Friday.
Gabe and Steve pushed Sookie and a new man Hugo in the jail cell and locked it.
"More traitors." Steve said
Steve and Gabe left. Maria and Sookie hugged.
"I didn't want Eric to tell you. (Maria stopped hugging her sister.) I was looking for his maker, Godric." Maria said
"Why do you think we're here?" Sookie asked her sister
"Who are you?" Hugo asked Maria
"I'm Maria Stackhouse." Maria said
"She's my sister." Sookie said
"Oh my god. Jason." Maria said
"What about Jason?" Sookie asked in confusion
"He's here. He feels guilty." Maria said
"Dammit, Jason." Sookie said
"And I don't know where Godric is." Maria said
"Remember how I said I was claustrophobic? I wasn't makin' that part up. It's bad. Okay, I can't take elevators, walk-in closets. You know, hotels where they tuck the sheets in all tight? Just thinkin' about that makes me want to scream." Hugo said
Sookie looked at board games about killing vampires.
"Jesus Christ, Vampire Exterminator? Silver and Stakes? Send'Em Back to Hell? So sick teachin' kids to hate like this." Sookie said
"I don't have time for games right now. I need to get out of here." Hugo said
Maria walked towards Hugo.
"Take a deep breath. Look at me. (Hugo looked at Maria.) It's gonna be okay." Maria said
"Okay, I'm okay." Hugo said
"So the Newlins knew who we were the minute we walked in. Same way they knew to come after me at the airport. 'Cause someone at the nest is a traitor." Sookie said
"You think a vampire's siding with the Fellowship to get Godric out of the way?" Hugo asked Sookie
"Stan? 'Cause he wants to be sheriff? I've heard of ambitious, but that's just plain crazy." Sookie said
"Both of you met him. I mean, he would rip our throats out for lookin' at his sideways." Hugo said
"It's true, Bill and Eric could do a lot worse to him when they find out." Maria said
"These fanatics are about to barbecue a 2000-year-old vampire in front of the entire congregation. Who knows what else they're capable of?" Sookie said
"True." Maria said
Saturday.
Maria, Sookie, and Hugo sit on the floor.
"Mornin'." Steve said
"They're coming for us, you know?" Sookie said
"Yeah, well, that's what I thought. Actually, we were kinda hopin' for it, weren't we Gabe?" Steve asked Gabe
"Yes, sir. Bring it on." Gabe said
"Yeah, we're ready for him. We've been ready for a long time." Steve said
"You're gonna get yourself killed. That's not a threat, it's a fact." Sookie said
"Don't hold your breath on that one." Maria said
"They've got you all twisted up, haven't they, with their...with their glamoring and their empty promises and their evil blood." Steve said
"You're the ones who are twisted." Maria said
"You call yourself Christians? Jesus would be ashamed of you." Sookie said
"Oh, I guess we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on that one. Now, things got a little out of hand and I apologize that. I'm not the monster that the vampire-lovin' media makes me out to be." Steve said
"Bullshit." Maria said
All I want is answers and then I'll be more than happy to feed you a nice hot breakfast and send you on your way. Who's Eric Northman?" Steve asked them
Maria doesn't say anything cause she really likes Eric, Sookie's not going to tell him cause she doesn't want to hurt her sister and Hugo just couldn't take it anymore.
"What do you want to know?" Hugo asked Steve
"Shut up." Sookie said
"We need to get out of here." Hugo said
"Shut the fuck up." Maria said
"Her name is Sookie Stackhouse, that's her sister Maria and I'm Hugo Ayers." Hugo said
"I'm warning you." Maria said
"We were sent here by the vampires of Area Nine to find their sheriff. Eric Northman is finding his maker Godric." Hugo said
Maria punched him out cold.
"Stackhouse? Maria and Sookie Stackhouse? From Bon Temps?" Steve asked both Maria and her sister
"Great." Maria said
"Both of you are Jason Stackhouse's sisters. Am I right?" Steve asked Maria and her sister
"Leave him alone!" Maria said
"Come on, Gabe." Steve said
Steve and Gabe leave.
"Sook..." Maria said as her sister cuts her off
"Shhh." Sookie said
Sookie concentrate.
Couple hours later.
"You stupid, fucking, idiot." Maria said
"Punching me didn't do anything." Hugo said
"Yeah cause you're a complete moron. Turning Eric and Bill over to them." Maria said
Sookie touches Hugo's hand and sees a flash back. She removes her hand.
"You. You're the traitor." Sookie said
"You...you son of a bitch." Maria said
Maria was about to punch him again but Sookie stopped her.
"Thought I was a real emancipated thinker, especially when Isabel took me to bed, and the sex was...amazing. The best I ev... well, you know. It's addictive, isn't it? To be desired by something that powerful." Hugo said
"It's not an addiction." Maria said
"We're not addicts." Sookie said
"I guess you two wouldn't know how both your lives changes to suit them. You start missin' work, can't get up in the morning, can't stand to leave them after dark. Before you know it, you're somebody you don't even recognize." Hugo said
"So you went to the Fellowship because you can't control yourself?" Sookie asked Hugo
"I begged her to turn me. It was the only way we could be together as equals. But see, they don't want us to be equals. No, she's just been using me. The same way that Bill's been using you. (Hugo looked at Maria.) Just like Eric is using you." Hugo said
"You don't know them." Maria said
"Really? Doing their dirty work? A telepath's gotta be a real trophy for Bill and I don't know what Eric has on you." Hugo said
"None of your concern." Maria said
"All they care about is their own kind. That's why I joined the Fellowship." Hugo said
So if the Newlins care so much about you, how come you're still in here?" Maria asked Hugo
"Face reality, Hugo. You're nothin' but a fangbangin' traitor to them." Sookie said
"Gabe. Gabe, they know everything. You can let me out now. Hey. Anybody. Come on, let me out!" Hugo said
"Wow. You're so all-fired important to them, aren't ya?" Maria asked Hugo
Gabe comes in the basement and unlocks the bars.
"Gabe. What happened to your face? Listen, she knows everything, which never would have happened if you hadn't kept me locked down with a goddamn mind reader and her sister. I hope the reverend knows that I'm gonna need protection now." Hugo said
Gabe punches Hugo. Maria did a running kick at Gabe.
"You can fight? (Maria eyes turn green and she growls like a tiger.) What the fuck?" Gabe said
A vampire appeared behind Gabe, hold him in a chokehold, and it is Godric who's doing it.
"Godric?" Maria said
