if he wants a ride home I'll call you later," Angela said getting up, grabbing her bag, and leaving with paper in hand.
"Clark look at this,"Angela called out to her brother where he stood talking to Pete.
"Seriously he is boasting about this," Clark said disgusted at Eric's actions.
"Yup, and everyone is flocking on him, wait til they turn on him for his powers,"
"Yup, look sis Pete and I got invited to a game of basketball, hang onto this but your welcome to come watch,"
"It's ok Lex is in Metropolis for the evening I'm going to go home and do girl things,"
"Ugh TMI ok love you sis talk later," Clark replied hugging his sister before taking off with Pete.
Metropolis
Lex was bored out of his mind, he wished so badly Angela was with him here but knew she wouldn't like it with the Hardwicks here. Sighing he shot back another whiskey thankful he could sleep the alcohol off in the penthouse.
"Ah Lex sorry to keep you waiting,"
"You wanted to meet Harry why be late I started reconsidering my decision to help you,"
"I don't need your help Lex, I just bought Campus Labs so I plan on buying Luthorcorp right out,"
"No you can't check your records, that is a non profitable company right now, good luck Mr Hardwick you won't receive my help anymore. I knew Victoria would try to steal information it's why I planted that company for her to find. Goodbye Mr Hardwick," Lex left laughing as he headed across the street to the Luthorcorp building to sleep for the night.
As he settled into bed he grabbed his phone to text Angela before he fell asleep.
'Love we were right she stole that bogus file and helped her father buy it,will be home in the morning I love you Angel xoxo'
Placing his phone on the table beside himhe fell asleep the best he could alone.
The Mansion
Angela grabbed her phone soon as she heard the ding of the text she received and smiled seeing it was from Lex. As she read it she laughed at how stupid the Hardwicks thought they were about their files. Smiling she replied to his message though knowing he wouldn't get it til morning.
'That's hilarious love, you be safe and sleep well in that penthouse. I know you have it hard without me now a days but i love you Lex dreaming of you xoxo'
Placing her own phone on their night table she curled up and played her newest movie of the Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The Next Day
"What the hell happened?," Angela exclaimed as she and Lex entered the farmhouse.
"Eric threw me and I hurt my ribs,"
"Are you Alright Clark?," Lex asked concerned.
"Yeah I'll be fine," he replied still a bit upset with Lex over the previous visit.
"We really need to get the powers back from Eric,"
"You're right," Clark agreed as Martha finished with her son's ribs.
"Eric's parents called the Sheriff, surposedly they are afraid of him too I found out the other day in town," Jonathon spoke up as he read the paper at the kitchen island.
"We need to help him soon," Angela said as she sat down to try and figure out how to get Clark's powers back.
"I know how," Clark replied as he got up and headed outside to the loft.
He returned ten minutes later with the same lead box Lex had gave him. She knew what was inside.
"Clark are you sure?,"
"Yes but you need to just get Eric there he is your friend he will listen to you, I will do the rest Lex will get you out of there,"
"Why what's the plan?," Lex asked curiously.
"It was lightning that took it with green kryptonite, Lana's necklace and the power from the power cable there will restore them,"
"That's why you want me to get Angela out of there casue of the green kryptonite,"
"Yes, she already had a bad reaction from it once she doesn't need it again,"
"You're right Clark, I will make sure to get her away from there as far as possible before you complete the plan," Lex agreed placing a arm around Angela's shoulders.
Making their way out of the farm house after telling their parents that they would be back and all in complete pieces Lex, Clark,and Angela entered the porsche and made their way to the dam.
Angela had called Eric in the car and asked him to meet her, that she was still his friend, and that she could help him.
They had arrived first and not more then five minutes later Eric had arrived as well.
"Angela?,"
"Hey Eric, it's ok Clark and I can help you. I know your parents and the others don't understand you now, you just need to listen to us and believe us. The day the lightning struck you and Clark you inherited his powers he got from the meteor shower, but if we cause that occurance to happen again we can transfer them back and you can be yourself again,"
"Normal?," Eric asked Angela wanting to be sure he heard her right.
"Yeah normal again Eric just trust Clark ok I'm going to go with my boyfriend in the car cause what he is going to use makes me sick to be around but I will be here ok," as Eric nodded in response Angela made her way back to the car and joined Lex to watch what happens.
The event didn;t take as long as they thought it would. The power cables worked as did the necklace. Lex had gotten out of the car and quickly made his way over shoving the necklace back in the box before checking on Clark and Eric.
Angela remained in the car so that the after effects of the kryptonite cloud that had appeared wouldn't make her sick again. She watched as Lex checked on Eric first and after making sure he was awake checked on Clark.
Lex carefully got both boys to their feet and arranged them in the back seats. After getting back in the porsche he began driving. First to the hospital where we dropped off Eric with instructions for the doctors to call his family.
Then next we dropped off Clark at the farm. Angela's parent's were happy to hear things worked out and helped Clark in to take care of him.
As Lex and Angela arrived back at the mansion they were met with Nixon waiting in the den. Thankfully both their computers were locked so he couldn't access anything but they were still wary of him being there.
"What do you want Nixon,"
"Figured you would want this dirt on your father for your plans," he replied handing over a envelope to Lex.
"Could have left it with my housekeeper,"
"Trust me not what you want in the wrong hands," Nixon replied as he turned and left the mansion.
"I hate him," as Angela said that Lex began laughing.
"I don't like him either love," as he said that he pulled Angela in for a kiss.
Throwing the envelope on the desk Lex and Angela made their way upstairs for what would be their first peaceful sleep in days. Little did they know that things would slowly get worse as time went on.
