"I don't care how many of you guys it takes I want Lex found now do it!," Angela screamed into the phone startling Clark as he entered the mansion.

"Woah sis what's going on?,"

"Lex's been taken, I don't know by who or why but I will find him,"

"We will find him sis your not alone," as Clark said that he hugged his steaming sister to calm her not knowing what Lex was going through.

Metropolis

"Luthor, comfortable," a sinister voice asked as a gentleman approached Lex where he was hung upside down in a straitjacket.

"What do you want? I have people looking for me you won't succeed with whatever your planning,"

"Oh but I will Luthor before that girlfriend of yours can find me," the man laughed as he stepped away seeing Lex startled that he knew about Angela.

"Now to begin, my name is Jude Royce, and you're going to tell me what happened to my fiance three years ago at Club Zero,"

"I don't know what your talking about,"

"Think real hard," Jude said as Lex began to think back.

Flashback

Lex entered the flashing lights of Club Zero with his two friends Max and Amanda. They wanted to unwind and enjoy the evening and thought this would be the perfect place. With Max being his bodyguard Lex assumed they would be safe there even if he let go a little.

Amanda was the fiance of Jude Royce, who was out of town for the evening so she was planned to spend time with her friend.

Lex noticed Amanda freeze as they were trying to make their way to a free table and stepped closer to her to get her attention.

"Amanda?,"

"Lex look," she replied pointing across the room to where her suppose out of town fiance sat nestled between two women.

Yanking off her engagement ring she flung it across the room hitting Jude in the chest as he finally noticed her before she ran off.

Catching up to Amanda crying on the dance floor Lex wasn't going to tell her he knew about Jude's extra activities just that he knew she deserved better its why he brought her here on purpose.

Unbeknownst to them Jude catches up to them too. That's when they begin exchanging blows. When suddenly Jude pulled out a knife stabbing Lex in the shoulder.

Then there was the gunshots as Max did his duty and shot and killed Jude for stabbing Lex.

End Flashback

"It was you who killed me, not Max,"

"It was Max how could I shoot you, you had just stabbed me!," Lex replied as Jude suddenly raises a gun to kill Lex in revenge for his death.

Smallville

One Week Earlier

"Can you believe this assignment," Clark complained to his sister as they entered the Talon stopping briefly at the sight of Lana arguing with a contractor.

"Wait here. Is there a problem?," Angela demanded to know as she approached Lana and the contractor in her business persona.

"It's the plumbing Angela,"

"I'll handle this since Lex and I are partners with you, you deal with the gentleman behind you," as Angela shooed Lana off she began to deal with the plumber.

Lex entered the Talon after a brief meeting with his ex bodyguard Max who wasn't suppose to be there but he could understand why he was he became increasingly upset as he saw that his foe Jude Royce had applied at the Talon as assistant manager.

Storming out Lex got in his car to head home when suddenly as he started it a song began playing rather loudly, the same one that had been playing the night Jude Royce was supposedly killed.

"Try the cd player under the dash," Angela's voice drifted into the car as she leaned on the door staring at Lex with the 'i'm disappointed you stormed out look on her face'.

"Thanks," Lex said as he finally got the song stopped.

"You're welcome," Angela replied as she opened the door and slid into the passenger seat.

"Come back in the contractor wants to deal with you not your as he put it 'little girlfriend',"

"Now that was rude of him," Lex replied suddenly anger at the lack of disrespect.

"Clark's busy with Lana for the school assignment so they are upstairs,"

"Good to know," Lex said as he held the door open allowing Angela to enter first.

"Oh my god what happened," Angela said in shock as Lex began to rouse the contractor from where he was unconscious on the floor.

"Damn, who hit me?,"

"You were hit?,"

"Yeah, kids went upstairs then bam lights out from behind,"

"Lex..this box is for you," Angela spoke noticing a gift box on the table beside where she stood.

Standing up Lex made his way over gesturing for his love to step back just in case it was dangerous.

Gently lifting the lid a bit Lex sighed in disappointment as he removed the lid completely revealing the severed hand of his old friend Max, his ring he never took off being the object to stand out as his.

"Max...,"

"A friend of yours love?,"

"Yeah long time friend, if this is his I'm afraid if he is even still alive,"

"Hold out hope Lex maybe he is but let's get this to the security team ok," Angela replied taking the lid from Lex's hand and re closing the box to take it home with them.

At School

"Stay out of my life!," Clark yelled at Chloe hating that she was digging so much into his life.

"Woah Clarkzilla chill bro what's wrong?,"

"Here," Clark shoved two documents into her hands, they adoption records,"

"What about them Clark?,"

"She found out the Metropolis United Charities were only in business six months and we were the only adoptions they handled. Sis I don't want her digging into our lives, Pete told her about the bully,"

"Damn, yeah good point she needs to stop now assignment or no assignment this is out of hand,"

"Talk to her?,"

"Yeah go on Clark head to class I'll talk to her now," Angela said sending her brother on his way.

Entering the Torch office Chloe was typing away on her computer as she made her way to her.

"You need to stop Chloe,"

"Not you too,"

"Yes me too. This, what you're doing isn't only hurting Clark it includes me as well. If you're my friend you will stop. We don't want to know anything about where we came from or who our birth parents are, we have each other we're just thankful they didn't split us twins up. Now Chloe stop before I take legal action,"

"You wouldn't,"

"I would cause your digging into our past and we don't appreciate it, now stop or I will contact Lex's lawyers," as Angela said that she made her way out of the office hoping Chloe would stop.

The Mansion

"Max never made it Metropolis to the safe house,"

"Thanks Rains do your best to try and find out more ok,"

"You know I will, also Jude Royce had no siblings and parents are deceased,"

"Ok Rains," Lex replied as his head of security left the gym as Angela stormed in bee lining it for the punching bag.

"Angel wha..," Lex didn't even finish that sentence as Angela took one good punch at the bag sending it smashing into the wall busting off the steel hook it was attached to.

"Now..I feel better," Angela said finally releasing some of her anger.

"What did my punching bag ever do to you babe?,"

"Chloe pissed me off,"

"How?,"

"She is digging into mine and Clark's past and if she keeps up she will find out what we are,"

"I'll handle it,"

"Thank you love," Angela replied as she approached Lex and wrapped her arms around his waist and her head on his chest.

"That all that pissed you off?,"

"Yeah, any news on your friend?,"

"Unfortunately he didn't make it to the safe house,"

"Oh no I hope they can find out more,"

"Me too love, me too," Lex replied kissing her forehead.

As Lex continued his workout as Angela headed upstairs to do her homework he began to have a flashback to Club Zero.

Flashback

Lex stood by pushing on his shoulder as Amanda cried over the body of her dead fiance, despite everything she didn't want him dead. Looking up Lex sees Sam Phelan arrive. After explaining that he and Max had their hands on Max's gun struggling for the gun after Jude had stabbed Lex Sam agreed to make it so Lex's name didn't appear in any reports.

Handing Lex a card he gestured for them to leave to get Lex patched up. Thankfully the man Sam sends him to is the best in keeping his mouth shut so the fact he was stabbed would never see the light of day.

End Flashback

Clark was in the loft when he heard footsteps on the stairs.

"Clark?,"

"What Chloe?,"

"I'm sorry, Angela made me see my mistakes and I will stop digging into your lives and will just write a basic simple report for class from whatever point in your life you want to start with,"

"Thanks Chloe I really appreciate that," Clark said as he leaned over hugging his oldest friend.

"So what happened to your herd, it's all over the town,"

"I don't know Lex is handling it,"

"Nice brother in law,"

"Yeah no kidding, can you help me with something though,"

"Sure what's up." Chloe asked as Clark began showing her the clippings he had of Club Zero.

Hacking into the DMV she pulls his license first obviously it was a fake. Knowing something wasn't right Clark had Chloe send the Metropolis PD to the address as he sped away to get there himself.

He arrived too late though as he noticed the house surrounded by cop cars, and a coroner that was removing a body bag from the house. Scanning the body Clark discovered the body had no hand and knew he had found Lex's friend.

Asking one of the officers where he could find Club Zero so he could try and at least save Lex the cop explains it had been closed for the past six months but gives him the address anyways.

Jude was just about to try and shoot Lex again but was stopped as he was shot from behind. Looking out Lex noticed Roy the contractor from the Talon. Bracing himself he makes a sudden 'oof' sound as he hit the floor after Roy shot the chains holding him to the ceiling.

"Who are you?," Lex puffed out as he caught his breath.

"I'm Amanda's brother from Central City. When I was in prison Amanda was the only one who visited me til a year ago, she took her life and I blame you," Roy replied as Lex stared up at him in shock at the news of Amanda's death.

"I was in Bludhaven when I met a man who looked like Jude figured he would do good enough for the role to get vengeance for my sister's death, and now you're going to tell me what really happened that night,"

"Sure, ok after Jude stabbed me in the shoulder Max pulled out his gun but a dancer bumped into him and he dropped it. Amanda picked it up, she shot Jude," Lex could see that wasn't what he wanted to hear as he grew furious.

Roy slammed Lex against the fish tank ready to shoot him. Just as he was about to Lex twisted away and went over the railing. Thankfully Clark arrived in time and shoved a couch under him before he could hit the floor.

Rushing upstairs Clark threw Roy into a post knocking him unconscious. Speeding back to the door he made it look like he was just arriving as Lex gave him a 'seriously' look as Clark walked over slower to untie his brother.

"Ready to go home?,"

"Yeah I bet Angel is freaking out,"

"You think? She was freaking out on your security team last I saw her,"

"I smell bonus time to make up for that," as Lex said that shaking his head Clark just laughed as he and Lex headed outside to handle the questions from the police, and to finally go home.
