Billy Loomis was the first boyfriend Sidney ever had, but already she felt like he was going to be her only one.

She knew that she probably shouldn't be saying that at seventeen since she was so inexperienced with the world, but something deep in her heart and soul were telling her that now that Billy was in her life, she wouldn't want anyone else romantically.

It was easy to have those feelings whenever she was with Billy, especially when he did things that made her feel like she was the only girl in the world.

One of those things was when he gave her a promise ring three months ago. It was their first anniversary since they started dating in sophomore year, only a few short weeks after he moved to Woodsboro with his parents.

The promise ring was a beautiful piece of jewelry. There was a decently sized crystal in the middle of a rose gold band, colored aquamarine for her birthstone. Smaller white crystals were on either side, topped with rose gold pearls. It was gorgeous and, as Billy told her, simple enough to suit her tastes but elegant enough to represent the way he viewed her and their love.

A promise ring symbolized commitment, devotion, and loyalty to your partner, and when Billy presented her with that ring, Sidney felt her heart swell with happiness. This brooding bad boy whose previous relationships never lasted more than a few months at a time was showing her with one little ring that he wanted her to be his forever.

"As long as you're wearing this," he'd told her as he slid the ring onto her finger, the soft smile making his handsome features even more attractive. "You will always be mine." Then he'd kissed her, their lips meeting in an outpour of intense emotions.

She wore his ring every day, loving the feeling of belonging solely to him.

The promise ring may have been the biggest example of Billy's fidelity, but she's witnessed another one recently: he was wearing the earring she gave him shortly before she received her promise ring.

For her fifteenth birthday, her parents had gifted her this lovely pair of dangling gold earrings, and Sidney adored them. She wore them nearly every day and decided to give Billy one of them. Those earrings were special to her and she wanted to show Billy that he was special to her as well. Now he wore that earring on his left ear, not only to match hers but to further prove how seriously he viewed their relationship.

Billy wasn't the only dedicated one, though. Sidney was just as determined to have her always and forever with him as he was with her.

She never took off her promise ring. From the moment she laid eyes on it, she was smitten and she refused to leave it off of her hand longer than the time it took for her to take a shower. She wore it at school, when she ate…even when she went to bed, she held her ring hand close to her chest, over her heart. Sidney couldn't imagine ever willingly parting from such an important symbol of her relationship.

Seeing Billy's ecstatic and satisfied face when she came to school, wearing and proudly showing off her ring to the entire student body (especially those who envied their relationship and kept hoping that they would break up, like the empty-headed cheerleaders or that bitch Christina) made her the happiest girl in the world.

Much like the way Billy kept her earring, Sidney kept so many pictures of her boyfriend everywhere: in her locker, on her desk in her bedroom, and in between the pages of her notebooks and books. She had shots of him lying on the edge of the water fountain during lunch with one leg touching the ground and the other stretched out and touching her side, shots of him practicing on the football field with his teammates, shots of him enraptured by the horror movies he likes, shots of him smiling and being so calm as he laid his head on her lap, even shots of him actually concentrating on his textbooks as they held their weekly study dates. Those weren't the only ones, though; she had so many more she's lost count at this point.

Sidney was a theater kid, but she also picked up a love for photography ever since her aunt Kate had given her a brand new camera. Billy became her favorite subject each time she turned on her Polaroid and she just couldn't resist taking pictures of her boyfriend whether he was aware of it or not. She'd get them developed as soon as possible and keep them in safe places where she could admire them every day.

She loved all of the pictures she took of Billy, but she did have a favorite…

Sidney reached over and grabbed her English notebook. Opening it and flipping through the pages, she came to a stop at the section that read: "Romeo and Juliet: Act 2, Scene 2." Smiling at the irony, she removed the picture tucked carefully behind the first page and gazed at it.

It was the first time he climbed the tree beside the side of her house that her room was on and when she opened the window and saw him, her very own Romeo, nothing could stop her from snapping a picture to preserve the moment.

He was staring into the camera, a fond smile lifting his lips when he saw the Polaroid come into view. His lower half was hidden outside of the window, resting securely on the thick tree branch behind him, his upper half supporting him as he leaned in towards her through the window. His eyes—a beautiful, expressive brown—were soft and shining with love. He looked every bit the Romeo he was, coming to see his Juliet.

Sidney smiled widely at the photo, fingertip caressing his face. "I love you," she whispered, bringing the laminated piece of paper up to her face to give it a kiss.

Sidney Prescott may have only been seventeen, but she was sure that Billy Loomis was her one true love and the things they've done for each other only proved that they were going to be each other's last.
